Super slow service all the time I’ve had to walk out as there is almost 20 mins waiting just for a drink They need more staff there!!! Always annoying

As a high-flying titan of finance, I wandered into Caffe Nero, weighed down by big deals. Stress radiated off me like heat from an overworked espresso machine. The barista (who seemed to be the sole server) stood behind the counter like a maestro conducting a symphony, unfazed even when one customer rattled off a ridiculously long order filled with iced drinks, extra syrups, and milk substitutions that sounded like a chemistry experiment When it was finally my turn, I ordered a ristretto—a simple yet demanding choice. The barista didn’t just make it; she crafted it, timing the 15-second shot with surgical precision. While I’m sure she has countless other things going on in her life, in that moment, she made it feel like the execution of my ristretto was the most important thing in the world. So impressed with what I had witnessed I asked one of the barista's colleagues for her name for the purpose of this review. I think she said the barista was called Anna (maybe I misheard and it was Hannah) - regardless, many thanks for a memorable coffee!

Traditional, fast, normal, and less than normal

Recently visited this branch on Friday afternoon. Found the young man behind the counter to be extremely pleasant. He was attentive, friendly, helpful and importantly, listened. He offered upgrades without being pushy and was a breath of fresh air to be served by. Coffee and lunch was lovely. Will visit again.

A cute Cafe Nero branch located on the street. There is also an outdoor seating area. The environment and decor are very nice. My coffee was hot and delicious, just as I wanted. Adriana and her other male teammate were respectful, polite and friendly. Thank you so much Adriana, for making delicious coffee and being positive :) There was nice classical music playing. Thanks to you, I drank my coffee with happiness.

Staff were great Romeo and Juliet loved they're morning latte before embracing the rest of the day the staff were attentiveband the coffee was delicious we will be back. And special thanks to the barista Raye 💚

Ridiculous for the store to shut within 2 hours of opening. Staff in a rush to get everyone out, getting our drinks wrong. Also throwing food out? Least they could have done is offer it complimentary for the mistakes they were doing but no. Getting out was major priority apparently. Hint: it wasn't. You had customers you should have properly seen to. The store wasn't on fire, there was no emergency. Unacceptable level of service!

Absolutely blown away by my experience at Caffè Nero today! I’ve never been to this cafe Nero before so I thought I would use click and collect for the very first time, and WOW—what a game changer! The double espresso waiting for me? Absolute perfection! The moment I walked in, it was ready—hot, rich, and packed with bold, intense flavor. The barista’s (I think his name was Joe) attention to detail was top-notch, and you can really tell he cares about his craft. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Attended the Tiger who came to tea event. Disappointed to find no tigers. Tea was nice. I had camomile. And a flapjack.

The ladies here have to serve a lot in the morning rush, but they serve great coffee and food quickly with a smile and great service.

Nice coffee shop, seating to front and rear of coffee shop. Team great, friendly and quick service. Becoming v expensive now and still charge extra for things like decaf!

I love them, very cozy place but they close too early

Visited today and was so glad they had a scone, jam and clotted cream. Who doesn't love a cream tea. Well I had coffee ☕ but was georgous. I put jam first then cream as that is how it's done ✅

I would like to share my experience today in this store. I purchased a green tea and planned to work from the coffee shop (as a lot of people do). After taking a seat, I noticed freezing cold air being blown from the air conditioner, which I decided to put up with for almost an hour. After politely asking the attendance if she could turn the temperature up or off, she responded 'yes'. 30 minutes later and I am still enduring the same problem. I have since written a complaint the Cafe Nero, underlining the lack of empathy/care I received visiting your store today.

First time here . I am one of the nicest people you can meet . I went in to order a double espresso. Small queue . I never answer the phone when I am at counter . I had an urgent call . I had to answer it so I stepped away for a few yards he embarrassed Me for asking me to pay infront of everyone. Customer service he could have said I will charge these first then you when finished phone call . He give me horrible looks . So I paid for my coffee then asked can you put my point on the app they said no and give me a card . The guy answered with out looking at me with his back towards me and said next time you come in I will transfer it . I catch the train every night I was going to come here every night ! Not in a million years ! This is the one of worst reviews I have ever given ! Nero is my favourite coffee as well !

I eat vegan and was very pleased with this place. Very nice women behind the counter, had a nice chat and the vegan porridge and cappuccino were also nice. I’ll come back.

To me, it is one of the best branches of Nero’s in the country. All the baristas here are decent and make tasty coffee and also very friendly. The menu was taken on 13 Apr 2024. Quiet, nice and cozy ambience. There are also four or five tables outside at the front and a couple more tables at the back. There are a few pay-at-machine parking spaces just outside the cafe and also two or three (non-free) parking lots around. (Browncross Street Car park is an expensive place and you might want to use Si P Spaw Street Arches Car park which is much cheaper. However, it is not so obvious where the boundary lies between the two car parks so watch out for it as there seem to be many people who got fined for wrong parking there.)

Extremely rude server who was loudly complaining about her job while we waited. Also given the wrong sized drinks.

What a top class Nero this is - probably the best one in Manchester / Salford City centre. So clean and spacious with all sorts of seating arrangements. The Pistachio & Chocolate Mousse Cake was top drawer.

What a delightful branch of Nero. This is a terrific find. Clean, with reasonable furnishings. The ambience is pleasant even with the volume of people there. I would love to revisit late in the day. It is close enough the the city centre, yet nestled just far enough from Deansgate to offer respite and a time out from the Hustle and Bustle of the city. I would highly recommend the location for a group meet, or a quiet get together. Parking is just a short walk around the corner. When next in the city, I will make a point of stopping by again. Certainly one of the better Neros in the chain I have visited.

A nice, cosy cafe. Slightly quieter compared to other city centre based cafes, which is a massive advantage!

Im loving it .the best mocha and hot choclate .value for money and amazingly better than other so called brands .worth having more in manchester and accessible .please open more frenchises towards salford eccles swinton as we need to travel far for just having this beauty . Pleaseeeeee

Awful experience in this shop. I was served by the manager called Luke. I ordered a coffee before going to work ready to have a nice day and he ruined everything with his disgusting attitude. I understand that sometimes people can have a bad day but if you work at the front desk you need to be professional enough to do your best and create a nice rapport with the people you encounter during the day. The issue was I paid with a perk code (It's an app) I was sure I did go through. When the coffee was ready he asked me to pay again so I told him I thought I had already paid for it. He then took the coffee away from treating me like a thief and asked me to pay again which I did because I thought maybe I was wrong and the previous payment hadn't gone through. Once the SECOND payment went through he took the coffee back and he told now it's pay you can take it. Disgusting! I went out and because his attitude was that awful, I checked my app to see who was right/wrong about the payment. I saw two payments on my account (6 and 2 min respectively) So I went back just to tell him I paid twice and even though I showed him the payments he refused to accept this and he kept saying that wasn't possible because he didn't press the bottom to allow payment. ridiculous. Just an apology and a bit of empathy would have been nice. Can't believe this person is in charge of a shop.

The most miserable, unfriendly guy serving today. No manners, basically ignored me. I was polite and respectful. I expect the same in return to be honest. The place could do with a clean too. I had chance to look while being ignored lol The coffee is ok but should have walked a bit further to Costa

I'm the wrong type of customer for this place. In my opinion everything is overpriced. I was simply there because my friends wanted to meet up. I examined the menu and nothing interested me so i didn't buy anything and when I was offered something I turned it down. Coffee is alcohol, it should not cost that much

Nice and friendly, good food, however came for Riverside views, only a main road and building works to look at!

Caffe Nero Riverside has a fantastic atmosphere, great food, very friendly and helpful staff that truly care about your coffee experience. The aesthetic is lush with shelves full of books and comfy sofas and chairs. You can sit inside or outside and it is always bustling with customers. Don't be worried if your Barista takes your order then the person behind you. They are masters of multi-tasking and you'll never be waiting long for the beverage you requested. Parking - there is parking right outside the shop (limited spaces, it is free before 8am and you can pay for parking with an app or machine), there is also 2 car parks before Tesco's where you can park via app or cash also (these are not free). 10/10 would coffee here again.

Love Cafe Nero coffee and love most of the cafes but recently the cakes and tray bakes have been shrinking almost before my eyes to the point where i no longer buy them - come on,lets have a decent sized cake!

My favourite branch of Caffe Nero in central Manchester/Salford. I pop in most weeks usually to pick up my free 02 priority coffee :-) It's good to see the place properly open again. Roomy inside and also plenty of seats outside. Staff are invariably friendly and polite

Excellent place ruined by staff smoking outside, the tables are clearly marked no smoking area, hate that, ruined taste of a lovely sandwich and a beautiful coffee with smoke from people who actually work there!

Having walked around the Science and Industry Museum needed somewhere for a swift light bite and a coffee - service was quick polite, free wi-fi, and clean. Finished and walked up the road in time for the park and ride bus to take us back to the hotel! May try these again. Excellent value - Thank you

Fairly new place, right next to tesco and about 4 available spots to park, pay and display but always busy. It's really nice little hidden gem for some quick food or a drink. I definitely reccomend.

Coffee is coffee is coffee. Although, they should really ask if a customer wants chocolate sprinkles. If you don't want them be clear on ordering.

More corporate bull, keeping people on minimum wage

Rude young woman behind the counter when I went in this morning sun 10 Feb. She obviously is not happy in her job and was taking it out on me! Cancelled my order and went else where! If you want rude and aggressive attitude then this is the place for you!

It was my first visit to this cafe and I truly felt like I discovered a little haven. It was very quiet but I think that had to do with England playing the football match today. Ideal for me though... very lovely and relaxing atmosphere.

I am here very regular, the service is always friendly and fast and the coffee is always top class! They offer vegan options too, free WiFi, plug in points for your devices and a very very relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend this Caffe Nero for a relaxed coffee, relaxed environment to do some work or unwind at the end of a busy work day.

One of the nicest cleanest Nero coffee shops I have visited, i travel all over the UK and call in at Nero’s coffee shops to have my favourite mocha. The staff are very knowledgable and welcoming, the place is very clean and feels like sitting at home having coffee. Well done to Rosie for making an excellent mocha !! Well done Nero’s !

If I think rightly the only Nero in Salford, one of the more modern ones of the chain. It's only small but is cozy and has a good range of products on offer. Limited seating, but there's a large outdoor seating area both at the front and back of the store if the weather is ok. Ideally placed if you're near Spinningfields or travelling to and from Salford Central station.
