Asked for a gluten free menu and got a book of things with allergens in it found the staff not very helpful at all . Just make it simple and have a gluten free menu

In my opinion I wouldn’t really rate this establishment for something nice to eat. I wouldn’t waste your money. I would go elsewhere. Could do better. We were in here as a family for my son’s 16th birthday on Sunday the 3rd March 2024 at 16.30. It Wasn’t really a friendly atmosphere. Food was ok, not a lot of pancetta ham on the pizza even though you pay a supplement for this pizza. My son and myself got jimmy style, think they take portion control a bit too far. We liked the bread starter. The coquettes were very greasy. I much prefer la vita in George square a better menu choice and a friendlier atmosphere. We were served our main course and we weren’t asked if we wanted Parmesan or black pepper. We had to try and get a waiter’s attention to ask for this. I went to the male toilets there was a strong smell of urine in the toilets. It turned my stomach. It could be doing with a clean and a bit of disinfectant. It was Very off putting.

First time eating in here with friends and I'll definitely be back. We got seated in a booth that had beautiful flowers all around making a lovely atmosphere and we ordered from the tapas menu and there's so many choices and the portion sizes were much better than I expected. I'd highly recommend.

I've been a few times and the food is always very good. It's so handy for the Central station as well.

👎👎👎 Not a good experience about the order. We came for the first time to order two pastas with small sizes. One girl is so nice to describe the size of the bowl. Because it was lunch time and it's not so good for having a full lunch for exploring the city, we confirmed that we need both small sizes. When the food came, I didn't truly realise the bowl had different sizes and I have no hesitation to taste the food. That's the next story and I will tell you what happened next. 🍽️ Now we talk about the food first - too much olive oil is used, it's too greasy, and the seasoning steals the style of the food. The seafood pasta has lost the freshness of the mussels. Risotto cooked to the point of sticking to the teeth, hard to swallow but losing flavor. Sangria, probably due to the base wine, tasted very bitter and I don't think it was my favorite flavor. I tried to swallow the so-called risotto but my stomach seems to be filled fully. I finally realised that it may have the wrong size of my food. The bill also confirmed my suspicions. 🥲 I didn't express any intention of arguing about the bill, but I just wanted to express some of my complaints about placing the wrong order, so I expressed this to the waiter, who put me on hold and got their manager, a middle-aged woman. This was the most unpleasant part of my entire dining experience and the reason why I rated their service 0 out of 10! 💢 The manager came over and after listening to my complaint, she arrogantly said "You should notice the size of the bowl. Once you find the mistake you should tell me." trying to blame me for their waiter's mistake. 😅 (What?) After I heard those words I was so angry that I fainted. I said, "It's my first time in your restaurant, how am I supposed to know the size of your bowl? I will pay the bill, but your attitude of blaming me made me very unhappy." The lady pissed me off and ruined my whole Glasgow trip today!💢 Thinking back to when we first walked in the door and waited to be greeted by a waiter at the entrance of the restaurant, this manager was the first to see us, we asked her for a seat for two. What this manager did was she picked up two menus that were at the reception and spoke in a commanding tone to one of her staff for about 30 seconds and told him to lead us to an empty seat. She didn't have a single conversation with us, and all of it showed that she doesn't have the concept of equality, doesn't love her job and doesn't know how to communicate with customers. I don't have a particular feeling about the other waiters 👍, they were nice to me as well as respectful when I asked some questions and gave my opinion, instead the experience reminded me of these bad bosses in the workplace who are in positions of power and maliciously bully others. I would not recommend a restaurant like this.👎👎👎

We had an amazing time with the family, delicious food, big portions, the chicken from kids menu was good quality and tasty, high level service, great mood shared by the people working in there, and nice italian music. Absolutely great restaurant. Will definitely visit again

Excellent food, I had the pork belly with Mediterranean vegetables and it was delicious. The waiting staff were fantastic but the female manager left a lot to be desired. Ignored when arrived at restaurant waiting to be seated, having obvious cross words with staff next to our table and waitress in tears. I could go on but enough said.

Great food, first visit, certainly won't be the last. Service was excellent, very varied menu, what could be better.

Penne Arabiata was was delicious and would highly recommend the Terry's chocolate orange pudding - Amazing!

I asked waiter how many pasta dishes should we order from the tapas option. Three. Turns out. They're not small, so three was far too much food. We got last table on a walk in which was great but it was right beside the hatch at bar. Which squeaked & was in use pretty much constantly. The restaurant is lovely, well decorated & the food is excellent. Just wish we'd ordered less of it as hate waste (food & money).

Didn't get sat at a table for 10 minutes after we arrived. The service took another 10 minutes to order our drinks and the waiter left so quick we couldn't order food despite being ready (our menus were closed). Another 10 minutes go by and we finally order food. The starter was advertised as focaccia bread but we got 2 squares of this with 2 slices of french baguettes and bread sticks. The mains (pastas) were fine. Waited 20 minutes for dessert after ordering it. Nobody asked if we needed a top up of drinks, took ages to clear our table etc. The toilets were disgusting for it being such a nice looking restaurant! All in all disappointing experience.

Staff could barely speak English, nor understand it.

If I am honest, was a bit disappointed with the quality food returning a year ago. Meatballs were a bit dense and pasta overcooked as opposed to al dente. Pizza and calamari was excellent and in my view the saving grace. Service was not bad certainly not as good as the previous visit although sitting opposite a draft upstairs didn’t help.

I was here on Saturday for lunch with a friend and wasn't impressed. This is my 3rd visit but won't be in a hurry to come back . We had the table next to the stairs and toilet . Not the best with everyone wanting past but my biggest complaint was the service . The place is so busy they just can't keep up with all the tables and forget about you. The food is ok but the whole experience was a bit manic.

It's ok, handy for Central Station.The menu is vast and I'm not sure that translates to quality across the board.It's the selling points of small plates of food, but there's something slightly weird about eating a toddler size pizza. Would prefer smaller menu to be honest.

Went for dinner and drink before our concert (which got cancelled) we got the tapas and it was amazing. Love the mushroom pasta and rice balls but everything was amazing and the daiquiris (one alcoholic, one non) were yummy. The servers were great and polite and lovely, great experience all round. Will be back for my birthday dinner.

I took my family to Spuntini for my Graduation dinner as I have been to the restaurant a few times before and have enjoyed everything about it. However, this meal was an absolute disgrace. Firstly, we were sat at 7pm, it took over one hour for our drinks to arrive and no apologies from the waiting staff at all. Then, a while later our starters arrived (waiting time NOT acceptable). Before our starters were even taken off of our table, our main course started to arrive with the table cluttered with starter plates and empty glasses. As a previous waitress what sort of standard is this !?. My grandads order was incorrect, the staff did not listen to the specific pasta that he requested to go with his dish, but the staff insisted that that was what he ordered but it was not, the staff were wrong but did not take fault (although they listened to my grans request ?). My mother ordered the Pennette Spuntini to which was disgusting. The pasta was solid and not Al dente the waitress took it away and then gave it back and the flavours of this dish was not enjoyable. My dad also ordered tbis dish and did not enjoy it but ate it because he was hungry due to the long wait time. This dish did not live up to expectations. During the main course, my grandad left the table to go to the bar to find staff to order another round of drinks to which they forgot the bottle of red wine and had to be reminded 20 minutes later. There was no remorse from the staff for their countless mistakes, there was no compensation offered whether it be money off the bill or free drinks or free dessert or even an apology. My gran tried to reach the manager to which she was blatantly ignored. I am so deeply disappointed and embarrassed I took my family here the restaurant knew it was my special graduation day as I said on the booking and it was a complete shambles. Thankyou for tarnishing a good day, clearly profit over customer value and service is apparent within your business. The restaurant should re-evaluate how many covers they can handle.

Foods good and a bit different from norm but 35mins for a drink is poor. If the town hadn't been mobbed because of concert we would have left.

Very, very busy and noisy place. Not very welcoming at the door but the serving staff were good.

Fantastic food in a lovely restaraunt, great friendly staff. Highly recommed the daytime tasting menu allowing you to try a few small dishes for food you may never have tried before.

Food was top! No complaints Manager at this branch and the way she runs the place was horrendous. I'm process of lodging a formal complaint. Because she was more than just rude... hopefully someone from the staff replies back. Not to forget very slow service, dont expect to order for atleast 30mins after the menues were handed out. Plates took a long time to be taken away, just overall very slow for a Tuesday evening. Service of this place really puts a downer on the overall restaurant (mainly the manager who was seen bossing around the staff so so rudely like it's not the 80's you dont own the place! treat people with respect a blank face no smile and an extremely loud rude tone wont get you anywhere) food like I said was top class.

We had a great family meal in the Gordon Street restaurant. Staff , service and atmosphere all fantastic. The food was excellent and the choices are endless.

Visited the restaurant on a few occasions now and the food is always very good. There is a great selection of dishes available, even on the lunch time deal menu. Staff are always friendly and helpful and it's a nice restaurant. Can get busy so recommend to book if going at peak times or as a group. I always get the meatballs and the slow cooked pork as 2 of my dishes and they never disappoint

We had a table on the third floor and the setting was cozy and the view was great. I loved my pizza and salad, they were both authentic Italian. I usually don't go with chicken pizza, but I did this time and it was really good.

Love it food is amazing, highly recommended the hot chilli prawns. Although they need to upgrade the air conditioning it's far too hot in there!

Too hot ,table close to toilet, 3 tables moved beside us and lots of complaining , food good but service shocking waited 20 mins for drink,food brought out and still not drink after asking further 3 times for drink waiter lied that they went out for more ingredients when people all around getting drink ordered, after aaking again was brought glass of tap water before eventually getting drinks which waiter then said had been left on the bar.first and last visit

Visited Thursday around 530pm. Squashed upstairs inbetween tables that could only just fit a Waiter/waitress. My first drink took 35 minutes to arrive, it actually came after food had arrived after asking twice where it was. Was twice offered other tables drinks though?Food was clearly homemade but days before and just reheated for the mass albeit it tasted nice. Ordered my second drink as soon as my first arrived, Second drink took a further 25 minutes to arrive. Ordered a dessert which took a further 30 minutes, but had enough and asked for the bill as waited far too long. Bill wasn't brought, dessert came, then asked for the bill again. Looking around the restaurant there was just tables sitting waiting and waiting, dirty plates not being cleared, food arriving before drinks.... clearly not being managed by a seasoned professional which should be the case for a city center venue. Busy or not busy, don't fill your restaurant if you can't keep up? It's a simple operation.

I love this place but I've been here in January and in the summer and the Mez floor is too hot. Food is excellent, staff are fantastic, the buzz in the restaurant is second to none, but get proper air con upstairs.

We have been going to La Vita restaurants for almost 20 years and it never disappoints. My last visit was probably the best as the few times before the food had dipped. So glad as it’s always clean and service is spot on. Only thing is the one on Gordon Street it’s been over a year the AC needs replaced upstairs as it’s too hot and you don’t enjoy your meal when it’s like a sauna but other wise all our food was delicious and fresh

I could have given this place a zero if I could, I was very disappointed when my sisters and I popped in for a few cocktails and bar menu. First of the place was super busy that it took more than 20mins for us to put our order in, which we complained about to the waiter who took our order, secondly the cocktails took another 20mins to be served. We asked for a glass of water but never received anything. We were so disappointed that we will not be back.

Booked a table for 5.30pm, arrived at 5.25pm, queue at the door with people who didn't book, didn't get seated until 6.10pm. Was in a rush then as had a concert to go to. Ordered food and drink at the same time. Pizza was pretty decent but pasta dish was pretty dry and full of garlic. Pretty expensive for what it is.

An amazing restaurant in everything. I rate it 10/10 in terms of delicious food and very excellent service. I recommend it. ✨♥️👌🏻

Been to other restaurants of this chain a couple times before, first time at Spuntini and i was not disappointed, Isa gave us an amazing service, really good advice from a short wine-list to match with the dishes we ordered. Ordered the Seabass and my husband ordered the daytime tasting menu, both great choices since the tasting menu is significantly smaller compared to other restaurants we’ve been to, Seabass was gorgeous, very tasty. Overall the experience was great for how busy the restaurant was, quite noisy but very enjoyable if you’re looking for good food and a good service. Will be back.

Amazing fresh food and very friendly and helpful staff. Some of the spaces felt a little cramped as there was a lot of tables, but still a very enjoyable experience.

Fine dining in that it was just fine. No frills. Little overpriced for fairly limited pizza and pasta options available. Cramped interior that some might consider intimate.

Food was pleasant enough but very much has the chain restaurant feel. Upstairs was like a sauna and spoiled the whole experience.

I do usually like this restaurant but my recent visit with a friend was like Fawlty Towers and I was embarrassed that I had taken my friend there! First, there was a massive queue out the door with a backlog of people waiting to be seated and I was half in /half out the door. It was raining very heavily outside and I have broken wrist which I’ve to keep dry so I was trying to get in the door as much as possible to keep dry and warm. The lady at the door shouted at me so loudly to close the door so much so that people looked at me in shock at such an aggressive reaction when you could clearly see my arm is in plaster cast. I showed her the broken wrist and she just looked blankly at me, no apology. Eventually I got seated. Then we began to get served meals that were for other people and our neighbouring tables kept saying it was their meal and we would pass the plates to them. It was embarrassing how many times this happened. Then we got our meal served, my friend had ordered the sea bass which comes with a metal tin on top which the server dropped onto my friends plate and he said it was hot. I had preferred small plates but they weren't great - the spag Bol was slopped on a plate and was falling off the edges and the pizzette didn’t have enough of a tomato base. Trying to get the bill at the end was a nightmare too as nobody looked in our direction so we had to get up to ask and we were told to sit back down again. A total shambles.

Daughter ordered a meal from their gluten free menu, but after leaving the restaurant she went into severe shock due to cross contamination of her meal.

Delicious food (pizza, black pudding and duck and rabbit particularly tasty!) Friendly staff and quick service. Only negative was it was very warm upstairs, but was busy.

Amazing Place for lunch or dinner

In for brunch with my daughter earlier today. Eggs hebridean was ok could have done with a wee bit more cooking time. However biggest issue was someone had placed their discarded chewing gum on the leg of my chair which had transferred to my jeans. Disgusting. Not sure how this was missed on cleaning?

Wonderful place went with my daughter who has been several times before. Decor was excellent and the food was really good. We had the tapas selection which is a really good idea. Looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommend

We came here for a few cocktails, got sat at the window which was nice to just people watch for a bit, cocktails were nice although there was a wee wait for them, but we weren't in any rush.

It was very hot up in mezzanine floor, no additional plates given when ordering tapas dishes and there was so many mix ups when ordering drinks. My food was nice but some of the tapas dishes on the table weren’t great. I would go back to try again though. I love the other restaurants in this company.

Not my type of restaurant Visit was only for coffee and ice cream Ice cream was excellent but coffee ( coloured water) Looking at it I don't think that they used fresh coffee to make it

Food was absolutely fantastic. Generous potions, I had the “Branzzino” - Pan Fried Sea Bass with Mash, Black Pudding and a stunning sauce. Waiters were very friendly and polite, with a good eye for detail. Very clean, warm place. Highly recommend if you like Italian food! Very relaxed place, can dress up or dress down.

Food was absolutely delectable and worth the money aside from one understandable problem. The staff were all lovely but the service was painfully slow to the point we thought we had been forgotten about and had to ask for service a couple of times and meant we only had time for 1 course and one drink. No doubt we'll be back when we don't have somewhere to be 2 hours later.

Food was amazing and staff were kind!! Would recommend not going during peak times, as the restaurant was mobbed. The staff were running about trying to keep up with it all so were unfortunately looking quite exhausted. Was a bit distracting as we were seated next to the food window for the flood staff.

Was out for lunch with workmates on Saturday 3rd Feb 2024 , and once again Sputini's was brilliant. Great food , great staff and great service.....especially our waitress Rachel . Lovely girl , she was the best. I would absolutely recommend this warm , Lovely and friendly restaurant to all . Thanks for another great day out xxx

Wonderful catch up with work ladies.

Food was great, staff friendly and helpful. We didn't like where our table was sitting which was right next to the stairs leading to toilets. On a busy Saturday afternoon this meant there was a constant stream of people squeezing passed each other next to us while we were being served and eating, staff were also squeezing passed moving tables and chairs. Our table was not nearly big enough for our dishes. Enjoyable but not very relaxing.

Unfortunately suffered from severe food poisoning after consuming the ravioli. Service was great. However food hygiene needs reconsidered.

Busy! Quick service, good food. I will be back. Booking is essential after 5 pm, given that it's in the city centre. I arrived early, and it was reasonably full then, and filled up within half an hour....
