Food was so slow to arrive that my husband had finished his well before I got anything, and they when I did it was horrid. Both taco fillings - chicken and fish - tasted of nothing but old cooking oil. Couldn't get out of the place fast enough, thought I was going to be sick for one thing. Never again, terrible place, terrible food.

Feel like standards are slipping at Wahaca whilst prices go up and portion sizes get more stingey. This was a very disappointing visit. The food was still tasty but nowhere near the amount you used to get. Everything felt very rushed on the service side. I am sure the restaurant business is tough at the moment with rising costs but others are doing a great job of maintaining standards (looking at you Blacklock, where we had dinner later on - Bravo!). Not sure we'll be back to Wahaca.

From starter to dessert every thing was top notch, staff was really kind and helpful . Ambiance was really beautiful.

Our party of three arrived at different times. Paulina our waitress ensured that each person was welcomed and offered a drink whilst perusing the menu. She could not have been more attentive and happy to offer explanations about dishes. All the dishes we ordered were brought to the table freshly cooked and tasted even better than they looked.This was my first time at Wahaca and I look forward to further visits

We were served by Paulina who was utterly delightful. She was very knowledgeable and we ordered her recommendation dishes from the small plates menu and enjoyed all apart from the very sour red onions on a couple of tacos.

This place is AMAZING! Trust a mexican when traditional mexican food is the topic. Coming to London for Mexican food was not what the plan was, came here with very LOW expectations and we were AMAZED with everything from Fran our server (she made us feel right at home) to the most delicious gourmet nachos and drinks! Def coming BACK!

We went here for my birthday meal. Our waitress Paulina was phenomenal going through the menu with me to ensure that everything I ordered was safe for me as I have dietary requirements. She was patient and even made recommendations on how to best enjoy our meal. Could not believe it when she said she'd only been here a few months, she is already so knowledgeable.

This is my fourth or fifth visit to Wahaca over the last couple years. Food is quite good and the margaritas are excellent. Thanks to the waiter Javier who was friendly, helpful and efficient but did not hover.

Very crowded and loud place Average Mexican food

Came back after 16 years and it was as good as I remembered it. The fish taco was amazing but so was the bean and feta tostada. The salsas made the meal. We finished with churros although we should have stopped after the tacos! Afterwards we found it hard to walk. Memorable meal. Javier made our meal better by being prompt and cheerful.

It was our first time at Wahaca and we had an amazing experience. We shared a Discovery menu between the two of us and the food was spectacular. The staff were also super friendly and we will definitely be returning the next opportunity we get!

The most flavourful food I've had, never been here before but the place was so nicely decorated and the service was incredible, we were served by a woman called Paulina she was so friendly and made the best suggestions. 100% recommended coming here, the prices are really good too, can't wait to come back when I'm next in London.

We had a 5* per show lunch. Sandra was our host who us good advice and service. Busy and a bit noisey restaurant as you would expect in Covent Garden. Dishes were all fresh and tasty. Our cocktails were full ice cubes which was a let down. Our churros deserved a bit more chocolate sauce to do them justice. All good otherwise and will return soon.

The food at Wahaca is delicious! They have numerous vegetarian options such as plantain tacos and sweet potato taquito. We also got sweet potato papas bravas that were outstanding—I don’t even like sweet potatoes but everything was fantastic. We are only here for a week from the U.S. and have been here twice because it was so good!

Magical Dia de los Muertos window to greet me and friendly staff to welcome and serve me Informal seating but Delicious Passion Fruit with lime Margaritas and the Quesadillas were amazing

Decent Mexican food, which is always a pleasant surprise for a Californian living in the UK. Tacos are reasonably priced, although the pork tacos didn’t come with salsa on, had to order the salsa on the side which bumped up the price. Bugs me that the name of the restaurant is a misspelling (or an ‘Anglicized’ spelling) of Oaxaca (also the restaurant seems to just serve general ‘Mexican’ food, not specifically Oaxacan cuisine.)

I came to Wahaca in Covent Garden for the first time in 2008. If I am ever back in the neighborhood, I plan a meal there. It is not super expensive and the quality and atmosphere is fantastic. Good tacos, fresh guacamole, and other tasty treats. Give it a try!

On a recent night out in London, with visiting friends, we decided to catch up early for dinner, seeking sustenance and sanctuary before "The Lion King" roared into our evening. Our friends were a travelling family of two joyously tired parents and their two sons with beaming smiles, full of perpetual joy and contagious energy. We decided the menu at Wahaca looked good, and noted it was a large, busy, family-friendly haven right near the theatre that promised both good food and quick service - exactly what we needed. We grabbed a couple of serves of the guacamole for the kids, these were deliciously simple and were served with tortilla chips. While the kids’ told stories about their exploring of London and a dramatic recent loss of a tooth - I think the adults ate much more of the guacamole. The Mexico City Nachos hit the table, loaded with Trealy Farm chorizo, black beans, and a nice combo of salsas - I was glad to give them a go. I ordered one of the Summer Special "Pea & Mint Empanadas" - I thought they’d be better based on the ingredients and write up, but I was happy to give them a try. We got the Crispy Cauliflower Bites and Sweet Potato 'Bravas', they were good also, but the sweet potato bravas weren’t that crispy, but were still nice, served with jalapeno allioli and hibiscus salsa. For drinks all the adults decided that we were craving coffee instead of booze, but fate intervened cruelly as the waitress told us the coffee machine was broken. This led me to order a Coffee Tequila—a cheeky detour that I enjoyed. For mains, we went with a range of the tacos - chicken, beef and fish - and a chicken quesadilla to share. The kids enjoyed their own delightful bowls from the kids menu. No complaints with any of these and they came out fast as promised. We got the Churros for desert. After we paid the bills and prepared to leave, our waitress walked past us confidently and delivered a round of coffees to the table next to ours. It was a strange, hilarious twist that could not have been better planned or timed. It was a great space and a fantastic pre-show feast which allowed for a good value meal, some nice conversation, good laughs and just the right amount of absurdity before a magical night of theatre.

Our delightful server Kinga really looked after us!! Only 4 stars as we had to wait 15 minutes for our table to be ready after we arrived on time for our booking. Menus were given to us while we waited and we were not rushed at the end, so a busy Saturday night was handled as best they could! Food was delicious, especially Kinga’s recommendations! Thank you!
