Using this hotel in such a serene but accessible environment is a plus altho' you might have to pay for parking.... Rooms are cool. Training halls are also great with necessary accessories.

Me and my partner recently visited this hotel in Oxford for our 5 year anniversary. We arrived at 3:05 on the Saturday for our one night stay with high hopes as we'd stayed at a Leonardo hotel in London previously that was very nice. Although our stay was not as we hoped. Upon arrival after the earliest check in time they informed us our room was still not ready meaning we had to sit in the lounge for around 30/40 minutes waiting. Once we had got into our room and checked in we went down to the pool to check the availability and there were no times within 2 hours of our arrival. This was too late as we had dinner reservations so I booked for the next morning. Only to walk down the next morning to see a sign that the pool and gym were closed till 12:30, which again was of no help as we had lunch reservations at 13:00. If we had've known that we would not get a chance to use the pool or gym, we would've saved our money and would've chose a cheaper hotel without such facilities. All of the employees were very polite at the hotel and the room was very nice (besides the clogged shower drain) therefore making this a 2 star review instead of a 1.

Wonderful experience with the staff here, especially Lina who made my birthday super special. Breakfast was good ! Rooms are super clean and bed comfy. Enjoyed the sauna a lot, that’s a bit small but they schedule it so it’s not too bad. Loved the free amenities like toothbrushes and what have you. 10min bus into town. Overall a great experience and value - would do again.

Nice, modern hotel with great food in both restaurants! Top quality! The rooms come in many different categories, so you have to look carefully to see what suits you best. One of the double room categories even includes a third bed, so you don't have to take the smaller family room with 2 double beds. The staff are friendly and had a lot of trouble with us because one of us got sick and we extended the stay including a new room. Unfortunately, communication between each other doesn't seem to work so well; sometimes the employees don't even know each other. Large parking lot and okay price but NO charging option for electric vehicles in 2024. Great steak restaurant.

Power outage at time of stay. Hotel did not supply any time of compensation for not being able to take a shower or use electricity. Just handed out free bottles of water. Could have been dealt with better. Beautiful hotel, comfortable. Long walk to the room and room service did not clean / take away dirty cups and glasses, which we found odd.

Very disappointing experience. Booked for three but they didn't have the foresight to leave three cups or three towels in the room. Shower totally blocked because of inadequate maintenance that the high room prices presumably fund. We lost an hour of our time waiting for it to be cleared and then for housekeeping to clean the bathroom. For the inconvenience we asked for a partial refund, 20 or 30% seems reasonable as the room didn't meet our expectations but all we got was an offer of some drinks and to forego the parking charge. To pay £180+ for an inadequate experience is totally unacceptable. Had a tour organised in town that we will probably now miss. Laughable response from the hotel to genuine customer disappointment.

Not really in Oxford a good 2 mile out - food very expensive! but the one that made it really rubbish for me is that it’s costs for parking your car and there is no car chargers for EVs - what a load of rubbish! will not be returning

I stayed here 2 nights, om the Friday the fire alarm kept on ringing constantly on and off for 30 minutes. Which I can understand stuff happens. What I don't understand is how a hotel power cuts out for 7hours and they don't even have a generator. Even the Oxfordshire Golf Hotel and Spa has a generator. I heard hotel staff say it was only going to be out for 15 minutes a wonderful lie that was. Then I go down for breakfast and as soon as I rock up the woman says there some items won't be here because of the power outage yesterday. I said ok that's fine. It was not fine there was no meat at all, she could have atleast said it was a vegetarian breakfast for the day and I would have asked for a refund for the breakfast. Terrible staff and terrible stay

I would like to express my thanks to Anna and her colleagues at the reception. From the moment I arrived, after a long and tiring wait, Anna went above and beyond to accommodate my requests. Her warm and attentive service made a significant difference in my experience. I truly appreciate her dedication and professionalism.

We stayed from July 3-5, 2024. The hotel is clean enough but the carpets have stains in many places. Front desk not helpful on check in. Didn’t notice we had a cart full of luggage and offer any help. Like hey, we have no lift and you have to go down 2 flights of stairs. The bathrooms are clean but very tight. Breakfast was good. Dinner in dining room was good as well. Kind of silly to have to make reservations when there’s no one there. Not close to anything.

The Leonardo Oxford Hotel, if called four stars, fails to meet expectations due to the absence of elevators, the problem is worsened by false information on booking sites that claims the existence of this facility. This means guests have to carry heavy suitcases down long corridors and stairs, not having the accessibility and comfort expected from a hotel of this category. My experience was negative. It is extremely important that the hotel corrects information on booking websites, considers installing elevators and offers an efficient luggage loading service while these improvements are not implemented. The rooms have some areas without maintenance (according to photos).

We stayed here on 25th May but haven't been overly impressed by the hotel or service. The reception area looks great but we only had a standard room and the stairway leading to the room was full of linen, plus a radiator cover that looked like someone had put a boot through it. This didn't leave a great first impression. The room was ok but there were several stains on the carpet. The location is great with easily bookable taxis into Oxford you can book using a computer in reception. We decided to return to the hotel and enjoy a few drinks in the bar after our day in Oxford but unfortunately there was a wedding reception taking place with quite a rowdy ensemble of guests. There was smashed glass at the entrance and the vibe didn't feel pleasant so we decided to go to bed early and miss out the bar which wasn't a nice end to the evening. This isn't really the hotel's fault but it did spoil our stay. In the morning we went down for breakfast but the queue was all the way down the stairs into reception and didn't appear to be moving at all, so we had to go back to our room for an hour until the rush had subsided. Unfortunately, I managed to leave two pairs of glasses in the hotel - one in the breakfast areas and one in our room. I must have called the hotel 20 times and only managed to get through 3 times. Twice I was promised a call back but none materialised. Today I have managed to get through to say they haven't found them. It's my own fault entirely for leaving them there but it really should not be that difficult to speak with someone or get an answer. When a duty manager promises to call you at 10am and doesn't that is unacceptable. I would expect a better experience but will not return..

Standard hotel, really nice main reception area etc and friendly staff. Feedback is I couldn’t get the temperature very cool. Room decent and clean with a comfortable bed! The location was fine for me as I was meeting friends locally, however if you are visiting as a tourist to see Oxford I would consider somewhere more central.

A lovely hotel, with a big lobby. It also had gym and swimming pool facilities which guests had to book Room was clean and spacious. Wedding reception/rooms to hire for larger events were available. Staff were friendly and helpful. A 10 minute taxi or a 1 hour walk into town along the canal.

I booked a room with them but when we checked in, the air conditioning in the room was not working, when I called the reception, the guy first said that they will get it fixed but then they called after 10 mins and gave some vague excuse that the hotel only has heating option and it can’t be used as air conditioning but there website clearly says that they have the air conditioning in each room. The guy was super rude and his attitude was “take it or leave it” type. Also the room was very small compare to what I paid and didn’t look like what was given in the picture. Would definitely not recommend this hotel and never staying there. Super terrible and very unhappy with the service.

Had a wonderful one night stay at this hotel. The staff were all so kind and helpful. They made our 1 year anniversary special with the extra touches. Will definitely be staying again and definitely recommend. Good parking for just £6 a night and close to the pear tree park and ride which is ideal for getting into Oxford.

Highly recommend, the staff are exceptionally kind, Yogev who was checking us in was extremely friendly, which instantly made us feel welcomed. The hotel in general has an incredible atmosphere and the rooms were great. The breakfast was my personal favourite with a wide variety of foods and nice dining area. The staff were also incredibly kind. Definitely would come here again. Thank you

The room was OK, very small though. Could do with a freshen up in areas. The bed was really comfy. The communal areas were beautiful and very appealing. The bar was average hotel prices and had a good menu that catered for meat/veggie/vegan. The MPW restaurant upstairs was basic and uninspiring for veggie/vegan options- the food was bland and basic. The steak was good but pricey. The spa was a let down. And only consisted of a small pool, a 3 seater sauna and a 3 seater steam room. No hot tub or anywhere to sit and relax. The gym looks extensive and well kept. We have had MANY hotel stays and this one just didn't live up to expectations for the price. We have stayed in cheaper hotels and thought much better of the experience than we did this one.
