We are working along the road a bit, and I have already eaten in two cafes / restaurants along this road. What a find this one was. Relatively small, with limited outside seating, but what they may lack in size, they more than make up for with their food. In construction, Breakfast / Brunch is always a good thing, and having found Little Lisbon, wont be going anywhere else when I am in the area again. A warm greeting, table found, food and drinks order taken quite quickly. I was impressed with the speed and standard of service. The food came out quite quickly, and what a joy it was. As I dont do eggs, I had asked for (and received with no bother what so ever)an extra sausage, good, meaty, herby. Very good produce that had been well cooked and well presented. A goldfish bowl of very good coffee on the side rounded out what was probably one of the best brunches I have had in a very long time. What surprised me the most was the cost. My breakfast, with coffee included, came in at £6.20. The coffee alone was worth £3. I will be returning again and again until we stop working in the area. Please, please give this place a try, you will not regret it.

Comida deliciosa y el servicio. Ambiente relajante.

This place is perfect for a casual dinner in Kennington and I visit fairly regularly. I did have one bad meal experience (very boring fish with fries and a rubbish salad) but have since stuck to their tapas or ceviche/seafood skewers and haven't been disappointed. I will say the initial visit was just after they opened so maybe they hadn't quite figured out the menu. Their sangria is delicious too.

I went along here with some friends (so called) for dinner. I was very happily surprised. The food was great and the service excellent. I ordered the Bitoque which was a really good choice, following this I had a dessert which was enough to share with one of my friends. I would highly recommend this restaurant and I also thank Sara for the excellent service she gave us.

My husband had been desperate to try this little restaurant for ages and tonight we took an old (and I mean old) friend out for his birthday and decided it was the right opportunity to try Little Lisbon. Wow! Reasonable prices, amazing portions and all very tasty and freshly cooked. The desserts were out of this world - we were happily stuffed by the end of the meal. The evening was enhanced by the wonderful front of house service from the very lovely and attentive Sara, who went out of her way to make us feel welcome. Give this place a try. We will be returning.

Came here for a quick lunch the other week. With hindsight, we should have ordered from the all day breakfast/brunch menu, as another table had done this, and their food looked good. I ordered a burger, which was, frankly, terrible. It was so underdone as to still be mooing, and the meat wasn't nice - more of a pink slurry than actual meat. Sent it back, and it was regrilled. My daughter ordered the vegetarian pasta, which was overcooked and swimming in water (not a sauce, it really was just water). The "sauce" was quite tasteless. From the name, we had assumed that this would be somewhere that served Portuguese food, not standard cafe fare. The decor is really pretty and a lot of thought has gone into the presentation of the place - it feels like it should become a local place where you can go for a good dinner and relax over a bottle of wine, but the reality is that it is serves dull and uninspiring food and is a lot worse than other greasy spoons in the area. A real pity - they are missing a trick here.

We visited Little Lisbon having spotted it a few months back and a friend who joined us had been there a couple of times since and really enjoyed it. I also go often to Portugal and was looking forward to trying it. There was very little on the menu that seemed particularly Portuguese- and the only Portuguese wine was Mateus Rose! What we ordered was pretty poor - the "spit" of pork which, according to our friend, was usually melt in the mouth was dry and chewy and overall everything was disappointing. It seems it is no longer to be a Portuguese restaurant and is changing but not sure what into. What a shame - we won't be returning.

This is one of those places you might want to visit with a group or family. A friendly and warm welcome, good ambience of a little crowded (Valentine’s). The food was delicious (we had prawns in garlic, beef in pesto and chicken in garlic) although you don’t need to order too many tapas dishes as the portion sizes are generous. We’ll be back again soon I hope.

For a special occasion the attitude of the staff and how much effort they put in to make the event truly enjoyable is especially important. On this score the staff here were absolutely superb! They made all the difference to ensure our special event was hugely enjoyable for all of us. We opted for a lunch booking, which would normally mean the only lunch menu would be available. However, because they wanted to make the occasion the best it could be, they voluntarily decided to have the main "evening" chef available, so that we could enjoy the full evening menu. Nothing was too much trouble, including a few bespoke requests to invoke some Portuguese memories for the group. The resulting ambience was excellent. We opted for a wide range of the tapas, all of which were cooked very well and were enjoyed by everyone in the group. Quantities were perfect. The ingredients were fresh and of good quality. Pricing was fair and good value considering the quality and service. This little, cozy place is a real "find".

Small Portuguese restaurant in kennington. Busy, so book. The wine list is limited, but the recommendations are good. Favourite meal sea food stew to share, served with rice or pasta. Large portion, ample for two. Plenty of tasty fish including lobster. Definitely our favourite.

4 of us... my lovely Portuguese hair stylist told me about this place. I gathered it must be good. Tiny but cozy place. Just our luck that two big groups of 8 and 6 came And my family of 4 got squeezed between the dessert fridge and the side wall and heater. But still very happy because the food is amazing! The much talked about sardines of course. If you are good with fishy stuff and the bones and skins... go for it! My daughter Brit boyfriend finds that too much... The MUST MUST have: Seafood Soupy Rice. A pot generous for 4, warm and flavorful in a terra-cotta pot... huge prawns, plenty of mussels, clams, little shrimps and squids. The broth is Sensational! Finally... about SARA.. cheerfully darting around to care for a house full, single-handedly. Insanely satisfied for a 4 deg rainy night in London. Wanted to keep this place secret but immediately feeling guilty of this selfish thought. ...

I went on a Friday night for a friend's special bday! She told me there is live music and dancing so I was quite excited. Now I should say that maybe the Saturday is better/different with the atmosphere as frankly there were zero vibes here except for what we were creating at our table. The staff are absolutely lovely though, so friendly and the food was pretty good/tasty. I had rump steak with the black beans... dessert was coconut cake - delish! So that's why it was a shame that there was no personality to the place, and the singer came on at 11pmish but he was barely audible, we didn't know he was singing until I went to the toilet. Singer lacked personality, or even a sense of emotion whilst singing songs like Mas Que Nada. Actually a bit of trivia here, I once interviewed the late great Sergio Mendes in Rio, and this guy was so full of energy and party vibes even at nearly 70! Anyway, my point is Portuguese people have such warmth and a zest for life (in my experience), this singer just looked bored. Was he having a bad day? Guess will never know. Perhaps it's worth checking out this place on a Saturday night instead. It might have a better atmosphere and music to enjoy - one of the friends mentioned she once went to Lusitania on a Saturday night and the music was good. The choice is yours. The restaurant is easy to get to whether by tube Nine Elms is closest or bus 196 from Vauxhall stn bus stop G and bus 196, stop M Landsdowne it's about 3 or 4 stops from vauxhall and less than 5 mins walk to the restaurant.

Heard they don’t pay their workers fairly. Witnessed their (very young looking) waiters running about like ants trying to run the restaurant. Food etc was nice, but this just didn’t sit right with me 🙃
