The Lime Tree Hotel is perfectly situated in Belgravia, offering quick access to vibrant nearby neighborhoods such as Chelsea and Westminster. Having stayed here several times, I appreciate the cosy, comfortable rooms that are generally clean, though some are quite small—ideal for solo travelers in a cosy double. Bathrooms are always spotless but compact. Reception staff are friendly, but the consistency of service can vary. The hotel lacks a lift, so be prepared for stairs if your room is above the first floor. Rooms don’t have air conditioning or fridges, which can be inconvenient, especially in summer. The on-site Buttery restaurant is a highlight, serving great breakfast and lunch with welcoming, attentive staff, making it a convenient dining option. Overall, the Lime Tree Hotel offers a charming stay with a few minor compromises.

Excellent stay at the Limetree Hotel! Very kind workers and quant hotel! Can be on the pricey side, especially with no idea if there’s a window in your room but staff was kind enough to have upgraded my room with a window, which was something I really appreciated. Only negative I had (which is minor) was that when I arrived one time to retrieve my key, the receptionist was nowhere to be found. After ringing the bell a few times, waiting 5-10 minutes, the receptionist appeared from a back room, with no apologies whatsoever to the people waiting for them and an unfriendly demeanor. Otherwise would definitely recommend! Especially location wise and distance from the tube and coach stations.

I arrived at The Lime Tree hotel without a reservation after the hotel I was supposed to stay in did not work out. Dil, at the front desk was LOVELY and went out of his way to find me a room and accommodate my needs at the last minute. Once i was settled in my room, I was able to see how truly lovely the hotel was. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean and very comfortable. The location was very central on a charming corner close to many wonderful areas in London, all accessible via the tube or walking (which i did a lot of). I found the experience so great, i even extended my stay and was sad to leave! The staff was kind, friendly and so helpful. From helping me with my luggage, scheduling a taxi to the airport to providing me an adapter and holding my bags as i went off to my next stop. There was also a adorable restaurant on the premise, that was always bustling and smelled delicious. I was traveling for work so was unable to dine, in but it is definitely on my list for next visit. All in all, I couldn't have asked for a better stay in London, in a hotel that I will definitely return to! Hopefully soon!

I stayed in the Lime Tree Hotel in 2010 and again last week during New Year's. This small boutique property in the heart of lovely Belgravia has undergone a complete renovation since I last visited. It is lovely. I very much enjoyed my single room with an excellent view of Ebury Street, with its Christmas decor. The registration staff, especially Dil, were helpful and warm. Their kindness extended to carrying my two bags up the stairs at check-in and then back down when I left. The on-site cafe, The Buttery, was excellent. Couldn't ask for more!

I love boutique hotels, they are always original with an unusual style, small rooms, but cozy. The staff is polite and at my request they gave me a kettle and everything I needed, since initially there was none in the room, but the guys quickly solved the problem. I can safely recommend this nice hotel for couples and singles, the hotel is romantic, there is a coffee shop on the ground floor, the location is also ok. There are shops and cafes nearby.

Staff at front desk are extremely friendly and courteous, answer questions and help with taxis or car service to airport. Beautiful location and clear of tourists ( like myself 🤣) in late afternoons and evenings. Would return in a minute.

Beautiful part of London, beautifully decorated, clean hotel and rooms, very friendly staff who went out of their way to make my stay as a solo traveler easier and more comfortable - The only reason I am not giving a full 5 stars is because it is quite a challenge without a lift to get suitcases up and down the narrow stairs (especially because depending on the time of the day, you may have to do it yourself) and the lack of air conditioning makes cooling the small rooms down almost impossible.

The good: very comfortable beds and clean rooms. Excellent coffee in restaurant downstairs but seating sparse and need to reserve in advance to be able to eat at restaurant. The less good: no elevator and steep stairs.. remote location from main sites of London and no.space to lounge privately and work outside of the bedroom. When we arrived at 9pm on one of the nights we were greeted by a locked front door and asked if we were guests when we rang the bell..followed by a request to state our name and room number. Less than hospitable. Would not return.

Very disappointing experience. Location ok but a bit noisy. Hotel refused to return any of the four day booking charge I had made when family tragedy forced change of plans after a few hours in the hotel. So only stayed one night which cost us approximately $1,500 (breakfast not included!). And then they overcharged us for a further $700 (which they did eventually return). Rooms (especially bathrooms) are small. Showers only (no tubs, for those who might like to soak). Cannot recommend. Avoid.

Unfortunately have to downgrade the review because of the rooftop bar. Reception was lovely to helped us to checked out the room but keep the bill open as we wanna get to the rooftop bar. BUT the staff at rooftop bar insisted us to pay by card immediately which we explained the situation already. They don’t even have the sense to call the reception to double check everything until we asked them to do so. Have to say very disappointed this happened in a 5 star hotel. - Main entrance not grand as a usual 5 star hotel - All the staff are very well trained. (Additionally love their uniforms lol) - The room is impressive even it’s not big. Stylish decoration with all details more than what you would expect in a 5 star hotel - Surprisingly breakfast mushroom omelette. - Much appreciated for the free Moet champagne for our celebration. That’s very sweet. - A kind reminder here the Michelin restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday. - Rooftop bar is chill with lovely seasonal cocktails x

Chop Chop at the Hippodrome Casino offers a fantastic Chinese dining experience in a vibrant yet relaxed setting. The decor strikes a perfect balance between lively and comfortable, making it an ideal spot to unwind, whether you're visiting the casino or just in the area. The food was a real highlight. The chow mien were incredibly smokey and delicious, full of that rich, authentic "wok hei" flavor that really sets great Chinese cuisine apart. I also tried the salt and pepper tofu, which was absolutely delicious — perfectly crispy on the outside while soft and flavorful on the inside. To drink, I ordered the Dragon’s Gate mocktail, and it was amazing. Refreshing, well-balanced, and beautifully presented, it paired wonderfully with the meal. Service was impressively fast without feeling rushed. Despite the restaurant being busy, the staff remained friendly and efficient, ensuring everything arrived hot and fresh in no time. Overall, Chop Chop delivers a brilliant combination of great food, excellent drinks, stylish decor, and speedy service. It's a fantastic choice if you're looking for quality Chinese food in the heart of London. Highly recommend, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

We were visiting several times. Last time in December 2024 and it will be our last. After payment for the satay in reception I sat in the lobby , just in front of reception desk. I started order a transport to airport by phone , and while doing this a man came and took my business bag. And all this with all the cameras , security and door man. So I was robbed in lobby. Hotel of course doesn’t want to take any responsibility. Their insurance not converting it. They don’t even do any compensation for the stay. Zero helpful action. You should expect more from 5* hotel. Shame.
