Overpriced with fussy decor. Eggs be edict hollandaise was lack lustre and without substance. Any ambience there may have been was ruined by staff tidying up balloon garlands from a function of the previous evening. Overall pretentious.

Visited here on a Sunday lunchtime hoping for a lovely homemade scone only to be told, sold out… before 2pm…. In fact hardly any sweet treats, I could only see 2 traybakes. So I had to think again, place was really busy, and I have to say, a beautiful tardus inside, so remained positive. As I fancied scone and jam, the best alternative was toast and jam, but not any old, toast this was described as farmhouse. I imagined crusty, thick bread, possibly even homemade jam…. Wow…after a 45 minute wait could I have been anymore disappointed! Yes, we got a complimentary cuppa because after eventually asking how much longer, and we were about to give up and leave, we were told 5 staff down. Well I get that, honestly I do, I work in retail, but pleeeeease….explain that. Don’t just bring tea and then ignore us for the next 45 minutes. If you know toast is going to take forever, give us the option to decide if the wait is feasible. But…the worst part by far…. Farmhouse toast my a**e!! Try the medium sliced cheapest loaf from the local supermarket bearing no resemblance to anything farmhouse. If I’d known no scone, a forever wait and then rubber toast, absolutely I’d have skipped this visit.

Driven past this place many, many times .... today I parked and went in. Roast Beef for dinner methinks. A wait whilst it was prepared - maybe 10 minutes - a good sign, its coming fresh..... The beef was succulent , the veg freshly cooked , the mealie heavenly and the Yorkshire pudding was amazing. £9.50 - slightly more than I'd normally pay for lunch, until today. My job usually leads to a poor grab and go diet..which is basically what I did today. The difference? I'd happily pay the same again, and regularly. It makes a difference getting polite service, an honest time on how long it'd be. Served piping hot.... in a well sealed container. My mums IS better, but ... hey, who's mum isn't? See you again soon. Nice one.(Got any horseradish?...lol)

Quality seems to have slipped quite a bit. Spag bol was average at best. The chicken in the salad was poor thin slices. Staff are lovely and friendly but rushed off their feet. Was so looking forward to first visit since covid restrictions and was very disappointed

Excellent food, lovely presentation would 💯 recommend for events!! Easy to get in contact with and great service.

My wife and I was there for breakfast this morning after a long break due to COVID 19 and it was amazing as before service quality and value first class the owner and staff has worked so hard to get the place running again and looking well inside we will return very soon as to us the breakfast is outstanding just quality everywhere.Mandy and Adrian

Nice place for lunch food as good as any where in Aberdeen. Service was very fast too fast they brought out our main course along with our starters a small blip in a nice visit

My friend & I went to the Xmas afternoon tea, to say we were stuffed was an understatement, so many courses we ended up with a doggy bag. The food was great & the service from the staff was tremendous!

On Dec.7th.we enjoyed a festive afternoon tea at this excellent eatery.We were a party of 5 ladies and had an awesome 6 course selection of beautiful food.The owner,Lorraine and her staff ,gave us their undivided attention .We have visited this establishment on a regular basis and have never been disappointed.We cannot recommend it enough,give it a try.

Exceptional Christmas Afternoon Tea with family and friends this afternoon. The whole experience from start to finish was first class. The ambiance and level of service was of a very high standard, tables dressed with white table cloths, china teapots and cups and saucers. 5 courses, all of which are homemade with a delicious selection of savoury nibbles and sandwiches to cakes decorated with a Christmas theme. Unlimited pots of tea and coffee. Staff are very attentive and service faultless. Christmas music in the background, a truly amazing afternoon. Best afternoon tea I have ever experienced.

Very welcoming environment, staff was lovely. A lot of effort has been put into the dining area to make it feel comfortable. Food came piping hot and was delicious, would recommend.

Excellent range of choices , friendly smiling staff. Swift work between orders considering how busy it was. Would like to return for the “sit-ootery” as it looked fabulous.

Having booked a table for lunch at 12.15 and arriving in plenty of time we were shown to our seats after a couple of minutes wait. Our drinks order was taken promptly but has to wait a further 40 minutes for the waitress to return and take our food order despite us asking to order on three separate occasions! When eventually we did order we were told the specials were sold out. To say we were frustrated and disappointed is an understatement. There was only one member of staff taking orders in the sitooterie and was clearly struggling to cope with the volume of tables to serve. Having reviewed the time left of our 1 hour lunch break we were left with no alternative but to leave empty handed (and stomach). At the till we explained the situation and the server called the manager who apologised which was good but then undid that apology by giving a load of excuses such as staff turnover, new staff, small kitchen with small capacity for x amount of meals but that she actually had 10 members of staff in that day? My question was why only one waitress working the floor during a busy lunchtime? We were then told that if we wanted the specials then we would be best phoning ahead and ordering them! Considering the specials only went up on their Facebook page at 11.58 and we were already in the car travelling there, the issue was The fact our order wasn’t taken in a timely manner! By this time we had been in the place for 50 mins, had to pay for our drinks and weren’t offered even so much as a cookie in consolation! Left feeling HANGRY!

Have visited there few times now, staff are friendly and helpful, food is fresh and tastes good and there is few vegan options so am impressed. Highly recommend a visit. I will be going back soon.

This place may not look much from outside, but once you walk in, it's a different world. The staffs were lovely and the food was amazing. The place is very cozy with very warm decorations. It's a must visit place to eat breakfast or lunch. They do close before 4 PM like most places in this area. We ate breakfast and lunch almost everyday we were there. Abbey guest house right next to it is owned by the same owner and we weren't disappointed with the guest house either. 5 stars are not enough.

Take way Saturday lunch time, salad box, toasted sandwich, two scones, two muffins and can of Fanta £21.00. Salad and sandwich very fresh. The plain scone unfortunately we binned as tasted under cooked.We would visit again as a treat as quite expensive.

Went with a friend for lunch, not the cheapest, but I have to say both of us thought our meals were excellent- so good value after all. We cleared our plates. We sat out the back - lovely surroundings.

Second visit to take away and wont be the last! Had a highlander wrap which is beef and haggis! Absolutely lovely! Treated myself to a banoffee muffin which was equally as good! Service is a little slow and wouldnt go if I was in a hurry but the food makes up for it! Will definitely be returning to the cafe itself as well as to take away

What a fab cafe . We were spending the day in Peterhead to visit the Prison `museum .

My husband and I popped in to have lunch in the new sitootrie. They were very busy but we were quickly shown to a table and our order taken. Quite a few of the specials were already sold out but we managed to get the last two Turkey dinners. Well, what can I say? Our plates were loaded with turkey and all the trimmings and it was delicious. We certainly had value for money and really enjoyed our time in the lovely new extension. It was a cold day outside but warm and cosy inside. We will certainly be back for lunch and I have already been back with my sister in law for morning coffee and fresh scone.

Went here at the weekend with my parents and it was brilliant. Sat out in the new seating area out the back and it was lovely and warm in such a cold day. My father said it was one of the best sandwiches he ever had and the service was spot on. The place was spotless clean. Definitely recommend a visit! Try the highlander!!

I used to work in Peterhead a few years ago, and always loved getting the takeaway salad boxes for lunch! When I found out they had added a seating area or (sit-oot-erie) in the back I just had to return, and was not disappointed. Myself, my husband, and our toddler went on a Thursday afternoon and were greeted very warmly by the staff and swiftly shown to our seats. I ordered a salad, my husband had a sandwich and our son had a fruit salad. The food was prompt and we couldn’t fault the meals at all. The new room has such a lovely atmosphere, we could have stayed all afternoon! Can’t wait to come back.

I have been at this place several times in the past and have always enjoyed the takeaway however the new sitting area has opened and we fancied trying it.

I loved this place before the “Sitooterie” opened, now I want to LIVE here! Food is exceptional, service is excellent and the new seating area has been so expertly planned and decorated it’s an absolute pleasure to visit.

Best sandwich shop in Peterhead! Would definitely recommend. Very fresh also has an interesting menu I enjoyed the firecracker sandwich.

What a cracking discovery! Fantastic varied healthy menu. Staff genuinely pleasant and helpful. I had a bfast bagel scrambled egg and it must have had 6 rashers of bacon on top. Delicious! 👍
