Xmas set dinner was very good value for money, excellent choice for Starters, ( I could not decide between 3!) Mains and desserts. Irritation of the evening was the screaming 2 year olds which spoilt the atmosphere until they eventually left! Otherwise, Hosts were great fun and we did have a great time

A lovely boutique Bistro in the High Street. The food was excellent. We had a party of 12 and they catered for all our needs. The staff were friendly and professional. Highly recommend going here it’s fab

We came from Cambridge to visit my aunties, and they brought us to this fantastic restaurant. It's a medium size, homely, friendly restaurant. The effort that is made from the owner and all the staff is evident, from the greeting to the farewell! Delicious food, cooked to perfection, lovely friendly service. Great value for money with good quality food, and large portions

Nothing is too much trouble for this family run restaurant. Food and service is outstanding.

The owner was delightful to speak to, food was the best I've had for the price, starters were portioned amazingly and tasted spectacular, main steak was cooked to perfection, and all was perfect. Dessert was possibly the best waffle I've ever eaten in my life, no exaggerating. All around 10/10 would come back every time.

This family run restaurant offers some great food at a reasonable price, and the service is also very good. We had a fabulous evening with great food, good wine and a few brandies to finish.

Great food, great service and great value ,we live in Leigh, so have loads of options when we want to go out for food, but this is always top of the list.

Went for the early dinner at 5pm today. Fantastic food and service. All our food was hot and very tasty. Great value for money and excellent service always. Can recommend the pigeon breast starter, the sirloin steak and the nut roast. 👌

Excellent food, great family service, felt like we was on holiday. Have eaten in multiple Michellin starred ŕestaurants this is right up there. Reminded me of Roast Borough market, with med twist.

Food and staff were amazing, my favourite place to eat in Leigh , all at a very reasonable price.

Initially I had booked for a Friday evening however had to change it last minute to a Saturday evening. The staff were very friendly and helpful on the phone and very accommodating of the change. They managed to fit us in. On arrival the restaurant was full and buzzing - the staff were very friendly and Pedro recognised us from the phone call and was very charming. Pedro and his colleagues provided a wonderful experience and the food was delicious. All of the courses were beautifully prepared and flavoursome. We felt special and well looked after - a family meal with wonderful conversation and laughter - attributed to the atmosphere. My mother - a specialist in making prawn cocktail as a starter for family feasts rated the prawn cocktail the best she had ever had… For the wine I was welcomed to taste samples to choose from. The first red on the menu - 19Cabernet Merlot - wasn’t great (one to take off the menu in my opinion) so we chose the ‘21 Antiguo Fuerte Malbec Mendoza’ from Argentina. Complex tasty wine - a good accompaniment for the red wine. Dishes ranged from Tempura Pork - a ‘sweet and sour pork balls’ style dish with a spicy kick. Delish. The steaks were perfectly cooked, the fish tasted fresh and delicious and desserts were well received. Overall a super place to wine and dine with family and friends and service was comforting and fast despite the fact that the restaurant was full with a 30 yr birthday party celebration going on with a table of about 50 people!!! Highly recommended.

We came in not long before the kitchen was due to close and was still warmly welcomed, and well looked after. Amazing service and exceptional food.

Went to Leigh Bistro last night for dinner to celebrate a friend’s engagement 💍 It’s always been one of our favourite restaurants and once again it didn’t disappoint! The breaded sardines starter was delicious. I think it was part of the specials board but I hope it becomes a permanent fixture on the menu 😄 The sea bass has always been my favourite dish and it was the nicest I’ve ever had it. I think they might add garlic butter to it now. It tasted amazing! Lovely bottle of Whispering Angel with the meal, one of my friend’s favourite wines 🍷 Finished off with espresso martinis for dessert! Plus a complimentary limoncello 🍋 Gjovan was so lovely as always, as was the young waitress who was really polite and attentive. Looking forward to the next visit, and this time we won’t leave it so long! 😄

First time there for a family event 60 plus and still produced a very varied menu. The food was a very high standard and no one waited to be served. We will certainly go back to sample more good and reasonably priced delicacies.

What a lovely restaurant to visit. It is NOT, like so many Leigh restaurants, expensive, overpriced, and over pretentious but just serves very good food with care, attention to detail, and a smile. It is also great value. We will be back very soon.

Visited the Bistro yesterday with family, and what a lovely place. The food was excellent ( daughter said it was the best steak she has ever eaten) all presented lovely. The atmosphere was buzzy and the staff were very polite and helpful.This is definitely a go back to restaurant. Had an afternoon lunch a couple of days ago. Was beautiful food, really tasty, well cooked and good portions.

Excellent food & service could not fault it a really pleasant evening. Rib eye steak was perfect.

Really lovely place to eat. Staff were wonderful and the atmosphere was great. I'm vegan and had the tomato soup to start, the nut roast as a main and sorbet for dessert, as shown in the photos. Tasty food but if I could make one small suggestion it would be to find a new vegan dessert because sorbet doesn't count ;)

Went for a wonderful meal for our Wedding Anniversary. First time at Leigh Bistro and food was lovely, service good and staff very polite and friend. Would definitely recommend. We will definitely return again soon.

Only lost a star for the cold chips, they were nice, but cold. When I asked if they could warm them up, the lady said no. Probably a food health issue, but it wasn't stated why, and despite saying no to new chips as I wouldn't be able to eat a whole portion, a piping hot large chips arrived. Although very nice, it was a bit of a waste. The waiter was attentive and had a way of making you feel at home. Would I return, ..yes. but I would make sure I was a little hungrier as we struggled to eat it all.

I brought a family group of 18 for an early evening meal. The booking was easy to arrange. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. We had the December Menu but the kitchen was happy to provide specials (agreed in advance). The food is relatively simple with quality ingredients well cooked. The meals were delivered hot and at the same time and all the guests were complimentary about the quality. The wines were good and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

We visited early on a Wednesday evening so it was a little quiet, however the food and service were fantastic. There was a set 3 course menu for £24.99 which amply provided for all tastes, containing among other things soup, pate, prawn cocktail and pork belly tempura. Main choices included a turkey roast, lamb shank, steak, and sea bass. Deserts choices were great too. All the food chosen by the four of us was delicious... the only thing left on any of the 12 plates was a lemon! Drinks and wine were good value too. Service was friendly and professional. We'll definitely be back.

Came here for the second time in 2 weeks - on both occasions the welcome, food and service were excellent. This last time I was part of a big group and yet nobody had to wait for their meal, the quality of the food was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic. A lovely place to come to enjoy good quality food and at a reasonable price. Well done Giovan and staff and thank you! x

I rarely leave reviews but I had the best meal I've eaten in ages! Im not a big foodie but am not often very impressed and quite often disappointed. ut both starter and main were delicious! Also the staff member, may have been the owner I think, was really friendly and nice. The price for the weekday deal was very reasonable for such quality and I will definitely be returning to sample more of the menu.

We've just paid our first visit there and had a really good evening. They had a 3 piece group playing for a lot of the evening doing songs from 60s to 80s mainly and they went down very well with us and the other diners. As did the food. Our group of 6 had a variety of dishes and we all enjoyed them. I look forward to going again.

Stumbled across this place last Sunday lunchtime. So glad we did. Welcome was warm and inviting, the atmosphere was authentic, the staff were patient and attentive and the food was amazing. There were 6 of us and everyone said how much they enjoyed their chosen dishes. Portions were generous, tasty and well presented. Our daughter has just moved to the area, so we will be back. Don't take my word for it, go try for yourselves. 👍

Was gifted a groupon voucher for Leigh Bistro for my birthday. Checked on their website, the voucher and SAID ON THE RESERVATION THAT I WOULD BE USING THE VOUCHER. Turnt up and was refused service, the manager said it will say on here we don't accept it at this time so I gave him the voucher and he couldn't find it an d said regardless we aren't doing this now. Even though the restaurant was near enough empty. There was no mention of it anywhere, I double checked after but I thought if I stayed trying to get them to cook me food they would spit in it in all honesty as they were so unwelcoming. As of me writing this there is no mention of when you can use it and when you cant, anything that may mention it in future has been wrote after this review. I travelled 45 minutes to get here and wrote in the reservation I would be using and the manager just rudely said sorry we don't check them always, so what if I had an allergy they would of just missed it? Really appalling, staff was rude and restaurant was empty. If you have any allergies stay away as they clearly wont check your reservation.

Went for our wedding anniversary the food was great as usual my husband said it was the best steak he's ever had which I tasted I have to agree and I don't usually eat red meat. Seabass cooked to perfection and great service

We got a Groupon voucher as a gift and we had a two course meal here. There was a fair selection of vegetarian/fish dishes, the food was well present and very tasty, the staff were friendly and the atmosphere quiet but nice so we'll come again!

Have just celebrated my husbands 70th birthday today with our family. Cannot fault this restaurant at all. Made my husbands birthday just perfect. Even catered well for the grandsons Food and service were brilliant and we weren’t rushed at all. Will definitely return

It is such a lovely place to visit! They have such a selection of and the staff are always incredibly friendly. They allow dogs outside, and in the summer, it is beautiful! I always look forward to visiting and having the black pudding and goats cheese as well as the pigeon! I

Disappointing customer service. We eat here regularly, sometimes it's great, sometimes food can not live up to previous times but for the price it has always been reasonable and kept us coming back. We decided to buy a Groupon and booked on one of the less busy days (mid week) and had a family emergency. Tried to speak to the manager about this but he wouldn't have any of it. We spent hundreds every few weeks in the restaurant and decided to cut our losses, which is a real shame. Plenty of other restaurants in Leigh to go to.

Where can i start. me and my family love this place.1st time i came here was for my daughters birthday and it was sooo nice and very good indeed. the food is amazing and drinks lovely but the best thing is how they treat you, with kindness and so polite and welcoming. i have been here quite a few times now and we will return again soon. the food is 1st class and very well portioned. and very good ingredients also and you can really taste the love they cook with. thank you to all the staff and very friendly owner.

We really enjoyed our lunch yesterday We took my 93 year old mother for her birthday/mother's day - she found it a bit noisy (hence 4 stars, there just is nothing to mutt the noise and so a bit hard at her age) The place is nicely decked out and the staff all very friendly
