The food at this hotel is an insult to Indian quisine The service and attitude from the waiter was unbearable So so rude,and his appearance 🙄 was like he needed a good wash, his clothes also The girl on reception was lovley. We has the chicken Tika burger which was discusting. It was like rubber and cold chips .they took the chips back and brought fresh . But unfortunately the night had been ruined straight from the start with the waiters attitude,and awful food

We had Sunday lunch here today which was delicious. They do two courses for £16.50 (£9 for children) which for the quality and portion sizes is incredible value for money . The way the food is served in large bowls for you to serve yourself is unique but works well . As a family we had beef, turkey and vegetarian roasts and all were delicious. Roast potatoes and Yorkshire puds are unlimited and being the greedy family we are we asked for more which were quickly brought over. Deserts were delicious too. We were served by a super friendly lady called Rebecca and a very warm and friendly gent whose name I didn’t get. We will be back soon !

I booked a birthday party for my daughter’s 16th. I told them I had less then 30 people eating and they made me pay up to 30 people, said it was a requirement lol. They put me in a massive room which made it look empty. And the djs music sound didn’t sounds great in the room due to it being to big. I told them I had 15 people eating. I paid basically £800 for nothing and they didn’t even throw any free soft drinks in for the children. Of with the buffet . Knowing I had under 30 people I can’t believe they charged me for food that would not be eaten and just thrown away. There was only one person doing everything and the woman at the desk was getting the guy who was supposed to be managing our party to do all room checks so he kept disappearing when people wanted drinks. Staff are rude and sound snobby which is completely odd since it’s not a very posh hotel and very standard. I’ve had friendly staff in hotels that cost me 5 grand for a week. The guy managing the party kept saying things like, why are there not many people, are you sad people are leaving. Room is to big and not many people. Not sure if his intentions was to try and make me feel bad but it angered me. They wouldn’t even let some people take their food home in a doggy bag. Overall I was massively overcharged and should have been put in a smaller room. That room should be a 40 person requirement! And they lack good quality alcohol! Serving cheap rubbish at a high price. Rooms are cold with the most old fashioned heating systems. TVs are small and old! Beds are like sleeping on wood and hay. Shower temperatures are rather very hot or Luke warm. Faulty towers!

Went to Xmas party here in December. Place was scruffy, carpet all stained with old sofas in entrance. Turkey dinner was luke warm and tasteless, drinks from the bar very expensive. Worst Xmas party I ever went to.

This spot is magnificent. I came here for a wedding and I was to say the least impressed! The food and service from the kind staff was excellent. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to have a wedding or another function at this great venue.

We were at hotel for a 2 night stay, we were attending a wedding. Mixed bag. Room lovely clean and big .pillows terrible, welcome tray sparce, Max the wedding planner fab. Just needs to smarten up a bit, Food lovely for wedding. Breakfast cold ,plenty of choice but aired..Could do with crossants or pain da choclate. Drinks are ridiculous price..Guiness £6 for a can!!

We came to a works Christmas Party Night (table of 12) this weekend and felt like I couldn’t not leave a review. We have visited a different venue for the last 5 years and now wouldn’t go anywhere else! The food was delicious and piping hot, plenty of choices for dietary requirements too. The décor was absolutely stunning!! Even had a fire place with dancing LED flames and individual centre pieces on every table. The Grinch theme was executed perfectly with themed cocktails and drinks, we ordered 3 jugs which were gorgeous. The entertainment was absolutely spot on, kept us all laughing throughout the evening. It is the first time we have celebrated Christmas as Lazaat and have to say our booking is guaranteed for 2024.

Xmas party night.We booked an overnight stay and the room itself was very clean and spacious. The Xmas party itself the starter was good but the turkey dinner itself was very disappointing indeed not a lot of food on the plate and was only warm dessert not to bad. The dj could have been better and the price for drinks at the bar is very expensive indeed would I return yes but not to a party night. Breakfast was good but needed some pastry’s and the toasters take ages.

I booked the Monsoon Suite to celebrate my 70th birthday. The event went without a hitch due to all my needs being heard and met. The food was delicious and was echoed by all my guests who said it was outstanding and they even did a special meal for a friend of mine who is lactose intolerant. Rebecca was amazing making sure my needs were met on the night with a friendly and efficient manner and nothing was too much trouble. I would also say this was good vale for money.

Magically wedding day for my Brother and Brother-in-law...Very well looked after by the venue and staff. The roast beef for 40+ guests was perfect. Plenty of guests chose to stay the night. So thrilled that it went so well.

Probably the worst burger I have ever had! Chicken was super thin and burnt and the onion Bhaji inside the burger was cremated! Very very disappointing.

Attended venue for a training course. Myself and others on the training course contracted food poising from our buffet from the on site restaurant. Avoid eating here at all cost. All off work with sickness and upset stomachs.

Had our day 25th June 2023. The hotel as a wedding venue and food were excellent. Max our wedding master was amazing coordinating our day and evening. Nothing was too much trouble. Only negative air conditioning was broken and we weren't forwarned. (Had been broken a while) The hottest day of the year and only 1 fan supplied for our wedding breakfast for 50 guests. Ceremony suite was uncomfortably hot for guests while waiting and so was the wedding breakfast room. Had we known we could of advised guests to at least bring mini fans. Review given direct to lazaats and the owner/manager hasn't even had the decency to respond or apologise. Happy to take our money with no aftercare and they only share reviews that have no negativity in them, shame.

Well James the bar manager was a joke he is no manager and needs training in customer services. He was rude sarcastic and could not conduct himself professionally. Spoilt a good night.

Nice hotel with good value for money, more like a 4 star hotel than 3 star. Staff were friendly and our room was clean and comfortable. Nice big car park with plenty of free parking and the hotel is easy to drive to. Would definitely stay there again.

I required the use of a conference room for a business meeting. Throughout the whole booking process the staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, including a site visit beforehand to discuss requirements. On the date of the conference everything was ready and set out as per our requirements. There was plenty of space in the conference room, including a relaxing break out area adjacent to the room and also plenty of parking. There is also a bar, both within the conference room and also the main bar. The hotel is in a lovely setting, overall I was really pleased.

Only stayed for the one night, but was not disappointed with the stay. The hotel was quite empty (time of year) and lacking atmosphere due to just a few people, we are sure this is different when the hotel is busy. We had an Executive Double room which had a "proper" King size bed and all the normal facilities you would expect from a hotel of this type. The only down side was the room was chilly and didn't seem to warm up. The Full English was plentiful and the staff were helpful and happy.

Myself and my husband (eekk) can not thank the staff at lazaats enough for all they did to help ensure we had the most wonderful wedding day. Simon and Steph were fantastic nothing was too much trouble. Our room looked absolutely stunning, the food was incredible and Steve the DJ that was provided gave us all the best night out. Our room was perfect, honestly I am not one to write reviews but this venue deserves the 5 stars and more.Thank you lazaats for giving us a day to remember always xx

I have been attending Lazaat for many years mainly as a business venue for my Consultancy. I have also stayed there overnight on quite a few occasions plus my daughter got married there.Love the atmosphere and food is fabulous. The management and staff are always friendly so I had no hesitation in booking 10 rooms and one of the Conference rooms for the following day when one of my groups of professionals wanted to have a residential. We all had a good time and many of the delegates who hadn't stayed over at Lazaat before said that they would like to do so again.

I can honestly say that I have traveled all over the world eating and drinking. Not only top places but very back street places and this is the Worst service ever. One of the first things people require is a drink when they arrive at a venue. I tried twice to get to the bar but to no avail. I had two warm bottles of beer which some one else bought so I then tried the white wine which again was warm so finally got some ice to try and cool it. No air conditioning it was like an oven had to go outside. We left just after 10 o’clock could not stand it anymore. This is the second time both experiences have been the same. I will not go back again. I just feel very sorry for the family who invited us it was not their fault.

First visit to Lazzat for a 21st Birthday celebration and initial thoughts were what a beautiful place, that soon changed. Considering how many people were in attendance the bar was poorly staffed, at one point the wait for a drink was 30 minutes because the staff kept disappearing bizarrely, we started with 5 staff but then this soon changed to 2 at one point.Then abruptly the bar was closed due to an alleged incident, clearly something did happen but they were totally unwilling to discuss or even corroborate, so now we have a 21st Birthday party that will be remembered for the wrong reasons. You are only 21 once and this was not a dress rehearsal so thank you Lazzat for nothing!!!!!Needless to say this was the first and now the last visit.

To say this event Had been planned and booked many months in advance and they knew how many people was coming and got told pacifically to open both bars they didn’t do much, over 150 people come to celebrate our friends birthday and spent more time waiting at the bar to get a drink. I wouldn’t be attending this venue again.

Went to a 21st which was a lovely venue. The service was appalling taking half an hour to be served. The staff couldn’t cope and ruined the night

As myself and my fiancee are getting married in the Imani suite in 2022 - we thought we'd give the restaurant a try to check out the food we'll be eating - and we really weren't disappointed. The restaurant setting, which is the Imani suite, was immaculately laid out and we were met by a very polite and attentive member of staff who guided us to our table, already set out with a highchair for our 1 year old. As our daughter has some severe allergies, the staff quickly checked with the kitchen to see if her food was suitable, and this was dealt with in a quick manner. We were the first to order our food and this came out within 10-15 minutes; the Sunday chicken dinner was outstanding - Yorkshire puddings, carrots, parsnips and roast potatoes with some broccoli and cauliflower on the side - we could have eaten a double portion it was that good. The desserts were just as good, with the lemon tart and apple tart being must buys! Also, the kids meal of chicken, chips and peas (there are other options including vegetarian and gluten free) was ginormous and a little too big for our one year old - but she still ate some and found it incredibly tasty. All in all - this definitely verified why we've chosen to have our special day at Lazaat's and in the Imani suite - the room is beautiful, the staff fantastic and the food excellent. A must do if living in the local area!

Whilst staying at Raywell we decided to take a visit here for a birthday meal. My partner had the Lamb Curry and Rice and I had the fish and chips. The food wasn’t bad, you certainly got your monies worth!! although the curry was a lot hotter/spicier than expected. The fish was cooked really well and the chips were lovely. If we were to try here again we would maybe try a different day and maybe when it’s busier as it was very quiet with only a few people in there which takes away from the atmosphere.

We have been to Lazaats for a meal quite a few times, but particularly love the Sunday lunch there. The food is plentiful and good quality, and the service is great, everyone is very friendly. The price is just £12 for Sunday lunch (loads of meat and veg) and a pudding (difficult to decide which one to choose!).We had our two young grandchildren with us and they were made very welcome, plus there is plenty of space so you don't feel as though they may be impacting on other guests.Very highly recommended (curry night is also really good!) and we will definitely be back.

Went here for a family meal on Sunday. Took advantage of their excellent Sunday lunch menu which includes Sunday dinner, with all the trimmings, plus a desert and tea or coffee. The value for money is superb and the puddings are exceptional. We have tried many places in the surrounding area for Sunday dinner and not found anywhere that comes close. Service was very good and we were made to feel extremely welcome.

A lovely Sunday lunch was enjoyed by ourselves and daughter and family. The set lunch is always nicely presented, on this occasion roast beef with all the trimmings. Desserts are included in the price and there is no skimping on quality with a good choice to satisfy any palate. All rounded off with tea or coffee for £12 - excellent value and worth another visit.

Charity event with meal, drinks and stay over. Very good food and venue. A little short staffed due to unplanned absences but those that attended did well. Accommodation good.

We've been to Lazaat three times over the last couple of months: once for Curry Night (with friends in December), which was excellent, then the last two Sundays we have been for Sunday lunch (in February, once with my sons, the other with husband and friends), which was absolutely fantastic.The curry night is an all you can eat self-service and the quality of the food was excellent. Good value too. The dining room was empty other than a table with girls and a young child, but our evening was spoiled by the child being left to run around the dining room shouting/screaming. This was really awful and dangerous for the staff carrying food, the staff were not pleased about it, but said it is difficult to do/say anything. Why do people think it is ok to let their children behave in this way?As for the Sunday lunch - wow! Main course, pud and coffee or tea for just £12 - what an absolute bargain! My husband didn't join us when I ate their he first time, but I told him how fantastic it was ... and even so, he was still blown away by the quality and quantity of the food, and also the price. Both times we ate 4.30/5pm and it was very quiet which we prefer - no small/badly behaved children were there for either visit :) Every time we have been, the service has been excellent. Honestly, we have never been able to fault anything.We will definitely be going back regularly and will recommend Lazaat to everyone for a high quality Sunday lunch at a great price!

As the organiser of the Charity Night on 22nd Nov 2019 we had a brilliant night. The food was delicious given they catered for 160 people! The staff could not do enough for us - they were efficient, organised and polite. The Pavilion is beautiful. Many guests stayed over night in lovely rooms, amazing value and a great breakfast the next day.To top it all Naveed donated the venue, food and staff to our Charity (Jacob's Well Appeal) for the third year running. This generous giving meant we raised so much more money & we raised £8,600. Lazaat is very generous with its support for local charities.For a special occasion, large function or intimate dinner/Sunday lunch it is a perfect place and you will be well looked after.

Buffet for Sunday lunch was excellent. Big range of hot food. If the measure is that we ate too much - it was good.

We have visited several times and had gorgeous Sunday roasts at Lazaat. The roast beef is melt In our mouth, the gravy is the best I’ve ever tasted with proper tasty vegetables and huge Yorkshire puddings. A real treat! The puddings are also beautifully presented and divine! Fabulous value!

We booked in for a Sunday and Monday night stay. We were told that there would be a wedding on the Sunday and that there may be disturbance until after midnight. We were pleased they had mentioned this but still went ahead with our booking. As it happened we were placed in a room as far from the wedding as was possible and we were not disturbed at all. Very considerate we thought. We had an evening meal on the Sunday and had to wait for a while but the staff aware of the wait offered us free drinks without us having to mention the delay. Again we thought this was very considerate.

My wife, daughter, son in law and 2 year old grand daughter attended last Sunday for a Sunday roast. The waitress who showed us to our table was very polite and nothing was too much trouble.

We had buffet for 30 participants following running event. Went a bit more up market for our runners/cyclists as local pub was closed. Glad we did and all really enjoyed the food, ambiance and venue.

Had Sunday lunch here over six times and food always been gorgeous. We had the slow cooked roast beef which comes in a huge serving dish with roasted veggies and giant Yorkshire puddings. Extra veg and jugs of tasty gravy brought to you as well.

Had a lovey Sunday lunch with a dessert, both very generous portion sizes and great service. Would definitely recommend.

Visited here for the first time for Sunday lunch. We had the choice of beef or chicken with Yorkshire pudding and veg and roast potatoes or a help yourself hot buffet. The buffet had some amazing looking food including a chicken curry and a beef dish and about 4 other choices. I would have really liked to try the buffet but unfortunately the only accompaniment was rice or salad, no potatoes or chips. The beef meal we had was delicious and unusually presented in a casserole dish for 2 people with the cauliflower, mange tout and broccoli on a separate dish. Included in the price was a dessert and there was a good choice and tea or coffee. Very good value for £12 per person in lovely surroundings.

Lovely food and great service, had our wedding venue at the hotel also we had a Handfasting in the grounds, amazing place. All staff very helpful, thank you to all who helped us.

I did not stay at the hotel but attended a private party where meal choices had to be pre-ordered. I chose the sirloin steak which sadly was the worst steak I have ever had in a restaurant. It was cold, smelt and tasted of fat, extremely tough and full of sinewy threads which even a steak knife couldn't cut through. I gave up after three mouthfuls! I didn't complain at the time as I did not want to embarrass the person who had organised the party but I did discreetly mention my dissatisfaction to the waitress when she collected in the used plates. She just said she 'was sorry about that' and walked away. Must be a lesson there somewhere!

Where to start myself and my husband would like to say a massive thank you to Lazats and all the staff for letting us hold our special day with yourselfs. All the staff was friendly and happy to help with anything we needed. The food was beautiful all our guests commented how amazing the food was the 3 course meal and also the buffet.

We held our wedding at lazaats March 2019 the staff couldn’t do enough for us on the day, the food was absolutely delicious and perfect. Would definitely recommend lazaats for a wedding as the gardens are lovely for photos and the venue it’s self. Thank you again Mr and Mrs simpson

We decided to book this meal after my daughter has booked her wedding reception here for two years time, so it could have backfired on us if the meal wasn’t very good. We shouldn’t have worried we didn’t get one bad meal and there were six of us. There was a good selection to choose from and the service was quick, I even changed my mind on which pudding to have half way through the meal as they all were so good to look at. The meal each cost £12.95 where else can you get a top notch three course meal from for so little. They are doing a father day menu which again is great value for money.

We simply called Naveed the owner with view to looking at hiring the venue for a small engagement of 80 people, with food provided. The initial lady call handler and event planner was very polite and courteous and said she would call me back with a price. Naveed decided to call me himself in the most patronising tone and assumptions I have ever experienced in my life. He simply assumed that because we have Asian background, we were looking at cheap deals. He went on and on about how he has Asian background and how he knows ‘how stuff like this works’. I was simply enquiring for prices per head, and explained a starting point could be to give a cost parameter per person. He took a hostile and agggrssive tone and said he cannot cater for us simply because he assumed we were looking for a cheap deal. We actually had a healthy budget of around £25k for the wedding but we will not be going anywhere near Lazaaat, for the simple racist mentality he displayed. Avoid this place like a plague. He was simply a arrogant person on the phone and I hate to think how my sisters engagement would have gone if he was in charge of the greeting guests. Learn manners and customer care Naveed.

Have been here twice now for a wedding, it is a very nice venue for a wedding, and the food was very good, very nice outside areas toilet areas, staff are very pleasant and helpful overall a lovely place

Held a birthday party for my wife in the Monsoon Suite for 30 friends and relations. The main room was very comfortable with a bar and a side room which contained the extensive buffet when it was required.There was also a Disco with DJ supplied by the Hotel at my request The bar staff and catering help where assigned to us for the whole event and they were all happy and very enthusiastic to help. After a very enjoyable evening ourselves and and several friends stayed the night in very comfortable rooms with a full buffet breakfast the next morning. A most enjoyable occasion.

We held our wedding here last year in the Monsoon suite. We couldn’t have asked for anything better. The room was perfect, food delicious including the evening buffet and all staff were lovely and made the day run perfectly. The grounds were gorgeous and made some great photos. We would highly recommend this venue and will be returning to visit the restaurant in the future.

Fantastic Sunday lunch, the best we have had in fact! We were a table of 7 plus a pram and we all had so much room on the big round table. Lovely relaxing atmosphere and very family friendly. Beer selection wasn’t too bad for a hotel either. The Sunday lunch is served as a sharer which is great as you can just take what you can eat, great for a family with different appetites. Would highly recommend.

Last Sunday our large family party met for lunch at Lazaat to celebrate our grandson's 16th birthday and we all feasted superbly. My wife enjoyed the buffet, lots of choice, well presented and delicious. I opted for the Sunday roast, succulent beef, honey roast parsnips, roast potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding the size of a one man tent, carrots and greens, followed by Eton Mess for pudding. Highly recommended.

We would really not have thought to go here for Sunday lunch and we live locally! Great value at £10 for two courses - I had the buffet which had fresh salads and a range of selections catering for me as a vegetarian and partner had the roast. Waiter was just lovely and food arrived quickly. We will be back and will tell others.

Tried the Sunday lunch and we were pleasantly surprised by the good buffet choice as well as the roast option. Service attention was good but delivery was a little slow .. At just £10 per person for a two course menu it was great value for good quality food. Will definitely go again.

Booked to spend the evening at Lazaat with 2 friends as we thought it was quite a good deal.

The Pavilion Suite was booked in order to host a breakfast event for members of our running club. We wanted a venue which would give us access to countryside in which to lead a trail run, then somewhere to host a breakfast and space to play a few games. Lazaat more than fit the bill. The suite was the perfect size for our group of 50 (adults and children). The food we had ordered (bacon rolls/egg rolls) were brought out at the agreed time for guests and there was no hesitation in refilling the tea and coffee urns. They also put a member of staff on the bar for those who wanted their reward for running 6 miles to be a little bit stronger! The room was laid out ready for our arrival, in the way we had agreed beforehand, and they enabled us to put our own Christmas music on in the background. Overall, great value for money and the fact that we ended up on the hotel's Instagram page thanks to all of our festive outfits was an added bonus! We'll definitely be looking to use Lazaat again for similar events.

A brilliant family meal, the roast beef dinner is the best you can get and far exceeds local carvery joints. At just £10 per adult including a delicious desert it is great value for money. Served in large platters with the best yorkshire Puds and gravy. Children £5. Lovely meal.

Just had a fantastic Sunday roast & Buffet meal at Lazaat’s with the family. Really friendly staff and very accommodating! Great value for money! Would definitely recommend! Curry night on a Tuesday is also very good!!

We went with friends for a Christmas meal on 23rd December and firstly we were not eating in the restaurant but a draughty function room with all the atmosphere of a dockside warehouse- well worse actually. Service was abysmal and the food not worth waiting for. Not anything like it used to be. Never again

Third visit recently for Sunday lunch excellent value,great service,relaxing atmosphere,lovely food what more can one say. A great place to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon with the family and not having to cook.

My first visit to Lazaat and this was a Christmas party with work. There were 19 of us in our party and approximately 60 people in total in the function room. Large round tables, a bar and a good sized dance floor for the room and number of people. Slight hiccup as they had only set enough places and chairs for 18 in our party even though we had already paid in full for 19. However this was quickly sorted.

Attended the works Christmas do there , great company shocking food .

Went for Sunday buffet lunch. Brilliant service and the food was delicious. Plenty of vegetarian options. We would definitely go again.

We were a party of over 20 people sat on three tables. We all had a great time, food was very good, entertainment was provided by a Robbie Williams tribute so the place was rocking. Great night thank you Lazaat

We attended the Robbie Williams Tribute Xmas party night and had an amazing time. There was a party of 12 and we were all sat on one round table which was great for chatting - very sociable. Meal was lovely and hot and service very good. Staff friendly and attentive, although a bit of a Q for the bar, but to be expected at an Xmas doo. Stayed overnight which was great value for money at £50 B&B; - rooms were nice and breakfast very good - beats waiting for taxi home. Would highly recommend - fantastic time had by all.

We went here to celebrate my husband’s birthday along with his family. The Sunday dinners are gorgeous, bursting with flavour and plenty to fill your tummy! The value for money is exceptional with 2 courses for £10 and £5 for children. We visit this restaurant a lot on a Sunday due to the superb value. Highly recommend.

Whilst the previous reviews show a very different experience, I can confidently say that this wasn’t the case for ourselves.

We attended a friends 50th birthday party a couple of months ago and could not fault the evening. The room was set out with decorations and very personalised! We really enjoyed the buffet food (always an important part of a party :) ) and the staff at the bar were very attentive when we asked for a specific tonic and they went to find us this without any questions asked. Overall a fab evening and can’t wait to return for a wedding reception in a few weeks time!

Myself and my work colleagues attended the Christmas party on 1st December. The evening was ok... typical works party that you’d expect, plenty of drink, cheesy music and generally a good laugh within the room.

We married here 11 years ago and had a fantastic time with many great meals over the following years.

We decided to go back to Lazzats for our Christmas Party 1st December 2018 as we enjoyed ourselves last year. Really wished we had chosen somewhere different......

I have never written a bad review previously, however, I feel compelled to leave this review as I was appalled after attending one of their Christmas functions last week. I will concentrate on my complaints as these far outweigh any positive experience I had on the evening. Firstly, on arriving, my colleague was served with a glass that was split, no great deal, but this is where the bad experience started. I later asked for some ice in my drink and was told "we don't have any"! A bar with no ice??? On sitting down to eat myself and my colleagues were asked which starter we would like, soup or pate. Thank goodness I asked for the soup, which, by the way, was tasteless. Some of my colleagues asked for pate and were issued with a plate of something that resembled cat food and didn't taste much better. And so to the main course, vegetarian or traditional Christmas dinner. At this time I requested some water for the table and a pint of water was dumped in front of me, I had to explain that we needed a jug of water and a plastic jug was put on the table for us. A colleague who ordered the vegetarian option described it as "awful" and didn't eat it. Most of us ordered an inedible Christmas dinner, roast potatoes hard as rocks, some soggy sprouts and some so hard they couldn't be consumed. The turkey was so dry it stuck in your throat and the stuffing not much better. The vegetables left little to the imagination. Most of us left nearly all our main course. Then to dessert Christmas pudding or chocolate cake. Synthetic chocolate cake that tasted nothing like chocolate and non descript Christmas Pudding and custard. No coffee afterwards.

The Irish Association of Hull and East Yorkshire held their Annual Inaugural Dinner at Lazaats again this year on the 25th October, 2018. Once again, we were not disappointed. From the moment of booking the venue to the event itself, we could not have received better service and consideration. The meal was, as always, delicious and the waitresses who looked after us could not have been more helpful and professional. Everyone enjoyed the evening and we hope to go there again next year.

Attended here for a retirement function. Everything we asked for was in place, staff were friendly, attentive and helpful. Food was served at our requested time, the food being hot (and stayed hot too), plenty of it and very tasty. We booked a DJ too and he played the genre that we asked for all evening. Great send off into retirement and would recommend without hesitation for this type of function, thank you.

I attended an event at Lazaats recently, of which I'm not going to disclose so as to not upset the people who had organised it.

This place let us down on several points for a party organised over a year before. The manager is a very aggressive man who does not have any customer service skills. Dad spent a fortune on food wine and accommodation for 40 people and when things went wrong due to his staff errors he did not bother. My mother is wheelchair bound and a room was booked with disabled access however someone damaged the lift and it could not be fixed (not the hotel fault) but the disabled room was on 2nd floor and she could not use the room at the venue so had to book a different hotel in Hull several miles away. My parents are both elderly and were extremely inconvenienced by not being given a room on the ground floor in the first place. They were not offered an immediate refund. The food was also only mediocre and chicken tasted burnt. Will avoid this place like the plague. We were not the only people affected by the lift being vandalised and I felt that the staff did not really sympathise with the disabled visitors.

Went for Sunday lunch. Just over a tenner for 2 courses. Staff nice. Price of drinks not too bad. Food was nice and came with roasties and 4 other veg. Small things annoyed me. Dirty cutlery. No atmosphere. Maybe some music in the background would be nice. Bare tables. They could make it nicer. Would not go back but your not being robbed by the price charged.

Visited midweek for a meal in the restaraunt. It was really poor. The restaurant looked tired, no atmosphere however the boy serving did well. When I ordered calamari I did not expect frozen squid rings, which I did not eat. The main course was awful, nothing fresh about the meal at all. Everything was below average. I expected a fresh well cooked and well presented meal instead I went home feeling ill and needed my mouth cleaning to remove the grease. Really disappointing

So here's an email I had to send to the manager - Naveed, because he refused to meet with my cousin and I time and time again, simply because my cousin isn't my husband - like as thought that matters.

Went for the summer barby. Not impressed. Served by table. Food ran out . They must know how many are due. No apologies. Long queues at the bar. Not worth the money.
