Visited this place last month. It's a great place to spend time with friends. The staffs were very helpful and friendly.

Me and my friends came in earlier for a few drinks and ended up having such a good time! We all wanted to mention Aaliyah as she was very helpful/friendly and interacted with all of us!

Great place with loads of things to do for everyone! We did the mini golf and bowling but plan to go back and do more as there was so much to choose from! Recommend booking some activities in advance as it can get busy. Great selection of food and drinks as well.

Came for my birthday on Wednesday, had no idea what we wanted to do but yet Georgia was there to help. Awesome welcome, awesome service and after a round of drinks we played some crazy golf. Then it was onto food with loaded fries for me and vegan burger for the wife. Once done, we ordered another round and then jumped in for some bowling…again awesome! 🙂 Service received from arrival was great, with Hallie supporting while Georgia was busy. Would I go again? Hell yes! Highly recommend

My 2nd time at Lane 7, first was March '23 for an 18th, just 6 if the family and now it was for my works night out with 18 of us. Spot on service from the start, food and drinks were great! Highly recommend to anyone from couples or big parties 👌😎🍺🍸

I had an absolutely fantastic time! Played both bowling and mini golf. The facilities were clean, well-maintained and the staff was great fun. What really made my visit special, though, was the incredible service from Krys. What a guy! Not only was he friendly and professional but went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience. His positive attitude and enthusiasm truly stood out.

While on a short break in Edinburgh we came across lane 7 as it was very eye catching. We then played a game of bowling which was good fun. Very colourful and the ball system was really good as they came back really quick so no waiting around. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive to us and were happy to help with any questions .

This place is a license to print money. £17 for a beer and a wine is crazy. £20 for bowling. The vibe is good but after waiting 20+ minutes for some chicken wings I was late and had to leave.

Great night out; food looked amazing but we'd already eaten. Great selection of games. Just an overall really great and relaxed place to have a good time with friends.

Today after a game of mini golf yesterday, the 4 of us went bowling. It's a nice modern course. Drinks are served the first time, after which you can get them yourself. We wanted to have a snack so we asked if we could eat fries, but this was not the intention and we could eat something after bowling. Then a lot of people walked past with fries and just continued bowling, so I felt like I was being way too honest and not really asking questions. Finally something was said about it. After 10 minutes she came to ask if we wanted to play a game of darts or pool, but I don't think that's necessary anymore. I would have preferred if the lady who had told us like a little child that it was not allowed had come to us.

My family's gaming experience was made outstanding by Abbie, Eve and Joe. They regularly checked on my kids and made sure our orders were taken care instantly. All things considered I highly recommend this venue for families and I would highly recommend them to my friends and family. Well done Eve, Abbie and Joe you were were outstanding to my family, especially my kids. Thank you so much from a very happy dad.

Had an impromptu visit to Lane 7 on Saturday and had a great time. We did two rounds of bowling and played the arcade games and it was really fun. It was on the quiet side but likely because people in Edinburgh will be at the Festivals in August so it was a nice little escape for locals! The DJ was great. Friendly and helpful service for snacks & drinks - will definitely be back!

Rip off prices, 20 pounds for a game of bowling that lasted 15 minutes is way too much. 2 stars only for the friendly service

A great experience, exceptionally busy. The food here was top notch, as were the activities on offer. Bathrooms could have done with more attention, we were here for 3 hours and there was a lot of vomit in and blocking the large urinal for the whole time. Staff hectic but friendly, not a reflection on them but likely understaffed.

Good fun here lots to do and had the football on which is a bonus

Fantastic, always helpful. They gave us a free hour at the bowling alley and we were able to beat our friend who was furious. Amazing!

So, I travelled with a few friends from newcastle to edinburgh and I wanted to say this place has appalling service, having multiple staff members report to me about the exact same issue, leading me into the next point being the less than stellar management. Seeing as I booked, they lead me out the establishment and made me wait a further 15 minutes, which understandably annoyed us as a group, as we made our way it took another 10 minutes for us to start playing our game, during that time another staff came up to us and repeatedly questioned us on why we were sitting down while waiting. The worst part is we had to catch a train and had to run back to the station due to the incompetency of these staff and it overall ruined the experience.

Love this place! The bowling was so much fun and we got an extra game for free! The staff were very friendly and this would be the perfect place for a lads/girls night out. Very down to earth and perfect for the young mindset. Pool is extortionate however 😳 Regardless this place is amazing and would recommend for both families and friends and for parties etc. Fantastic!

We waited almost an hour for our burgers. No ketchup or salt was given with the fries. I paid about £34 for two burgers, fries, and one alcohol-free beer. The burgers were awful – overcooked and lacking in flavor. I was forced to pay a 10% tip when I ordered the food, and I have no idea why. Aren't tips supposed to be optional and given when you are happy with the customer service? By customer service, I mean sitting at a table and having the food and drink served by a waiter. Instead, I had to grab the food and drinks myself and take care of everything!Another issue is the quality of the games. They charge £1.20 for pinball and £1.50 for basketball games, which is 20% and 50% more expensive compared to Fountain Park. Moreover, the length of the basketball game is only one or two minutes, making it even more ridiculous! I am highly disappointed with this place!

Wasn't too impressed with Lane7 if i'm being completely honest! Whilst the staff were friendly, we were constantly being asked if I wanted to buy extras. We originally turned up to do some bowling after walking past. Staff tried to sell us a card for the very small selection of arcade games for £15. Politely declined this and went to pay for bowling for the card machine to ask for a tip? not entirely a big deal, but it's not a great first impresison. The arcade machines were very expensive with one of them being £3.50 for one go. Service was slow and it was just very expensive and quite poor to be honest.

Great first experience at lane 7 with the kids will definitely be going back.

My boyfriend and I went for a date night. My boyfriend works in St James quarter and was told he’d get a discount. The staff wanted to give us a discount but the manager over ruled them. Of their 12 bowling lanes, only one was occupied. Basically the place was empty. £50 for two bowling matches for a couple, plus £40 for drinks - for an hours activity. That’s £90 I won’t be spending there again. Yet I would have spent £28 (the discount) plus £40 happily every week as we live close. But no. A Manager who doesn’t understand discretion isn’t a manager at all. For clarity, the visit was Friday 26th April. Check your rotas. Fountain park is £12.50 including pizza and bottomless soft drinks

Large space to play, drink and eat. Great for corporate events or meeting with large group of friends. Food is ok, the best part are the games, bowling, crazy golf, darts and arcades. I wished for a table tennis section but still, fun place.

Really nice spot, we played mini golf and had a few cocktails, they had a fabulous selection! Staff were lovely to chat to, especially the ladies running the mini golf!

Drinks were delicious. Mini golf was fun but a little cramped. Really enjoyed the other arcade games (pinball, axe throwing, air hockey) too.

had a works day out here, first time visitor, fine for bowling, lane area is a bit dark but thats the theme I guess, has a grafiti look about it. Everything else in the place would be fine for kids but i suspect they would get remarkably bored at the mini putting / golf. Had a few pints, obviously you pay a premium on top of the Edinburgh prices but as work ws picking up the tab it was fine. Overall the place was okay, but nothing special

Went for the mini golf as a family outing while visiting Edinburgh. Some would consider this family friendly, but it may not be for everyone. It’s got an urban edgy feel to it with graffiti all around and kind of loud bombastic music. Mini golf was fine, but nothing too exciting. I didn’t feel the bar drinks menu was that great in terms of variety (just a few beers on draught). Would have liked to do the bowling so might return someday for that, but wouldn’t feel a particular draw back to it otherwise.

Overpriced for what it is, I enjoyed the activities but felt in the end I was not satisfied with how much I had spent for what I got. Environment was okay, smelled strongly of pee around certain bowling isles that were near toilets (rest of the place had a weird dust smell) Arcade machines were extremely faulty, machines would glitch and not work yet I was still charged. £37-38 pound for ONE round of bowling between friends was one thing but £22 pound to play pool for 50 odd minutes is ridiculous, you can go to way better places for cheaper and play longer without being timed. I think overall it’s not worth the money, I’d recommend spending the equivalent on a better night out.

Been to a few different 'Lane 7' round the UK and definitely one of the better ones. Good selection of activities, food options and plenty of space just to sit and chill. Sadly the draught prices are pretty much the same in every venue with the exact same beers but is what it is

Something a bit different. Bit pricey but I guess that's location and just modern "entertainment" for you. Pool tables are well overpriced, but a half decent beer selection, axe throwing, arcades and air hockey make it enjoyable.

Really enjoyed this place, it could end up pricey if you did a few activities but we just used the bowling and my son chose two of the arcade games to play before we went shopping again. Really central and a fun place to stop!

Trying to remain impartial about nspite of this really not b ng for me. Taken as a treat, it’s a large place with a good variety of arcades, virtual games, crazy golf & bowling. Also heard thy have ax throwing. Immediately it is an assault to the senses with the loud music, nois of multiple games, punch machine, bowling and customers. There is an industrial, street decor theme with UV paint, moving lights. Crazy golf was a non challenging hour long course. Arcades work on a token system. Drinks were pricey for the size. There are some tables to sit at. Visited on a Sun at 3pm & it was semi busy. Overheard they don’t do kids prices for bowling. Unfortunately I developed a migraine & we bailed on the bowling despite having paid for our slot. I think this place is reminiscent of Megabowl which as a 15yr old I loved! It definitely has appeal to that age group & the competitive types. Great addition to St James & to have in town, however ends up being expensive for families or playing many games. For us in our young 30’s I’d head to actual axe throwing, the Ball Pit bar or a specific bowling alley but this is definitely worth checking out. Think it would be good for a small party. It’s all in one level but wheel chair access would feel a bit claustrophobic especially when busy. Few games/golf would be accessible or the seating.

Was told the mini golf was fully booked all day. Looking around you would think the opposite. Was quiet for a Saturday yet still wouldn't let 2 people on for a round. I can understand holding bowling lanes etc for bookings. Place is over priced

Love lane7, been twice for work and each time have had a great experience. The balls each have two sets of thumb holes so it's easier to find a ball that fits as well as housing a fat hippo eatery which offers a great selection of food including vegan options

Brill bar with great atmosphere and lovely staff. loads to do. Pool, 10 pin bowling, etc. bit on the dear side. But most place in the centre are dear. It not Spoons.

It's a great concept, but not well executed at all, and super over proced for what it is. A game of pool costs £18 for example, which is beyond extortionate, especially since the tables are squeezed together so tightly that you're constantly having to manoeuvre and wait around for people at other tables to take their shots etc. We had a milkshake, and it was probably the worst milkshake I've ever had, and it was tiny - like a little kids cup of luke warm milk.

Bowling and mini golf is a great laugh here and the graffiti underground theme gives it a unique look. I've not tried the food yet, but everyone says it is brilliant. The only downside is the arcade machines. Half of them weren't accepting card payments and the ones that did work, the game lasted 30 seconds if you're lucky. Not really worth paying £1.50-£3 if I'm honest.

Visited here a few times and really enjoyed it however our visit on the 4th of January was terrible. Cocktails were awful, my drink had curdled by the time I walked 10 steps to the table. The service was horrific, one member of staff on the bar, there was a queue formed, and he completely ignored the queue and let young couples jump in, when questioned about it he just shrugged his shoulders. We went to order food from fat hippo but got told to order from the bar, it then took 45 minutes for 2 portions of dirty fries (skinny fries, a drizzle of sauce and bacon crumbs). What a disappointment!

Popped in with my 4 year old daughter. Charged £12pp for one game of bowling. I understand it's in a prime location, but this is too expensive for a 4 year old bowling imo. Facility is good, and there's lots to do (mini golf, darts, arcade games etc), I'd imagine it would cost alot of you did everything tho!

Genuinely an awful place to go. Greasy, bad lighting, incredibly expensive and robotic staff. Bowling was a disaster from start to finish
