Lee's Chinese Takeaway in Richmondshire

I gave used this takeaway for years. I know everyone’s been moaning about it but I and my husband really fancied Chinese for tea I had it last month and it tasted Devine But last night I had my usual chicken rice and mushrooms in gravy and I found a hair in my rice which was over cooked and the mushrooms in gravy was disgusting mushrooms were not cooked and the gravy tasted like it was gravy granules

Lovely people and great food. We often use this Chinese and we enjoy speaking to the people who own it, and we are never disappointed with the food.

Absolutely no flavour at all. Chicken was either over cooked or from a 10yr old chicken!. Tough as. Sauce had no flavour. The whole thing was flavourless. Won't be going again. I binned it!! I've had to give a rating but I didn't want to!

My other half had the mushroom curry which was average. I had the lemon chicken, this consisted of burnt dry chicken breast in a fluorescent orange watery sauce. The only lemon taste you would get is if you ate the sliced lemon on top. The chilli chips were soggy and lukewarm The prices are reasonable but I would rather pay more though to get better quality

Oh dear, oh dear, spring roll, just the roll no filling, special curry - 1 piece of chicken, 1 piece of beef, 1 large prawn, 1 small prawn and a few bits of pork. Chicken balls were burnt and tasted like the 6 month old oil they were cooked in, mixed veg was like soup. Only thing that was ok was the boiled rice, but that’s difficult to get wrong. I’m not chinese but, I can cook chinese food better than that. I would not recommend this take away. Very poor.

Order was wrong food had no flavour, crispy chilli beef was unedible, total waste of money tossed it all in bin. AVOID

Great food, every time and good value. Not open on Tuesday and only takes cash no cheques or cards...

Probably the most miserable, tasteless meal I have ever had the misfortune to have experienced in my life. What would possess anyone to think that putting overcooked battered prawns into a thin, bland gravy was a good idea? Apparently there was some chilli in there but it must have abandoned ship. The result was some wierd slime covered creatures which didn't deserve to die to be treated like that. Chewy beef in "oyster" sauce and meat which I think was meant to be pork (chicken had been ordered) which had been battered then deep fried to within an inch of its existence. The sweet and sour sauce alone could have had them done under the trades description act as it was neither. Special fried rice which was, indeed, special. I'm only giving one star because it is really difficult to mess up prawn crackers. Utterly revolting.

The best Chinese in the area. Can’t fault it. It’s not open very late so you have you go earlier but the food is the best.

Unfortunately it wasn't nice. The duck for far from crispy it was very fatty. The sauces was watered down. Definitely won't be ordering again

Food was awful, watery tasteless sauce, unfriendly and unwelcome staff, public side was dirty and run down, walls covered in additional notices advising of do this, don’t do that, we’ll charge extra if you want to go off menu. Absolutely vile place

Great Chinese best in the area they do lovely chicken curry and special house chow mein we love it very yummy
