We had cod and chips, portions are generous, could have fed four people with with two portions!! It was freshly cooked, nice light batter, was lovely and hot when I got home.. Wait was 10 minutes to be cooked, so didn't have to wait for long and not greasy. Clean environment. Good service and friendly staff. Would use again.

Huge portion of fish and chips but they were all dry and rock hard. Won’t be back

Worst chips I have had ever.There were lots of them but tasteless small bits of under cooked potatoes. Through the lot away within 5 minutes of trying to find something eatable.

Very good overall service. But of late i dont know whats happening your chips are very dry and hard other than that everything is on point.

Forget the rest just get to Langford fish bar.Not just good food ,service ,value for money good position and wonderful Crispy chips a place like this is very rare these days so we must use it and not use it thanks guys for my lovely dinner and for my cats bit of fish

First use for Haddock and chips after wet windy Saturday watching footy. Will go again.

Great family business, fresh fish cooked to order - excellent. Tasty and well wrapped. Good value for money. Also have sausages, chicken and burgers as well as soft drinks and side dishes like mushy peas

A month ago I would have given 5 star review, but the last few times I have ordered from here the chips have been dry and hard, the fish batter has been burnt and just makes for a disappointing meal when the food from here used to be excellent. Don't know why it has gone down hill but I shall go elsewhere for now.

My first visit and I’ll definitely be returning. Fish was cooked to order and the chips are just how I like them. HUGE portions (usually too much for me) but I finished the lot as it was so nice.

First time visit as was in the area. Well impressed overall. Loved the chips light & crispy. The fish, haddock, had lovely light crispy batter & was one of the best tasting I've ever had. My Mrs had the Cod Bites, again lovely too. As for portions.... don't go lage if on a diet!! Will definitely be revisiting again. 🙂

We originally stopped here en-route to home after shopping in Biggleswade. OMG - the chips were amazing, absolutely piping hot, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside and non-greasy. We called in Saturday for Cod and chips and a pie and curry sauce. Cod was delicious, the batter was light and crispy, the cod was fresh, flaky and tasty. The guys behind the counter always friendly too!

Good size chips but small fish despite ordering large. Extremely grease and soggy batter! Would suggest venturing into Biggleswade next time. Curry sauce also flavourless

Langford waited a long time for a fish & chip shop. I gave them 5 stars and they are worth it. Chips were always hot and fresh and the large portion is the biggest I have ever had from any chip shop. The fish and it's batter truly the best I have had in a long time and a reasonable price. The guys in there are very polite and friendly. 16.5.22 Hate to update this review but lately the quality has gone downhill with overcooked chips and those and the pies not being hot enough, guy next door agrees with me . I do hope it goes back to normal soon. It's a real shame but again it's got worse.. 12:30 noon and the chips are tough and chewy like they are overcooked or reheated ones from last night, We won't use that chip shop again

Went there tonight on my through Langford as a carer eating on the run, best chips I've had in such a long time.. service was great and very personable .. definitely would recommend

We use this chippy on a weekly basis for our weekly treat on a Friday. Staff are always helpful and make sure we are well catered for. The order is always cooked fresh and ready for when we arrive to collect. So thank you for making it easy on a Friday.

Very greasy fish and chips , seemed like chips had been recooked and had hair on them , curry sauce was cold and watery. Very disappointing 😞

My first time of trying here, very friendly staff, lovely quality food. My husbands fish was hanging over the edge of the plate it was so large and my pie was lovely too. Will definitely be back

After reading the rave reviews for this Fish & Chip Shop I decided to give them a try, I do not usually write reviews however, I was so disappointed with the quality of the food I felt compelled to write about my experience, the Fish was overcooked and dry and tasteless and the chips were shrivelled and hard altogether not a very pleasant experience which I had the pleasure of paying £15 for as it was early evening I can only presume the chips were left over from earlier in the day they were certainly not the fresh crisp chips that were in other peoples reviews

Chips were good, saveloy had a strange texture that was a bit off putting. Curry sauce tasted nice but was watery. Friends chicken burger was undercooked.

Had the best experience trying out our village chippy for the first time since it opened. I have been meaning to try it for some time, but it is always heaving outside and a bit of a nightmare to park. I finally decided to take advantage of the empty parking area last night and pick up some dinner. The chips are hand on heart the best I've had away from the coast. Golden skin and fluffy and soft inside, doused in vinegar as requested. Reasonably priced and the large portion really was large! I'll definitely be coming back here, Henlow has nothing on this place I'm afraid both quality and portion wise!

Chips were fresh and crisp! The fish?! My lord!! Hands down the best fish I've ever had. Very crisp and light. Not greasy! Owners a great guy aswell, the cheese and leek pie was surprisingly delicious! Although I would say work on the fried chicken as its always soggy/old and flavourless. But the fish and chips! Jesus!

I moved into the area last week and was disappointed by the rude service and after repeating my order 3 times it was still incorrect and didn't need this on the day that we moved in. I ordered 2 cods and when I got home I had received 3 cods and was charged for 3 cods which I was not happy about. The fish tasted of re-used oil and was not very nice. The only good thing is that portions are large. Overall a terrible experience and disappointed customer.

Found the service quite aggressive and quite difficult to understand after confirming the order multiple times in broken English the order was wrong once i got home. Big portions but overpriced. The cod batter unfortunately had a strange after taste. Its a shame but will go into biggleswade instead.
