Myself and my partner really like this hotel. The room is always clean, comfortable and cool. The air conditioning is good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Nearby to the City Centre, Theatre, Restaurants and Cinema. Would highly recommend.

We stayed at the Leonardo Hotel in Plymouth during a recent dive weekend, and overall had a great experience. The location is perfect - an easy walk to the harbour and plenty of nearby spots to eat and explore. The staff were genuinely lovely and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was a real highlight - plenty of choice, fresh, and a solid way to fuel up before a full day in the water. That said, there were a couple of niggles. Our room wasn’t cleaned on the second day, which was a bit of a let-down after a long day diving . Also, parking adds up fast at £10 per 24 hour - it’d be brilliant if the hotel could strike a deal with the car park to ease that cost for guests staying multiple days. All in all, a comfortable stay with lots of positives - just a few tweaks would take it from good to great!

Menu clearly states room service available 24hrs, yet when called up, openly admitted this "is not strictly true". Not the medium-high end hotel they claim to be. Typical British customer service, sub par to say the least.

Bathrooms could do with updating, TBF the rooms could do with updating generally. Decent bar and seating area. Breakfast was great. I would recommend that option when booking. I also had a pizza for lunch while I worked in the bar. The pizza was really nice. Staff seemed helpful enough, although no one seemed to be in the bar area around lunchtime. But when I went to reception and asked, they sent someone over to serve me. Handy location to get around.

We have stayed in this hotel on a number of previous visits but will never stay again. We bought our friends for a two night break and found the after hours bar and reception service to be atrocious. The bar was closed at 10:15 on the first night and 10:00 on the second. The bar person was still around but the lights were turned off while we were still sat in the bar finishing our drinks. The two guys behind reception were more interested in watching you tube Liverpool FC than their guests

We stayed at the Leonardo hotel in Plymouth whilst visiting family. The main entrance and the reception staff were lovely and welcoming however, our room wasn’t the best. There was a distinct smell of urine in the bathroom, and the bed had a musty smell to it. I will stay went downhill quite rapidly. We found some car keys on the floor in our room from previous guests I’m assuming and handed them into the reception. But this led me to wonder if the room was properly vacuumed. Our breakfast was average unfortunately my husband found a long black hair in his beans Which immediate then put him off. I did complain to a member of staff, but the young guy didn’t really know what to say so we just left it. The toilets were disgusting and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks. I mentioned this to reception staff and also mentioned how we were not happy and that we would like to speak to a manager, However, we were told that the manager was in a meeting. They took my contact details but never contacted us back. I asked for extras for our room which never turned up. I have added a photograph of the disgusting toilets. I would absolutely not recommend this hotel and will not be returning when we next come to Plymouth.

One of the best hotels I've stayed in. The staff were amazing and couldn't do enough. Nothing is too much trouble. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the bathroom spacious with lovely toiletries. This hotel has over 800 rooms, over 8 floors. My Room has twin double beds in it. An impressively large work space and TV stand, this seems purpose built. Also All of the double sockets has usb port integration as well as the standard UK three pin plug. There are tea making facilities in the room, which is replenished everyday along with room cleaning, if needed. Leonardo Hotel is ideally located on the outskirts of the city centre, and is served by several regular bus services. ' The hotel, has its own restaurant and bar, that serves an all-you-can-eat Breakfast., Which consists of both continental and full English breakfast

Decent rooms. There is little need to go for an upgrade offer as the smaller rooms are just that but equally as nice. Breakfast was nice but the fight with the lids to obtain the food was aggravating with no surface to place your plate down does need addressing. Parking is offered at a discounted rate but the signs at the pay station are confusing.. park and pay at the reception.

Avoid eating their breakfast as its often cold and hot selection not often refreshed. Orange juice always empty and no cups for coffee. None of the staff didn't warn about food allergies and with my allergies I know what to avoid. Bar food was such a disappointment as well. Most people eat around the corner where a few restaurants are or order just eat.

There was a car accident on the highway yesterday evening and there was a huge traffic jam. We arrived at the hotel around 11:00pm. We were already very tired and just wanted to take a good nap. However, because the air conditioner would turn off automatically, I would wake up from the heat every hour and had to turn the air conditioner on again. ; There was water on the floor of the toilet for a long time. If I didn't clean it, there would be water leakage. After I wiped it, there was water again. The sound insulation was very poor. At 8:30, someone tried to open the door of my room. I was shocked. I reported the incident to the female staff at the front desk and the maintenance staff It was a problem with the computer version of the head office. The air conditioner would go off automatically. I didn't want to have to get up every hour to turn on the air conditioner for the next two nights, so I asked if I could cancel the room for the remaining two nights and get the money back, so we could move to another hotel. The waitress readily agreed and said that the refund would take 5-7 working days, and she was very sorry. So we immediately found another hotel, picked up our luggage and checked out, and the manager (Ben ), there was no refund. The female staff member who promised us had already left work. At first, the manager didn’t even look at it. The female staff member wrote down the arrangements for us to check out, and asked us to ask multiple times for a first-come-first-served basis. That notebook, after reading it, I will not refund the money! Does your hotel have any integrity? What you promised doesn't count. If you didn't offer a refund at the beginning, I wouldn't book another hotel. Then I booked another hotel to show off my money, and you refused to refund me! My daughter tried very hard to communicate with the manager (Ben), hoping that he would understand that the female staff member agreed to refund our money before we transferred to the hotel. However, the manager looked down on my daughter the whole time, making her cry in embarrassment! Because she is young! ? Because she's Asian? Because she's female? Your hotel manager is very rude and racist!

We were told the room was superior but clearly it wasn't. Our friend booked the same level room (superior) and it was almost double the size - both the room and the bed. I have also stayed in superior rooms before and it was not the same. Complimentary drinks were not provided in the room until the day we left - so clearly this was an after thought. We did raise this with the manager at the time and he refused to do anything. All we wanted was to get what we paid for, don't think that's too much to ask. Sadly this has put us off using this hotel again, but the location is very good for those who want to risk it!

For this range of hotel chain, very bad experience and I ve been in another Leonardo's hotels. The trip was in February. The A/C was limited to 25°. When we get into the room, A/C was off, so the room was cold. Not a big deal, but on the next morning the room was proper cold, although I turned on the AC before I got into the bed. When I checked the A/C it was off. I spoke with the manager in the evening and explained me that when AC reaches the temperature it turns off automatically and doesn't turn on again as soon as temperature goes low. Ridiculous for the price we paid. The shower curtain in the bathroom was with some dirty red spots, like blood spots. The bathroom floor wasn't good either. When the water drop out from the shower (despite of the shower curtain) the water goes in front of the toilet and doesn't drain, it just creates a puddle. Very annoying early in the morning to put your foot in cold water trying to use the toilet. Breakfast....the hash browns were burned both mornings, although I complained the first morning to the supervisor responsible for the breakfast. There wasn't very big choice neither for the price of £15 per person, per night. Definitely not worth the money. Overall very bad experience with this hotel.

Disappointing!! Did two days of training here, and the room was tiny, poorly lit, and not very well set out. Lunch was a shambles on day one , with most of us ( having paid for a lunch to be included) ended up going out to grab food from the city centre. I requested clarity on parking two days prior and was sent parking info for a hotel in Exeter!! The coffee machine area wasn't kept clean by staff. No one seemed to be able to smile ( apart from the young lad who brought us our food and pitchers of water. The chef did apologise on day two, and food was vastly improved then, but overall, not a great two days spent here, so I wouldn't recommend a stay.
