Langdale Hotel & Spa in South Lakeland

Spa needs to be extended to match the growing accommodation. Didn't get chance to do much in the spa because it was so busy. They also stop serving food very early in the spa deli so be prepared to go all day without eating if you have treatments booked in the afternoon. Long waits at reception. Check your bill as they do try to charge for things you haven't had or received.

Absolutely brilliant, perfect place for a weekend getaway. Would recommend for those looking for serene areas. The spa is wonderful, sauna room, shock shower, jacuzzi / hot tub & steam room, with a fairly decent sized pool. Although the room is nothing to talk much about, there were heated floors in the bathroom and a button outside of the bathroom which allows for the shower to turn on, which is simply a nice touch. Every staff is super nice, would never complain about a single one of them.

My partner has a timeshare in the lodge which he's had for the last five years, it was a great getaway for the start of the year and it used to be fairly priced too. The last couple of years have been a nightmare, mice have been in the lodge and there were droppings all over the floor, they were coming through the kitchen sink cupboard. Langdale had sent several maintenance staff to fix the issue, the first man was brilliant, he did try to block the holes and it worked for the rest of the trip until we came back the following year and the mice issue persisted. The rest of the staff just set more traps and didn't bother doing anything else, we'd have dead mice in the cupboard for atleast 12 hours and at one point there was a live mouse stuck in a trap for almost a full day. The management of this establishment just didn't care when we kept telling them we wanted them to get rid of the dead mice, it's embarrassing the way they skirted around the problem, it's even worse that the price of these lodges is no longer worth having, having mice is such a violation to people's health and there's a claim waiting to happen. Absolutely terrible service here, I dread the idea of going back to that lodge next year.

We had a fantastic stay at the Langdale Hotel & Spa! Our room was incredibly spacious, and we especially loved the unique touch of having two baths side by side—such a relaxing feature. The hotel is set in a beautiful domain, and the location is perfect for exploring the stunning Lake District. Breakfast was lovely, though we found the main restaurant a bit overpriced for dinner. Thankfully, there’s a great alternative at the tavern just down the road. The spa was unfortunately closed for maintenance during our visit, but we still enjoyed using the steam room and swimming pool. Overall, we had a great experience and would love to return!

AAAA This is still one of the first and best 5 Star hotels a simple place to relax away from busy shops etc and enjoy in luxury. Please update the hotel food choice as can be limited..

We stayed for a night, we came from London to stay. The location was stunning, there is so much to see and plenty of hikes to do in the area. The facilities at the langdale are also really nice, you can visit the pool and the sauna, gym and steam room, tennis etc all included in your room we took full advantage of that and everything is well maintained and tidy. Our room on the other hand was the opposite, the bathroom was full of hairs from the previous guest and the floor had bits of toilet paper on it, the taps were full of brown limescale, the cups they provided were not clean. I could go on but there was so much to list. I do think the size of the room was good there was just the two of us and it was a comfortable size. I booked us in for the spa and breakfast package and I would say it was definitely worth it. The spa was clean and staff weee friendly. The deli staff were a tad bit strange, we walked in and sat down for 10 minutes waiting for someone to serve us and later I approached them asking what is the process do I order at the bar? He said “oh yeah I come to you, but I though you wanted to just come in, sit down and not order anything” so why wouldn’t you just ask us, “Would you like to order?” Apart from that strange interaction, the food was lovely and so were the drinks. Overall it was a nice stay at the langdale. I’m not sure I would return due to the lack of cleanliness of our room, which in my opinion is the most important part of the stay. I would on the other hand if I happen to be in the are I would visit the spa again, that was nice. Overall 6:/10

Excellent hotel in Langdale. Not cheap but you do get what you pay for Unfortunately the spa was closed to 25% capacity when we visited as they're renovating the whole place. Good food and a perfect location within the Langdale valley.

We had a lovely break here. Stunning setting, comfortable rooms with a lovely, big, comfortable bed and the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly.

We come here regularly and we just love it

Just recently had a one night stay at this stunningly beautiful hotel at the heart of the Langdale valley, and my experience was absolutely faultless, the signature room we stayed in was immaculate, clean and well presented. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the food was delicious. We also had a 2 hour thermal experience in the Brimstone spa, and it was hands down the best spa I have ever been to. Me and my boyfriend truly enjoyed our stay here and will certainly be returning !! Thank you! Would recommend to anyone
