Lambert's Bar & Cookhouse in Leeds

I think I've entered a different universe. Some of the tables have toilet rolls on, the tables inside and out are filthy whilst the staff keep going behind the bar to make themselves cocktails and large gins and are sat drinking in a booth. Ooh some of their friends have just come in and are getting free drinks. It's certainly an experience!

Went to Lamberts for the first time to eat today and was pretty impressed really. Have been meaning to check it out for a while as live close by so decided to take the family for Sunday lunch. Booked online and table ready when we arrived. Good value set price menu for two or three courses and the food for both adults and kids was good. Particularly impressed the variety of well cooked veg and quality of meat on the roast and the kids loved their desserts. Good, friendly service provided by the manger and the girl she was training up so all in all a good experience and would recommend.

Visiting relatives in Horsforth we went to Lamberts relatively early evening on a friday in September. Not a good start as they must have been the only pub in Yorkshire not to have any draught beer available! If I'd had wanted bottled I could have gone to Morrisons opposite and paid a third of the price! The food menu is o.k.but not extensive. Several of the items on the Specials Board are actually listed on the main menu and one of the few items on the board wasn't available. Wipe it off. The place was virtually empty but it took ages to be asked if we wanted to see the dessert menu which we did. However no one came to take this further order so we gave up and left to go home via Morrisons with are desserts from their extensively available range. I wont be returning to Lamberts in a hurry as there are so many other available pubs and restaurants to choose from. I do however wish them well and hope their fortunes change.

Best Sunday lunch in Horsforth. Perfect tender meat, all the trimmings, extra gravy! Couldn’t fault it and have tried many in the area. Courtney was attentive and helpful, made us a perfect strawberry daiquiri to go with our meal which was 2 for £12 so an added bonus! We will definitely be back and urge others to try too!

Brilliant. Really nice lay out and decor. Super friendly staff from start to finish. Couldn’t ask for anything more from them. Starters were great and streak cooked just right (rare). And pretty reasonably priced.

Simply very very good! Friendly service. Good hot food. Stark and wine offer on Thursday was superb value. Will be vack for sure.

I recently visited Lambert's with a few friends for some food and drinks! We had the a burger which was delicious alongside some cocktails. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and we had a great night. A fantastic addition to the High Street!
