To the man who I assume owns the Golf tavern in Bruntisland. He has traumatised my 6 year old disabled daughter while she was using the toilet in the premises. He aggressively banged on the door to the toilet she was using at the time while trying to enter and shouting at us to leave. My daughter was extremely upset and very scared of this man. After we came out of the toilet he continued to shouting at us both while my daughter was crying her eyes out terrified. I understand he has a rule that the toilet is for customers use only which I completely respect and I 100% would have asked permission to use his facilities if there was a member of staff present when I entered the building unfortunately my disabled daughter was desperate for the bathroom and I honestly didn’t think it would have caused this much of an issue. I would have never entered the premises if it wasn’t for the disabled toilet across the road being out of order. I just wanted to make people aware of the awful experience my daughter has been through and to let everyone know how awful this human being is treated and disabled child this way. He should be utterly ashamed of himself.

Very standoffish staff, especially the elderly gentleman, almost barks at you, not welcoming at all, will not return to this establishment anytime soon, manners cost nothing!

Just been to this chipshop .It was the worst fish and chips we have ever had the fish was cut in half it was soft and soggy the chips were soft and cold definitely won't recommend it .It's a pity Romano's in the high st is not opened in the afternoon as it is defo 5 star not 1 star like this place

Half a fish for £7 ! No chance! Sausage batter was minging and full of grease. Overpriced and cheap sausages Curry sauce was bogging And if my boss spoke to me like the old guy did to the young lass today I would have told him to poke his job too! Horrible man! AVOID

Went on Saturday night and won’t be back as first went in and was a strong sour smell. Anyway there was 2 young lassies and another older one doing the frying. Attitude of the 3 of them was shocking. Order 2 large fish suppers and while waiting the Young lassie was taking stuff out the fryer and dropped food on the floor and instead of binning it they put it on the rack to be severed. Put me right off my food when I got my order so the lot got binned. Also cost for what you got was shocking.

Seriously guy’s…..Went in today with our little one .Served by lovely staff in boiling heat. Piping hot chips that we all enjoyed in the small park.(Too hot for chips??Never!) The shows were on but quiet.Lovely folks working there today The area was clean and tidy. The beach was gorgeous…could have been anywhere in the world. 30 p for toilet’s that were clean.Lovely day .

Nice hot bowl of chips, gold star pickled egg and a cup of tea. The young man serving was very polite and friendly. I'll definitely be back. The place looked spotlessly clean too.

Family outing went here for lunch. Absolutely appauling service and staff, the food was dull and soggy, Member of staff at counter had appaling attitude and kept wiping her snot onto her hand then proceeding to wrap peoples food..!! disgusting..!! Not to mention the old male worker (seemed to be the boss) spoke to his staff member like utter garbage... the poor teenagers wouldn't be surprised if they were forced to work here as punishment... more of a torture chamber than a chippy. won't be back and don't recommend you visit...

Staff where extremely rude, one of the younger members of staff told my husband to “F**k off” under her breath. Food was extremely underwhelming, chips weren’t cooked properly and fish batter was soggy. Will not be back.

It's a shame that the older woman is so obnoxious, nor the first time we have experienced this either. Fish was cut in half and battered to look like two pieces. Chips not particularly hot. Will never be back due to the attitude alone.

Had a nice meal with family tonight. Food was cooked well and chips were neither hard or mushy. I would recommend to anyone. Staff were great. The place was full with some repeat visitors. ( I like to chat)

Used To Visit Often , But The Last Two Visits Were Really Bad . This Once Great Chippy Is Sadly No More Shame But I Wont Visit Again .

Myself and my lass had rare day off work that coincided. Went to Burntisland for some chips so we could sit by the sea and blah blah. So go in to this premises, 3 staff on duty, ordered 2 bags of chips and couple bottles of juice. (£4 per bag of chips btw! £11 in total) Got our order in less time than should have really taken, however a day off with your girl no worries right? Get to the beach view open the chips the vinegar smell and brown sauce making my mooth water. Chips soggy, some were more pale than others and many were hard in the centre and NONE were at all crispy! Felt like going in to place and demanding refund but we were happy to have day off and nothing was gonna spoil our day that however doesn’t stop me from posting the experience here. Honestly folks if a chippy with 3 staff on and no aye canny cook chips well then I would say nah! Please use my experience to aid you making your mind up (if the £8 for two bags of chips hadn’t already!!) Best regards folks

Just a lovely fish tea .fish was really nice large portion , girls working their socks off on a very hot day

Came down for the day and the service was excellent very fast in coming with the food and it was cooked and served hot big servings would definitely come back and recommend anyone to come here if down this way

First visit here and while it was annoying waiting in a queue that seemed to take forever to go down the food was nice. My only moans were the small chips portions were tiny and half of the chips were stuck fast to the paper....

Bit of a wait however freshly cooked fish suppers all be it two small bits of fish in each one piece cut in half! Tasty and fresh and entertaining bickers between father & son serving 😂

Used to be good. The fish and chips we got yesterday was in a word "dreadful". The batter on the fish wasn't cooked properly it was sloppy and gooey inside and the chips were nothing other than a pile of grease in a bag. So...

Staff are excellent, friendly (even on a crazy busy roasting hot day) and amazing memories for an order! Queue was long but moved quickly. Food is great every time we go especially the spicy haggis.

This chippie is just for profit £7.50 for a fish supper which was 1 fish fillet cut to make 2 pieces of fish Sorry but will not be back

Used to be a good wee chippy. Now I suspect it's all pure profit for this guy. Have to agree with all the negatives about this shop. Take my advice and avoid, there are much better eateries in Burntisland!! Fish tiny, greasy and tasteless!!!

Two fish on each supper for £7.20. Fresh cooked to order. Light batter and huge portion of chips. Great tasting, fresh hit the spot on a chilly day sitting on a bench by the park.

A nice sized portion of fish and chips, amazing mushy peas and a great pot of tea. The draft beer not the best pint, but great food for a great price.

Popped in for some chips & was pleasantly surprised as were cooked fresh while I waited so no soggy chips here. They were very nice & not greasy. Staff were lovely & friendly. Get your chippy fix in here

Bought 2 single fish...was 1 fish cut in to 2 bits then battered....well a know we all been poorer with lockdown but seriously ripping off customers is unacceptable...

Rude staff, food pale limp and greasy, lumpy and watery curry sauce, but worst of all....seagulls said no thanks to this inedible slop. Give this place a wide berth.

The fish and chips ok. We had 2 large fish Suppers. My comment would be not a lot of chips had better
