Leon in Lincoln

Massive chunks of carrots, onions and celery and i mean the size of a golf ball or bigger subbing meat for veg - very clever to bulk (big allergy and not stated on menu for this dish like others) compared to tiny slither strips of meat, the chow mein is dry and doesnt come with beansprouts or sauce, more veg than anything else, mongolian lamb full of bones yet again should state this on menu as may include bones. had half onion in curry, again full of carrot, onion and celery. salt and chilli chips is not what other takeaways are selling - plain chips with tiny slithers of chillis, no taste of the proper salt and pepper chips with the seasoning, onions peppers, spring onions that are out there at all, chow mein needs to have the sauce i cant emphasise enough as its just plain noodles with no taste

Having previously given a five star rating it is disappointing to see Leon takeaway in Newport go down hill. Over the past 2.5 years or so we have been regularly getting takeaways from here, pleased at the variety of vegan options. More recently the quality has been quite variable but yesterdays purchase will be our last. Having ordered 4 meals, and 4 portions of rice, got home to find one of the fried rice dishes was missing. Rang to mention it, and the man who took, and repeated my order back to me, said I'd ordered the wrong thing and it wasn't missing. Then proceeded to tell me, and a family member, they couldn't cook food for free (they weren't asked to), but we could go and purchase another portion of the rice which was missing (even though we had already paid for it). Not keen to pay twice for one dish, or be inconvenienced going out for another dish, whilst the rest of the food was going cold. Really poor customer service but has since found this is not a one off sadly. Will be checking out The Golden Dragon that comes well recommended

I wish people knew how lucky we are to have an amazing vegetarian chinese restaurant like this in Lincoln.

Quite simply the best vegan Chinese food I have ever had. Massive vegan selection we visit almost weekly its so good! A must try for Lincolnshire vegans.

Sub standard Chinese food what ended up in the bin! Never ever again … Lincoln takeaways especially Chinese are of the poorest quality, travelled the world and this is 1/10 at best. Anyway, not happy to throw £30 pound in the bin , but we live and learn.

On Saturday 12th September, we invited my husbands parents to come to our house for a Chinese takeaway with our children and their spouses. Leon’s is one of the only Chinese takeaways that cater for vegans and vegetarians fully, many offer dishes but they are simply meals with the meat element left out – Leon’s however use meat alternatives such as seitan. Our order comprised of £74.00 of both vegetarian and meat dishes. We asked to collect at 7.15pm. On arrival the food wasn’t ready – we waited until 7.50pm for our order. On getting home none of the dishes where labelled so we had no idea what was what and more importantly which where the none meat dishes. Some of the dishes were satisfactory but other disgusting – there was one dish we couldn’t decide what it even was – it smelt like fish (we’d ordered nothing with seafood) but in batter and another dish, had what looked like battered flat thing with texture of kitchen scouring pad!! Complete waste of money and spoilt the night – which was the first night we spent with them since they went into isolation in February, due to both grandparents being vulnerable to Covid. As they had not tried to apologize for the lateness, didn’t bother complaining about the actual order. Don’t waste your money – go elsewhere

Alright if you are prepared for a long wait. Felt sorry for driver not his fault! Delivery perfect but everything else awful. Have ordered many times before but really deteriorated. Won’t be ordering again.

We recently discovered Leon after they did a leaflet drop in the village. Between us we have tried many of the vegan dishes and never been disappointed. The food is always hot on collection, well made and flavourful with generous portions. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed our vegan set menu meal plus noodles with bean sprouts... especially the ‘duck’ in black bean sauce, and the ‘chicken’ satay. Probably wouldn’t rush to have the sweet and sour again as it was very artificial tasting, but would have to say the veg all tasted very fresh and crisp and we will definitely order again! Service was quick and friendly...

So tasty! The best curry ive had in Lincoln. This modest little takeaway is truly a hidden gem, I can honestly say I enjoyed every mouthful. The curry sauce was so good and there was a lovely mix of chunky vegetables in the curry as well as generous amounts of chicken. Highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyed our takeaway tonight. Very impressed with the vegan options! A huge amount of choice! The food was delivered so quickly, within half an hour and it was piping hot and really lovely!!

Got a flyer through the door in the week stating Leon was under new management. As well as the usual dishes, they have a massive page of veggie options, including veggie/vegan duck, chicken, fish and tofu. The order did take a while to be delivered but, we did order £90 worth of food and we were told it would be a while on the phone, and then were contacted by the restaurant to let us know they were really busy and it'd be a little longer. The food arrived, everything was correct, piping hot and delicious Will definitely be going back here!!

I’ve been going to Leon’s for years and I can honestly say I’ve never had a bad takeaway. The chow mein is the best I’ve had! King prawns, duck, char Sui pork, squid, chicken dishes all fantastic. Would recommend highly.

Friendly staff, quick service, clean take away serving top quality food in big portions! Will be returning!

This takeaway is just super, not only amazing food but big portions for the price. The dishes prices are average for Chinese food but the portions are so much larger. Keep it up guys.

Absolutely amazing, restaurant quality food. We won't go anywhere else now! Food tastes very fresh, can't recommend it enough.

Having been to a few chinese take aways in the area Leon's is by far the best. Fast, efficient and very friendly service. I would recommend this Chinese take away to anyone over ther others in the area.
