L'assaggino tiene algunos elementos inusuales del menú con un enfoque en Sardina. La comida está bien - cocinada y sabrosa - sobre todo pasta y pizza. Sentí que es bastante caro en comparación con otros restaurantes similares y el pulpo era agradable, pero una porción bastante pequeña por £ 12. 50 . Hay una buena selección de vinos pero sería bueno que hicieran garrafas de 500 ml y 375 ml.

Comida sarda sencilla, sencilla, tradicional y de calidad. Excelente servicio y ambiente agradable. Muy recomendable.

Myself and my Partner ate here last Saturday, my new favourite Italian in Kingston! I can’t believe I’ve not found this place before. We had the fresh pasta with 6 hours cooked lamb ragu, it was delicious. The wine was great and the desserts were excellent. Really fresh, real Italian. The service was friendly, relaxed and informative, just right. It’s a Deli also, I’d love to come back for lunch and sample the meats and cheeses on show. I would definitely recommend L’assaggino Kingston, it made for a perfect evening. The atmosphere was relaxed and romantic.

This deli-cum-restaurant is located away from Kingston's town centre. The service was fine but the quality of the dishes served did not justify the relative high prices. Our burrata starter was £12 but did not have the rich creamy texture you would expect from fresh burrata. Our main of octopus ragú was served with spaghetti and fresh clams. Unfortunately, the rich tomato based ragú completely overpowered the delicate flavour of the clams. Lastly our panna cotta desert was a bit of a disaster as it had failed to set and had a texture similar to ice cream...it just collapsed on the plate when sticking a spoon into it. Our bill for 1 starter, 2 mains, 1 desert and 2 small glasses of wine came to nearly £100 with the obligatory 12.5% service charge.

So this was a lovely surprise and a great addition to Kingston food options. This was proper cooking in a relaxed environment. We loved the fresh pasta which was delicious and presented with real care. The special home made apple cake was also a highlight. The team looked after us very well. This is going to be a new regular place for us.

Popped in after 9pm on a Wednesday evening and managed to score an Italian feast and some cheer. Very worthwhile, will be recommending to everyone!

All the dishes are beautifully cooked and presented and the taste is likewise. The waiters are friendly and helpful. I’d thoroughly recommend this small restaurant.

Valentines night in L'assaggino. Great atmosphere, great food, and great service from Stephanie. Authentic local italian restaurant and deli in the heart of North Kingston.

My first visit last night, already planning a return. A wide ranging menu of what's best in Italian/Sardinian food. We had 3 courses, all 4 of us were delighted with each of our choices. Although I didn't drink the wine, the others were more than happy. Instead I enjoyed Sardinia's superb beer, Ichnusa. Friendly atmosphere.

Been here a few times for dinner & love it. Food is always superb, authentic Sardinian cuisine, decent wine list & great service. Recommended

We live in Kingston and always go out for a meal in the same restaurants in the area. Most a very nice. But we wanted to try somewhere different and I googled restaurants in Kingston and this one came up and had good reviews, so we decided to try. The restaurant is very simple and is a mixture of café/restaurant. The staff, a lovely girl, was really pleasant and nice. The food was excellent and the wine very good. It will be one of my favorite home made food in Kingston with an elegant taste. This will be one of my regulars!

First visit. Enjoyed carefully prepared, authentic cuisine with efficient, friendly service. Hope to return.

We often visit L’assaggino restaurants and the level of service and food quality is always top. Manolo and Stefania always make us feel like at home. That is why I decided to organise my 40th birthday party in there. More than 30 guest, family and friends, AMAZING PARTY! Everyone enjoy the food (and drinks, ahahah). Manolo organised an amazing party that I will never forget. Thanks so much to make a special day an Amazing day.

We have been to LAssagino in Richmond a few times and it’s a firm favorite. So we thought we’d try the Kingston version as we were over there. It’s a little way out of central Kingston (very close to the hospital) but worth the short bus ride. As in Richmond the pasta dishes are superb. This one doubles up as a deli, which gave it an odd ambience, but the staff were wonderful. As said above, pasta excellent, but panna cotta to die for. Best I’ve ever eaten.

Il locale è situato in una zona residenziale molto carina, non lontana dal centro. Riprende il discorso delle piccole botteghe italiane unendolo anche alla ristorazione. Da un lato vi è il cibo di qualità da asporto con burrate, lasagne, salumi e formaggi italiani, mentre dall'altra ci si può sedere a gustare alcuni piatti della cucina tradizionale italiana rivisitati dal titolare. Londra è presente in questo locale con la sua commistione di idee. Titolare preparato, gentile e simpatico

Lovely Italian spot. Took the family for lunch on a Sunday so just a couple of starters and some pizzas all round. Really delicious with very fresh ingredients with my wife's pizza crowned with an entire burrata. The deli counter was too tempting as well so was able to pick up some Guanciale for carbonara cooking. Lovely staff and clearly a popular spot for expats with several families coming in speaking Italian which is always a good sign. Note for families, the pizzas were huge and delicious so too much for our boys but boxed up and will be great leftovers. Will return soon!

I was quite disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. Firstly, the service was a bit slow. I only had a juice and biscuit as there wasn't really anything ''snacky'' on the menu. So, I can't comment on the food. However, once I left the restaurant I was chased down the road for not paying. Also the waitress wanted to charge me £8 but I already paid £4,50 when I ordered, so I had to go back to the restaurant with her and she frantically tried to find the paid bill (as I said I had paid) she couldn't find it and I was just left waiting. Knowing that I paid, I said I had to go to an appointment, the waitress didn't apologize but just gave me a weird look. I don't appreciate being accused of not paying never mind the awkwardness of being chased down the road for it!

Having the family together to celebrate a birthday, this was our choice and what a good one! The food and service are always impressive, with a friendly front of house team keeping service running at a proper pace whilst the kitchen produces some delicious and authentic Italian and Sardinian food. The parmigiana is to die for, the fregola takes you back to a Cagliari sunset, and although the wine list is short they've picked out decent quality at sensible prices with something on it for everyone. For a classic dessert you can't go wrong with a homemade tiramisu.
