Was expecting more from what I'd heard of the place. Decent enough , nothing special though

Best take away I have ever had!

The food is great but the delivery times are just horrendous… How can it take 2.5 hours for the food to arrive (I ordered ‘as soon as possible’)? I’ve never experienced that anywhere else. Either they’re understaffed or I don’t know… I like to order from there and I’m understanding of the fact that they’re busy during weekends, but it surely shouldn’t take this long…

I ordered and paid for food at 7pm and waited the 1 hour as told on the Website, then I phoned up to enquire what the eta is to be told by a really rude Girl that they hadn't received payment but online banking says it been taken out by Fat Buddah No Food arrived for my Dinner Party, Do Not Use This Takeaway It Will Ruin Your Night 😡😡😡😡 Their is far better Food n Service in Darlington Again Avoid

Barely Warm when arrived. Special fried rice was dry and tasteless....very disappointing. Messaged Fat Buddah direct....bo response.

I ordered crispy pork in chilli garlic sauce and Thai red curry. Receiving 4x burnt dry pieces of pork and a thinned out thai red curry soup was not what I had really expected. I know it’s desperate times but not to the extent of reducing standards to this level!!

Always high quality and great service

The food is always delicious and no complaints about that but the last 3 times we have ordered the order has been late. Tonight I ordered our food at 18:15 with a promised delivery time of 19:15. Our food has literally just arrived at 19.50. Given we've paid for delivery, you would expect at least a discount upon paying cash (not even offered) or a voucher for the next order. My husband has messaged to make a complaint, let's see if they provide good customer service with some kind of goodwill gesture.

Avoid - customer service is terrible, Little Fat Buddha used to be a great takeaway but it’s gone downhill. They falsely claim to be a vegan friendly establishment, however, upon speaking to staff they have no idea what is in their food. Not ideal for vegans, vegetarians or anyone with an allergy

Ordered a take-away yesterday, honey chilli chicken and Singapore Vermicelli, it was Fantastic, still amazing and wonderful to see the chef's cooking gives you a great sense of their professionalism and skill.

Food used to be good but gone downhill. Let's hope I don't get food poisoning as the girl on counter handles cash, scratches her nose messes with her hair and doesn't wash her hands before handling the food. Send in the hygiene inspectors....

Disappointed. Hair found in the honey chicken. Salt & pepper chips are pretty sad. Curry sauce is cheap jelly. Shame.

First time ordering. We ordered by phone as online prices are more expensive - no idea why. Food was ready in 10 mins and was lovely. It's on the pricier side but lovely if you want something a bit special.

Rather disappointed! Ordered a takeaway for collection at 6pm and was told it would be 20 mins. Walked into shop at 6:20pm and paid. It wasn't ready yet so sat and waited. Then at 6:50pm received a text message saying they've run out of fishcakes, would we like something else. Got money back for fishcakes but still didn't receive order until after 7pm. People had entered, ordered and left with their food in that time, despite us calling it in. The food was great, but overall it just isn't good enough.

Was enjoying my tea until what felt like a wing get stuck in my throat, I look down to then find upon further inspection FLIES on my chips, not just on them but embedded, manky if you ask me

Wrong order last week. After having to drive down myself and a awful manager, very rude she was. Got another one tonight due to the free meal. WRONG AGAIN. Absolute joke of a takeaway.

First time we bought of Little Fat Buddha. We will not be buying again. Food wasnt very nice. And paid 3.50 for deep fried onoin rings which came soggy and unedible. Why cant people stop using cheap frozen onion rings they are disgusting.

We have been a customer for many years and always enjoyed the food. We started using the delivery service which has also been good. However the last 3 orders for delivery have been terrible. The 1st order the driver called us to ask where we lived as the address he had didn't exist. 2nd order was well over an hour late and the 3rd was 2hrs in arriving after 2 phone calls.

3 hours !!!! It's out for delivery.....no wait.....its got mixed up with another delivery. SHOCKING !!!!!!

Excellent food tonight. Ordered and paid for online easily. Collected still hot when we got home. Fantastic menu with plenty to choose from and not expensive. Highly recommended 5*

I enjoyed my thai green curry, GF wasnt a huge fan of her Pad Thai. The lockdown service was good (collection).

Giving One star is far too much in my mind. Having Paid extra for delivery service, only to find order to be wrong. Had to go over and get items changed. Got back home only to find that they had done the order wrong again. Online prices excessive to say the least. Ordered a Maylasian Asian greens curry and paid £7.30 for it comprised off overcooked broccoli, carrots, onions and water chestnuts. Complete rip-off when they don’t even include rices with it. Ordered at 5.30pm and all this took 2 hours. Never ordering from them again. Would not recommend. Money grabbers.

Best Chinese I have possibly ever had. Shame they don't deliver to my post code but well worth the journey. Food is out of this world.

Over one hour 50mins still sat waiting phoned up and cancelled very uphelpfull person on phone telling me i can not cancel will never order again why they keep taking orders they can not fill . A bit of advice tell customer its gonna be over 2 hrs

No idea what the food is like....placed an online order at 4.35pm delivery is timed at 60 min so i waited expectantly....and waited.....and waited....and waited...at 7.25 (some 2 hours and 50 minutes) later my wife finally got in the car and went to see if it was a delivery issue...no the food just wasnt ready. If it had been we would have just collected it and hang the delivery charge... However it wasnt even ready for the delivery guy to take ...they were just putting it up....whatever that means...so i guess it would have been at least another half an hour. Gave up waiting....asked for a refund and had beans on toast instead. Dont let this place ruin you Saturday night...

Ordered food online and got confirmation email at 5.11pm, ordered food for 6.15pm, but we are sat here at 7.53pm with no food. After numerous phone calls which we have proof of, in which we were told it would be with us in the next twenty minutes, we have had to ask for a refund after having to chase order yet again. We live not even 10 minutes from the takeaway. Lie after lie, if you are having issues then be honest with your customers, it might go a long way. Little buddha has always been a favourite of ours but not any longer and hopefully anyone thinking of ordering will think twice.

Good food expect a mix between brilliant food and chinese gloop.

Service was slow ordered at 8 told to come for half past and didn’t get it till 8.45 only take cash payment, food was ok but nothing special has gone downhill since it first opened

Poor service and somehow do not accept card payments during a pandemic. Ridiculous

Isn't even worth 1 star. Expect your delivery at least 2 hour late. And don't bother trying to get through on the phone because they don't pick up.

First time and last time ever from here. Food was so bad, it went into the bin. The bigger of the 2 male cooks while skinning cucumbers was eating the middle bit, putting his fingers to his lips, and then he continued to touch the food 🤢

We normally order the honey chilli chicken because it is so nice, but have just ordered and it is like eating friend chicken in jelly. Have you changed the recipe because normally it is delicious but this not particularly appealing.

Absolutely appalling service. After trying to get through on the phone for over 30 minutes I arrived at the store to be told that it's telephone orders only, so I explained that I have tried calling 100 times and the phone is off the ringer, she shrugged and said she's answering the phone. I stood outside and continued to ring the store for it to be constantly engaged but not actually ringing Instore, whilst I'm doing this the girl then took a payment order right in front of me! from someone else who had had the same difficulties as myself. Shocking!! First time and last I will ever be back

A shadow of its former self. Terrible food. Tasteless rubbery beef, watery noodles and over cooked chicken seasoned with bucket loads of salt. Nothing like the Fat Buddha resteraunt in Durham. Avoid.

Food cold again very disappointing

Ordered for the first time will be the last. Ordered a chicken curry and beef noodles £19.20!! Prices on website are apparently wrong, as they have gone up and £3 delivery charge!! Food ok (lukewarm) definitely not worth the price!!

Couldn't believe how little food I got for the price I paid! £9.20 for one small plastic box of mainly rice. Won't use them again.

Had the egg fried rice. Took a bite and had to throw it in the trash. It had the exact texture of a microwaved iceland meal. It was extremely salty with little to no egg inside. Big disappointment, I don't know what I was expecting.

Never had a bad meal from Little Fat Buddha! I must say the restaurant in Durham is better but this is still a top notch take away! Recommend the Crispy Chicken Peking style or Honey Chilli Chicken. It is a bit on the pricey side but it is what it is. Enjoy!

The worst food I've ever experienced from a takeaway or restaurant. Strangely, despite the fact it was glistening with oil, it didn't look or taste fried.g We ordered Chicked Fried Rice, 1/4 Crispy Duck & Pancakes, Egg Fu Yung & Prawn Crackers. Summary: Honestly I've never seen, or tasted anything so disgusting, and I've been to some pretty nasty places over the years. Do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. The chicken fried rice was like a wet, white jelly with grey blobs of chicken thrown in; it tasted like the oil had been used many, many times already. I suspect the chicken and rice had been cooked in a microwave, probably the night before. It looked like the pre-cooked rice / chicken were simply thrown into a frying pan to give the illusion of a freshly fried meal. In this case the pan hadn't been hot enough, so the oil had soaked in leaving a greasy looking, foul tasting mess. 1/4 Crispy Duck: there were only about 20g of duck meat (maybe two table spoons full). If that was a genuine 'quarter of a duck', it must have been tiny! The meat was dry and crunchy ,so you could say, technically anyway, that it was 'crispy duck' but really, it was more like crispy / chewy / crunchy in places duck. Plum sauce came from a jar. It was ok. Pancakes came from a packet and were ok. Cucumber was wilted and soggy. Spring onion was dry and looked dead. Egg Fu Yung was an anemic mess. It had boiled rice, boiled egg white, boiled bean sprouts, boiled everything. It looked awful and tasted like wet paper. It too had a 1/4 pint oil tipped on it, making it look fried. Again the individual parts had all been boiled, then mixed together to fry in a pan that was too cold. I have heard good reviews of Fat Buddha over the years, but my personal experience was anythjng but good. I can't think of anything complimentary to say about the food or the service. While waiting to be served I heard another customer saying how, 'last the whole order was all wrong', so it's not just the food thats bad eother. The fact that they only take cash makes me wonder... Most decent places taken card or cash. Cash just isn't convenient for most people anymore. I certainly won't be using Fat Buddah again. All the food I bought went straight in the bin. Even now, 6 houts later, I still feel very ill indeed.

DISGUSTING. The food looked amaemic and unappertising and tasted even worse. It's expensive too, you can get better quality takeaway food for half the price in the area. It was my 1st visit and will be my last. I thought it would be better than your average takeaway but don't be fooled. I'd rather eat nothing and go hungry then ever eat anything from there again. This was the worst takeaway meal I've ever had it all went in the bin. My daughter asked my to save her some. I sent a picture of the food and she told me it looked disgusting too and not to bother leaving any for her. She could have had an entire meal for 3!

Always tasty and they deliver. Never had a bad meal. Portion sizes smaller than most Chineses in area but Little Fat Buddha are the most tasty! 10/10! I wouldn't trust anywhere else

Great Chinese takeaway. Food is good quality and quickly served, you can see straight into the kitchen area and watch your food getting cooked. More expensive than other places but the food is good. Very efficient staff. The waiting area is really cold as the automatic door keeps opening when people pop into the Co-op next door.

Really good takeaway food. I called on a busy Friday evening without phoning the order in beforehand and the waiting time was surprisingly quick.

Excellent service, as a request by my Brother-in-law who is celebrating his 70th Birthday, sadly suffering from terminal cancer. We have just had a 10 mixed dish dinner. Really tasty. Many thanks from family members.

Having eaten from this takeaway many times, and always been impressed with the food, I was shocked to read about the hygiene issues in the Northern Echo, some weeks ago. Sadly, neither myself, or any member of my family, will take a chance in future. It's such a shame, but once the trust has gone...

Horrendous customer service. Spent time deciding what we would like to order before we phoned. When we called an abrupt person then answered and refused to deliver as we live at a hotel. I have heard this place is famous for its poor customer service but and now I definitely believe it.

Food is very nice. One of the best Orientals in Darlington. Shame the customer service is so poor. Lets the whole rating drop. Times when they won't answer phone. Ie calling several times around 8:30pm (easily during opening hours) & also then making an order & receiving the wrong order. Both instances have happened multiple times. Will still use them for the food quality (if you manage to get it), just hope the people who run the phones/cust serv will improve, drastically!!!

Heard so much positivity about this take away, tried it and we were left disappointed!!! Had better for similar prices at other eateries in Darlington. We won't be going there again nor would I recommend this to anyone if your after decent food!!!
