Myself and my husband have been going to Tunwalls for lunch, breakfast and evening meals (mainly before Wolves football matches) for quite some time. In our opinion it is the best cafe in Wolverhampton by a long way - the staff are excellent (it’s family run) the food is always freshly cooked and delicious and the price is extremely reasonable. We wouldn’t eat anywhere else and would highly recommend it - one little tip if you want to eat there and the Wolves are playing at home make sure you book it’s a very popular place.

Old, old building, and inside it's 1955. You could spend an hour just looking at the walls, or half an hour listening to a heavily-accented local explaining to his friend all the things what are wrong wi' t'world and how 'e'd fix 'em if 'e 'ad 'is way. But I was here for bubble & squeak, healthy eating be damned. It was not the real deal, having no cabbage, but somehow the substitution of frozen peas & carrots seemed exactly right. It were a great bowl of stodge, and it were bloody delicious. My companions had somewhat more modern choices and pronounced them excellent. As we left, we admired a painting on the wall, showing the building just as it is now, except that is was 18-something and the road was full of horses.

Wandered around Wolves and found this little place, so popped in to give it a go. What a good idea. Bubble and Squeak with an egg on top, my wife had a BLT, both well presented, good size portions, not greasy. In short, excellent value for money.

A wonderful little find! An olde worlde caffee shop with an extensive menu, very reasonable prices and beautifully cooked food. Be warned though, the portions are very large. You might need to share with a friend!

Tried this great spot in Wolverhampton town centre for the first time today and will be back for sure. Had a perfect lunch - halloumi and roasted pepper toasted sandwich (which came with salad and chips) along with a cup of proper tea. Lots of veggie options on the menu. My other half had a chicken club sandwich also with chips and salad plus a flat white coffee. Really good freshly prepared food and at reasonable prices - lunch and drinks for two at under £18! Excellent friendly service too and all in a wonderful old building. Local people really need to be supporting good businesses like this in the town - ignore all the road works and get along there - well worth it!

We have had three gorgeous meals here in the last few months. Always huge portions for small prices in expensive times! Food is always piping hot and the family who own it are so lovely! We only hope that when the work finishes on Victoria street that this place goes from strength to strength because they so deserve it. A complete hidden gem which needs more recognition. Just home from the most delicious three course Christmas dinner which was faultless from start to finish. Looking forward to visiting again in the new year ❤️ Jo and Ben.

I’m always hesitant to use the word “charming” when it comes to smaller, family-run places. This, as it happens, thoroughly deserves the tag. Making the most of a rare Monday afternoon off work, I was recommend here by family and duly tagged along whilst on a shopping trip. I’d gladly extend the recommendation. A solid variety of breakfast and lunch options, all of which are far more liberal with portions than their excellent value would lead you time believe. I’ll add this to my usual rotation of stops in W’hampton, almost certainly. It’s five stars if they hadn’t run out of cheesecake by the time I rocked up.

Visited today, had cheese toast one and a tuna sarnie. The bread was fantastic. Great amount of fillings all fresh made. Had a flat white, not over strong coffee but very nice. The cafe/restaurant is over two floors and has all the history kept inside. Great place very friendly staff too

Scoring marked: 1-10 (1=poor, 5 = Standard Excpectations, 10 = Exceeded Expectations) GENERAL SERVICE: 7 CLEANINESS: 7 ATMOSHPHERE: 6 PRICING: 10 ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: 10 FOOD DELIVERY: 7 TASTE: 6 PRESENTATION: 8 OVERVIEW: We decided to visit Tunwalls in Wolverhampton and our visit certainly exceeded expectations. Lacking in a couple of areas but over all our experience was rather pleasant. The service at the tunwalls was standard. We were greeted almost instantly and was then shown the menu. After making our decisions we waited for 5 minutes to be served which was perfect given that they were slightly busy at that time. We ordered 2 pepsi's, 1 flat white and 2 lunches. The Pepsi was served in the can and with the current situation with COVID-19, we feel serving them in glasses may be safer for customers. After placing our order the food arrived just under 10 minutes. Presentation was great so we scored it an 8 as although it looked appealing, it was basic in terms of presentation. The burger we ordered was really nice but the chips tasted frozen rather than fresh. Food could do with a bit of seasoning to give it that extra kick in flavour but other than that, it was pleasantly tasty. The overall atmosphere of the place was a bit disappointing. A lot of background noise between other customers and back of house staff made it less enjoyable. Ambient music would have been nice as that helps create a certain vibe / tone and would make the experience 10 times better Would we recommend? Absolutely. A pleasant experience and the woman that looked like to be the owner/manager clearly cares and has a lot of passion for the place and the industry. Would we come back? Almost definitely.

Lindy Lou's Cafe is a really cool cafe my twin brother Stephen and I visited on a recent trip to Wolverhampton. Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here ,a cosy interior, nice decor and furnishings including plenty of seating options spread throughout this cafe but the most memorial feature of this cafe is the historic timbered building that houses the cafe, its just so cool,it must be one of the city's oldest buildings. We were here on a Saturday afternoon greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of the staff ,we gave our details of name and phone number to assist with the governments track and trace system and then sanitised our hands and ordered a flat white coffee each ,these were served steaming hot ♨️ we just kicked back and took in the great cafe we were in My coffee ☕ was super 👌, from the first sip till the last sup you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve , it was so good enjoying a quality brew in such an historic building. We really enjoyed our coffee's in here, had a great time before we moved on and for a first time visit to here we were totally impressed Lindy Lou's Cafe is easy to locate along Victoria Street, just look for the evocative old timbered building. Most definitely well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Took the Mrs there for a quick coffee and a breakfast for myself. Coffee was delicious really took us by suprise. I had the Scottish breakfast as my other half is half Scottish herself and I can't imagine having a nicer breakfast in Scotland (I'll comment when I've actually visited). But really was a delicious breakfast. With lovely staff and a lovely setting. Will happily go back and recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful building, friendly and helpful staff who were happy to be a bit flexible with my breakfast. Covid precautions followed properly, bathroom was clean, and of equal importance to all of this, the food was excellent, fresh, hot, good quality ingredients, generous portions and excellent value for money. My only comment is that it would be nice to have a bigger builders mug of tea, but there was no quibble when I asked for a water refill. Will definitely return when next in Wolverhampton.

Dropped in for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. Picked a lovely table in a small room adjoining the main room. Greeted as we walked in by a very friendly girl who brought food and drink menus over. Gave us time to look through and easily caught our eye when we were ready to order. My husband had a traditional cooked breakfast with a cup of tea (milk came in a lovely little ‘milk bottle’) and I had a luxury hot chocolate and toasted tea cake - both breakfasts were great. Condiments on the table. Lovely atmosphere - no rush. Would definitely return.

Fantastic little cafe in one of Wolverhampton's oldest buildings. Brilliant range of food and drinks on offer - I opted for the Scottish breakfast which was incredible. Lindy Lou’s offers all day breakfast, daily specials, and a variety of sandwiches and light lunch options. We had bacon/brie/cranberry sandwich on bloomer bread, which came with chips and salad and a bagel, egg, cheese, bacon sandwich. The bagel sandwich was accompanied with toast which seemed a little odd. The food was well presented, quite good, and excellent value. My brother and his wife went for breakfast on two occasions and also had very positive experiences. It does do a good business at lunchtime as two parties had to be turned away for lack of available seating. The restaurant has table service. We definitely will return on our next visit to Wolverhampton town center.

Was really surprised to find such a friendly, well presented and excellent quality light lunch in Wolverhampton. The owner was very nice and I came in twice, once for a brief drink but had to come in to see what the food was like.I wasn't disappointed. The bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich was excellent, easily one of the best I've had. The chips were excellent, crispy and fluffy exactly right. Salad was good.Good selection of cans for drink (that are actually a reasonable price considering!) and of course tea, etc.Light lunch for to came to a very reasonable price and when I'm in Wolverhampton I will be revisiting.Check it out. Top place for me.

Met hubby here for lunch few weeks ago and was pleasantly surprised. Sorry to say that but most places in wolverhampton do drop well below decent eateries standards - but this place bucks the usual trend in this 'city' - a nice cuppa, well cooked and presented food and tasty. Fair pricing as well. Staff very pleasant and the place is clean and welcoming - will be popping in again even if it's just for a quick cuppa - would say best little cafe in wolverhampton by far!

I came across this place by chance, walking back into town from Bantock House. I went in to look inside as it was a very old building, and I wanted to check it out. I had a lovely welcome and decided to stay for lunch. Their fish and chips is highly recommended. Tasty, very hot and good sized portion. Very reasonably priced too, I think 2 mains and 2 cold drinks came to less than £12.

Myself and my Mom visited here midweek on a lunchtime to have some lunch while in Wolverhampton shopping. I was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean and cosy. The service was excellent and the food piping hot and tasty. Reccommend the 3 egg omlette, best I've had and the tea cake was lovely. Very reasonable prices and a lovely atmosphere, rather than the bustle of a costa or similar. Its now my go-to cafe in Wolverhampton. when I visit

I've been in here a few times for a full English breakfast, good quality bacon and sausage and eggs etc, nice service from friendly helpful staff, food was of a good standard and served piping hot to your table fairly quick, drinks fine also, decent tea and coffee etc, all in all a good little place in the heart of Wolverhampton city, they do daily specials for around four or five quid and even Sunday lunch, I would recommend Lindy Lou's, give it a try.
