Lovely little spot by the river. Staff were exceptionally friendly and I felt very welcome.Had the ice cream which was divine and will have to go back for the home made cakes as they looked delicious. A good find!

Great food and friendly service. Pistachio ice cream was very tasty, and hot chocolate was nice and rich. The rest of my family also enjoyed their food. Really nice selection baked goods, all very tasty, with a range of dietary requirements catered for. Thabks Harriet!

My siblings and I were struck by lightning last Monday and Harriet found us and took us into her café after she had already closed up. She then gave us copious amounts of tea and delicious cakes while we waited for the many teams of paramedics to arrive, and then kept the café open for several hours longer while they did ECGs etc before taking us to hospital. We went back the following day and I had a delicious dark hot chocolate and pistachio ice cream. We love you, Harriet!

Nice location next to Molesey lock. The coffees are tiny compared to other local coffee shops. The cafes nearby at Bridge Road and Molesey Boat Club are much better value.

I usually use the Khao Sarn restaurant in Walton-on-Thames for takeaway Thai food, but ordered from the Thai Courtyard in East Molesey as Khao Sarn was closed this evening. The food consisted of a spicy beef panang and sticky rice. Or at least that’s what I ordered. There was a layer of oil on top of the beef curry that was literally around 1cm thick. The sticky rice was undercooked to the point that it was crunchy. I called the restaurant to point out the state of the food, at which point the first member of staff told me, ‘I can assure you that the rice was microwaved correctly’. After a brief dialogue where I was basically accused of lying about the state of the food, I offered to send a photograph of the curry to show how bad it was. I duly sent a photograph of how bad the food was, and heard nothing back. I then called the restaurant again, before I was asked to explain why the food was unsatisfactory again to several other members of staff, before finally speaking to a woman who purported to be the manager. The manager was rude and disinterested , making clear that she wasn’t interested in the quality of the food she had served. My advice would be to avoid Thai Courtyard and use Khao Sarn in Walton.

Just on our way home after a lovely evening here. We enjoyed a St Patricks themed tasta menu - 7 dishes. We enjoyed every dish, and the standard and the attention to detail was amazing. The service was very good and the waiters were very attentive. We couldn't fault anything. My mum and dad have been coming for years, but it was our first time 😊 We will definitely be back for the curry night 😋 Thankyou everyone who eas involved. Well done 👏

I've lived in Walton for 25 years and never visited the Persian Kitchen, I've even tried the kebabs from the red rose van opposite the restaurant! Persian Kitchen is a hidden gem. I'd describe the food as homely, tasty and not overly spicy. I didn't try the non-persian dishes such as pizza, calzone and burgers. Order from the person section and you can't go wrong. The portions are good too, you won't leave hungry. Will definitely be back.
