The waitress Tanina has the best service attitude, she served us excellently!!! At breakfast he explained to us everything there was to eat.

I have been to this restaurant several times, I usually take my colleagues for business meetings. Last time I went I took my family who came to visit me from abroad for an afternoon tea, which was amazing. We had the pleasure to meet the pastry chef Connie who was very kind to us and tried her best to explain it to us although she only spoke Italian, we could taste her passion in every single pastry. Excellent rich buffet breakfast and kind and attentive staff. I asked if there was still a portion of dessert which unfortunately. In the meantime it was over, the waiter asked and shortly after he returned accompanied by the pastry chef Conny, who promised me that he would prepare it again especially for me for the following day, which he actually did. I will definitely come back

I would like to share this "experience" with all of you. At the insistence of a dear friend of mine, who is often in London for work, I went here, to the Xenia, to try the much vaunted afternoon tea. And I must say that he was right. Both my wife and I were pleasantly impressed; to describe to us in detail what we were about to taste, the Pastry Chef Conny was introduced to us by the head of the service, Mr. Albino, who accompanied us through this experience with grace and a big smile. Particularly worthy of note were the small tiramisu and the Victoria cake, the right combination of English tradition and Italian taste. Very recommended.

One of my favourite places now in London for breakfast the service was great thoroughly enjoyed my the dessert, I was even lucky enough to meet Conny the pastry chef who was wonderful.

Indescribable the kindness that Connie showed us into illustrating all her creations displayed on the breakfast buffet. I felt like a kid in a wonderland and I didn’t know where to start, I wish I could have tasted some more of her pastries, reason why, next time that me and my husband will be back in london will surely pass by. Overall the whole service was very attentive and I’ve experienced one of the best breakfasts in my life. Thank you to the amazing team that visibly works very hard and thanks again to Connie ;)

I have a hard time eating sweets in the morning, I usually prefer savory, but the pastry chef, Connie if I'm not mistaken, enticed me with her huge smile to try her creations and I have to say they were amazing. The only person who could get me to eat sweets for breakfast so thank you Connie for making me discover a whole new world and I will be back again maybe to try their afternoon tea…

Afternoon with a friend to have English afternoon tea, it was a pleasant discovery, we tried the delicate desserts and the small sandwiches according to the English tradition, the typical scones were also excellent. All this accompanied by attentive service and a pleasant surprise organized for my friend's birthday brought to our table by the pastry chef Connie. We will definitely return!!

What to say ! By chance we passed in front of what looked like an anonymous restaurant in an anonymous hotel but despite everything we decided to go in especially because the dessert buffet looked quite inviting and being heavily addicted to sugar we wanted to try it, we tasted all the desserts that were displayed among to which a very delicate cotton cake was exceptional to say the least, at a certain point we were introduced to the pastry chef Concetta who, with her kindness and professionalism, brought to a beautiful conclusion what was a surprising experience. Last but not least, Mrs. Elisabetta, I think her name is added, was added. , who cheered up our last day in London with some nice banter with the pastry chef, highly recommended.

Disastrous dinner in London. A restaurant that only has the name Italian, we ordered a bottle of Nero d'avola Tule which in Italy costs €4.50 and they charge €50, incredible. Non-existent service, we waited a long time to have a trio of bruschetta and a prawn tartare (poor quality). Biblical wait for the risotto with asparagus to arrive (without salt and tasteless). We will not return, avoid.

Small portions are a bit pricy for 3 adults and one child, but food is good

Lovely experience on a Sunday night. Charming atrium seating, with attentive service (considering a full dining room) and delicious authentic Italian cuisine. Tagliatelle with Lamb Ragu, and Sea Bass over cabonata were delicious and fresh. Panna cotta with rhubarb for dessert was a fantastic finish to a superb evening. Five stars all around.

Food was great but the service was spectacular. I would give it 6 stars if they didn't limit me to 5.

Absolutely ridiculous rude behavior. Empty tables but still turns down people walking in mandating reservations. Learn to treat your customers first. Manager needs to learn to be sympathetic and empathetic to clients. Not that you're feeding people free. Never turn away customers who come to eat. Basic decency.

Very good food and wine. I was on holiday with my wife and son and they were very attentive - they even asked us if we had allergies - even during dinner to entertain the little one. They also reserved a very welcome surprise for the little one who would have turned 2 that day.

Just discovered a gem in the heart of Kensington for authentic Italian food. A great Italian chef behind the stoves. Went with a few friends for dinner and everyone loved it. Such an authentic Italian culinary experience. An array of tantalizing options, from the crunchy and tender octopus, the squid, to the veggies.. all perfectly cooked. Had a classic Spaghetti Carbonara perfectly cooked "al dente". The duck ragu taggliatelle was incredible too. Every dish exuded authenticity and finesse. Great service and nice terrraza! Fully recommended.

The chef Connie Ritorto is truly putting her heart into every plate and speciality she prepares and you can feel it from the genuine and full taste of her recipes!

A lovely greenhouse window space to dine inside a gorgeous Italian restaurant. Comfy decor, beautiful views, excellent menu options and delicious food/drink. Our server was on-top of everything…even carrying our coats to coat rack. Peroni and glass of red wine and still water. Delicious bread bowl, spouse had club sandwich w/fresh light salad and I had salad with pomegranates, tomato’s and olives. So light & yummy….I got grilled Vegetables as well.

The decoration of the place was very beautiful and the staff were very friendly, quick and polite. The wait time was not long. We were served quickly. We ordered pasta carbonaras which was very good. Nothing to complain about, I recommend.

I can’t speak highly enough of the breakfast here. I’m quietly confident it’s the best breakfast I’ve had in a hotel in the UK. Albino is the most gracious host, and a fun character to interact with guests like me. He should be commended.

First of all the service is very slow, we waited about 25minutes before they took our order and it was not packed at all. Then we ordered the Caesar Salad it looked like it was bought in TESCO and the taste was horrible. Then we were brought 3 pastas that were COMPLETELY inedible! The carbonara tasted the vomit and was made with very bad guancale and also had heavy cream... im appalled we didnt eat anything and they still made us pay for all the pastas which was even worse because the manager was being super rude. Over all super bad service horrible food.

I experienced extremely disappointing service at this restaurant. The service was incredibly slow, and to make matters worse, none of the three different pastas we ordered were edible. It was an overall frustrating and unsatisfactory dining experience. I found the manager's decision-making to be rather lacking the food service experience, leading to a less than satisfactory experience at the establishment.

Had an amazing afternoon tea for my sister’s birthday, she loved every single pastry and sandwich, I did too. Pamela was very attentive with us and she had a very warm approach, we also enjoyed a lot the pianist and they made a chocolate tart as a surprise for us!! I would recommend it many times and look forward to be back for the breakfast buffet :)

The dishes smell, I expect they are not well-washed, I ordered their famous spaghetti, but unfortunately, it's not well cooked, I'm very upset with this experience.

A wonderful place to have breakfast, where you can enjoy a generous buffet with fresh juices, smoked salmon, cheeses and delicatessen, any kind of eggs, variety of fruits, tasty French Toasts and desserts. Service is extremely cordial and the setting is classy and relaxed. Very recommended!

Great terrace with friendly staff

Good food and service until the entire staff decided to just..... stop working? I sat there after finishing my meal for 15 minutes with nothing but a glass of water, waiting for..... like.... anything? No questions if I'd like something else, no dessert menu, no drinks. What the heck? If you're going to charge upscale Kensington prices, at least have the decency to serve the customer the whole time. It's not like it was busy, either, I was the only customer there....

Tried it because I'm staying at the hotel. Ordered a glass of wine (full pour, good quality) and an appetizer dip while debating on full dinner or not. The white table bread was completely stale, and the multigrain was stale on the edges showing it was cut hours ago. The appetizer, aubergine caviar, took 25 minutes despite the restaurant being empty. Appears as quite the dichotomy, a dip that can be pre-prepared and be fresh took nearly a half hour but bread was cut so long in advance it had gone stale. The actual aubergine caviar was good, and the wine selection is nice. Staff is pleasant and friendly.

La Terrazza became my restaurant of choice during my stay in London. We crossed the street daily from our hotel. Whether it was breakfast, lunch, or dinner Cesare, Tatiana, Asrar, and the entire team was completely attentive and accommodating. Even satisfying a late night tiramisu fix. The restaurant itself is beautiful as though you are in an orangery or greenhouse. Service was amazing, and the food was delicious. It was a charming way to start our day.

Il posto era accogliente e pulito, il personale era gentile e disponibile, ma ci hanno fatto sentire un po' a disagio quando abbiamo ordinato due tè e una sola porzione di cibo da dividere. Forse non capivano perché non volevamo mangiare di più, o forse erano sorpresi dalla nostra scelta. Comunque, non ci siamo fatti scoraggiare e abbiamo gustato la nostra colazione, che era buona e abbondante. Il tè era caldo e profumato, il cibo era fresco e saporito. I prezzi erano nella media di Londra, né troppo alti né troppo bassi. Nel complesso, è stata un'esperienza piacevole e lo consiglio a chi cerca una colazione semplice ma gustosa in un ambiente tranquillo. È bene notare che per chi preferisce è disponibile anche la colazione a buffet.

We had a nice welcome, and the staff was very helpful in explaining the dishes to my client. We weren't disturbed while we discussed business. The food was very good and good value for money.

Service is friendly and fab, wine list amazing, food authentic and delicious... what else would you need?

I don't blame them but the construction noise was brutal during an early dinner. We got the dinner special which was risotto with cod. Someone needed to tell the chef that cod should have been in the dish. None was in ours. We asked three separate servers to find out how the dish was made and none did. They just smiled and said they would even after asking to speak with the chef, he never appeared. *The food is meh for the price you pay. The chef needs to learn how to either use salt and pepper WHEN cooking or use ANY spices at all in his food. It's bland, tasteless, and mealy (risotto should be chewy, not an unexciting mush). * The prices are too high for the non-ambience you don't get due to massive construction. * Harrowgate bottled water smells bad. You open it and it smells like fish and algae. I get it's a "local thing" but as a tourist I could smell it any time I brought the glass up to my nose. Amazingly, THIS was the ONLY restaurant where I've drunk this water where it smelled bad. * You're serving an international clientele, teach your servers WHAT is in the food, how it's prepared, and how to explain it to your diners in ENGLISH. * Coffee is an art. Understanding that your guests are international and may have questions about how yours is made might be helpful to get your servers to explain how it's prepared, not just serve what should be hot coffee as cold as possible and then provide what I can only describe as whipping or salad cream when asked for "cream". Yes, I get it, the English don't understand coffee and making a simple cup of coffee without making it an overcomplicated mess of asking "what kind of coffee would you like" is something all places in England do. For tourists who have been drinking coffee for decades we don't need to all of a sudden decode your coffee schizophrenia. We just need coffee, hot, strong, with accoutrements if necessary. How is it a country that can figure out how to make tea can't understand coffee? Go elsewhere. The chef needs to go back to school to understand simple techniques for seasoning. The waiters need to know how to answer basic questions about the food without shrugging when asked. It's embarrassing that that is their response. Have some pride in the stuff you serve or 3lse do something else that DOES make you proud to be doing it.

Must go if you like authentic Italian food!

This place is fantastic! We opted for the buffet breakfast and I appreciated the buffet spread - not too many and overwhelming nor too few! It also comes with refillable tea or coffee which is good too! Special shoutout to Mr. Albino who made us feel welcome and followed my instructions on the payment. Really appreciated it! Ambiance is fabulous, quiet, a great place to catch up with family and friends! My guests and I truly had a wonderful morning at La Terrazza!

Staying in the area, found this lovely little place searching on google and thought we'd give it a go! I must say I was surprised, outstanding food and an even better atmosphere. My husband and I really enjoyed our snug dinner here together. We will be returning!

Shockingly awful buffet breakfast. Our child was staying at the Cromwell Hospital opposite and we stopped for breakfast. £30 all you can eat. The offering was abysmal, I ended up only having tea & toast. Even the waitress was embarrassed and said she knows it awful and she’s sorry with a shrug 🤷🏻‍♀️ £65 in total not value for money or the quality you’d expect from a hotel in Kensington

We had a vegetarian dinner; no pasta - just salads and starters. Food was not great and we could not explain to ourselves the high score of the restaurant. Very expensive for what you get.

We came here for dinner after a long day, & absolutely adored everything about this restaurant! It was gorgeous inside & outside, the atmosphere was lively, and the staff, especially the owner, were absolutely delightful. We were entertained from start to finish, given suggestions about wines, small plates, and entrees, and given A+ service. I will be recommending La Terrazza to anyone who asks for a top notch, authentic Italian restaurant!

Sono stato a festeggiare il compleanno della mia compagna due giorni prima di lasciare Londra e sono rimasto veramente colpito dalla gentilezza e professionalità del personale e del caposala .Il ristorante come qualità del cibo mi ha fatto sentire in Italia ed era nettamente superiore nella preparazione rispetto agli altri ristoranti italiani provati nei giorni precedenti. Il menù non è ampio ma la bravura dello chef fa sì che possiate ritornare volentieri. Unico difetto è averlo trovato soltanto il giorno prima della partenza.

Great spot if you are looking for some authentic Italian food, both servers and chefs are from Italy and the quality of food reflects that! Location is great and if the weather is good, you can eat outside in the small terrace. Overall 10/10 !!

Lovely setting, fantastic cheese and cold meats platter.

Peu de choix certes mais le plat choisit était bon. En revanche, cher pour la quantité. Les prix sont relativement elevés. A mon humble avis, revoir le tartare de saumon qui n'en est pas un ( ou alors je n'ai pas compris le concept) car ce plat n'est n'y plus n'y moins que du saumon fumé, néanmoins très bon. Cadre sympathique, mais trop, trop cher.

Food was nice however the portion sizes are very small. There is a lack of choice of vegetarian options, and I would have expected a couple more. (Something in the kitchen wasn't working on the day we booked so that took away the vegetarian chef special menu set course option too). Service was generally good however a couple of female staff didn't seem overly friendly. Decor and atmosphere seemed good however I think we are missing what other reviewers are saying!

Overall good meal. Service was a bit slow and the portions for the price were a bit on the small size. I had the Lobster Ravioli which was good but not amazing. Would suggest some of the other pasta dishes as others said the deck was good. You can do better in London but an overall good experience and convenient if staying at the hotel.

As someone who has worked in restaurants for almost 2 decades I can tell you if your looking for a dinner location with atmosphere, great hosts, food and drinks your in for a great evening. Albino was an amazing host and truly provided a wonderful evening for us. At first glance the prices might seem a little high but I can assure you that the quality of the food, cocktails and wine were worth every bit. If your staying at the marriot kensington across the street go here!

We dined in this beloved restaurant today with my daughter , and albino - restaurant manager - made our experience exceptional to be honest , since he was well-mannered, witty . His hospitality was over the moon , and not to mention the delicious breakfast served for us .

What can I say, from start to end, the experience was fantastic. Thanks to all the staff at La Tarreza! Home made gnocchi in bolognase sauce, delicious. The fried calamari and prawn with balsamic is just so addictive. Fresh zesty artichoke salad and the John dory risotto were all to die for. Atmosphere is cosy, service was quick and overall 10/10 quality food. You can tell the staff care about you here. Will be back again and again.

Enclosed terrace cafe/restaurant, with some open air seating for better weather, which does an interesting menu of modern Italian dishes in very pleasant surroundings. Looks to be the restaurant for the Hotel Xenia. We arrived in the mood for a good meal and a glass or two of red wine. Welcome and service was excellent during our meal from a waiter who made sure we were happy throughout the meal, yet had a good sense of fun. He made the whole visit more enjoyable. The menu was interesting and different in a good way, giving us the chance of trying different dishes and tastes. The food was superb throughout our meal and the bottle of Pinot Nero we ordered, though expensive to us, proved to be excellent. All in all a lovely evening and a good way for us to finish a three night stay in London for an Albert Hall concert. We always love Italian restaurants!!!!

Had both breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was good, dinner was okaish, given this is supposed to be a good Italian place it was underwhelming. Took 20-30 minutes to get even bread to the table to use with olive oil; they had 5 tables, and the others, even those who arrived later got their bread before us. I then ordered the grilled lamb chops, which seemed to be made in an oven rather than grilled, and the plate had two and half chops on the plate.

Fantastic Italian restaurant with a contemporary vibe. Quality of food was a good as you find in Italy. This is the real deal!
