Lovely location and nice atmosphere. Really friendly staff who looked after us well. Food arrived quickly and the Pizzas were delicious!

Arrived around 1:30 to find plenty of empty tables, yet were abruptly told there was no availability by a waitress who couldn’t have been less warm or sincere if she’d tried. No smile, no explanation, no effort — just cold indifference. So we walked over to Rick Stein’s, where we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality. Ended up enjoying an impromptu lunch and spending £200 for a family of five. Lazy Jack’s loss.

We had a wonderful lunch with our children today. The staff are friendly, efficient and very attentive. The food is delicious - we tried the fish platter, tagliatelle and the children enjoyed the kids menu. We enjoyed this so much that we have booked again for tomorrow. Highly recommend

The waitstaff were unapproachable and slow to assist. After placing my order, I requested an additional minute to decide on a drink, but no one returned to check on us. We had to order drinks only after our food arrived. I ordered a chicken burger and a beef burger. The chicken burger had burnt meat, which, although I am not picky, had an unbearable bitter taste that made it inedible. I asked for a replacement and specified that the meat should be cooked medium. While waiting, I tasted a piece of the chicken burger, which was too salty. After drinking two glasses of water, I finally received my beef burger, only to find that the meat was also overcooked. I cannot speak for the other dishes on the menu, but the burgers were disgusting, and the service was exceptionally poor. Our waitress was quite rude, adding to my dissatisfaction. I regret to say that I would not recommend your restaurant. I feel like I wasted £60 and left with a stomachache.

Had a really lovely afternoon here, went for a casual lunch in the sun and the food was fantastic. The staff were all lovely, particularly Teodora who was really attentive and helpful. We’ll be back!

Please don't be put off by the negative reviews.... food and service were the best. We had Seabass and Salmon as a main course and you couldn't fault it at all! Our waiter Craig was a credit to Lazy Jacks. Would definitely recommend that you go there

I also did a review on Google. Just to say this is very overpriced and the food is just ok. (£100+ for one alcoholic drink, two courses and one dessert) The service is some of the worst I have ever had. Quiet while we the there for an early dinner, 4 table of two in addition to ourselves. While the staff were pleasant they need serious training ASAP. The kitchen staff are seriously let down by the slack front of house and servers. Painful wait for everything, cocktails arrived ½ way through the starter. Had to ask twice for water (nothing to drink with our food) My partner's dessert never arrived and we were charged for coffee that should have been served as part of my dessert. The waitress then produced a QR saying a good review would give her £100 bonus. On top of the service charge. We didn't query any of this, ju6 wanted to get out as soon as possible. We'd had a lovely day on the beach and didn't want to spoil the vibe.

Craig instantly greeted us at the venue and accommodated us with a table of our choice. He was friendly, professional and served us really well. Thank you for giving us such a great experience. Highly recommend this venue for lunch or dinner!

Never had such appalling service. The staff were really pleasant, but that's the only positive. The food was nice (well mine was. My partner's steak was medium, when he asked for rare and the blue cheese sauce was an odd gravy brown in colour) The guy who seated and greeted us was very nice, but we were not offered any drinks with the menu. After spending 15 minutes on the phone he took our order. By the way the place was quiet, us and 4 other tables of two, so hardly rushed off their feet. Our cocktails arrived half way through our starters and we had to ask twice for water ( nothing to drink with our food!) I heard the kitchen staff call 'service', to which no-one responded. The chef repeated, "service, girls PLEASE". I witnessed a lady going to the bar herself, because their drinks hadn't arrived. We ordered dessert. My partner's never arrived & we were charged for a coffee that should have been included with my dessert. We didn't query either, as we had spent a lovely day on the beach and didn't want to finish the day with a negative vibe. The 'icing on the cake'....... .......before we paid the bill, the waitress presented us with a QR code saying, "please give me a good review, because I'll get £100 added to my wages". Unbelievable! At over £100 for average food and service so bad one star is too much & frankly shouldn't be on the bill. We will never go back. All these wiatreses and front of house staff need training ASAP or the business will suffer. Lazy Jacks has slack staff and is overpriced for what you receive. AVOID

Perfect place to eat and drink in the heart of sandbanks .. service was amazing .. the pizzas also were unreal.. there own pizza chef from naples 🫶🇮🇹 highly recommend and free parking off season outside on street

Came here for a lovely afternoon bite to eat and drink, thoroughly enjoyed a shared pizza and glass of wine. we were welcomed by zooey who was very warm, welcoming and attentative. The pizza was perfect and very generous with the cheese! Brilliant atmosphere, relaxing, enjoyable and thoroughly enjoyable. Will be coming back many many more times!

Unfortunately I can not tell about the food. But fur sure I can regret about bad attitude and hospitality . I joined the LAZY on Wednesday in May at 20:35, so the place was not packed at all . I asked table for one and I was informed that kitchen was closed and all I can have was a Pizza (probably frozen stuff heated in electric stuff) . I said no problem and escaped the unpleasant restaurant. Next door is Rick Stein restaurant ,they welcome me and handled the best table next to the window facing the harbour view and poured to me a glass of champagne. Caro Lazy adios!!!!!

lovely spot for lunch, very relaxed atmosphere and nice food.

We used to supply Lazy Jacks with roasted coffee until they liquidated just over a year ago. Unfortunately many small producers/suppliers have been left in debt - with no settlement made. Despite constantly trying to resolve this debt we’ve had little communication and the debt still out stands. Somehow Lazy Jacks continues to trade? It’s unfair for previous suppliers to absorb another businesses failure. Feel free to contact me directly.

Sadly my review of the fish and chips at this restaurant did not match the photos that others have posted. For £18.50 I was served chips from a bag and a piece of fish that was meant to be oven baked that had been deep fried and was saturated in oil. When I questioned the waitress she confirmed that the chips were indeed from a bag. A restaurant that can’t slice fresh chips!! What else are they serving that’s straight out of a packet? We won’t be returning.

I had the strangest experience at Lazy Jack’s this week. I’ve wanted to give it a try for a while so myself and the family walked there from Lilliput which is a good 35mins. I spoke to a lovely lady on the phone who informed me that they wouldn’t be serving the food on the menu again until 5pm but we were welcome to order pizza and drinks and she would reserve me a table. I told her that would be perfect and we’d be there in 15mins. When we arrived the young unsmiling server on the desk seemed very confused and acted as if I’d made the conversation up. She wandered away from me mid-conversation saying ‘I don’t know who you’ve spoken to…’ I got the attention of a second waitress who began by calling me sweet-pea in quite a patronising way, and again seemed confused. She put it down to a third waitress being ‘hit and miss’ that day and said she’d ask the chef if he could accommodate us. She disappeared for 10 mins leaving us once again standing around by the door. In the meantime, a couple came in and were told they were serving pizzas until 5pm by the first server and asked to take a seat! By the time the second waitress came back from her chat we had decided that it was the oddest non-welcome we’d ever received and informed her that we were going to go to ‘Caff’ around the corner. ‘Oh ok sweet-pea…’ she responded 🤦🏻‍♀️ Such a shame as I’ve heard the food is lovely but it was sadly let down by a complete lack of warmth and service. I don’t think the waitresses were aware of how rude they had been so perhaps some customer service training would help them?

Really great position and vibe in the area. Started outside in the sun, so lovely. Even though a little slow drinks delivery with one forgotten. All good though and went inside for food. Starters were perfect, scallops & black pudding, and lovely prawns & chilli. Mains were good although fish had a very heavy batter, chips were great. Ordered more drinks at the end but literally waited 35 minutes for them. That’s with only 4 tables in use. Clearly no bar person who knows how to make their drinks menu.

An absolute Gem on the Sandbanks Peninsula. The menu is excellent and very well priced. The restaurant is close to the water with a modern dining room with lots of light. Fantastic staff and will definitely be returning

Great food, great service. We were 30 mins late to our reservation and they happily gave us a table. The people there were lovely, great service with absolutely tasty food, definitely coming back.

After a ride out on the motorcycle on a beautiful day, we decided to stop in this lovely restaurant for lunch. The food was outstanding....fresh and delicious. Service exceptional. We will definitely return to this place, to eat, in the future.

We were a big group. The food was good but we got overcharged on items we didn't order for. The pizza was cold. The service was also okayish and slow.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. We turned up as 5 adults, 4 kids, and a dog. Though the dog was welcome, we decided to eat outside. The pizzas were excellent, as was the seafood platter. One large disabled male toilet with easy access, and assume female likewise. Only 3 stars for the atmosphere as we were outside. Recommended

Tucked away around a corner this place is worth seeking out. Quite light and airy with great food, even really good value.

The calamari here was some of the best weve ever had, it was great here until the end when we asked for the bill, gentleman gave receipts to us. I got cash and waitress came over. Waitress goes to the door and counts at till, bill & service charge comes to £79 approximately, I gave £80, we start walking to to door I thank the staff.. Then the gentleman decides to "i would have come over to you, guys you need to pay" whilst he was standing to his waitress who is counting the money. I was mortified not only have you accused us of dining and dashing but youve done it in front of everyone. I was really patient, no mint for mojito no problem ill have something else. Not sure if he was just judging the way we look or he was just asking skitz all night.

On a cold February day the warmth of welcome and the excellent food were enough to know we shall be back. The portions were very generous and extremely tasty. Slightly smaller portion of sausage and mash were still be very acceptable, or ok if you have not had a starter. Slight downside is the price of large glass of wine.

The menu is quite limited but the food we ordered was tasty and well presented. Service was very good too and the restaurant is dog friendly. There is no car park, so it's meter parking on the road outside. I suspect this gets very busy in high season. Walking distance to the beach (and ferry.

I have a long tale to share so please be patient. I arrived to this restaurant hungry and weary. They greeted me with a smile and fed me with one of the most amazing pizzas and toffee pudding. I loved the ambience and the staff were so patient and kind. Top notch service. So here is when things went wrong - only from my side. I had travelled here to get inspired and Write. In my hurry to catch the last bus I left my dear Diary and the pen that was gifted to me by my late father. I have an emotional bond with the pen. Unfortunately I realised it when I was already on the train to London next day. I contacted the restaurant through email and Lilli was so kind to send my diary and my beloved pen back to me through mail. Exceptional service. I am so grateful to Lilli. One of the classiest places here. The food and service is exceptional. I will return here once more.

We visited with friends on a Saturday evening. The atmosphere was noisy and very brightly lit which was not conducive for a relaxed evening out. Our Pizzas were tough and flavourless. However our friends enjoyed their sea bass and sausage and mash. The wine was reasonably priced. Sadly it’s another, locally, off our list.

Food and drink was very nice, however when we arrived we were told the only food available was pizza, however everyone one else that came in after us were able to order anything off the menu. Quite annoying as we would have liked to have the option to order some other dishes. Not a very nice way to treat your customers

Stopped in for a beer and quiet time. Beer nice and cold. Lovely staff and quick service. The view not bad either.

Been to this restaurant on many occasions. The food is exceptional, staff friendly and polite. But today this was not good... such a shame! We waited for our starter, I could see it on the side serving hatch waiting to be delivered to our table, I had to ask for it. My beetroot starter was exceptional, my husband had Meatballs, the sauce was really good so much so he complimented the chef for the dish, the sauce was delicious, the the portion size far to big for a starter, he was going to cancel his main course, but was unable to because they cleared our starters as they served our main course to the table, with no break between the courses. Most of his main course had to be left..! For the first time, in our many visit, the noise of dogs was too much. It turned out there were 6/7 dogs inside the restaurant and one outside. Once one barked they all joined in. This is a good restaurant with, an exceptional menu and chef. With enough outside space to restrict dogs to the outside, as other good restaurant in the Sandbanks/Poole/Bournemouth/Christchurch areas do. Before you right us off as people who dislikes dogs, this is far from the truth we have had Great Danes in our family for 24/25 years. Always left them at home when we went to a restaurant. It may be a dog friendly restaurant, but this is overkill, simply put too much.

After an afternoon of windsurfing at Sandbanks, we decided to unwind at Lazy Jacks, and it was the perfect choice! The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, ideal for a post-adventure family meal. We ordered the classic fish and chips, and it was absolutely delicious—crispy batter, tender fish, and the chips were perfectly cooked. It really hit the spot after a day out on the water. I also asked for a shandy, and was pleasantly surprised when I got two different variations—one made with light beer and the other with Guinness. Both were refreshing and delicious in their own ways, offering a unique twist to a classic drink. Overall, the service was friendly and efficient, the food was fantastic, and the drinks added a fun touch to the experience. I would highly recommend Lazy Jacks to anyone in the area, especially after an active day. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy some excellent food and drinks.

First visit for a Sunday lunch since the new owners took over. Just wonderful. Bruschetta with heirloom tomatoes to start - perfect. Roast Beef and all the trimmings including Yorkshire pudding and Cauliflower cheese - spot on. My OH is lactose intolerant, and had fantastic meal as well. Can’t recommend it highly enough.

We initially planned to dine at Rick Stein’s but decided to try Lazy Jacks instead—and we’re so glad we did! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcomed us warmly, even without a reservation. We enjoyed a fantastic meal at an outdoor table, and the service was top-notch. The pizza’s were delicious and the dessert were outstanding. Also the food here is quite reasonably priced for the quality of the food and the service. The atmosphere at Lazy Jacks was relaxed and inviting, a perfect choice compared to the vibe at Rick Stein’s. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

This is a great place to spend a lazy few hours. Be better when the first floor is finished so you can have a better view over the harbour, as all you can see now is back of boats and buildings. Service was a little slow but still, who's in a hurry?

Great food & atmosphere. Went a few months back when they first reopened thinking we would just see how it was and were so blown away we must’ve been back now about 5 or 6 times since. Always something on the menu for everyone including something for the children and out-of-towners when we’ve taken them with us.

Nice restaurant with good service. Kids enjoyed their Mac and cheese and brownies.a bit pricey but lovely food.

We were lucky as we didnt book a table but we managed to get one. Nice food but long wait and the restaurant wasnt even busy.

What a disappointment, we used to love this restaurant before the refurbishment, but the service was apalling (1 1/2 hours for our food), the food average and over-priced and the decor a bit clinical and soulless.

Definitely a five star place and probably the best one to eat around. The food is tasty, the location is good and stuff are friendly and polite. Prices are reasonable too. Perfect for pizza takeaway and enjoy at the beach. Very nice classic margarita pizza. We also tried the fish and chips and the beef burger. All were great. Thank you 👌💫

Great place for a meal, snack or a coffee stop. Been refurbished since our last visit and under new management. Restaurant decor looks fab. Well worth a visit. We will be back

Great food, this is what you eat out for, surprising combinations but great taste and quality. Unfortunately, the young female waiters still have a lot to learn, they prefer to chat rather than pay attention to the customers.

Very nice local restaurant with good quality food. Open kitchen gives you a good vibes. My burger was jucy and delicious, my husband had a very nice thin crust rustic pizza. Definitely recommended!!!

A bit out of my depth but you only live once. Waited a couple of months to visit as it's 3 hours away. Starter with a Burgar for main. Coffee as I don't drink. Nice and quiet inside. Parking on street. Bit of a lucky draw. The two women with thier children, drinking wine, telling them to get of the phones and don"t put elbows on the table. Birthday treat, then let mum drive you home, whilst being over the limit?

We were very happy to see Lazy Jacks had re-opened. We have previously visited several times when staying at a hotel nearby. Food has got even better and internal decor and layout is much smarter. Service was friendly and genuine. An excellent meal, we will be back.

We turned up (family of four +dog) without a booking and the restaurant was really busy, but the waitress was really friendly and quickly cleared table for us. Honestly one of the best meals, I’ve had in a long time. We had the fish platter and meatballs to start 👌🏾 followed by linguine and the sea bass, cooked to perfection. The kids had cheese burgers and it’s safe to say nothing was left but empty plates. Short walk from the beach and well worth the visit!!

Sadly disappointed in our food this visit. A great spot with a good vibe to it, it has recently been redecorated/refurbed since our last visit in summer 2023 & we actually preferred the bright fun feel of it before which embraced what it is rather than the very lovely but more serious beige and black decor. We had burgers for dinner which looked delicious when they turned up, but the meat was one of the worst we’ve had, over cooked, congealed & dark on the outside with a tinge of red to the meat, very dry & overly salty - not a moist tasty burger, I actually couldn’t really eat it as not enjoyable at all. The bacon seemed great quality but undercooked so was a slab of raw fat covered in cheese and the brioche bun was not soft at all. It was all very dry and horrendously salty. The kids pizza was great and kids brownie with ice cream was good afterwards too. It felt a real disappointment & so I don’t think we’ll be returning. I would say a nice spot for a drink but the food is below average based upon all of our visits to date.

The restaurant is lovely and I really like the location in Sandbanks. They are dog friendly. There is parking on the street and you can pay by phone. The food is very nice and well presented. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The staff is polite and friendly. We (10 people) were all very happy and satisfied.

This is a hidden gem! We have eaten here on a few occasions over a few years and has not disappointed on any of them. Great food and atmosphere.

Delicious breakfast … I love the new menu where you can choose your own breakfast. I have a plant based diet so chose avocado, spinach, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes, with an oat milk latte. It was perfect. The staff were so busy but were friendly and helpful and provided service with a smile. Thank you for a lovely start to our day … we will be back very soon.

Very nice and I can say a bit private spot. Beautiful inside with a little outdoor space. Open kitchen also makes a nice vibe. Food is amazing!!!! 10/10 waitresses are very nice but one could not get me asking for additional half avocado to my eggs benedict and kept coming back 4 times. Overall, I really like it and will defo be back if around.

Don't order the vegan burger. They serve it completely plain except for a little thimble of salsa (?). Bizarre and lazy. A rip off to be honest. We're local and won't be returning. A shame. The previous iteration of the restaurant was far better.

After a complicated afternoon getting food was a little bit different, but after a quick call we were in. The food was fresh and fast, the servings were very generous. So pleased that Lazy Jacks has reopened. Went there last night (sat 27th April). Excellent food and service too despite the restaurant being very busy. Our waiter, a young lad called Luke, was very attentive alongside two young ladies. Will definitely be returning. We shared the fish platter to start, my wife had the chicken supreme for mains, spicy meat pizza with skinny fries for myself. Both meals were superb, thank you! 😊😊 Certainly a far more pleasant experience than the nearby Tandy establishment was a few months ago.
