Huge breakfast, beautifully cooked. In a sheltered housing complex but everyone so fried.

Food was fine and plentiful. 3 out of 4 of us couldn't finish their small full breakfast. Tomatoes were dull, mushroom delicious. Waitress was very friendly and made specific arrangements for our order (without this or that) and even added hashbrowns. Welcoming team. Unexpected hidden café in a retirement village. Prices were very reasonable. Less £25 for 4pers.

My Wife and I happened to find this venue when moored on the canal. We popped into Mancetter to check out the church and see if we could find lunch somewhere. It was a perfect find. Unusual but definitely worth the visit. I had sausages mash and peas while Sallie had a jacket potato beans coleslaw and salad. Both very plentiful plates. Neither of us could eat all our food but only because we aren’t used to such big meals. Highly recommend the venue for breakfast or lunch. Good value for money. Good food and excellent. Service.

Enjoyed great tasting breakfast - Large for him and Small for her - very reasonable price including tea. Friendly staff, nice location overlooking the garden. Handy for a healthy walk and good food.

Hygiene rating 5* one more than another local eatery we tried. Open to 2.30pm ... later than some nearby. Bright, modern, with a patio by a pleasant garden. Plenty of space between tables. Staff were very friendly. Coffee cup is big. A good find. More garden tables than shown in pic. I am from Staffs and have no connection with business or owners.

We were here for a rest, breakfast, tea, coffee, takeaway cake. Chat with the people running the place. What better could anyone want. Bring your van, push bike, or arrive on foot. The breakfast is fresh, yummy. I will be back. Had a great time there, cheers. It's just about the place, the journey and the planning of the day.

On a busy Thursday lunchtime in January, I found this lovely pub filled with friendly faces. Luckily, there was a cosy spot available in the conservatory, and they even offered to turn on the heating for me, but I was perfectly comfortable as it was. This place has got something special going on, especially since it’s been run by the same family for many years! I decided to treat myself to their super popular steak pie with chips and mushy peas. At £17, which included a drink, it was worth it! The homemade pie was delicious, and I enjoyed great views while I savoured my meal!

Had a fabulous meal here, it was the flambé night experience something you rarely see these days as it uses up area for extra tables. Good quality, fantastic service, great fresh food and good value. We felt very spoilt.
