Tried to order a takeaway but it was constantly engaged this seems to be the norm for this place ,after half an hour gave up and went somewhere else

Ordered two salt and chilli boxes , arrived super fast, unfortunately they sent the wrong boxes! Phones the shop an the lady said the driver would return with correct food! After waiting some time I rang the shop back an the manager answered to say they was closing ect! I said the staff said my food was on way, she said no one was on way, the food I had was now cold due to waiting for driver to collect when bringing new food! I ordered food at 8.30 it was now 9.30. The manager then said she would personally make my food an drop it to me on the way home after she shut up shop. After waiting till 11PM I realised the owner Lied an never brought my food! I spent £30 an food that was wrong an now freezing cold! Not one member of staff but 2 including manager told me my correct food was on way so I waited! Went to bed hungry an frustrated! I wouldn’t recommend this service, disgusting behaviour

For 38 years we as a family ate at another Chinese takeaway in Roath. The owners sold and the food was never the same. So with trepidation we tried Lantern Garden. It was in our local area and reviews were good. Well; let me tell you, the food was gorgeous. We had a chicken lantern box for £9. It has fried rice, chips, chicken balls, sweetened sour chicken, mini spring rolls and a curry sauce. It was delivered hot (only delivery available atm) for a fee of £1.50. Will definitely be a regular customer.

Si está buscando un chino sabroso, caliente y de precio razonable, ¡no busque más! Comida increíble, no puedo recomendar lo suficiente!

Acabo de usar este chino por primera vez esta noche. La entrega fue rápida a pesar de que nos llevó un tiempo llegar, ya que obviamente estaban ocupados. Horario estelar el sábado por la noche. La comida era deliciosa y todavía muy caliente cuando llegó. No hay nada que criticar y definitivamente lo usaré nuevamente pronto.

Mientras nos hospedamos en una posada local, llegamos tarde y necesitamos encontrar comida, utilizando el asesor de viaje que le dimos al Lantern Garden hace y no nos decepcionó. Tuvimos 4 comidas y un arroz grande, la comida estaba bien preparada, caliente y sabrosa y tenía el mismo precio que lo que pagaríamos en casa. Definitivamente vale la pena las 4 + estrellasTeníamos pollo agridulce al estilo de Hong Kong, costillas a la barbacoa y chow mein de pollo con arroz frito con huevo.

Lantern fried rice and sweet and sour pork were ok but the Beef curry was watery insipid rubbish.Probably give this take away a miss.

Food is great but bloke that takes the orders is a donut he’s goin to ruin there business if they don’t get rid of him

Second visit tonight for food and once again cannot fault it. Will definetly be ordering from here again.

I go here quite alot its the best chinese i have had in a long time. The chicken balls are amazing. They not greasy. The spare ribs are lush. The meat just falls off. I would definitely recommend this chinese. You wont be disappointed

Only been here twice after being recommended. it's really good. All cooked to order.. which you'd expect. 5 * scores on the doors rating, clean, friendly and yummy food.
