Leman Street Tavern in Tower Hamlets

Reservé una mesa para un grupo de amigos en la habitación separada junto al bar principal. Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra comida, que fue servida rápidamente por el personal amable y atento. Al final, pudimos pagar individualmente, a pesar de que éramos un grupo bastante grande.

La taberna que visité era una verdadera joya escondida en la ciudad. Al entrar, me recibió el ambiente acogedor y la luz cálida. Lo que realmente hizo este lugar especial fue el servidor llamado Kat. Desde el momento en que nos recibió, se sintió como si estuviéramos visitando a una amiga. Kat era increíblemente amable y atento. Ella se tomó el tiempo para hablar con nosotros sobre las bebidas y nos dio grandes recomendaciones. Su entusiasmo era contagioso y nos hizo sentir a gusto de inmediato. Su sonrisa y genuino interés hicieron la experiencia aún más agradable. Aunque solo pedimos bebidas, el ambiente y el servicio de Kat era tan bueno que hizo que la experiencia fuera completa. Recomiendo encarecidamente esta taberna, especialmente si tienes la suerte de ser atendido por Kat. Su amabilidad y entusiasmo llevan la experiencia al siguiente nivel!

Visited here on Saturday with family. We had booked a table which was ready for us on arrival. We got served promptly and efficiently. The drinks selection is extensive & there are plenty of options (especially of low/no as some of us were doing Dry January!). The food arrived in good time and was delicious. I had Sausage & Mash and even saved some room for a pudding. Our server (didn't catch their name) was very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The ambience in the pub was lovely. Lighting/music was spot on. A lovely, cosy pub.. perfect for those cold nights!

Great place to hang out and play some games or just catch up. The couches and chairs make for a very convivial gathering. We had dinner for 10 in the private room; service was great and made for a very enjoyable evening. Shout out to Simon and Kat for waiting on us and organizing!

We had Xmas lunch here, 17.12.24. Whilst the service was good and the staff were great the same cannot be said for the food. The beef was still raw and I had to send it back, I was not asked how I want my beef cooked at the start which is unusual. We also send the pigs in blankets back as the bacon was not crispy and appeared undercooked and unappetising. The vegetables was hard and therefore must have been undercooked. The gravy was some concoction of oil and tomato which I must admit I have never seen on a plate of roast dinner, it was very underwhelming. I was told by the manager this is the recipe they received from the head office and they must adhere to it. We were all so much looking forward to our family pre Xmas meal, but it was not to be. At this point we gave up the will to live and did not want to send the veg back either. So we just stuck with it but certainly did not enjoy it. At £45 for a 3 course meal you come to expect more. I felt sorry for the service staff and the manager as he tried his best to lessen the blow by discounting 3 drinks and the service charge. The total food bill came to £159 for 3 roast dinners and 4 side dishes. Ultimately this is down to the chef and the kitchen. I have eaten here before and the food was good, not sure what happened?

Had a wonderful experience the food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the service was top-notch. A special thanks to our waitress, Sandra, who was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made our evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!"

I am extremely fussy with my food. I must say Leman Street Tavern is outstanding the food is such high quality. The Ambience is perfect, all staff have professional attitude and go above and beyond to make your experience extra special. This place doesn't get 5 stars it gets 6 stars if that existed and the staff -should be an example to all out there how a restaurant/ bar should be run - a special mention to the following - Chris Bowman & anyone else who helped with out table! - You all deserve to be rewarded for making us feel at home! We will be back very soon ! Make sure you visit this extra special place!

All good food. Welcoming staff. Good range of drinks. Immaculate toilets. Just a little cool and empty on a Saturday. Would definitely go back but on a weekday when it might be more lively.

Dan and the team at Leman St Tavern looked after us so well for our all-day team meeting. Food was really high quality, both at lunchtime and with the sharing platters after work. We were well supplied with teas, coffees and water throughout the day, and enjoyed some very nice cocktails in the sofa area for the evening. El mejor lugar para tomar unas copas gracias al mejor camarero que hemos tenido - Kimon. Era tan atento, accesible y divertido, que realmente hizo nuestra noche especial! ¡Este hombre merece un aumento de sueldo!

Stopped into Leman Street Tavern to work for the day. Beautiful space where the staff were very attentive keeping me topped up with teas and coffees all day! I had a ceasar salad for lunch which was delicious, so nice to work somewhere different with such friendly staff.

I came here with my 1.5 year old for lunch, the atmosphere was amazing and child friendly. The staff were super friendly, gave great service and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place and absolutely come back

Nice place and friendly staff. However the food was awful. My husband had fish and chips which were burnt and the mushy peas were tasteless and watery. Both my daughter and I had sausage, mash and gravy. The mash was overloaded with pepper, the gravy was runny and oily and the sausages had a strange soft texture.

Went here for dinner and a drink with a friend, will never come here again. Avoid Leman Street like the plague. The food was awful. Restaurant was overcrowded and service was slow, fish and chips were microwaved and cold. Bar manager was very rude. Disappointed is not the word.

Lovely venue for a couple of drinks, decor is good. Didn't eat so cannot comment. The bar staff were friendly. Would return.

Posto collocato a due passi da Alie Street, bello, ma incredibilmente rumoroso e caotico, nell'allegria generale tipica dei pub inglesi e non solo, essendo questo una via di mezzo fra pub e ristorante. Scarsa scelta di birre (solo un paio di qualità, fra cui la Guinness; quasi tutte sotto i 6 gradi); la Lonza (21 sterline!) ben rosolata, ma duretta, con salsa di senape e burro (!) e patatine; il Plant based burger, squisito (17 sterline!)...

Great vibe.. even on a Monday! Stayed for a few drinks with a. Work party was good music and fun drinks. We stayed for a while and staff were friendly and attentive.

It was a quiet Tuesday evening but both the staff and the food were exceptional. Friendly and helpful.

This is a nice space, quiet on a Sunday lunchtime and I can't fault the staff at all. My crab pate starter was very tasty. But the Sunday roast was awful - unmemorable Wellington, watery veg and .. well how can you make roast potatoes unpleasant? It's a shame.

Hosted us in the private dining room for a stag do. staff were really accommodating and the food was excellent. Highly recommended.

Great after work and dinner venue ! I know how difficult it is to get 15 people fed and watered round this neck of the woods so I booked ahead and was really surprised at the private dining availability at the Leman Great service as we started off outside on the patio and even better service when we moved in for our splendid dinner. I use this bar at least once a week and will continue do so as it's a great food venue as well as a superb pub

Ampio locale con diversi tavoli anche all'aperto. Locale a suo modo caratteristico con musica di sottofondo (Rock and Roll) Abbiamo provato l'hamburger (buono), fish and chips (che non mi è particolarmente piaciuto: sa solo di fritto). Abbondanti le quantità Ottima birra Servizio attento e cortese; il locale è ben più di un pub. Merita provarlo

We stopped in for some dinner before going on a Jack the Ripper tour. We were pressed for time due to the tour so couldn’t finish it all, but really enjoyed the Sunday Roast! It was delicious!

Has to wait over 30 minutes for drinks and then ordered food had one meal missing and by the time meal came most of us had finshed

Our first meal was actually meant to be just lunch. We expected to grab a bite with a friend and then move on for a day of long overdue catching up. We stayed for five hours. Lunch, then snacks and drinks and dessert (and ok more drinks). The staff were chill, friendly, didn't ever make us feel as if we were hanging out too long. And the food was spot on! Trout - perfect. Fish and chips - excellent. Pork lion - moist and perfectly prepared. Cobbler was sharable, sticky toffee pudding wasn't overly sweet. We are from a "foodie" city in the States so we're a little particular. We stayed two weeks in London and went back to the Leman Tavern eight times, not because they were convenient, but because they were good. Their Sunday roast is lovely (and huge). Every meal was fabulous. By the third night the staff remembered our drinks and greeted us like friends. They became our "local" for our visit and we would happily recommend them.
