no music. venue was decent. pint ok.

Unique. No other place like it for miles around. If you love live music, staunch characters and vegan grub this is the place.

Great atmosphere, lovely selection of drinks and perfect service.

Great music and good selection of beers well worth a look

The staff are good people, there is a good selection of draught beers, consistency is a bit variable in Le Pub, but pretty good overall. It's a bit pricey, but they open late, and for people like me with awkward work hours, it's cool to be able to have a late beer. They just need to get the Talisker 10 year whisky back on the menu again

What a wonderful establishment; one of, if not my favourite bars to go to.

Great pub with good drinks. It is surprising that the layout is so different to Reece's flat.

Le Pub is the musical heart of Newport. They have amazing bands playing there regularly, serve great beers (including a non-alc beer in tap), and brilliant veggie burgers & chips. Definitely well worth a visit if you find yourself in Newport.

Worst place ever, bad music, lets drug abusers in, and racists. Avoid. It's normally extremely quiet anyway.

Fantastic spot ! The attention to detail, the cleanliness , the music and the drinks are all amazing . Everywhere you look there’s a detail and art piece that makes you happy to be there ! The music venue is intimate and great for discovering new talent. Easy to access as it is close to the station ! Fab ! And the toilets are a piece of art with pride and prejudice narrated and a piano you can tickle before you return to the bar 🥰

A now legendary pub, super super cool!

Miss the original Le pub but this is a very nice local venue/public house. Will be back soon.

It's a great pub but it's pricey!! On a weekend, they serve your beer in plastic glasses and a round of three pints of IPA cost over £16. This is pricey for Newport. Guess it's a plot to keep the riff raff out.

Fully junk food vegan menu with burgers and hot dogs, dog friendly both indoor and outdoor, pool table, board games, regular events, lovely atmosphere for all ages!

Always a great atmosphere, friendly staff and a great drinks selection that is all reasonably priced. One of the only decent establishments left in Newport. Would award an extra star if I could, purely based on the anti-Tory decor

Intimate gig space with welcoming bar. Vodka and coke came without ice or lemon, or the offer of either.

Ok. This venue is well, pretty intimate. However, I got to see my friends in Head Noise put on a real punk inspired set...and danced my butt off! Fun was had by all!! ❤️

Great selection of craft beers on draught, in a tin or a bottle, it's a shame I can no longer get there to enjoy any bands in the evenings as I am sure it would be a blinding night out As with most places it's the staff that make or break a bar and these are spot on the money- keep on keeping on, the world is looking grim for pubs and bars at the moment but I confident Le Pub will weather the storm and once the sun has come out again it will further thrive and prosper

Expensive, £2.40 for a half Guinness, it's another over priced music bar that will struggle unless the prices come down. Not my scene really, it's catering for a younger crowd who got money to burn.

A lovely pub, very kind and welcoming. The drink selection is good (if not to my taste; there are no dark beers). I've given it 3 stars because I have worries about its accessibility. The disabled toilet is towards the back of the pub behind the pool table. This means it can be difficult for me as a crutch user to get around whilst also dodging pool sticks. I can't speak for wheelchair users but I don't know that they would easily be able to get around the tight corners. Otherwise a nice pub. I hope they can become more accessible! Edit following reply from owner: I'm honestly tempted to remove another star following this response from the owner but I won't because I know that the owner does not reflect the rest of the hard workers there. Claiming to be "more accessible" than other places in Newport doesn't thereby make you accessible. As a disabled individual, I do not find it easy to access the disabled toilet at Le Pub. I understand that you can't move the toilet but moving the pool table would make the area much more accessible (I have seen similar comments from other disabled individuals in reviews elsewhere). Furthermore, Le Pub does not subscribe to the Radar key scheme which means that the toilet is inaccessible to anyone who is unable to ask for a key at the bar or for a disabled person who might need to use the toilet suddenly. Simply changing the lock would make a massive difference to your accessibility levels. If you truly care about your disabled patrons then please listen to us rather than silence us. At the moment your venue is not fully accessible but it could be.

Love the ambience, can't recommend garlic salted chips enough, hot off the shelves and never disappoint. Staff is extremely courteous and the stage is loud and fun!

Speaking as a musician that recently played there with my band, Le Pub is a fantastic venue with a great live sound. The guy behind the mixingdesk knows what he's doing. As a customer? Just as good. Great bar, friendly staff, nice surroundings and general vibe is good

Not for me first time and i think last time friends laugh when i said lets try it, friendly enough. Just wasn't for me or my mates. We had a pint and moved on. Toilets not the best (mens)

Great local bar with music acts

I finally visited this pub ( about a week &1/2 ago )while I was traveling in Wales ! Y AY!! It was in my bucket list for 3 years !! Very friendly atmosphere/ services !! Very good foods !! I had a vegan burger & it was delicious !! The man ( lady like ) who helped me was very pretty & sweet ! And the lady worked there I asked where the toilet was to was very friendly, too !Only a couple of issues I experienced there were ( it seemed typical in Wales & England ) that they didn't wear gloves ,or use tongues always to prepare foods ! I am from L A.& originally from Tokyo ,so I was shocked !! Also , the bathroom ( toilet ) was super smelly ( of urine ,again it seemed typical as there were too many like this I used in London & Newport,Wales !😅 ) that made me wonder when was the last time they cleaned it ,or if ever cleaning the toilet ,or not !!? These are the reasons I can't give 5 stars ,but 4 !! Sadly ! As I was very looking forward to visit this famous all vegan pub ( I am a vegetarian ) & the burger was great 👍 And the person took / prepared my order was real nice & very friendly & charged me less as I didn't want chips !! I was surprised & thought that was a great gesture/ super cool treatment / service !!! I greatly appreciated it !! 🙏🏼I recommend this pub to all vegans / vegetarians & music fans ,off course !! But,hoping they'll improve their hygiene practices on preparing foods & the toilets !!

Great pub with nice atmosphere. Great range of drinks including an extensive range of non alcoholic. To the side is a small music room with a good PA. They host a wide range of up and coming bands from UK and the States. See bands here that will be big next year.
