Life is Sweet in South Lakeland

This place sells amazon ice cream. The girl behind the counter was really helpful and took time to look after all her customers. Place was a real find.

Abby is a breath of fresh air. The aesthetic of the shop is adorable and fun with a wide range of traditional sweets and the more obscure too. Please please please everyone who is after ice cream in Windermere this is where you need to go!!!!!!!!!!!! There is a wide range of flavours of ice creams, far tastier than the one other local competitor in windermere and at much more affordable prices. It's worth going inside just for the customer service. Abby is a ray of sunshine .

Pequeña tienda encantadora con todo, desde frascos de dulces comprados por peso, pasando por una buena selección de chocolates, hasta helados realmente geniales. El personal era amable y servicial, ofrecía consejos sobre cosas que hacer en el área y me permitía tomarme mi tiempo para seleccionar chocolates cuando estaba vacilante. Hay algunas tiendas similares en la zona, pero esta fue fácilmente la más acogedora.

¡Definitivamente recomendaríamos esta tienda de dulces que la visitamos tres veces en nuestra estadía de tres días! La primera vez que comimos helado (el pistacho estaba delicioso y cremoso), luego la segunda vez para probar los chocolates y luego la tercera para obtener más chocolates porque estaban muy buenos. La señora que nos atendió fue encantadora.

This place not only sells great ice cream but also has a wonderfully light, icy sorbet. So often I order sorbet and it is heavy and creamy. This is light and bright and wonderful to eat! Very nice people in a wonderful little town!

I love a good sweet shop and this one despite being very small certainly has a great selection. It stocks all the old fashioned favourites and has a good selection of US candy too.The prices are pretty good, I paid £1.50 for 100g of Midget Gems, the American sweets are more expensive but you find that with anywhere that stocks them. The lady that served me was pleasant and the shop is done out in lovely pastel colours.

Unfriendly service, be prepared for the staff to stare hard especially if you're of colour. My children had to walk out due to the rudeness/staring of the staff! I didn't know why they had come out of the shop without buying anything so went in. I was treated the same way as the children, with the woman with short hair staring very hard at me as soon as I went in. I don't know if she thought I was going to steal something but she didn't greet me or smile. The other woman spoke to me hence I bought some sweets otherwise I too would have left too.
