Well,well,well...What a gem of place..Read the reviews, popped in on our way to Woburn..Superb value for money,with more importantly good quality produce..Perfect sausages (Butchers sausages clearly),Bacon cooked to perfection,the egg yolk a glorious colour,Hash browns,like I've never tasted to be honest..Seriously a hash brown of all things!!..We upgraded to include Black pudding ,had 3 of the largest black pudding slices ever!!..Oh and baked beans,spot on,no runny slop..So all in all a delight..Included in the price £9.50 is a mug of tea or Americana coffee..I've actually swam in swimming pools smaller than those mugs!!!..Front of house lady was charming even on a vert busy Saturday morning..As you can tell it was a delightful breakfast..Keep up the good work,and thankyou...

Very cold sat in there. Be nice in summer sat outside when warm and sunny. Food OK.

Simple decor, reasonably clean with plenty of seating. Excellent selection of drinks including a limited choice of alcoholic ones. Lots of home made cakes and treats available alongside more substantial breakfasts, lunches and snacks. We were here for breakfast and had: two small breakfasts, one vegetarian breakfast and a bacon sandwich on brown. They all arrived at the same time and everything was hot and cooked nicely. Although two of the breakfasts were 'small' they certainly included everything you could want; sausage, bacon, hash brown, beans, egg, mushrooms, tomatoes and toast. The bacon in the sandwich was perfect, brown enough to have taste, but not over-cooked or crunchy. All of our meals came with tea and it was served in decent sized mugs, steaming hot and brewed properly. The people running the cafe were pleasant, friendly and chatty. The prices were very good for the quality of food and service we received. Excellent all round and we will definitely return.

I like this cafe, it's very cyclist friendly. Is handily located in a village between Bedford and St. Neots. The staff were friendly and helpful. They had anti coronavirus measures in place. My coffee was good. Although the cakes I had we're good too, the selection was rather limited on the day I visited. The prices were reasonable. Overall I think I'll be very happy to return. September 2022 - my comments above are still valid. August 2023 - comment still valid. December 2023 - had a lovely fresh scone.

Lovely fresh food, made to order. Super homemade scone, butter and jam. Generous portion, very reasonably priced.

A lovely little cafe behind the old pub. Stopped off here on a cycle ride today. First visit. Lovely breakfast served with a smile. Sat outside. It was peaceful, which was perfect for us. Definitely recommend.

Always love it when we get a bouncy castle booking near Roxton, we always pop in for breakfast. Delicious, generous and piping hot! Based on the jam all over our daughters face, that is particularly scrummy - she finished off what was left with a spoon!

Lovely little cafe, with a home-cooked food vibe. We also had some beers from the local brewery, which was nice. Can't fault the service.

Went out of there way to accommodate us on our wedding day and rehearsal. Look after our little girl with food allergies. The homemade cakes are tasty.

Really pleasantly surprised with this one. Great English breakfast served all day and decent coffee. Outside dining if warm enough and large inside dining area. Parking immediately behind cafe. No smashing of avocado or salmon, but wide enough menu for most to find something they like. Friendly staff. Credit card payments taken.

Unique position in the centre of a picturesque village called Roxton conveniently attached to the only pub The Royal Oak. Parking spaces abound - ramp access and popular with the locals walkers and cyclists! The cakes are delicious and Kevin the cheeky chef provides freshly cooked food. Definitely a place worth a visit😉

Worth the visit to enjoy the best in cakes and cooking! If your travelling north or south on the A1 or east to west on the A421 pop in as its only 5 minutes from the Black Cat roundabout! Plus the owners Kevin and Anne make you feel very welcome. Kevin has enough intersting facts about life and cooking to last while you enjoy the food he has cooked for you. The portions are massive and its all fresh so be prepared to wait while it is prepared. Remember to have a walk around this beautiful village in Bedfordshire.

Little Acorn rose from the ashes of Spoke-N-Wheel. It had a lot to live up to and it has succeeded in some areas. Coffee and cakes are very good. The hosts are friendly and inviting. The prices are reasonable. Chips come to the table perfectly fried and piping hot. Some of the food needs improvement. I ordered a chicken salad. A whole breast of chicken was generous but unfortunately it was great overcooked and dry. Others in our party were similarly underwhelmed. I think it is a case of almost but not quite. It would be lovely to see them improve and succeed.

Lovely Sunday roast beef lunch & apple crumble.

What a friendly hospital couple running this lovely cafe. Really enjoyed lunch which was tweaked to my request. Advocado , poached eggs cooked to perfection. Guiness cake was delicious. Will be returning for sure.

What a hidden gem! Lovely, friendly owners serving quality home made food. The Cajun chicken burger was a whole chicken breast covered in tasty Cajun spices (so moist and tender) with salad and tasty red onion home made relish. Great chips too! Lots of home made cakes to choose from. All safety measures are in place for COVID-19 and there is a lovely patio area and ample parking. Highly recommended : )

Friendly, clean and airy. Fabulous chips! A generous portion of meaty lasagne filled up my man, while I had a delicious vegan sandwich, salad and chips. Yum.
