Complete rip off. £14 for crispy duck which was a deep fried leg and had enough meat for one pancake. Avoid this place at all costs

Terrible customer service, half of the food arrived fridge cold! Would not refund money expected to wait half hour for a replacement. Dont waste your time and money. This place has gone really down hill!!

Ordered food for delivery and after waiting almost 1.5 hrs for it, we called the restaurant which told us our order was cancelled right after placing it. We were kept waiting like fools with no updates and a paid for order. Disgusting attitude

Order through Uber Eats, food is always on time, delicious and hot!

Not sure what's happened to this place but it's gone down hill so much which is a shame as used to be great. Won't be ordering again like how can you mess up chicken balls? And so over priced only gave them another chance as had 40% off with uber. Not surprised they only have a 3.4 rating I think they are lucky to have that waste of money...

I had vegetarian stir fried with hot source It was terrible The vegetarian were not cooked The cabbage bamboo shots were row and thought they had used plastic I would advice never go to this place I had to throw the meal in the bin Thank you It use to good three years ago before it changed heads

Worst ever! 0 star! Don’t buy anything from here! The food was not eatable. I ordered the “crispy noodle” with vegetables via uber eats. What I got was one box of uncooked noodles and a box with stale vegetables. Uber eats did not issue the refund (although the photos). So I called the restaurant; they cared even less, and refused to issue a refund too.

Ok place but way too expensive for what it is

I almost didn't order from here because of some of the reviews but it was good quality Chinese. The chicken curry combined with special fried rice in a tray could've used a bit more curry, but it still tasted good and I had no complaints about the ribs, smoked chicken and pancake rolls. Hopefully they'll be a bit more generous with the curry next time.

The BEST chow mein noodles ever. Been looking for about 15 yrs for the right place around Watford and this is it. Do not ever change how you make this. Amazing!

I am a regular customer. However, my order for tonight (ordered via Deliveroo) was disappointing! The prawn toasts were burnt and bitter, oily and flat, and the prawn filling definitely did not taste of prawn and was hard. The wonton soup tasted horrible, like an expired taste and the broth is bland. The chilli shredded beef were mostly just deep fried batter (it’s not all shredded beef). I am massively disappointed because i always buy from Lee Garden. Did they give me such state of the food because it was thru deliveroo? But why? They should be consistent!

We ordered food for delivery. The chicken was not cooked thoroughly. I'd be very wary of eating here and, if you do, check your food carefully.

First time trying food from here and I wasn’t impressed. Want to my taste. Dishes we had for me were pretty bland and had little or no taste. We had a tofu dish that I couldn’t eat. Maybe it was just me as my partner ate it.

Fantastic food, the older reviews aren't doing this place justice as I believe the team has changed. The food was delivered within 20 mins, fresh tasting and good portions. Highly recommended, especially the udon and black pepper beancurd

Every time I've had food from this restaurant it's always been great the staff are very friendly and understandable as I'm disabled and have requirements the only thing I can say and they will know who I am which I have to laugh now as we always have a joke about this is the delivery man goes home to quick but apart from that the food is lovely thank youxx

Every where else I have ordered a similar meal from, the rice comes seperate to the meat part of the meal and we share. In this case mixed together there was less than half a protion of beef curry or chicken curry. Why would you want to rip people off like this? When we phoned and complained, Lee Garden didn't want to know and tried to blame me. I ordered meal boxes? The only way to order curry on the just eat website from this place is curry and then it asked to choose a side dish. You will never rip me off again Lee Garden. This takeaway meal cost £70 and we expected value. In this case you delivered us less than £10 of food. You should be ashamed of yourselves and your customer service. I will be reporting you to trading standards, I have taken screen shots of your menu and strongly suggest you give a refund through just eat.

Not all of order arrived. Rang up straight away. Was accused of lying as the chef had counted boxes. No offer of repayment or refund for the missing bits

My go to local chinese restaurant, always get late night food from there and decent prices as well. (2019 review) Edit: (Nov 2021) I have noticed changes that kept going on at that restaurant, food got worse, was full of oil, last year in 2020 then I stopped buying unless if i really had nothing to eat then would get a Chinese takeout as i knew it used to be open till 11pm if I’m not mistaken. Recently noticed the change of ownership and that the food quality getting better than what it was in 2020. Late night back from the tube sometimes you fancy some Chinese takeout but on the trip there you realise its closes at 9:30pm now, which is a shame but I guess it needs more sales during that timeframe to pay for the staff wages and hope the new owner made a wise decision on this occasion.

Hadn't used Lee Garden in Northwood for a while , due to Covid restrictions and bad reviews. However they appear to be under new management and we thought we would try them again, as the reviews were improving. Oh yes they are back to their best !! Food arrived within 20 minutes was piping hot and extremely tasty - well done Lee Garden

Not sure about the previous reviews as our food came on time by Deliveroo with the correct amount of dishes and was as good as any Chinese takeaway I have had previously. We will be using Lee Garden again

After new management the food is really great - no complaints here! Great variety of dishes and we could taste that everything was freshly made. Will definitely go back!

Our local Chinese, available on JustEat. Always good, excellent value, the set meals are really good value. You have to try the fried squid in peppercorn salt. 😋

Ordered food through Uber. Called them to say the duck was missing. We’re told nothing can be don’t about it but to contact Uber for refund. Disgusted as that was the kids dinner! Don’t order from them. There is always an issue and they are 0% helpful.

Used to eat here often. It’s gone downhill, terrible food and even worse customer service. Rude staff won’t get you anywhere.

Much cheaper alternative to local rival Tai Pan Express. The portion size is also significantly greater assuring you get your 'bang for your buck'. Quality of the food is very good for the classic takeaway dishes. However, the more niche dishes prove to be oddly tasting. Food slaps hard.

My order was over 30mins late, when it arrived it was cold...I called to complain and was told no one was there to deal with my complaint but was promised a call back!!! 2 phone calls later and week past I had to go in to complain I was put on the phone to management who told me all she could do was offer me 15% of my next order!!! What a joke!!! I asked for a refund she said she’d get back to me, that was a week ago and still nothing!!! Totally discusting customer service and food to match!!! Don’t waste your money like I did!!!

Phoned up to make an order, I was told one hour 30 minutes for delivery, or 45 minutes for collection. So we decided to collect. I turned up one hour after the order was placed. Initially they could not find my order, and then they come back and say it’s in the queue still waiting to be prepared. They gave me an option to cancel the order or wait another 20min. As the food was for my kids I decided to wait for 20 minutes. Only knowing I would have to go somewhere else and order food again if I was to cancel. Then another woman comes out in and argumentative mood and offers to cancel my order. At which point I had to stop her and ask her do you want me to cancel the order are you saying you do not want my business? It felt as if she just wanted to cancel the order. We were short on time, and didn’t really want to waste time ordering from somewhere else as the order was already placed here. I eventually received the food approximately two hours after placing the order. Upon paying for it I asked if there was any concession for the amount of time and estimate given also having had to wait almost an hour at the takeaway restaurant when I could’ve been home with the family on New Year’s Eve Concession was refused! (at which point I should’ve refused to take the order which would’ve left them with a whole meal prepared and nobody to pay for it.) Knowing the food was my kids I just accepted and paid for it and took it home. The general attitude of the staff was very very poor, I was very disgusted with the way I was treated having been a customer and buying food from this particular place for 15 years plus now. Having said that, also on this occasion the food was not as good as it has been in the past.

Excellent takeaway ... reasonable prices

Just for once, just once I'd like them to get my order right. Forever ringing them back because of missing items or occasionally someone else's order. Once is okay, but it's EVERY SINGLE TIME! Family have been ordering from this place for well over 40 years, When it was the Madison Bowl, but now the place has severly gone down hill, run by people absolutely clueless on how to take a simple order Never ordering from again.

We have lived in Northwood for over 20+ years and this used to be our favourite Chinese takeaway. Due to recent circumstances we haven't ordered for 5+ months. Well we did on Saturday 25/7/2020 with anticipation of enjoying our dinner. Clearly the place has changed hands...or at a minimum chef. EVERYTHING was bland and slightly sweet. There was almost no difference in taste between the chicken in yellow bean sauce and the tofu in Szechuan sauce....as an example. Please don't misunderstand.... the portion size was still just as big and the amount of chicken, beef, etc in the dish was generous....BUT it had NONE of the previous robust TASTE to back anything up. It was 'stuff' mixed in with cornstarch gloop that looked shiny and tasted sweet. I am sincerely hoping that this review will be taken as constructive criticism and changes made. We intend to give it another try in a month or so....or another one bites the dust!🤷 As my son said....this tastes just like another 'CHEAP CHINESE'...yuck!!

Not sure what's happened but the food has down way down hill this last year. I had a 50% off from uber eats and this was the only Chinese on there so thought I would give it another chance wish I hadn't bothered. Think I will stick with magic wok from now on their food is by far much better. Sorry Lee Gardens but won't being coming back until you get a chef that can cook and knows flavours

Your food is delicious, the best around, its clean, fresh and reasonable price. Also friendly and polite staff high quality food and service. Terrible customer service. Food took 95minutes to come. Food had zero flavour, items missing. ‘Manager’ was totally unhelpful. What a waste of time and money

Tried their food again today after few months and the standards continue to drop. Seems like the Chef has changed. Hope they improve the portion size and quality of their food. Wish them luck!

Terrible - we rang to check what was in a dish - the dish arrived covered in peanut sauce - they agreed that we did ring to confirm the ingredients but refused us a refund for incorrect information on their part - the colleague and chef did NOT state it had peanut sauce on the dish - this is a complete lack of care and misrepresentation - the menu doesn’t state it either - trading standards will be informed!!!! And it arrived almost 2 hours late!

Ordered a birthday meal as a take away thinking it would be a safe choice having ordered here for years however each dish was abysmal- gluttony broccoli, watery sauce, incorrect dishes sent home and incorrect ingredients substituted without letting us know.. the list goes on. On complaining- the manager or so she calls herself was the rudest member of staff in a restaurant / take away joint I have ever come across. She point blank would not accept our complaint, she had the audacity to put the phone down on me, she was quick to say there was no chance of getting a refund for any dish that was incorrect and she blamed everything on our “preferences” and was adamant it was nothing to do with their food. She wouldn’t even accept they had sent the wrong dish! The worst and rudest service I have come across. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

We ordered take away from Lee Gardens Northwood. The food was atrocious. We ordered deep fried broccoli, shredded smoked chicken, prawn toast, noodles with bean sprouts, chicken in black bean sauce and green beans in schezuan sauce.The broccoli was a glutinous mess. The chicken was NOT shredded smoked chicken it was some sticky sweet sickly chicken. The Prawn toast was oily bread with a thinnest layer of prawn The Noddles were a dry burnt mess with NO BEANSPROUTS. The chicken in black bean sauce was a watery sauce with huge green peppers with about THREE pieces of chicken. The green beans in schezuan were overcooked mangetout! We phoned about the quality of food. The lady who answered was so rude and did not want to listen to a word we said. She asked me to explain what was wrong FOUR TIMES, she had the gall to ask why we complained 40 mins after the food was delivered - apparently their food can’t last 15 mins before being eaten. She said she will speak to the chef and call me back. She failed to call back so I phoned her back. She again wanted me to repeat what was wrong with the food!!! As a business owner she has no idea of customer service as she was shouting and actually hung up. I was not expecting any money back with how rude she was but an apology would have been satisfactory but no there was none. When I asked for a refund - she quite clearly stated “well that won’t happen here”! Not only do they need to learn how to cook but a lesson in customer service also would not go a miss. AVOID THIS PLACE.

I used to come regularly and it’s always been good but tonight Was very bad! normally the food is good and there is normally a man at the desk and he’s lovely but there was a new lady I’ve never seen before. Not only she messed up my order. The rice was ice cold And found hair in my food so reported it to the lady and the lady wasn’t very pleasant and just raised her voice at me. never coming here again. Very shocked at this tonight!!

Took over 2 hours for food to be delivered. Resturant was obviously struggling so much that they took the phone of the hook and were not contactable to see where the order was. Won't be using again. Plenty of other alternatives nearby who will deliver within a reasonable timeframe.

Dissappointed with the food tonight! Chilli chicken too spicy with too many chilli'sm had it before but not usually like this. Rice to mushy tongight also and we usually get free prawn crackers which werenot there. i wont be ordering fromthere again,.

Ordered our usual dishes from this resturant as we would from any other Chinese restaurant for a family treat. Ordered for a family of four and the food was so awful we hardly ate a thing- so much waste. Ribs and seaweed incredibly salty, curry no flavour, hardly any filling in spring rolls and crispy chilly beef so much chill it overpowered all the other flavours. Chow mien was ok but for £32 it was a total waste of money. Phoned to complain directly to the restaurant with the response of ‘I can’t deal with this the manager will call you back’ and still no reply! Never had a Chinese meal that was so bad!

Order from here on weekly basis but after tonight and past few weeks never again, food over done duck was as hard as rock uneatable chicken curry flavourless used to be nice and portions get smaller and change from week to week wasn’t same food from time to time must have a different chief

I love love love the food, been ordering for over a yesr and I have never been let down. I always order the same but I might take a risk and try other dishes on my next order. I can't comment on the delivery times because I live 3 minutes away but I do have the food handed to me with a smile every single time. Thank you guys.

Zero star rating not available. Used this Chinese many many times and menu has changed recently(possibly change in ownership) and it hasn’t been the same. Today’s food came with an added bonus of a wasp in the crispy chilli beef. Put everyone off their food and ended up binning the lot.

Whilst the lady on the phone sounded very nice, we never saw our food as it never arrived. The driver said that our road was closed and we later found out that he was lost. So I can't review the food, only the service.

Delivery arrived ten minutes late. The King Prawn Balls and Crispy duck were both stone cold. Very disappointing, I wont be ordering from these poisoners again.

Ordered a take away twice from this place and both times the food was amazing. Piping hot soup, great duck pancakes (soft, succulent duck), good tasting chow mein, nothing too dry or burnt like so often these days from take aways. Fresh prawn crackers, fresh seaweed, very well seasoned food all with great flavour. Really shocked to see other people didn't have the same experience as me. What a shame.

Good Chinese food but Quality is not same as what it was few years back.

No idea how this place is surviving... Takeaway only and still can't get things right/palatable. Fried stuff is hugely flour coated, sauces are terrible and taste artificial and staff always seem to have gotten out of the wrong side of bed. Thunder faces all round. Poor communication, poor food. Avoid like the plague!

Just had the worst take away from this restaurant. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the dishes were re-heated leftovers from yesterday... overcooked, dry (except the crispy beef, which was soggy).

I had the vegetarian option and could not fault it. Bean curd was lovely and the black bean sauce was rich. Just how I like it. This is definitely our preferred choice when it comes to Chinese food

Pedí un chino desde aquí nuestro usuales en Northwood estaba cerrado. Gran error! Nunca en mi vida he tenido un peor Chino que esto. Las tostadas de sésamo gambas era pan frito. Y los demás platos no era mucho mejor. Ahorra tu dinero y vete a otro lugar ya que obviamente no importa los comentarios de cliente

Tenemos múltiples restaurantes chinos pero para llevar, este es nuestro goto lugar. La comida es deliciosa y las raciones son grandes y ofrecen servicio a domicilio, así es obvia.

comida china encantadora, una excelente relación calidad-precio. Limpio por dentro, poca comida china buen servicio.No aceitosa rápida, que es una gran ventaja. Sin embargo, decidí probar el pad Thai y sabía como verdura Chow mein mayormente, el lugar es sin duda más fuerte en cocinar comida china.

If you are visiting this place I do not recommend the Won Ton soup. Service was bad, waiting time was worse, but above all the food was awful. Boiled cabbage with chucks of garlic is not anything like the comforting broth from other places. Prices are high and quality is very very low. Not the cleanest restaurant either. Would never go again.

We regularly get a take away, normally delivered as they do it free for orders over £10. Often we have their "boxes", which are fantastic value at £4.90 for rice or noodles and your choice of main dish, in the box. Lots of dishes totally delicious and a bit old fashioned, so really tasty. Broccoli in garlic and chilli used to be better with the old chef, but is still good. Sweet and sours good, and crispy duck and pancakes delicious- quite often its a breast portion. Bean curd in Szechuan sauce great too. All dishes are big portions for little prices. The place is really busy so food is always freshly cooked (to order) and the amount of people using this take away is testament to its tastiness and fair price policy.
