Lovely food combined with speedy and excellent service. Staff were so friendly and efficient. We were undercharged for our wine and they had been so lovely I pointed it out and they waived the cost. Win win!

A very disappointing place for food, it’s dry and unseasoned. Staff are really lovely though.

Nothing stands out. Not worth the money. The worst patatas bravas I’ve ever had - compared with the ones I had in Spain.

Fantasic place, great night out! Great food especially the Octopus and cod cheeks! We were 6 people and had a great semi-private table in the vaults.

So yummy! Highly recommend the croquetas de Jamin iberico and pan con tomate!

After a hiatus of almost seven years, we decided to try this place again, for lunch with families. Whta a great surprise that they have kept the standards. Loing the vibes on sattuday and amazing food. We ordered a paella and that was seriously scrumptious. Really happy to know that things have remained the same and this is still a great lunch/dinner spot. Well done

We hadn’t made a booking on this busy Saturday night but we were accommodated right away. The food and service was absolutely exceptional. Staff were very attentive and extremely knowledgeable with my daughter’s chickpea allergy. Thanks for making it an amazing night for us.

Fantastic food, wonderful service and a charming atmosphere - what more could you want?!?! Our favourites were the Artichokes, Chicken with Sobrasada and the Biscoff Cheesecake; all incredible. We look forward to visiting again when next in London.

Do not eat here unless you want to get scammed. We had the Valentine’s Day menu, which said it was £69.99 per person with a minimum of two people. If you have to pay £135 for the meal no matter what, just say that on the menu. Either way it wasn’t worth it, £11 for water and a £20 gratuity that we didn’t get the option to not pay, it was just put on the receipt because they can. I’ve had better food at other places and have been more filled without paying £135 for it. This would have been a better review if it was at least half the price, but instead they take advantage of people wanting a nice dinner, thinking the meal might be worth it and splurging for Valentine’s Day. Don’t come here they are a bunch of scam artists.

Very chic restaurant and delicious food. Unfortunately, the waiters often walk past the table and you feel pressured to eat faster because every empty tapas plate wants to be cleared away immediately. However, the food is highly recommended, especially the mini burgers are something special.

Great food, reasonable prices given the location, great service, even though we were a big group.

The Paella Marinera and fried calamari were superb! Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who’s craving for some good Spanish food.

Oh my LORD They nailed it (everything) Bring a big bag of money and enjoy

This is unfortunately something I feel compelled to do . This restaurant has an a la carte menu but printed in small letters that tell you minimum spend per person JUST FOR FOOD should be £95 per person, not including drinks. Then when I called them threaten to charge me £50 per person if any of my guess cancel literally more than half their minimum spend per person. We get there to be told we can be seated unless all the party is there and if over 15min lateness don’t mater if more that half of us are already there our booking will be cancel. Also the tres then not to let my last guess in after he ran later than 15mins. The food wasn’t all that for the price the charge it was warm not hot, presentation looked good. The drinks and sides over prices and I have eating in the best restaurants in the world like at the Jules Verne in Paris top service incredible food. Now we finish our main they don’t offer us the desert menu trying to tell me my time is up, but yet a table that was there before us was having dessert and even after the finish the guy offer them tea and coffee. I have never indirectly been quicked out of a restaurant that is trying to charge me £920 pounds including service charge of £120 pounds. Told them to take of that service charge as I wasn’t going to pay for it after the stress they put me all week. The waiter kept bring bottle upon bottle of water for no reason just to up the bill. This is not even about money for me is the principal very unfortunate never going back and do not recommend anyone to go is a waste of time and money.

Delicious, paella is really delicious, I like it. It's a bit expensive though, not as cheap as what I had in Spain, but this is London, so it's understandable

I used to come here with friends and always had good time. Today one one the waitresses who is a bit slim with dark hair and big eyes had a really bad attitude serving me and my gf. Very rude and unacceptable. I don't know what happened in her life but it is very unprofessional and we felt very uncomfortable. All the other guys are cool.

Food is just good, but expensive.

This is the first time I give 2 stars review on a restaurant category We were a group of 3 people who went for early dinner at 4pm. Atmosphere upstairs seems okay but we were sat downstairs with no natural light and very loud when everyone was chatting Food is okay but not worth the money spent due to tapas size portion even for main dish. Nothing stands out, compared with tapas in Spain I’ve had before. The most disappointing part is service. The waitress downstairs made us felt rush, considering the restaurant was less than 50% capacity between 4-5pm We were interrupted a few times when we hadn’t finished Paella and they wanted to clear the table already. Moreover, they brought a card machine over while we hadn’t checked the bill yet. So I need to pay without checking at all I should have believed previous review about being rushed to leave. Not recommend for a mid food quality whilst being charged a big money

Very good food across the menu, but all portions are small including "main courses". The atmosphere is busy and lively. Service is good.

Christmas meal, great service, lively atmosphere, very busy place

The place was okay with decent food and atmosphere. I was having a good time with my friend today until a waitress named Miruna served us，if you would call it that. She was incredibly rude when we ordered，where she put in the wrong order and denied that she made the mistake in the first place. I do not know or want to know what is going on with her. It should be more than intuitive to know what attitude this job requires and most definitely not acting like Gordon Ramsey. This establishment needs a revision in staffing and that will most certainly help it achieve its fullest potential.

Reservamos esto antes del teatro y fue bueno. El menú tenía una serie de buenos platos que disfrutamos. No fue de lo más variado. Estaba moderadamente ocupado, pero el servicio era irregular. Algunos empleados eran bastante gruñón, pero un joven era muy sonriente y agradable. Una buena gama de cócteles si eso es lo tuyo. Las cabinas para sentarse abajo son elegantes y agradables si estás en un grupo.

It has been a great discovery. It's not exactly cheap, but the quality of the product, the atmosphere and especially the service makes it worth paying what we paid. Everyone was very friendly, but especially a Spanish waitress, who gave that extra touch that makes your stay pleasant.

My sister in law and her husband visit here every year for their anniversary. We went along Yesterday to see what all the fuss was about and we are now huge fans! Between 4 of us we enjoyed the following; Buñuelos De Gambas prawn fritters with garlic alioli Padron small green peppers from Galicia Croquetas De Pollo chicken croquettes Calamares A La Romana deep-fried fresh squid Huevos Rotos Especiales broken fried eggs, potatoes, chorizo, prawns & chilli peppers Patatas Bravas deep-fried potatoes in chilli, tomato & garlic sauce Champiñones Y Setas Al Ajillo mushrooms in garlic & breadcrumbs Croquetas De Jamón Ibérico Iberian ham croquettes Pollo Al Ajillo pan-fried chicken on the bone, white wine, garlic, olive oil Pinchos de Cordero lamb skewers with yogurt sauce Brownie Con Helado triple chocolate brownie & ice cream Crema Catalana crème brûlée with crunchy caramelised top ✨️ We absolutely loved this meal. We finished every bite! I highly recommend a visit and think the prices are very reasonable for central London. The ambience is fun, trendy and not pretentious at all. Super friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere.

Spanish cuisine in London. This is a popular local restaurant that is always full and very crowded. The atmosphere is very comfortable where you can eat casually and enjoy conversation and drinks. The paella is delicious and I recommend eating it with mayonnaise-garlic sauce.

Mixed first experience (busy midweek evening), would try again for weekend lunch. Good food, fair prices for Mayfair. Barman gave a warm and helpful welcome whilst I waited for my guests. Plenty of staff, yet different ones always checking on us to the level of interrupting any relaxed atmosphere (management pushing them to be very attentive or try and sell more?). But only been once, so open minded to return.

Best Spanish food I have tasted in London.

Admittedly I only booked this restaurant as it was highly recommended by Fred Sirieix and he said it was best tapas in London - well, he wasn’t wrong! Great restaurant with lovely, friendly staff. Food and drinks were all excellent. Bit pricey, but hey you are in Mayfair! We were a party of 7 and sat downstairs. The staff couldn’t have done enough and we had a fab evening!

The Iberian Pork Secreto stands out as a must-try dish! This flavorful cut from the Iberian pig is prized for its tenderness and marbling, making it rich and juicy when grilled. I will deffo revisit it again for this dish 🥰

I LOVE tapas but don't have it out very often, so last night's spread at @elpiratamayfair was an absolute treat! We had: ✨Toasted tomato bread with olive oil and garlic (And idk how they made tomato on bread taste so good) ✨Padron peppers ✨Calamares a la plancha. (SO recommend this dish! Beats fried calamari for me any day!) ✨Chicken croquettes ✨Octopus and potatoes with olive oil and paprika(Another must order!) ✨And prawns in oil, garlic and chilli It's also so refreshing to see a menu in the heart of Mayfair with prices that don't make your heart drop - but with absolutely 0 compromise on taste or quality. And as far as the feel in here goes it's on point for date night vibes: perfect lighting, beautiful interiors, busy (but not overly full), and of course all socially distanced.

As a demanding Spaniard, I have nothing but good words about it and highly recommend it. Extraordinario!!

they accomodated me and my friends on a short trip through London. They were very hospitable and the food was amazing. Highly recommend it.

Restaurant itself was pleasant. The food was also good but overpriced. Our issues were entirely with the service. They were very disorganised because we had 2 servers constantly coming to ask what we wanted to order, even after we had already placed an order. We were also still finishing our drinks and someone came to spray and clean the table while we were sitting! And there were plenty of empty tables and there wasn't any queue outside. We did have a lovely waitress who helped me charge my phone when I needed it and was accommodating, but she was the exception. Do not recommend this restaurant.

The restaurant is disappointing, the tapas have nothing to do with typical Spanish food. The amount of food on the plates is shameful, we ordered prawns al pil pil and they came with 4 prawns, for a super high price. I don't recommend it at all, we spent a considerable amount of money and left hungry.

From the moment we sat down we felt as if we were being rushed by the waitresses (we had two for some odd reason). And they were not warm or overly friendly. It was one of the fastest meals we’ve ever had. The food was okay but not great. Maybe it was a (very) off night, I don’t know. But I doubt we will return.

The restaurant has a pleasant atmosphere and a good selection of tasty dishes. I appreciated the nice touch of having our jackets stored in a cloakroom. However, while some of the staff were friendly, our waitress made us feel rushed and unwelcome, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. For a place of this caliber, that level of service was disappointing, which is why I’ve given a 3-star rating. It’s unfortunate because everything else was enjoyable, but this did affect our experience.

What a wonderful find, tucked away in the back streets of Mayfair, this splendid restaurant is a must visit. Amazing service… delicious coffee and food… as well as an upbeat vibe. We will definitely be back to sample some of that delicious wine showcased on your menu 😉

Food was pretty good. Bill was £50 pp (we only had tap water) for dinner. But the noise level was almost unbearable — all the guests talking bounced off the brick walls and it was difficult to hear my friend, we had to speak extra loud throughout the dinner. Didn’t have this problem during lunchtime. From now on, will only eat here for lunch!

El nombre realmente vale incluso el corso. Como español, no puedo creer que para tales platos pidan tales cargos Pequeñas cantidades, realmente caras... solo para snobs que quieran pensar que están en alguna Plaza Real o alguna cosa por el estilo.

We had fabulous food and experience in the little alcove on the lower level of the restaurant. Our local friend recommended the restaurant and we were thoroughly pleased with the food from the black rice calamari to paella to the Iberico ham. You won't be disappointed in any aspect with this establishment.

HBefore I placed my order, the waiter asked if I wanted water, and assuming it was complimentary, I agreed. She didn’t mention that it came at a cost. After paying, I noticed the menu listed both 330ml and 750ml options for water. However, she never asked me which size I preferred and instead served the 750ml without any clarification. This approach to upselling without informing the customer felt dishonest and left me quite frustrated.

We ordered four tapas and a brownie with vanilla ice cream. Just right! Only one drawback, the people at the table next to us had been there a while, and were a little boisterous (drunk.)

This is truly one of my favorite establishments in London. The tapas were exceptional, offering great value for the generous portion sizes. I also tried one of their red wine sangrias, which was incredibly flavorful and refreshing. I highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting London!

What amazing experience. Service was outstanding, food was so good we went back the next day. If you’re in the area it’s worth the visit.

I think we tried everything and it was all great, some things were not some of the guests cup of tea but with 9 of us there was nothing that did not find a hungry and appreciative beneficiary. Food, drink, service, ambiance all top drawer. Thank you all.

Been there twice. Food is amazing. The restaurant has a calm and cozy vibe. I've always found it full, yet the staff seems to have it all under control and everyone gets taken care of well. Relative to most places in the area, it's an absolute bargain in terms of cost as well.

Delicious tapas in a restaurant with a great vibe. Lovely location in the heart of Mayfair and down a quiet street. Service was very friendly and welcoming. Highlights were the bread with tomatoes, sliders, chilli prawns, and black rice and squid. Wine menu was quite extensive and reasonably priced. Will be going back!

Gorgeous food, wine and setting. A friend and myself enjoyed a bottle of dry rose and some tapas at El Pirata. The food was delicious, hot, and good value for money. Definitely recommend for a well priced central location.

Great food, in a nice setting. Albeit, the food portions could be bigger, and I found one of the waiters to be a little ‘off’, it felt like he had an attitude, hence 4/5 overall, as there is just no need, especially at those prices! Bit of a shame, as I want to give 5/5, but I cannot.

After a stroll in Green Park, my friend and I walked just 3 minutes to this Spanish restaurant for lunch. The ambiance was fantastic, with unique wall decor and beautiful flowers on the door. We ordered two glasses of wine, which were excellent. The tapas were also delicious, and we were very satisfied with our meal.

Great food and many options. There is a section on the menu specifically vegetarian. Recommend a reservation as it got quite busy around 6pm

Lovely cozy spanish restaurant with absolutely stunning tapas. Tapas serving speed was quick. Seafood paella is nice but might not be the best cost/price dish on the menu. Would love to try squid rice next time. Sangria tastes slightly watery but it somehow tastes like spain island restaurants’

It was a very exciting friends gathering and we specially booked the table early. When I arrived there are plenty of two tables available and we been seated at the front of the storage or service door. While we are watching waiters and waitress kept running in and out like a show for the whole evening , So Atmosphere ? Haha a party for two turns into a grand celebration. Very lively! However we did have a great night with rushed to finished the food and changed a place to enjoy lots of champagnes and wines at the end. So cannot comment on anything else.

If you like authentic Spanish food this is the place you need to visit.
