Very fresh quick and efficient delivery

The battered sausages and chips were fine, but unfortunately the Kofta was very dry and burnt on the outside. A huge disappointment for the price.

The fried chicken is very very dry, the chicken burger was only ok, the mozzarella sticks look nothing like what’s in the picture and they are a lot smaller, but the chips are very Good

Wonderful local fish and chips bar with friendly service and option to deliver to door. They have a extended menu that offers much more than the traditional fish and chips and it's all excellent. Definitly a local favorite.

The chicken tikka with rice is lovely(you also get some salad)The rice is lovely & fluffy & the chicken is cooked well. As it's served bowl you can eat it straight out from there so saves on the washing up 🤣 My mate had the chicken fillet burger which she thoroughly enjoyed.

I have been ordering from here from the first day it opened & have always been extremely pleased with the quality of food etc., Yesterday I thought I'd try one of the new dishes that they are now serving so I ordered the Chicken Tikka with rice it was absolutely lovely chicken was good perfect, rice was lovely & fluffy & there was just the right amount of salad & It arrived in a nice round deep takeaway container. Thank you little fish basket for another fab meal

Fish batter was extremely crispy and light. Cod was fresh and cooked well. The chips weren’t greasy, fluffy inside and crispy outside. The curry sauce has a nice little kick to it that compliments the fish and chips. Sausage in batter was cooked well and not soggy or cold. The chicken samosas has a nice filling with actual chicken. Excellent food.

Food were really fresh and tasty specially fish batter was crunchy from fryer to home. Chips was good too.

Best place in Ewell to eat fish and chips. If you are from Mauritius, he also sell Mauritius foods such as chicken Biryani, Chicken curry and rice, Chicken Stir fried noodles. Don't walk but run to Little Ocean Basket.

The worst chicken wings I’ve ever had. Massively over cooked and totally dried out. I’m guessing from last night and re cooked. Appalling. Chips luke warm. Fish was lovely though. Shame. Last order was great.

Love this place. By far doesn't have to be, but is the best fish and chip shop in surrey and beyond. I was brought up on fish and chips as a northerner born and bred. Food cooked in fresh oil which makes all the difference on the texture and taste of all fried foods. The chips are light and not greasy, the cod is not dripping in fat but light, fluffy and has real taste. I had the 10 calamari pieces tonight they were amazing, never had calamari that actually makes you want to go back for more. It actually tasted like calamari not rubber in a crisp. My wife is not a lover of takeaway food and it's rare we have it, but I kept going on to her about this little gem of a place, and she was bowled over by the lovely cod and chips, and the owners home made tartare sauce. wow a winner. The manager is very friendly and approachable and so we're the 2 young ladies on duty this evening. Always looks clean, fresh and tidy upon entering. Will not use any other chip shop full stop. You will not be disappointed, try this place and see, great menu and various dishes.👍👍

Got a takeaway delivery from them, and it was brilliant. Next times I will just ask them for more scrapes (personal preference). The fish was generously sized!

Oh my, I have nothing but good to say about this place. I am particularly fussy when it comes to fish and this place is my top rated place to buy fish and chips, no silver on the underneath of the fish, the batter is not too heavy and the chips are just how they should be from a chip shop. Definitely best fish and chips in the area. 👍👍👍👍

First and last order!!! Over two hours for delivery and then the food wasn't even hot when it arrived. Called restaurant who were unsympathetic. Here's a tip if you see this: when a POLITE customer calls you, and is completely UNDERSTANDING, do yourselves a favour and be nicer to your customers! Least you could have done is say sorry or throw in a free drink. Stop taking orders if you can't fulfil them!! Also, starters are painfully overpriced. 8quid for 6 chewy pieces of calamari and a few shreds of lettuce ... sorry, I mean "salad".. Given an extra star because the kids cod meal was a decent size.

Ordered take away from this restaurant for the first and last time. The delivery of the food was nearly two hours after the stated time. When I spoke to the restaurant on two occasions the staff member answering was very unhelpful and rude, on the 2nd phone call he hung up on me. When the food arrived the chips tasted like they were re-fried, the chicken was cold and dry. Requests were not followed! Absolutely feel like I was fobbed off for ordering a delivery! Very not happy!

Just had the best fish and chip dinner we’ve had for a long time from Little Ocean Basket. Freshly cooked and what a difference from some of the terrible fish and chips we’ve had from a couple of local restaurants recently! . . . I have no hesitation in recommending Little Ocean Basket and they will be our No.1 choice in future.

Actually so disappointed with my order tonight, complete opposite to how delicious and fresh the food was last time i ordered. Battered sausage just soggy and batter was too thick. The fish platter is just a complete rip off.. i would've thought charging £16.50, at least fish cakes would have been homemade and not one of those cheap frozen fish cakes that taste of nothing. I know they are the cheap ones as im a chef.im pretty sure i was also missing like half of the dish like only had 1 fish cake instead of 2 and i think i was missing a few scampi and battered prawns but was hard to tell as they were pretty much the same thing. Calamari was awful like chewing on deep-fried cardboard. To top it all of most of the food was luke warm too.

Had a takeaway for the 4 of us tonight. It was lovely. The cod was skinless and flakey with a light crispy batter, not at all greasy or soggy. Loved it. Thank you. Our new local.

Just got a large portion and 2 standard portion of chips. Upon entering very stunning, clean and greeted with a smile and acknowledgement. Very reasonably priced. Very good quality and chips were lovely. Oh my god they do calamari! Will use again

Chips were nice steak pie was cold inside but who the hell microwaves pastry in all my years of using chip shops yesterday was the first time pie was heated up this way

Absolutely amazing. Really nice restaurant, comfortable tables to eat in (if you want to), very friendly atmosphere AND the food is delicious! So fresh and tasty, easily the best fish and chips around! Chicken is also delicious! Prawns amazing too... I just want to eat everything on the menu! A MUST visit!
