Nice hotel. Some areas need a fresh lick of paint but it is a very good hotel for families with young children. Good prices for what is offered. Food is very good. Rooms are a good size. Staff are friendly. Lots of parking spaces

Staff at reception were excellent always happy to help, the pool was great for us with two young children. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice of hot and cold options. The room was a good size with a newly fitted bathroom and Aircon too.

Our 4th visit to this lovely hotel. Three generations thoroughly enjoyed their stay. We parked the car and enjoyed walking and taking the train. Bus stops are also very convenient for visitors to the hotel. It's our 4th different room, all were clean and well appointed. Thank you.

First visit. Excellent welcome by all of the team. Hotel was very relaxing, well layed out with tasteful decor. Wonderful grounds to wonder for adults and children. Was staying with a group of friends. We all had a wonderful time Lovely food breakfasts and dinners.rooms were good ,comfortable and clean. Lovely bathrooms also very clean .All in all we had almost enjoyable weekend .Lovely walks during the daytime. One way down to Dawlish Warren and the other way to Dawlish.

Lovely family run hotel. Room was spacious, clean and well serviced. We were here on a dance break. As a wheelchair user I find the staff are considerate, very helpful and friendly. The location is perfect for visiting Dawlish and the surrounding area. Probably our favourite hotel🙂

Lovely weekend in a traditional hotel. Service great, food excellent, generally welcoming. Rooms are good, bathrooms have been updated recently. Caterers for the whole family. Location is lovely for walks and sea views.

Nice, traditional, family run hotel. It reminded me of hotels of my childhood, in the best way. Good value, lovely location and spacious room. We had breakfast and dinner and was pleased with the vegetarian choices and overall value. We were with a group for a dancing holiday, lovely big space and thoroughly enjoyed all the features e.g drinks reception. Luckily the weather was lovely and tea on the terrace a treat. We hope to come back.

Excellent hotel with friendly and professional staff. Rooms clean and tidy . Food and service vey good. Would have liked sauna and steam with indoor pool. We were there for dancing break, best dancefloor we have had so far. Not to much around locally so acar is probably needed (limited bus service).

Visited today for afternoon tea. The service and food was lovely and the venue very comfortable, would definitely recommend.

Just beautiful. Lovely room, nice bath/shower - great water pressure. Staff go above and beyond particular dining staff. Love the location. Near the beach and train, yet not noisy. On training , so couldn't explore location very much. Great places to eat close by also. Will return

The service is great from all the staff. From the moment you walk in till it’s time to leave. The food is very good well prepared and presented. This is our second stay and hopefully will go back soon.

Stay regularly at the hotel and love it, fantastic location with amazing views. Rooms very clean and they have everything we need. Food is fantastic. right by the Dawlish Warren so amazing walks on our doorstep. We always bring our dog and she is made very welcome. highly recommend

We had room 34 and apart from creeky floor boards it was all good.

We spent a three day dance break at the Langston Cliff Hotel this week and everything was excellent. The room was clean and well fitted and the bed was very comfortable. The food was exceptional, the staff are very friendly and efficient and the service was brilliant. The gardens are beautiful and the sea views are wonderful. A lovely spot for sea walks. Cannot recommend the hotel highly enough.

Very enjoyable short break. Exemplary service and so well run. Room a little dated but spotless. Swimming pool a little chilly but still OK.

Lovely time, friendly people and great facilities

Avoid the car park at all costs. Overstayed 12 minutes was fined £60. You have to download an app called ringo, and once you walk onto the beach, there's no signal, so you can not top up ... Hotel looks nice, though.

Everything brilliant except Saturday night dinner service. It took so long to get our meal we didn't have time to get changed before our event started and missed the first half an hour or so. Even with getting dessert to go the coffee and tea had been cleared away before we got back down

Stayed for 3 nights half board. Excellent evening meals twice. Good once. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms spacious with good facilities. Everywhere kept very clean and tidy.

Can't praise this hotel enough whether it's for a leisurely stay or running a function at this venue. Their staff and management go the extra mile every time we stay either on holiday or running a dance weekend. All our guests are full of praise for this venue and we know every time, year after year, that the experience will always be 5 star.

I have just came back from the Langstone Cliff Hotel. This time I am now in a wheelchair, the staff were amazing they were so kind, caring went out of their way to help me. The rooms were easy for me to get in and out of, very clean and tidy. Top class hotel can’t recommend this hotel enough can’t wait to go back again

Great location for coast path walks and comfortable room with balcony. Such a charming old world hotel with modern conveniences and nice small indoor pool. Lovely staff and feels like been welcomed back into a n era of bygone times.

We recently visited for a dance weekend, we were very impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the excellent facilities. Standards of cleanliness were very high in both the public rooms and the rooms. The rooms had clearly been refurbished not so long ago and are really excellent. We were on dinner bed and break and the food was excellent on both nights. Owing to exceptional circumstances I would have missed one of the evening meals but the staff was able to put a meal back for me and serve later, all without problems and with good grace , first class. We went with a dog on this occasion and again things worked out well. The hotel location is fantasy, right on the coast path , you are a short walk from both Dawlish and Dawlish Warren , couldn’t be better and we have already booked to return.

Louise is a very rude manager and treats people with zero respect or courtesy. I think perhaps it's time for her to either get sacked or gracefully retire. She ruined our stay with her disgusting attitude. **Edit** - It was booked under my then husbands name so it wouldn't have bee under mine, I don't think. But it was a little while ago and we were there. I have pictures of our stay!

Came on a dancing week end .enjoyed it very much . Food great . Rooms clean and comfortable..service was good although we had to wait quite a long time for our food to arrive because we was the last table . I t might have been better if we could have preordered . It didn’t stop my enjoyment of the week end . Breakfast was great lots of choice . The food was hot with a good choice on the menu

We have been here many times and always find it an excellent place for a relaxing break. Food is good, staff are always welcoming - location is superb for easy access to the magnificent coastal rail trips to Exmouth or Paington.

My wife and I love staying at The Langstone Cliff Hotel and have done so for many years. We find the whole place very relaxing, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the rooms are very comfortable. Located on the coast with views of the sea, with a railway station nearby for easy access to nearby Exeter saving having to find parking in the city. There is a fantastic walk along the sea wall between Dawlish Warren and Dawlish. There are plenty of places to eat out; however the food in the hotel is superb too. We got back home from the hotel this morning and are already looking forward to our next visit in May.

Double room with sea view 'Just Perfect' Staff were amazing, so kind and caring. Tasty food, a variety to choose from. Beautiful location, relaxing walks. Hotel catered for all ages, young and old. We will return with our grandchildren.

can not speak highly enough about this hotel, everything about it is right from the food to the dance floor, the rooms the service even the bar is better then you get in most hotels these days.

We were on a bowling tournament week, which we attended twice a year. The hotel is warm, friendly and welcoming and fulfills all our needs. Very enjoyable.

Old hotel with a fabulous history . The staff are nice enough but seem to lack knowledge re terms and conditions written down . I put that down right to the top re management . On their website brochure it clearly says that if one partakes in having a meal (a breakfast meal say )as a non resident in the restaurant then you are entitled to use facilities or swimming pool etc .. Having to phone up the receptionist is not aware and has to ask someone and comes back with the answer sorry that’s not correct that it only applies to a Sunday lunch ..so why does it confuse guests that might be interested in the Hotel??

Really great Hotel, room was a full sea view and only excepted a partial view ! Grounds expansive and well kept. Breakfast was super and you could have anything you wanted. The staff were very helpful and obliging would definitely highly recommend.

My favourite hotel by far. I've had the pleasure of attending my daughters linedance weekend here at the beginning if February for several years and the hotel doesn't disappoint. It's like a home from home, welcoming, comfortable and the food is lovely.

We love visiting this wonderful family run hotel. Have been coming down annually for the last 8 years to a dance weekend and it is lovely to see the same members of staff each year. Nothing is too much trouble for them food is excellent and service better than some 5 star hotels we have stayed in. Will be back next year.

First visit lovely hotel, grounds, facilities and food were excellent. Staff very attentive and polite. Nothing is too much trouble. The hotel is modern decorated, plenty of space for guests to enjoy. The bedrooms are immaculate very clean with new fixtures and fittings. The bed was so very comfortable too, great nights sleep. Great selection of good quality food for breakfast and evening meals. Highly recommend a stay here, great family run hotel. We will be back.

I am a local, so I have not stayed overnight but I visit very regularly for lunch, coffees, cream teas and sometimes a nice dinner or Sunday lunch with my family. I’ve even come for breakfast with my father as he likes a full English! The service is always very good and staff are so so friendly and welcoming. It feels so cosy and homely here. Great location in summer too for beach walks! Beautiful to sit in the gardens and see the sea 🌊 I highly recommend the scones with jam and cream here, they are my favourite!! Lovely coffee too. Thank you to all the staff for always making it such a lovely place to visit all year round ❤️

Everything was just great, friendly accomodating staff, lovely room, fab breakfast. Pool a little cold but love that you can just see the sea. Close to coastal path and short walks to the Warren or Dawlish

A lovely, slightly dated hotel with good, old fashioned standards of service. Rooms on the small side but spotlessly clean with all modern amenities. Fantastic location.

This was our second stay at the hotel, it sits in its own grounds just minutes from the beach The rooms are well furnished and the ensuite are user friendly, staff provided a showerchair. my husband has mobility problems so was able to use his mobility scooter to move around the hotel and the rooms (especially the suite)were big enough for him to use a walker, This hotel is also dog friendly and our collie was very happy on his holidays there!

We attended a friend's wake at the Langstone Cliff Hotel and the service and food was excellent. The free parking and extensive grounds were very pleasant. We had 4yr old twins with us and they loved the soft play areas and would have liked to use the pool. Thank you.

The bar is open to non residents and is a good place for a light lunch as psrt of a coastal walk

We were part of Freemasons party for the weekend both nights food was lovely very good staff both in bar and resturant think drink prices could be a little lower but lovely hotel

An annual visit for a ballroom dance weekend and the hotel and staff never fails to impress. Always welcome and of course well fed!! Two small comments that prevented a full 5 star review - the pillows are too hard and the floor in corridor and bedroom(no 34) were creaky! Otherwise a lovely hotel and we have already booked for 2026.

We are non residents ,and frequently walk from Dawlish along the coast to the Langstone with dog.We like it because it's very relaxing ,lovely comfortable sitting rooms and the staff are pleasant and the food is good quality .

We live in locally & its the ideal place to meet friends for lunch, cream tea, or just a cup of coffee. Staff are friendly, views are amazing & if you want a short walk I can think of know where better

Spent a couple of days in November for a family wedding . It was superb .. Reception staff were so kind , helpful and always ready to make our stay so enjoyable . Wedding ceremony , drinks, buffet and evening party all on site were well managed and ran like clockwork. I just happened to mention that i couldnt eat any of the buffet because of some gluten intolerance so a member of staff very kindly brought me a plate of GF buffet food from the kitchen which i could eat . Great location if the weather is wet...lots of comfy lounges, excellent food in the restaurant or in the lounges and the pool was spotless and a gentle temperature . Our room on the ground floor was spotless and warm in the chilly weather. Easy walks along the coastline to blow the cobwebs away . Thank you to all of the wonderful staff.

A real gem of a hotel, set in beautiful grounds a short walk from Dawlish Warren & Dawlish itself! Beautiful lounges to relax in, comfortable rooms & excellent food in the restaurant & bar, very helpful staff - nothing is too much trouble! We will be returning again 😊

Parts of this modern-looking hotel are apparently very old, but this is not obvious until you walk on the very creaky floorboards and joists. Internally the decor is tasteful and quite stately-home, and it is certainly roomy. Our bedroom was large and had a great seaview, a beautifully redecorated bathroom andxwas very comfortable. There is a heated indoir pool and many other leisure facilities. The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful, the breakfasts fresh, filling and delicious, and our hotel evening meal likewise. The hotel is very close to the southwest coastal path and scenic trainline. We used our trip to visit The House of Marbles and Buckfast Abbey, but not the fabulous beach. Too cold in January!

Spent the Xmas break at Langstone. Fantastic food, service and room. Excellent walks from the hotel. Planning to go back later in the year.

Lovely three nights over new year with our family. The entertainment was as expected first class, as is this very welcoming hotel. Hotel staff very guest friendly and attentive to our requests, particularly to dinner where two of our party required butter free vegetable which were provided immediately. We are I have to admit a little biased towards the Langstone having been coming to the hotel a few times a year since the 1980’s and long may it continue.

We stayed one night for a Christmas Party at the Langstone Cliff Hotel. The room was excellent and the staff were really kind and professional. The food was great and the service was brilliant. I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel to anyone wanting to stay in the South Devon area.

Yesterday 8th December a group of 5 people were booked in for lunch.When we arrived you had a power cut which was very bad luck for you.....but there were no management staff on view.....anywhere.Were you all hiding ? Very poor....face up to your problems...even if you were not to blame.Management need sacking !!!

Attended the Christmas Party, it was fantastic, the food , the decorations the staff etc made it a wonderful evening. Will book for next year

We got married at Langstone Cliff last weekend and we just had the best time. We were helped and supported all the way through the planning process and on the day by Louise, Front of House Manager, and we couldn't be more grateful for everything she did for us. All staff were kind and helpful throughout the weekend, and everything ran smoothly and exactly as we hoped it would. All guests were really complimentary about the hotel and everyone had a great time. So grateful for everything! Annie and Leigh x

We had a wonderful 3 day dance holiday at the Langstone Cliff.. lovely setting and stunning hotel.. very clean , we had a garden family room ground floor.. which suited is, no stairs.. We booked a twin so we're pleasantly surprised.. Cleaned every day..Food was excellent and buffet breakfast with so much choice as was evening meal.. The ambiance was very welcoming.. lovely and traditional.. suits us.. drinks before dinner on each night.. beautiful ballroom.. with all the Christmas decorations up inside and out quite spectacular.. well done to the staff and family for such a wonderful stay.. we will be back .
