Lees in Wiltshire

We had lees fish and chips whilst on holiday and honestly the food was really nice, portions are nice and large and service in shop was good. Only annoying thing is this is a CASH ONLY store with only option for cash machines are a little drive away or Morrison's next door so cash back - was not told this over the phone but for anyone looking to get food from there that this isn't there local know it's really nice however is CASH ONLY - not advertised to us over the phone when ordering

Chips were dry/stale, fish was small and soggy in places. Platts is much better value for money and better quality.

Great service, excellent food choices , Overall a fantastic experience. Remember to bring cash ! No cards excepted in this establishment.

Had a great size piece of fish and enough chips for four. It fed 2 of us. Brilliant!

A traditional fish and chip shop selling the usual. It's often very busy and you can sometimes be expected to wait quite a while. Recently prices have rocketed. November 2023 a small chips and cod costs over £10.

Came in on the 7th on November the girl who wrapped the food and gave it to me had excellent customer service! Food was okay bit dry

Chips were ok but 25 minute wait for a portion of chips is a joke.

Saturday of the coronation picked up 3 x fish & chips. Haven’t been to Lees for a while and the fish & chips were the best that I can remember. Really good 👍

Not the best, but I've also had worse. Lucky for them the bar in Chippenham is pretty low for chip shops.

Average quality chips, the battered burger turned out to be an economy 2oz coated in batter twice the volume of the meat. So average stars overall.

Chips half cooked Luke warm and greasy

I must admit the food is nice here however the price is disgustingly high. £9.50 for fish & chips with curry sauce seems excessive for a take away when you could have a meal in a pub for less. Lees are deliberately charging high prices knowing the locals have not got an alternative chip shop close by.

Very good fish and chips in my opinion. A star off because they never accept cards/electronic payments... in 2021. The only thing in my whole life that requires cash is this place. Its become a running joke in our house - I'm struggling to think of legitimate reasons why somewhere like this should still be cash only, mid-pandemic...

Overcharged again. People should check on the price board what they should pay . You will find you are asked to pay more , it might only be an extra 30 pence but if it happens to everyone it's s lot of money.. this is not the first time it has happened to me .

Popular fish and chip shop, can get very busy. All the usual foods on offer. There is generally enough parking around to satisfy all parking needs.

Been twice first time fish was verry soggy and greasy.battered sausages are also greasy .got 2 large portions of chips and they both fitted on 1 plate. what a joke wont ever go back and the staff are rude and unhelpful as well not a good place

My partner went in last night and was greeted with unwelcoming and rude staff! Unfortunately the fish and chips were tasteless and the chips tasted like they have been kept warm for a while! Definitely won’t be returning.

By far the best chips in chippenham which is what a fish and chip shop is all about really. Battered sausage and cheeseburger also are decent which makes a change from your usual chip shop fare. Staff friendly and the service is quick.

Food is of a poor standard. Atmosphere is tense at best and the staff are rude and unhelpful. 🤔 there is a far better choice in Chippenham..
