Really lovely quality fish, freshly cooked while you wait. Nice crispy chips too, good portion size, good value for money. Would definitely recommend.

Really nice fish and chips, good quality Cod in lovely light batter and a good size too. The chip were crispy and portion was generous, plenty for two people.

Terrible attitude, bad customer service, feel bad but 2 older people with no service skills to provide for a larger area of willing customers, disappointed tje local chippy is where it is, hopefully taken over sooner rather than later to give better dinners for all local, lady is more concerned at one stop trading her lottery tickets and cards, says it all for food quality and service received, sadly will not go ever again until they trade hands, go to the shop opposite the garage for better quality and caring service

Traffic was absolutely dreadful over road works home very late due to it , decided to walk 15 minutes to get cod, haddock and chips, every thing was just perfectly done nice and hot even though walk 15 minutes back, really great meal.

Lovely food, nice and hot, friservice, big portion and good value. Would highly recommend, also do great kids meal.

We were looking for a new fish and chip shop.. this is the second time we have used this take away and it’s amazing, clean and non greasy when you get it home.. the fish is cooked while you wait and is very fresh..

Fantastic quality, friendly andvwarm people running the shop who obviously care about the quality of the food they serve. Also just a few minutes from Jn 9 of M25. Will definitely stop here again.

Ordered via phone, good prices and great quality food. Portions are good (1 Large Cod and 1 Large Chips is plenty for 2 adults) and lovely small touches like a wedge of lime with the Cod. Everything was wrapped in Paper and all eco friendly.

Both the Fish & Chips stale, dry, hard. Husbands burger not overly good. Only good thing was they were open on Sunday but won't be returning.

Although it doesnt look much outside, it clean and the food is fantastic. We jave tried sevwral fish and chip shops around Lhd and Ashtead area and this place always wins. Nice fresly made chips and lovely home made chilli sauce on the donner meat..if thats what u like. Fish also awsome. Other places over priced and small portions.

I live over the road from this shop so you can imagine how many times I’ve been! The warmest and friendliest service! Fantastic food every time! And always so accommodating! Would highly recommend to anyone!

OMG! The fish was good but the chips we got was stale, cold and hard crumbs! I will not be back!

Came in on a Sunday as my local one is closed that day. Quite a big mistake, the chips were mushy, the batter on my fish and soggy, and overall the quality is just very poor. In addition, the lady serving had a rude manner, and when the phone rang and she was serving a customer she cursed the phone saying stop ringing I'm busy. Most bemusing. Anyway, there are quite a few good chippies in the area, this isn't one of them.

Amazing food served by the nicest people. Just moved to the area and they have been a life saver. Their donner meat is incredible. Never had such a good kebab and chips and savoloy are just as good.

Ordered a large fish and chips and received a perfectly battered and fried large cod fillet (not a slim tail). Very tasty however a bit pricey with no drink sauce or proper takeaway container.

Fortunately for us Lemon Plaice Fish & Chips was open on a Sunday, our other local fish place wasn't. So we ordered two large cod and chips, at a reasonable price. Food was hot as expected, not overly greasy and overly battered, also the lemon provided we drizzled on the fish was a real compliment to the meal. All in all we were impressed, and therefore will be happy to return again.

Stunning! Very fresh, very tasty and we'll presented. We will be back and it is around a 25 minutes journey for us, but very well worth it! Thank you Lemon Plaice.

This fish and chips shop is a real hidden gem. New management really take pride in what they serve. Here you will find very generously sized fish, cooked to perfection - tender and succulent, full of flavour too. Batter is also really nice, not hard and greasy like you can find in other places. To me it was a real treat, and now this little shop is in my to-go list.

Got my take away home (approx 1 Min drive ) food was cold. Rang to let them know and was told you couldn’t have come in 2 mins ago as we had no customers even tho there were 5 people in there while I was waiting a used me of lying then said it must be because I put vinegar on them. Previous owners were so friendly first experience with the new owners not great rang to let them know got a used of lying and shouted at down the phone by the lady owner

To start off with, the customer service was as if my friends and I were doing something wrong, when in fact, we had literally just walked into the shop. My friend put a single wrapper in the bin, and the lady inside the shop swore at my friend by telling him to F*** off, which is the rudest I've ever seen staff. When the lady had finally stopped randomly shouting at us all, we decided to try and leave to find somewhere else to eat, but the same lady told us that we needed to take the wrapper out of the bin, so then even when we respected that, she still was swearing under her breath and that made us feel very violated. We were disrespected, we were offended, we were violated, and all for what? I would never recommend this place to any single person I know, online or offline. Please never go to this place, this doesn't represent Leatherhead very well, perhaps it's not to be here, and must be indeed replaced and demolished by Royal Chicken, because I would prefer the longer walk to be able to get that meal rather than getting food poisoning, which in all honesty did happen when some of my other friends went there. Still, the shop used to be alright, just not anymore.

We have used the Lemon Plaice for a couple of years now and I have to say the quality of the food and the tireless efforts of the staff who seem to never stop working don’t go unnoticed. The fish has its skin taken off which a lot of places don’t bother with and the battered sausage is the best I have ever had. I would never use another fish and chip shop and can’t recommend this place enough x

Despite the name, lemon Palace, no lemons segments are given with any orders. On top of this the chicken we received was pink and slimy, altogether a true disappointment and a waste of money.

It's a bit shabby but the food isn't bad

Now the best chippie in Leatherhead. They do really good 1/4 lb-er and 1/2lb-er burgers and nice chicken nuggets that are real chicken not all beak n feet. And they are really friendly and helpful.
