Lebanese Village in Reading

Descubrí la aldea libanesa a principios de este año. Caversham está lleno de magníficos restaurantes independientes - y Pueblo Libanés es uno de esos magníficos restaurantes. La comida es totalmente deliciosa y generosamente dividida - tanto comer en y para llevar. Es uno de esos menús felices donde no puedes equivocarte. He probado tanto el menú establecido - que es realmente buena relación calidad- y se ha ido a la carta. Podría escribir un poema sobre su pan plano de halloumi. Vaya. Tan suave, salado y morado. Sus patatas especiadas son increíbles - y perfecto bañado en salsa de ajo o labneh. Su baba ganoush - palabras no pueden describir lo delicioso que es. Es bueno que no pueda hacer su baba ganoush yo mismo, ya que pesaría unos 50 kg. Las ensaladas están muy bien aderezadas y condimentadas. Sus carnes a la parrilla son sabrosas y tiernas. He probado la mayoría de ellos y de nuevo, no puede equivocarse. Las costillas de cordero merecen una mención especial - creo que son realmente difíciles de hacer bien y LV son maestros de este arte. Los platos tiernos de pollo también son preciosos, si no eres fanático del cordero. Ignora lo que el revisor dice a continuación sobre el ajo mayo promedio y la comida libanesa promedio - está totalmente equivocado en ambos aspectos. Esta es la mejor comida libanesa que he comido. Y la salsa de ajo es un verdadero alioli. Pide Labneh si quieres algo súper refrescante. Por favor visite LV si está en la ciudad - son personas encantadoras que son muy buenos en lo que hacen, y merecen su apoyo.

Visitamos aquí cada par de meses aproximadamente y nunca hemos tenido una mala comida (a menos que algo no ha sido del todo de nuestro gusto, si sabes lo que quiero decir) Visité esta noche y el lugar estaba temblando. Es bueno ver, pero me preocupaba que el servicio y la calidad de la comida podrían verse afectados. Sin embargo, no tenemos por qué habernos preocupado. Comida encantadora como de costumbre, servicio fantástico también. No podía fallar nada. Sin duda uno de mis ir a lugares en Caversham e incluso Reading Recomendaría encarecidamente

Amazing meal. We didn’t book, just called in on a Saturday day night. Had starters, mains and a beer and only £60 with a tip! Bargain. Staff were really friendly, restaurant is spotless and service fabulous Starters Lebanese bread stuffed with lamb and squid - delicious. Mains 2 lamb dishes, melted in your mouth with a lovely spicy flavouring. We will definitely be back

Absolutely delicious. We regularly visit at least twice a month. Always delicious and succulent. With left overs to eat the next day.

We had the set menu; very enjoyable mix of starters but easy to over eat ahead of the main courses. Mixed grill for mains; chicken was the standout but everything was good. We also had a couple of tangines which were great. Service was a bit stretched initially but super friendly and pricing was good. Definitely worth a return visit.

What an excellent find. Friendly welcoming staff and a delicious menu. Plenty of choice with lots of fresh food cooked to perfection and served with flair. A very relaxing atmosphere and such warm welcoming hosts. This was filling food at its best.

Very average Lebanese food unfortunately. We went for the set menu and the staff were gracious enough to swap out certain items but ultimately none of the food was special and portions were pretty small. The garlic sauce was basically just a garlicky mayo and the batata harra was soggy. If you’re used to Lebanese restaurants in London (e.g Marroush) you will be disappointed. Staff were friendly and attentive so that saves it from a one star review.

My partner went there for a romantic dinner and to try somewhere new to eat. We weren’t disappointed, it is a stunning place. The food is astounding and delicious, I cannot rate it highly enough. We had a mixture of mezze and mains utterly tasty. Go try it yourself and enjoy it for yourself

This was our first experience of Lebanese food and it was amazing, there was not a scrap left. Good price, lovely staff, definitely would like to go back.

Not a massively prepossessing location with a very high step at entrance. As it was early lunchtime we were only clientele. Young & very personable waiter/ maitre d/factotum - no other staff evident. Ordered mixed cold & hot meze for 3. Prompt service and each element well prepared and tasty. Recommended. During our meal a large family party arrived; one of whom had mobility problems and was helped into building by the only and extremely obliging staff member. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was minor but i felt that the old England scenes on wall hanging plates were totally incongruous to the overall ambience. A baklava a piece was a nice end note

I looked at reviews for this restaurant as we had an overnight stay locally. Wish we lived nearer. The food was excellent. Large portions and not expensive. If we are in the area again will definitely go again.

The food here is amazing! So much flavour. Lots of choice. Staff are lovely. I believe it is family run. They have a little outside area with heaters. Haven’t used this ourselves but hope to one day. We will be back!

Went Saturday evening - 5 of us - had pre-booked as birthday meal. Food was good but service was not. 10 minute wait for menus then further delay for drinks and they only bought 4 of the 5 drinks. We had to chase to get the fifth drink but when we checked bill later we saw they had charged for an "extra drink". Their focus seemed to be on the takeaways and the Just Eat couriers who kept coming and going - they did not seem to have enough serving staff for the restaurant itself. When food came after another 15 min delay it was great but then another long, long delay till dirty plates cleared from table - 20-30 min? We thought about desserts but thought it would take too long. Shame really, seem friendly but their service needs a lot of work - Saturday blues?

Had it as a takeaway a few times and its always been amazing. So we went for dinner yesterday 03 of November and omg it was amazing. The staff was so lovely and the food was so good!!! Couldn't recommend more!?!?

Loved the food, went with friends and we shared a few starters which were all delicious as was my main course. Would definitely go back.
