Lezzet Restaurant in North Tyneside

We were in Newcastle for a few hours and were looking for a good place to eat had a few options but this place stood out more. Exceeded our expectations from the vibe from outside, insite parking, the decor, staff were very friendly and very hospitable to us and our children the owner even greeted us which was lovely. Food was fantastic cannot fault it we went for adana kebabs, mixed grill, mocktails, chicken strips and meatballs for kids. To be extra greedy went for the kunafe dessert absolutely insane. Can't wait to go back :)

Lovely looking restaurant with a car park. Courteous and attentive waiters and waitresses. I ordered the lamb hummus which was delicious and my partner ordered Moussaka which was the winner, I ordered a lamb rice dish which did come out cold but they soon heated it for me. My choice was the wrong choice. I would happily return to the restaurant and would recommend just not my lamb (Tiftik Tander). We visited on a Sunday at 5pm the restaurant was quiet would like to revisit when busier for a better atmosphere.

Sat for 25 mins and not even a drinks order was taken never mind the food order got up and walked out

Entertaining and very good staff

What an atmosphere, what an amazing food with service. The staff were all pleasant with a smile on their faces. Mr Izzet was there from the start to finish of the amazing Turkish night we had. I recently dined at Lezzet Restaurant in Newcastle, and it was an experience beyond just the food. From the moment I stepped inside, I was enveloped in a truly authentic atmosphere. The décor and ambiance immediately transported me to Turkey, while the soft, spiritual music playing in the background elevated the entire dining experience to another level. Izzet Bey, a true gentleman, welcomed us with such warmth and grace. His hospitality made us feel like honored guests from the start. As for the food, it was nothing short of exceptional. I had the lamb chops, and they were perfectly cooked—so tender and flavorful that they rivaled the best I’ve had in Istanbul. It’s rare for me to be completely satisfied with Turkish cuisine outside of Turkey, but Lezzet absolutely delivered. To top it all off, the baklava and chai were the perfect conclusion—sweet and aromatic, a flawless pairing. For anyone who appreciates authentic Turkish flavors and an atmosphere that elevates the experience, Lezzet is truly something special. I can’t recommend it enough!

While the food was absolutely amazing, the experience was completely ruined by the rude server. He was an Egyptian man who was not only nosy but also condescending throughout the meal. His attitude made what could have been a fantastic dining experience very unpleasant. Wouldn’t return because of the service.

Fantastic evening celebrating my birthday and anniversary, and scored with it also coinciding with restaurant week! Absolutely phenomenal! My recent dining experience at a Lezzet Turkish restaurant in Newcastle Upon Tyne was nothing short of extraordinary. The mix grill, in particular, was a masterpiece. My son was 25 and we went there as a family . The new staff were amazing and could not do enough for us . Quick to bring drinks after ordering them . Food we ordered was mainly mixed grill ( family of meat eaters except daughter ) hummus was the best ever and the bread was so lovely ! First time there to dine in ; will definitely go back . A beautiful rose was handed to me on leaving from the manager ; who spoke Geordie to us and made us laugh 😆. Very lovely man . My son got to wear a birthday hat of sorts ; which made us laugh- free cake for birthdays if mentioned on booking table ❤️💋

Having made a reservation to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday, there was an amazing atmosphere making our Saturday night really special. Despite it being super busy (always a good sign), we didn’t have long wait long for drinks and our food, which also didn’t take long to arrive, was sensational. With so much choice on the menu, you can’t go wrong plus it’s so easy to book a table through their website. I’d definitely book here again.

I went for my birthday meal, the food is absolutely fantastic and one of my favourite places to eat, it's honestly incredible food. However the service really let's it down, unhappy staff who were unhelpful and rude, really ruined it, it is quite expensive so I would expect the service to be good.

Had a really lovely meal on Thursday night in a fabulous atmosphere, I think every table was taken, always a good sign. We had a slight hick up on the coffee order, but there was no hesitation on replacing and our bill was adjusted too- can't complain at that. When writing a review , I always consider would I go back- without a shadow of doubt. Looking forward to seeing you again soon!

Excellent Food and service. We went for a birthday celebration and upon paying the bill, gentleman asked if we are celebrating anything special, for which we said yes, its the birthday. He then said, don't go anywhere and brought us a delicious cake, a turkish hat and played fhe birthday music. We really appreciated the kind gesture. We'll surely be back.

I prefer not to eat out for two reasons: I'm particular about hygiene standards, and I really enjoy homemade food. However, Lezzet never fails to meet my expectations in either area. Everything on the menu is delicious. As a family, we are discerning about meat quality, and Lezzet consistently offers the best-tasting meals, along with excellent vegetarian options. It’s my favorite place to indulge when I want to eat out. I can’t recommend it enough—undoubtedly the best in the North!

A beautiful Turkish restaurant in Newcastle. Good size parking lot within its boundaries when it is not that busy. We got seated to our table which we reserved in advance for a big group. The waiters were very friendly and hospitable. Food took very long to arrive, but it was worth the wait, the plates were delicious and well presented. Overall very positive experience if only improved by faster service of food to reach perfection.

Update: I visited the restaurant recently and what a huge decrease in the service, waiters were so upset and they don’t smile at all 👎 Food quality has changed dramatically Will never go back again!

I took my 9 year old daughter on a Saturday evening and we were treated beautifully. Amazing food and lovely service, one of the best Turkish restaurants going. Thea, the 9 year old adds…the staff were really nice, the bread was amazing, they made me feel very welcome. Will be back!

Lezzet’s food is the most authentic Turkish food I have had so far.Succulent dishes and desserts. Love the calm and warm place with very good service.

We returned as two families for a graduation meal with my son and his girlfriend. The staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The roses given to the ladies were beautiful (very large) and we were all amazed that the happy couple were given large slices of chocolate cake topped with flare candles. So much fun and a real surprise for us all. Thank you to Sharif and all at Lezzet.

First time at Lezzet and won't be my last visit. The food is very good and the portions are generous. I really enjoyed my starter and main. The staff were on it, even when busy. The atmosphere is good and it was obvious, others were also enjoying their evening meals. I will definitely be back again.

Best Turkish restaurant in North East. Lovely food and service. Free parking. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Private hire is available. You can check the kitchen and meet the chef if you want.

Everything about the place is nice, went on a recommendation and wasn't disappointed, shared a mixed grill for 2, you need to be prepared to get stuck in with your fingers as its the best way to eat off the bone. The only thing I could fault is the drink selection but only because I drink Guinness and they didn't sell it. Live 2 hours away but will definitely be back.

I rarely get an opportunity to visit Lezzet, but everytime I've been the food has been fantastic. It's not the cheapest, but it never disappoints.

Me and my partner went for our anniversary it was amazing night out, we even told the staff members it was anniversary dinner so they give us free dessert , staff are friendly and very helpful atmosphere was great and restaurant it’s self was clean amazing and good will be returning back here

Beautiful restaurant, definitely dress up when you go there. The staff were very friendly and polite! The food was so delicious cannot recommend enough! The service was very quick which was appreciated in most places you're waiting 45m - 1h but not here. The staff also asked if we came for an occasion (we did a birthday) he then brought over a free cheesecake and the staff sung happy birthday! Was lovely

I cannot express how fantastic this restaurant is! The food is phenomenal, the service is top notch, the restaurant is so beautiful as well. They found out we were there for a baby gender reveal and surprised the mama with a cake and sparklers, everyone was so nice. Most of us got the mixed grill which is a 10/10, don't skip out on the garlic sauce because 😍 the adana wrap was fantastic, as was the iskendar! Will absolutely be coming back again, and soon!

Another lovely night, another delicious food in lovely atmosphere.. This time I tried 'Lezzet Delight', I guess now this is my favorite one, what a nice and soft meat 😋

The owner was very welcoming, even guiding us into the car park (be prepared for a tight squeeze). Lovely manner and genuinely happy to have you there. Great menu, the food had lots of flavour and the timings of courses were spot on. I really enjoyed the birthday songs for birthday tables! Lights dim and everybody claps along.. great atmosphere!
