We came here for breakfast thinking it was a French restaurant but it isn't anymore, which was really confusing. They didn't have any of the pictures here on the menu. It's now called Ben's cafe, just selling bagels and American pancakes, no pastries or crêpes. The pancakes we had were nice, but I couldn't drink the cappuccino.

Really good coffee and food, with a relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic place!

We went there twice during our holiday in Edinburgh. Very charming and warm place with owners who listen to their customers and are very pleasant. Delicious pancakes, I recommend +++

Rainy day, very few customers and refuse service to solo travellers, presumably because it makes less money. Cold hearted especially at Christmas! For kinder service, I suggest L’etoile Salon de tea on west port street nearby. Also French but service with a smile.

Overrated. Good food, below average coffee, good service. Got a spilled, poorly made flat white and a laughable espresso.

An amazing place to go with your friends

Came here for breakfast. A lovely stop before a busy day. Staff were lovely and friendly. The cafe was easy to get to and within a short walk (10mins) of Edinburgh castle. The food was delicious, the only thing we might not order again was the latte.

Had a lovely breakfast here in this small French Cafe. Was something for everyone I think, and the Galettes were really good! A little on the pricey side for breakfast, but was great. Only thing that let it down was the coffee - wasn't great and the Baristas steamed milk was too frothy for what I'd expect of a bog-standard flat white.

No entiendo porque tiene buena calificación este lugar. Pedimos dos sándwiches, uno de ellos regular, el otro (Le club sándwich) estaba exageradamente condimentado o con exceso de mostaza, estamos acostumbrados a sabores fuertes pero esto definitivamente estaba mal preparado; la mesera nos preguntó si todo estaba bien a lo que respondimos amablemente que el sándwich tenía un sabor muy fuerte , muy cerca de nosotros estaba el gerente o dueño, escuchó el comentario y la mesera también se lo fue a comentar a lo que el gerente o dueño solo le respondió con un gesto despectivo. Los cafés están regular en preparación, no acorde con los precios. No recomiendo este lugar ni por la calidad de sus alimentos ni por la atención e incluyen el 10% de propina en la cuenta.

Love this cafe. Great food and lovely staff. They are dog friendly and treat the dogs as well as the human customers with a wee blanket and a tray of goodies for them!

This small cozy Café is absolutely beautiful. We appreciated our stay there and the staff was super friendly! The food and also the Pumpkin Pie Latte was very tasty. I can recommend it to everyone visiting Edinburgh. Enjoy.

The atmosphere is bright and airy, with large glass windows. The shop is decorated with seasonal decorations. The crepes are delicious!

We’ve been traveling around the UK + Ireland for a little over a week. We’ve had breakfast every day we’ve been here and this is by far the BEST we’ve had. The croissants are light, fluffy, and delicious especially the Nutella one. I also had a ham & cheese crepe, incredible. A very cute cafe with good service and good coffee! Definitely stop by here! The food pictured is ham & cheese crepe, Nutella croissanr, kinder crepe, and bacon croissant. As well as a cappuccino.

This place serves the best crepes! The staff members were super helpful, friendly and caring, you could see their smiles through the mask. I felt like home straight away. The waiting time is very short despite the place being totally full. Upon entrance you get your hands sanitised. The venue is absolutely lovely, clean and welcoming. This also includes the unisex toilet - clean and big (wheelchair friendly). I had a savory crepe as well as a sweet one. Price / value = 100% matching. I enjoyed the pumpkin spice latte which was on the menu this month (autumn!) several other autum specialities too I defo recommend. I highly recommend this place because not only the food has been incredibly tasty but also the service has been second to none.

A wonderful and quaint cafe in Edinburgh. It is very clean, and the staff is so pleasant. We ordered two galettes to share: Complète and Tatin. YUM. We enjoyed both. The Complète was our favorite. The egg on top was a nice addition. I ordered their autumn herbal tea which was the best tea I’ve ever had. Even though the tea wasn’t available for purchase, our server sent me home with a tea bag—such a sweet gesture!

BEST PANCAKES EVER! We orderd the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup and also the banana with caramel sauce, was lovely, fresh and light. 100%recommended will be back

I’m disappointed since this place has high reviews. I ordered the Norwegian crepe. It was dry and over cooked. The salmon was too salty. My friend ordered the pumpkin pie latte and could only taste artificial sugar in her drink.

에딘버러를 떠나기 전 급히 검색하여 찾아낸 맛집. 영국 여행이다보니 영국식 브랙퍼스트나 스콘 등을 생각했지만 르 프띠를 방문하고 새로운 경험을 하게된 것 같아 매우 만족스러웠다. 시간의 여유가 좀 더 있었다면 다른 음료도 마셔보고 싶었는데 아쉬웠다.

Came for a birthday breakfast. Extensive crepe options and a variety of other breakfast items. The pancakes also looked delightful as did the set breakfast menu. The hot chocolate was mounded with cream and mellows! Couldn't be happier with this cute cafe. Extra points for tactful Halloween decor!

A perfect little slice of France.

Pictured is the G.O.A.T. and Ham & cheese savoury crêpes. We were walking around Edinburgh and were looking for a last minute breakfast spot that offered gluten free options. Staff was very friendly and the crepes were yummy.

Absolutely lovely establishment! We had breakfast there twice during our stay in Edinburgh. Savory crepes and gelettes that melt in your mouth. Tea and coffee offerings were by far the best we've sampled so far. So many places over steep the tea, but thankfully they brought the tea bag to me on the side so I could steep for the optimum flavor.

Cute little french breakfast spot :) the staff were kind and friendly. Food was great. Menu had interesting options. Coffee was pretty good, not the best, but good. Overall it was enjoyable and I would go back.

I had been once before and enjoyed the experience and the gluten free dark chocolate crepe so much that I went back with my husband for lunch. I was not disappointed as it was just as good as my first experience. Great service and delicious gluten free options.

Had a lovely lunch here in this beautiful cafe today. It was a very wet day in Edinburgh but the wonderful galettes, crepes and orangina in its original shaped bottles made it feel like we were in France for an hour. Service was fab and everything was very clean. Not a spare table to be had today and easy to see why. Would highly recommend.

Decorated with chandeliers and white tone, Le petit cafe brings simple but pleasant vibe. The savory crepe, I tried, named Parisian (Ham cheese and egg etc) is my crush. The bitterness and indelicacy from side salad slightly,well in my opinion, attenuates the overall dish. The dessert crepes, I think, are their pride. Mine is a classic with sugar and lemon which tastes sour and sweet, strange but novel and refreshing. The Bueno one is my friend’s favorite with multi textures. He seems to love it very much. The service and staffs are very patient full of service minds. The crepes are served quickly as well. I recommend you visit on weekdays for lunch deals as it will be savvier. Weekends still crowded as well. Bon appetite.

Excellent food !! True to name ..

We had breakfast here 2 times and the food was really nice. I had one day the healthy yoghurt and another day the savoury crêpe. Nice portions. The hot chocolate is delicious. We didn’t book so walk-ins were okay. The cafeteria became really busy afterwards.

Very sophisticated place with a French touch in the heart of Edinburgh. My friend and I stopped here for a breakfast during our trip to Scotland and wow, we loved the place and what we were offered! Croissants were heavenly made, croustillants yum.. real fresh orange juice and nice pancakes. Je vous remercie pour votre excellent service et à très bientôt

Gezellig kleine eetgelegenheden voornamelijk ontbijt/crêpes etc. Lekkere koffie. Minpuntje vond ik...de verlichting zou wat sfeervoller van kleur kunnen, is erg wit. Bediening vriendelijk Eten komt snel Zeker een bezoekje waard.

Lovely restaurant with excellent food. The weekday set lunch option is great value. Very much enjoyed our galettes and crepes. Lots of filling options. Service was also excellent. My husband is GF and the restaurant happily accommodated him by making a dessert galette for his dessert instead of a crepe. We would absolutely recommend.

The versatility of the crepe has been exposed here! Delicious and filling. I had the Complete galette and the Pistachio crepe in one sitting and still thinking about the flavors. Fresh squeezed orange juice and coffee to add to the morning joy. 🙏🏻

I do not recommend Le Petit for breakfast, there is nothing special about it but for deserts… OMG! Pick any crepe you like, no wrong choice in this place.

Lovely little cafe with great prices and food!

Gosh, where to start? I've been going here just about every week for over a year now and put simply, I couldn't ask for any more from a cafe. I'm an engineer to trade and my morning coffee essentially decides how the rest of my day will go: bad coffee = bad mood. Well since first tasting the mocha, since first receiving the "Bonjour Monsieur" on entry and first hearing the bouncy swing music; I have never walked out in a bad mood. The food is exquisite and the closest I've had to authentic French crepe outside of France. The menu has such a variety that even my simple taste is met with plenty option and I've even been persuaded to venture down some more creative paths (I recommend the 'Pistachio Royal'). The introduction of sandwiches has also provided options for the days you're looking for something a little more substantial. The interior is always immaculate and beautifully decorated, providing a unique ambience and an exhibit that throughout the year will change and alter to suit. Halloween? Valentines day? Christmas? Marion's creative mind will ensure no cafe is better dressed for the occasion. All staff working within put in 110% and help provide the energy that makes it such a special place. The front of house staff are all interesting and friendly people that consistently show an active interest in their job and with whom I love chatting with. They are always content to care for any special requests to relay to the kitchen and discuss the menu. Well worthy of any optional 10% service charge. Moving on to the kitchen (and the people I've had the least contact with). Anyone who has been understands the seemingly unique ability of France to create such mouthwatering dishes of this nature and, I'll repeat what I said earlier, this is the closest I have found outwith the country to meet the standards set. To the two owners; Marion and Mathias. You'll be hard-pressed to find anyone as dedicated to their craft as these two. Since their idea took hold; they had the bravery to chase their dream in another country, were confronted with a global pandemic as soon as they begun, had the strength to resist through that and then the creative endeavour to run a service during the complexity of what followed and still now, continue to make the cafe a success during record-breaking costs of living. All of this while remaining creative, fun, grateful, happy and being just generally wonderful people. It's a pleasure to know you both and I have no doubt your cafe will remain a success for as long as you want it to be. If you're fancying a coffee, crepe, galette, smoothie, fruit juice, sandwich, seat, take-away, breakfast, lunch, a whatever: I would recommend here.

If I lived in Edinburgh full-time I would eat here every morning.... Everything I had was awesome and the staff was exceptional... Stopped here several times during my 11 days in Scotland...
