Le Damas in Slough

It has been a good few years since I was last here. Back then the place was a shop front barely the size of a small market stall - now it is a fully fledged restaurant. The food was good and very good value. I had the chicken shawarma with fries. The fries were crispy and golden and the chicken was not too bad either. Nice to see this place still here. A lot of the half decent places in Slough are now gone and the town centre is a depressing ghost town with crappy shops.

Visited this place after seeing it on Instagram and it was amazing! The food is outstanding, the place is spotless, very clean and nicely decorated, and the staff are really nice and helpful. Fantastic experience and can't wait to visit again!

The best surprise for food!! So clean, prepared in front of me. The young chef was helpful, explained everything when I asked about the falafel, chicken, halloumi. So fresh and also vegetarian options. The spicy potatoes were best! The owner came out to chat as I complimented the chef. He was generous and we discussed culture, NY, food and we had tea. Such a great find in middle of Slough. Definitely worth going with family. There were families in there and it was so relaxed. ☺️🤸👋

Absolutely Amazing food and service! (Especially the lamb!) We were not meant to be eating in here initially but we looked over and the shawarma looked so delicious we just had to go in. The place is small but thats not an issue because it's very CLEAN! As mentioned we were on our way to a different place to eat so when we walked in we had NO idea what to order. I'm guessing it was the owner, was so patient and talked me through what he thought would be best to order and what would be included in it. He started us off with lentil soup- and oh my days there was an explosion of flavours in my mouth! Never have I tasted lentil soup as delicious as that! While we got over that our table was wiped down and our main dish was bought to us- we went for the mixed grill- I prefer lamb and was delighted to hear it was actually lamb used and NOT mutton! Portion size was very good, I would recommend having a read of the menu as there's alot included in it, we had some left over that we brought home. I picked up a piece of lamb thinking it's going to be chewy but I was really surprised that it was so soft and succulent! None of the flavours were overpowering and we really enjoyed our meal. And once again as we finished our meal, our table was swiftly cleared and aromatic tea bought to us -I'm not a tea person- especially if it has no milk- but I found myself sitting there drinking this delicious warm aromatic tea WITH a piece of chocolate orange brownie. I would highly recommend visiting this place. You will not be disappointed! And it's FRESH FOOD, nothings being brought out from the back it's all there Infront of you.

The food is served by lovely staff.. the food is worth the wait at busy times a chilled atmosphere at quieter times! .. Hygiene is excellent, we go several times a month and have done since they opened, the food has always been outstanding.. Everything is fresh and has so much flavour!! I found a lovely tea here too .. Special Blend ... lovely! Definitely worth a visit ( can get busy but that's a good sign!!)

The food was exceptional. It has a really good customer service and all the workers were so respectful.The best food place in slough!

The worst experience ever. Waited 10 minutes for the table and 40 minutes for the food. The food was terrible, uncooked and no hygiene. Very disappointed.

Great place to eat. Great customer service really pleasant staff excellent food above all reasonably priced.

Really nice place, clean and friendly. Food is a little pricey, but great value with taste. I would definitely go back, if I’m in the area again.

I had the Large Lamb Shawarma, a couple of days ago, and it was mostly fat and gristleand the little bit of meat was really tough and chewy. I didn't enjoy it at all and it was a waste of £5.50. I would Not recommend this place to anyone.

Depending on who is seving, you get a good quick take away. Fast food , good food. sometimes ignored if you don't speak arabic

We have been coming to see Sami for Shawarma for the past 3 years and I can honestly say that it is the very best you can get anywhere. His ingredients are absolutely fresh always and the flavour is very authentic and yet unique to Le Damas also. i have eaten shawarma in the middle east and before Le Damas we used to regularly travel to Edgware Road for our shawarma. Sami recently even catered the evening part of our wedding party and it was an enormous success with everyone from the meat eaters to the vegans who had the falafal shawarma.

I've not actually visited Le Damas in person but I HAVE eaten their food as it was supplied to a function we were at. I had never eaten a shawarma before either but I really enjoyed it and if I am in slough and needing a bite to eat, I will certainly pay a visit. In fact, I may look for an excuse to pay a visit! Hey, makes a very refreshing change to pizza! (For the avoidance of doubt: this is a review of their food and not the establishment).

Very yummy. They catered for a friend’s party and were enjoyed by all. I had a falafel shawarma, and tasted the chicken too and both were amazing.

Le Damas is our friends fav local takeaway so they ordered a huge shawarma take away for about 150 guests at party to celebrate their wedding ... delicious...one of best falafel wraps i have had with just the right amount of tahini sauce :-) apparently the lamb and chicken were yummy too.

I had my lunch at le damask is the best shawarma I ever had very tasty generous portions delicious chicken batata hara loved it the service out of this world really proud of what they do keep it up guys thanks to the owner Samer who looked after us definitely we recommend this place for quick meal when you short break fast service see u again

Ok I'm now vegan but had the shawarma plenty of times. It is incredible, very authentic, unlike the usual shawarmas you get in the UK which are an insult to Middle Eastern food.The falafels are extremely tasty, fresh, crunchy and I love their batata harra (spiced potatoes).

Tried this place by chance on a evening visit looking at picking up some takeaway dinner for the family. Ordered a couple of small chicken shawarma only £3.50 each and a lamb shawarma £4.00 each, so whats soo great about this place you ask?, they actually heat the wrap on the actual flames giving it that BBQ taste that adds so much to the taste.Portions are great, halal meat and friendly service! what more can u ask for.The chicken is better than the lamb as the lamb has too mush fat on meat make it rubbery.A hidden gem in Slough

Excellent batta harra (spiced potatoes) with superb shawarma and generous portions. Crunchy salad and flavoursome meat. Cash only. Only 1 chef and was rushed, but may have been overworked.

My brother promised to take me to his favorite shawarma place when I come and visit. I was not disappointed. Although I realized after 2 bites that I was given chicken instead of lamb, the friendly guy at the counter cheerfully added a free lamb shawarma. He also warmly greets all guests and patiently explains the sauces to first timers. Overall it was a positive experience.

I’m a MASSIVE shawarma fan and having travelled extensively eating it I’m always wanting to find places that are authentic and bring the taste home. I’m a big fan of certain London establishments on Edgeware road and further out on the same street and think they are the best I’ve had in the UK.My brother told me of this place in Slough that he stumbled across and claimed it rivalled my best experiences so we gave it a shot.Place is not huge only seating for maybe 5/6 people, it’s more of a takeaway joint. Staff was friendly and recognised my brother as a regular.Went for the large chicken. It was brilliant, very large, juicy and tasty. Right amount of chicken and pickle. It was definitely up there and got a 9/10 from me. One thing and this is a personal preference, I would go without so much spicy sauce but that’s just me being picky.More people should know about this place!!!
