Ling Tung in Birmingham

Ordered a dry special chowmein when it came it was just chicken I called them and they said because I asked for it dry no gravy I just get chicken with noodles no prawns pork etc wont be using again as never heard so much bull in my life

Do not order food from here! The food tastes disgusting the worst Chinese I have ever attempted to eat. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Call them to ask them why all the food tasted the same and have a chemical taste and smell and no answer given other than the fact he will come and collect the food that was already plated up. Poor.

I've been using this takeaway for 40 years. Always perfect 🥰 on time lovely and fresh . Tasty menu.x

Do not order food from here please ! I found hair in my food and I ordered Cantonese sweet and sour !!! They gave me shredded chicken was so plain Nothing was up to standards wastes 40 pounds for what?! The man was very rude never even told me they don’t accept card an I had to travel to the cash point I really wish I went to my usual Chinese !! I felt sick after eating my food My belly was rumbling and everyone felt the same as me !!! It’s so bad and I really don’t wanna speak to the man as he so rude !!! And cheeky! Chips were so plain and fry I had so many complaints from my family as we never ever get take away and thought we would try something new I wish I never ordered from here

WOW,WOW,WOW 1st time using this place. Absolutely fantastic, the best curry ive eaten in years. Outstanding Chicken curry. Chicken chow main even the mrs was quiet for a change very enjoyable 1000% recommend and will definitely be be using again.

First few times loved the food the spicy salt and pepper chips were so nice!! Past few times it didn't even taste "spicy" although we ordered spicy? Literally tasted plain. Not worth going here anymore, if you can't even stay consistent with chips?? Not happy!

Salt and Pepper chips are nice and spicy. Requested the staff to make it spicy and it was delicious, wife loves it. Will be ordering again!

Black bean chowmein ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Salt and pepper chicken ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Currys ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Prawn toast ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Kung po king prawns ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chicken balls ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chickenwings ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chips ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ actually contain potatoe just Prawn crackers ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Gutted you don't serve Crab claws as I no they would defo be 5 stars too 😋😋😋😋😋

Used to love the place was always my favourite Chinese takeaway but unfortunately the past 2 times I’ve been the food isn’t has good. Shame to see such a good place go down hill. Will not be going anymore.

Food was flavourful. A cash only place, but love the idea of being rewarded with a free meal after your stamp book is filled from previous purchases.

WORST CHINESE EVER can't get a simple order right had the wrong order 3 times they will miss things off your order and when you ring up they offer it next time but then don't give it you, wouldn't send driver back for wrong order it's alway "me no know how long driver will be" wait over an hour for the wrong stuff and then have to take it back in person, can't understand common English the only thing chinese is the people

Literally such a yummy Chinese with a chicken halal option only negative and it’s a big one is they only take cash! There isn’t even an option to pay on card online as they aren’t on just eat, foodhub or any other card paying sites 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Please sort it out ling tung

Acabo de pedir un chow mein de hongos de Ling Tun para llevar, Stechford el 7/5/20. . . especificado antes de confirmar el pedido que no como carne. . solo para encontrar un trozo de pollo en el recipiente. Los llamé para quejarse de la contaminación cruzada de los alimentos y me dijeron que entregarían un chow mein de hongos frescos. . . ¡No, gracias! Mujer en el teléfono se disculpó pero no pareció entender el principio del asunto. Peor aún, como dice el menú para que las personas señalen cualquier alergia. etc También un amigo que les ordenó la semana pasada quería carne Halal. . pero no se les dijo que tenían que especificar al hacer el pedido que querían solo comida Halal, aunque hay un letrero en la ventana de comida para llevar que indica que sirven carne Halal

We have used this takeaway for a number of years, but will not be using it anymore. Customer service is appalling! I called them to say the chips with our order were green / black and undercooked. Could not eat them with the rest of order, response was what do you want us to do ? Give you credit for chips next time !?!?! NO replace order so we can eat food we ordered all together. This isn't the first time it's happened but will definitely be the last !

Durante 35 años, mi familia y yo hemos usado esta comida para llevar. Pero ya no más. Hace un tiempo arruinaron mi pedido de comida y no me lo entregaron. Dije que no había problema y que podrían pagarme la próxima vez que entrara. Hoy vamos a tener el arranque en el otro pie. Estaba corto por 2. 30. No aceptan tarjetas y me exigieron que cruzara una calle extremadamente transitada para usar un cajero automático. No podía creerlo. Pensé que eramos amigos. Ya no. El mal servicio al cliente cuesta dinero. Qué lástima. Fin de una era de hecho.

I have used Ling Tung for over 35 years. But that relationship has unfortunately come to an end. I thought I was a good customer but I was treated like a second class citizen today. I won't be coming here any more

Just one of the best Chinese meals severed in the Midlands. I used them when I lived in Stechford in the 80s and 90s and things have not changed as the meal is so so beautiful. Thanks to all the staff that work their.

We eat from often , food is normally very nice . But this evening I was very disappointed in quality and taste off the food , rice was very dry and reheated chips was full off grease and also reheated. 😕

This is a great place to order a takeaway from. The food is always hot and you get plenty of food for your money. Service is quick and the staff are always polite. I've never had an issue with this place and I've been going there for years.

This is the place that I tasted my first ever Chinese meal back in the mid 70's when I was a school kid . My brother whom was at university brought home a few meals . I've been hooked ever since . Run by the same family & with a regular clients their standards are high & is cleanliness . The menu is varied & value for money . Always served with courtesy & respect by the owner , his wife or there family . There are also on some days "specials" at a set price . Only wish the did crispy duck . For a few years I moved from Birmingham to Cradley Heath but when in the area would head for Ling Tung . I'm now back in Birmingham ( over 20yrs now ) Live just up the road so my 1st choice . Now been going there over 40yrs now .When my brother is in the area to see us he usually pops in too . Thank you Ling Tung for your years of A1 service..... you to be given an award from her majesty the Queen

My family just love this takeaway, traditional food that is cooked well and the owners are a lovely group of people. We have never had a bad meal from here and there is always something new to try and it never disappoints. Give it a go if your in brum as it is Chinese food at its best.

Been here many times over the years and never been disappointed. The food is always prepared to a high standard and the prices are very good to. Even the kids find the food good to. It's always busy as well but you get served fast.

Ordered chicken & chips and chicken curry which were quite nice, however the chicken chowmein was not very nice at all, the chicken was tough and the noodles were all broken up and stuck together and the sauce was tasteless.. very disappointed after reading the good reviews for the place. Might have just been a blip but I'm not going to risk ordering from there again.

Didn't find food nice, chicken balls felt soggy. Also fortune cookie was hard as a rock think I broke a tooth HA

Takeaways are everywhere but this little gem is a fantastic family ran business. I can hand on heart say that it is the best takeaway around the Birmingham area & the food never fails to impress. I would love this place to be turned into a restaurant as I could sit down in their surroundings and eat some homemade cantonese food. Give these guys a try you will be back for more & more & more.

Friendly staff, Excellent food, Great prices and Quick delivery.

We ordered a meal from this takeaway last night. The rice was dried up, the beef curry was greasy, the chicken in the chicken curry was dry and rubbery the mushrooms were also greasy and the chips were missing from the order but charged for. Delivery was prompt but wish we hadn't bothered. Won't be going back!

Great food, prices and service all the time!

This place caters for the halal eating market at request. Their chow mein is a regular order in our home however would prefer chicken in smaller pieces and bigger portions. Kind friendly staff :)
