As someone who has enjoyed the taste of lime flavoured sweets for many years, i expected the exquisite taste to be replicated by this fruit. I even thought that its taste would surpass that even of a lemon, but i was wrong. Limes are an awful fruit and i would never recommend someone to eat one. They may seem enticing, as they as just as a green lemon. This deception is however then quickly ruined by the awful flavour of this terrible fruit. I advise people to stay as far from eating this fruit as possible and to stick to eating lemon over limes. They taste far better and though despite being sour have a taste that can actually be enjoyed unlike their green counterparts.

Food was ok for me , the chix wings coated with too much sauces , but the coctails was 1 for 1 and boy , the gin was absolutely smashing !

As someone who visited the Lime Bar in its better days, I was surprised at how empty the venue was regarding their restaurant and the reviews I had read. The Service to quote was very intimidating as I felt we was constantly under observation, a table for 4. It was an uncomfortable atmosphere and service wasn't the best! The food and drinks clearly over priced for what it was, and to be told at every moment to enjoy even if you wasn't eating was just strange. To say I was very disappointed was an understatement. I would avoid at all cost, there are some beautiful places to dine and enjoy your evening at Media City! This is not one of them.

Seriously this bar has been here 15 years It was always really busy and a friendly atmosphere Not anymore Food was absolutely shockingly bad . Restaurant is now Japanese.. A family of four all had different starters and different mains and it was terrible. The management are just rude and with every complaint your told to Enjoy.. Well we didn't enjoy anything Place is empty for a reason as they say, we should of walked out before we sat down as it was empty .. oh wow it was that bad . I rang up to book out table and requested a booth. Was actually happy we could get a booth on a Friday night . Well it was empty in there . The bill .. After complaining about the fatty pork and Questioning 'how fresh is that sushi" And leaving it and being charged for it anyway The bill came ... and with all our complaints she actually charged us a service charge that was removed . The management Seemingly like to stand there enjoying there job by being very attentive towards each other and standing in the middle of a empty restaurant quite pleased that the empty space has no customers and having a laugh Not sure what's funny about a empty restaurant on a Friday. Anyway don't bother. Food is seriously bad Drinks are just drinks and the bar area was also dead .. New management are needed.. This bar was always the thriving busy place with atmosphere

I like this bar but I don't like the fact they put music on when football is playing. also staff not great at keeping an eye on who's first at the bar.

Pleasant enough place when I ducked in to catch an evening footy game on TV but no use pretending that food us served until 9pm when the kitchen is closed well before this even when quite busy.

Exceptional sushi! One of the hidden gems for sushi. Been there once and we’ve been a regular ever since. Way better sushi than most big names. Must try ! 👌

Street food by Unagi was perfect, and the margaritas were delicious

The place is ok, can get really busy and loud sometimes. The food is ok, depending on what you choose. The worst thing in this place is the service, some of the staff absolutely rude with a very bad attitude, super unwelcoming

The only place I know where you can drink your burger

We were just looking for bite to eat before a night at The Lowry. One of our party had visited before and suggested the Japanese Street Food. So much to choose from and so happy with our choices. The Yellowfin Tuna, Soft Shell Spider Crab and Chai Pannecotte with caramalised Pistachios particular highights. The staff were so friendly and made sure we were on time for the performance with their great service!

Food was absolutely mega and our server who I think was called Todd was so friendly and helpful, we will definitely be back

Seated quickly the guy never came back to take a drinks order so I politely asked the waiter that was serving the next table to be answered rudely and abruptly that he would WHEN he’d finished with the other table! A reply along the lines of ‘Of course I’ll get someone to take your order’ would have sufficed! Had to ask for cutlery and serviettes after our food was brought out again felt as though we were inconveniencing them. It wasn’t busy at all I certainly don't think the 10% surcharge was earnt on this occasion but we did pay it 🙄

Called in here today with my mother. She was really struggling with her mobility. One of the female staff came to the door to help us in and sat us down. Very friendly and helpful. The food was great. On leaving I asked a member of staff could they help my mother to my car if I drove it round to the drop off point. She willingly agreed and gave me her mobile number so I could ring her when I got there. It all worked out for the best. Going above and beyond. Excellent service.

Great choice of drinks, at media city prices. Seating area is quite small compared to dining tables area. Quite a strong smell of fish.

Had a pre theatre meal here with my husband. Staff were friendly and helpful. Atmosphere was very pleasant. Food lovely.

A wonderful treat after going to the Lowry theatre! The food was excellent supported by a 5 star service from both Naomi and Todd! A real must either before or after a show! Definitely value for money!

We had our first visit, and it certainly will not be our last. Food was really tasty, service was excellent and the atmosphere was good, having football on the screens helped with the younger and older guests in our party. Would highly recommend

Good choice for Gluten free, friendly and attentive staff. Not haute cuisine but reasonable value for money.

Enjoyed the company of fellow football fans even though most of them were our opposition that day, we got on well and had a good crack.

Lovely food, nice atmosphere. "Only" downside, there was no sweetener for my coffee. Little detail, but as a diabetic, it counts.

Sushi was great, beer was fine katsu curry awful. It tasted like it was fried in old oil and the spices in the sauce weren't cooked off properly.

The bang bang chicken and sushi were really nice. The tofu in the noodles was soggy and not very nice.

Asked the staff to put the audio on for the football and they lied to us and repeadiyly said no. Pther times I've been here they play the football audio no problem weather or not its united playing. Complete hypocrites

The sushi was really good. The katsu curry tofu was not as good

The food was average but overpriced for what it was - it was edible but overall fairly tasteless. Nice selection of beers but these didn't taste as they should. Very poor Aperol spritz. Mistakes made on the food order and things arrived at different times. First time here and it was ok, it got us fed and the waiter was nice enough but we won't be coming back.

A nice relaxed place to eat and drink

Enjoyed it. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, if not a little too attentive - had to bat them away at times as they kept flocking to our table. Food was great, albeit a little on the small side portion-wise for the price. Toilets were a little dirty and need a refresh; no hand soap in the men's and the only hand drier didn't work.

Came into lime bar for drinks , fin served me and wow what a lovely man , great service , great atmosphere, definitely coming back , Louise and Brandon were the definition of service with a smile , little esha was a shining star with the best energy , someone let her know she’s amazing , wow what a great place !!!!

I have been here a few times, so I popped in yesterday for a drink after shopping with some friends. Ordered two Zombies, Amazing! I received very friendly and attentive service from the lady with black hair and tattoos. (Sorry! Didn’t catch her name!) Will be back again!

The play list was good on the day, but I think it was a Halloween mix rather than their usual music! The food was okay but not amazing. Bit pricey for what it was.

Really good. Came here with 28 people for a works do. Was recommended the buffet option for a large group. Food quality, quantity and service were amazing. Everyone commented how great it was.

I shared wings and squid to start. The squid was rubbery with very greasy batter. The wings were just OK. The main course was poor. The chicken was over cooked to the point of being hard and difficult to chew, the sauce was bland. Side salad was wet. The lady who looked after us was very friendly and helpful. I won't eat here again.

No booking needed on a Friday night pre theatre menu available. Food good. Service good.

Food is SO good here, great range and love the sushi. Poke bowls are brilliant too and worth the money.

First time visit which won't be our last

Went in to watch the last 2 hours of the Ryder Cup, Had watched and hour and a half and here was only one match left with 2 holes to play and they switched to the Liverpool game which was still 25 minutes off starting. Absolute rubbish, there are more sports than just Football.

Bar service great, booked a table requested a booth, but too busy, At table service, waiting a little longer than normal, but expected as busy, had mushrooms on sour dough, fish and chips, grandad hot dog all foods spot on!! Second visit, slight change in the starter mushrooms, missing few bits from last time, shame....

Great venue to meet up with friends before United games. Plenty of seating if you get in early. Large TV screens showing sports events. Large selection of beers to try. A little bit pricey buy you have to expect it due to location. Service quick due having plenty of staff on during match days.

Really bad green thai curry, tasted like salty water.

We went for dinner here yesterday after a long day at a conference we were attending. Great decision! Friendly and professional staff who greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcome. One mark of good restaurant training is when they get back to you at some point to ask if everything is OK with the food, which they did. There was a bit of a delay getting our bill but it didn't really matter as we were enjoying our time chatting. I ordered the spicy squid for starter -- it was one of the best ones I've had (and I love squid). Perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, crispy and tender. Good portion size too. For my mains, I had The Spider sushi, consisting of soft-shelled crab and avocado. Delicious and filling! Their poke bowls are great too. Beautiful plating as well. They both have western and Japanese and Japanese fusion selection. Highly recommended!

Great little spot to watch sports and have a drink or bite to eat after uni or work. We usually come here on a Wednesday afternoon and the vibe is great. It’s nice when busy and nice when quiet. I never knew it was a sushi bar for a while, but it functions well as a boozer and a place for food! Staff are great and helpful.

I was leaving the bar and the security touched me inappropriately. I lost my drinks and he was agressive. Will not be returning.

Good and service great, but need to sort out the gents toilets. They are a disgrace.

Didn't try the food enjoyed a couple of pints, only down side was the bench outside was missing a foot so nearly went flying as I sat down.

A quiet bank holiday in late may here. Says it's a sports bar but pnly had 1 TV on inside (2 max) and a couple outside for League play off final. Good range of beer,but as I say, unusual for a bar to he that quiet on a sunny, bh Monday.

Estrella was very poor but San Miguel was very good. Didn't eat there so can't comment. Staff were friendly.... Cheers

Always coming here on weekends, despite being busy the food is always fresh and it comes fast, they put effort to pay attention to details and design , staffs are so lovely and I’m never disappointed with their service, always my first place to go

Very nice bar / restaurant with a nice variety of local and Asian dishes on the menu. The Thai curry and the Fish&Chips were excellent. Staff very friendly. Nice music. Great atmosphere. Good outside terrace. Highly recommended.

Good service and variety of food prices are good as well, we tried the sushi and the crispy pork belly which were very tasty, even in a match day the service was pretty fast which honestly was unexpected in a very good way. The burger was really tasty the right size

Really friendly and excellent pre theatre meal!

We went to Lime on Friday for a meal before going to see a performance at The Lowry. We were seated at 5.30pm, we gave our order which was 2 starters and 2 mains. Our starters came fairly quickly, however, by 7pm there was no sign of our mains. We asked about this and said we had to be in The Lowry for 7.30pm. The gentleman who we spoke to went to enquire about the order and came back to say the food would be out in 12-15 minutes. At this stage we said that we would have to leave it as we wouldn't have time. What really angered us was, the people on the table next to us who were seated at 6.40pm received their meals within 15 minutes. We were really disappointed because we had read so many reviews about this place and really wanted to try it.

Disrespectful manner to deal with regular clients, I came on and at 18:09 they informed me there was a waiting list I booked and I listed on the waiting list 19:32 had my table, I ordered my courses from the menu all was okay till now after an half an hour a lady came to me to apologize that's fine the chief didn't server sushi 🍣 which I order anymore, nothing to say it took them more than half an hour to get back this response I changed my order and it's served at 20:17 after I finished my plate on 2:38 other table had a suchi plate. It's not respectful manner to welcome your guests and definitely there are other places which show more respect to their guests. WILL NEVER GET BACK AGAIN.

Had a great family meal out at the Lime Bar last night. Loved the Sushi and the Katsu curry especially. The waiting staff were excellent and we were made to feel at home. Can’t not say anything about the kitchen staff who provided us all with some absolutely fantastic food. Would give more than 5 stars if possible. Will definitely go back the next time I’m in the area.
