Leon in Leeds

Called in for a quick bite to eat and was over the moon there was a Leon. I had the paprika wrap and baked fries and really enjoyed it. The restaurant was nice and clean and the staff friendly.

Called in today with my kids. This was our first visit to Leon. I ordered a paprika wrap, baked fries and chicken nuggets. The restaurant was busy but the service was fast. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and certainly can't complain about the service from the team. Well done Leon skelton lake we will be returning !

Says it closes at 7pm and already closed at 6:15pm. Why is Leon the only fast food place that closes early

Front staff polite and helpful checked if I could order crispy chicken at 8:30pm but either manager or cook was too busy on his phone to reply. Even when told a second time it’s for a customer still could not be bothered

The gentleman that served my husband, my son and I was very polite and accommodating. Lovely manners with a friendly bubbly personality. Food absolutely divine. We got humous, flatbread and slaw which were all clearly homemade. The gentleman even gave my son a treat. Will definitely be visiting Leon again and using their recipe books.

Really really good customer service from the guy on the front desk, the food came quickly and was very good.

£7.99 for a chicken wrap only slightly bigger than a £1.49 wrap from KFC, food portion size really needs looking at!! Value for money is really not there, it's a very basic wrap....

Always come for the breakfast, but enjoy the other dishes too. Really enjoy the coffee, it’s nice and fresh. Staff are very polite and friendly! Would recommend

I came to the services after quite a challenging morning. I had never been to a Leon before so had no idea what to order. After speaking with T I went for a selection. They gave the best service, helpful and friendly and the food came quickly.

First time visiting this service area. It was very modern, clean, and laid out with plenty of seating and a good choice of eating and drinking options. The toilets were very clean and well maintained. The parking was plentiful. I was surprised it was not very busy considering it was a lunchtime. Would definitely recommend you stop if you are near Leeds on your journey. It was accessible by both sides off the motorway as it was built off to the side in a lovely green space near a lake.

We had no other better choice. Ok place. Expensive

Excellent selection of fast food restaurants. Very airy space, never seen it overly crowded. Nice viewing area and rspb facilities. Good place to stop.

First time here, one of the best services will use again

Devoured a sausage McMuffin this morning from here, it was definitely edible however I must say it was very standard for its pricing. My brother got a sausage and egg and like me he thought it was just very standard for it’s pricing however the kind staff went to great lengths to put barbecue sauce on our sandwiches despite it not being an option so I would have to credit the staff for that.

LEON at Skelton Lake is fantastic - wide selection of delicious drinks and food. Service was a little slow but well worth it.

Great place to stop off and get some really good food

Friendly staff and service was pretty quick. I ordered crispy korean chicken wrap for a quick bite. The flavour of the chicken was nice, however, it was a bit confusing. The chicken itself supposed to be crispy, but then serving it inside the wrap makes the crispy chicken becomes soft and lost its crispy texture. I think the management really need to think again, do they really need to serve crispy chicken in a wrap.

A bit slow to take the order despite being quiet.

One of the best motorway services we've been to. Spacious, well appointed, lots of food choices at reasonable prices. Relaxed atmosphere, choice of seating areas inside and outside. Recommended.

Exclusive healthy fast food. Rice boxes, wraps and burgers.

First time that we had stopped at these services. Has a burger King, KFC, Clean public toilets. Areas to sit and have Coffee,Food, etc. Also has a Ramada Hotel. Large parking area, Disabled spaces to the front of services and Hotel. Prices are average for a Service Station.

I always enjoy a stop off at Leon as they are a far better alternative to other fast food on offer. I was driving back from North Yorkshire and couldn't resist a pit stop for one of their chicken burgers. I found the service a little unorganised as I tried to order my food, not sure whether the guy serving was new or just having an off day. Nonetheless my food arrived relatively quickly and I was eager to tuck in. The chicken burger was very nice, with tender chicken breast and the brioche bun which I enjoyed. The fries however were especially hard, almost like they had been cooked and then sat out a long time. Despite this I will be returning next time I'm near a Leon again.

Food is amazing, staff are lovely, baby drew is always welcoming customers, always smiling happy chatty, goes above and beyond to help people, such a great worker well done baby drew keep up your good hard work 🙂

Have been told at 7:20pm that a halloumi wrap will take 15 minutes because it’s nearly the end of the day. The restaurant is empty.

Great, conveniently positioned service for us to stop at en route. Fresh, clean and spacious. Not the bestest of ideas to put the public toilets RIGHT AT THE BACK.

No more GF Love Burger on the menu. Shame.

We've visited Leon a few times and it's a bit hit and miss. The Chrismassaman Curry is amazing! But other times we've been and it wasn't so good. The service was OK but the guy serving took a few goes at getting the order correct. But, to finish on a positive, the Turkey Chrismassaman is absolutely outstanding!

30 December at that location was miserable - they were understaffed, people were cranky and they were running out of everything. So this review isn’t for management but for the crew that managed to make the food to standard, and stayed calm and polite. Well done

I never expect a lot in a motorway services so I was really pleased to get a fine coffee and muffin with avocado and halloumi. Not cheap at 5.99 but probably par for the course. And it was a healthy choice. Id go here again.

Zero communication between the kitchen staff and the front of house. We were told a ten minute wait on food, no problem it’s busy. 12 minutes later when a member of staff checked our receipt and asked the kitchen to do a bubble and squeak wrap, the kitchen replied “10 minute wait on bubble and squeak, make sure to tell them Lyn” Yep it was ordered 12 mins ago shouty kitchen staff, check your attitude please. I’m still stood waiting now and I can see my chicken burger waiting on the gantry so that’ll be lovely and dry in about half an hour when I get it. Gutted we avoided better traffic routes because we wanted a Leon especially. You’d think this was everyone’s first day working here. It’s honestly not that hard to have a system in place.

I have been coming here since it opened to get my gluten free burgers since not many fast food places cater to begin gluten free but on the past few occasions I was told they had sold out of gluten free buns, I have just been again and have now been told by the server that gluten free buns are no longer available and that this is a decision made by management and that Leon's will no longer be serving gluten free buns. I am extremely disappointed that you have made this decision

We've been to a few Leon sites, but this one is definitely the best - friendly staff, fast service with a clean and welcoming dining area. The new menu is a great as well - we had the rice boxes which were fresh and tasted great.

Motorway services just off the M1, first visit whilst on our travels through Yorkshire. Plenty of parking availability, fuel station on site, inside several take-away/dine in options with toilet facilities. Clean and well presented.

Disappointed. 2 burgers and 2 sides for £21. It took ages as the guy serving the food had to make around 7 complicated drinks and couldn't actually serve the food. Noticed mine on the shelf for ages before receiving it, all cold by the time I got to the table. I was expecting great things. Vegan loaded fries looked a bit sad.

The food was not made fresh and was very dry. I’m not sure how long it had been stood. I don’t feel the service from the staff was great as well.

Cold and dry. Looked great on the picture. Really disappointed.

Only one vegan sausage breakfast burger left and NO hash browns. They said it was because it was near to changeover for lunch menu. It was 10am 😑 Breakfast doesn’t finish until 11am. Sausage burger was one patty and a bit of green stuff....where was the hash brown and vegan cheese? Porridge was lukewarm and tasteless. Come on....I can do much better at home! Usually love Leon and go all the time but not had breakfast here before. All in all, this is possibly one of the worst breakfasts I’ve ever had. Even having to go to McDonalds and having a hash brown sandwich beats this pathetic attempt. AND it cost 14 quid 😲 Won’t bother again. Edit: the response from Leon doesn’t address that there was only one vegan breakfast burger available (which was tasteless and super-boring) and so I had to have porridge which looked and tasted like sick 🤢 WHY is it that I can do better at home (and see so many vegan insta posts of people who can also do much better) than big organisations with access to tons of resources, paid chefs and people to design their menus?

Hgv parking ok just busy so get in quick garage shop ok parking expensive they know you can't take an 8 hour rest but insist on 8 or 15 for fee's bit of a con

Had the love vegan burger and loaded potatoes - very nice, service very friendly, only waited a few mins, burger was very slippy I think because the cheese hadn't melted, if the burger had been a touch hotter it would have melted, but tasted gorgeous and I'm a meat eater 😉 will use again.

The foods great, however there’s a big problem with waiting times. Myself and my wife had been waiting for a Lental Masala and a burger. Initially they got my order wrong so had to wait further. Once it arrived it had a Piece of plastic in it. It was clear plastic so was very difficult to see at first. It could have ended very badly if someone where to Ingest We had it replaced and they apologies but it’s clear this branch is struggling with staffing levels. Not happy!!!

To start off we had a bad experience right from the moment of ordering, rude staff on the till (wasn't the chap who was serving us the problem) but another member of staff. Orders are hard to hear and then got it wrong. Need a better system like other fast food outlets where the number is shown on a screen. Food tasted alright.

Lovely throwback to when me and my other half went to London a couple months ago! Just as delicious in Leeds as it is down south! Thank you for lovely, fast and delicious service! (In my significant others words “Leon takes fast food to another level”) 😍 10/10

Over 10 minutes waiting with only two others ahead of me in the queue. Ordered a double espresso. Was told 'I'll call you when your order is ready'. There was nobody else behind me yet the guy just stood and stared at me until I stepped back. The drink itself suspiciously long to make. After another 3 or 4 minutes I received a double double espresso. I like a strong coffee but come on! Waste of time and money (and coffee)

Service was good however the food was shocking. Anemic chicken, undercooked rice that taste like it hadn't been washed. Very poor, never again

Worst Leon I've ever been to. Food was so poorly cooked. We had some roast aubergine, a vegan Mexican burger, fish finger wrap, grilled sweetcorn, and waffle fries. All of it but the fries done badly.

Three stars because when we got the food, it was lovely. Service however was dreadful. I've always found it helpful if the vendor tells you if your order is going to take a while - it's at a service station, generally most users have to be somewhere - not here tho. Not all of the breakfast options were available and when asked how much longer the order [for 6 people - it's not like we were a coach load] was going to take [we're not talking 5 or even 10 minutes] a shout from the kitchen area came through along the lines of "it will take as long as it takes." It was a quiet Sunday morning without a queue so hardly rush hour or rushed off their feet. Plain rude. Nevertheless, after some discussion we were given vouchers by way of an apology so you can't argue with that. Very kind indeed but wouldn't have been necessary if the attitude hadn't have happened. They just need to show some integrity and some manners.

Decent real food for a motorway service stop. Yes it relatively expensive but everything is on the motorway.

Our go to place for travel food, their breakfast is incredible, have driven out to the services just for that at times! The vegan offerings on the main menu are beaut!

Don’t like to leave bad reviews but this was truly awful. I wouldn’t eat here again if they paid ME the £12. I feel violated

A refreshing slant on breakfast. Very tasty. Very pleasant and helpful young gentleman on my visit. Only the typical motorway service area prices stop me giving 5 stars

Turned away at 10:54 for breakfast menu. No lunch menu available either. Don’t say you serve breakfast until 11 if it’s taken off before then.
