This is a hidden gem in Chiswick, the pizza and pasta dishes are amazing. We dined with our children and grandchildren, we were made to feel very welcome. This is a small restaurant where the service was very friendly and helpful, the food freshly prepared and served quickly. To be highly recommend 🥂🍻👍

We enjoyed delicious pizza and pasta last night. The staff were very welcoming, kind and accommodating. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The kitchen staff did a wonderful job. Thanks to Mark and the team for taking great care of us.

I went to La Tarantella last night for my 23rd birthday (8 people) - a very lovely restaurant with a really charming and authentic vibe. The food and wine was absolutely delicious (would definitely recommend the burrata!) and the service was incredible, all the staff were really smiley and pleasant even despite some late arrivals and orders on our end. They even brought out a complementary birthday dessert at the end which went down a treat with the table and was hugely appreciated! Totally recommend this place and I’ll definitely be heading back there next time I’m in Chiswick.

It's not often that I instantly fall in love with a restaurant, but this is one of them. Only a few stops from Richmond, it's close enough to us for very regular visits. This is no-nonesense, authentic Italian food. There's a lot of thought put into everything, and it shows. Prices are moderate, and the wine list is also well priced and comprehensive. There's something for everyone here. The service is very friendly and helpful. This could easily become a place we visit weekly.

Haven't been for a while but got a couple of pizza at lunch,takeaway. so so good, very tasty and well cooked pizza, friendley staff. will be back.

Beautiful little place tucked away just of the High Road

Had lunch there today. My first visit. Uncomfortable seating and mediocre food that needed seasoning desperately. It is reasonable but needs to be given the quality. Tomatoes on bruschetta were tasteless and some of my pasta undercooked. Not al dente. Hard. The server was pleasant and did not rush us but overall not great. Not coming back.

The perfect local! Relaxed, cosy extremely good value for money and always delicious antipasti and pasta dishes. Nice wine, too.

Bang on. My test for an Italian Restaurant is Arancini and Carbonara. They were in my top two I've ever had.

The best carbonara and pizza in town! My pasta was super fresh and the sauce was perfect, which can be hard to find eating out. Service was great too. Definitely worth a visit.

The prawn starter was perfect, the prawns were so tender and flavourful. The carbonara was fantastic, the lasagne was so rich and tasty and the pizza toppings were so fresh, you could taste every ingredient. To top it off, the cannoli dessert was deliciously sweet and crunchy. Will 100% be returning. The restaurant is small but cosy.

We had a lovely family dinner - no photos to share - but great meals were the burata, bruschetta, pizza and seafood pasta (exact names escape me). V affordable and enjoyable house white wine in a cosy festive atmosphere! Mushroom Ravioli was a highlight x

Ordered the petto ti pollo and it was seriously one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Served hot with mashed potato’s and some sort of outstanding mushroom type of sauce. Service was terrific as well, never had to look around for service. Portions are big man certified

This is our favourite restaurant in Chiswick. The pizzas are the best I have ever had and in addition there are delicious traditional starters, pastas mains and puds. Mark and Luciana , who took over the restaurant earlier , this year are charming and welcoming. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

This fabulous family run restaurant IS PROBABLY THE BEST ITALIAN restaurant in Chiswick. Hands down AND they are dog friendly. I can recommend them higher than any place in Chiswick

Just checked out Tarantella here, and they provide phenomenal Italian food. The vibe is cozy, and comforting. The menu is diverse and packed with flavour whether its pizza, pasta, seafood, desserts, they've done it all amazingly. Major props to Luciana and Mark for their awesome hospitality. They make you feel like you're very much welcome, and the food takes you back to Italy. If you're in London, don't sleep on this spot.

The food is really poor quality. The Risotto rice was hard and uncooked, and overall there was very little taste. The chicken dish came with potatoes which were raw/cold in the middle. The garlic pizza bread had almost no garlic on it. The dough was over stretched and appears to be cooked partially then finished off later when someone orders it meaning the dough was tough and chewy. The pizza had watery sauce with raw onions. The flavour was poor. Dishes with walnuts for example came with almost none present. The service was disappointing. No apology offered for bad food which had to be sent back. I would rank in the lower 5% of restaurants in chiswick. It is a shame considering the price paid for each dish.

Potentially good food cooked really badly. The 3 chilli garlic prawns had no chilli or garlic flavour, just a vinegar sauce?!? Chicken was served in the exact same vinegar sauce. Monk fish was ok, a bit over done with a burnt flavour. Very sub standard for the price. Definitely wouldn't recommend. Save your money for something better. And 12.5% service charge automatically added to the bill.

Absolutely amazing and lovely place, the owners are so kind you really feel welcome in the restaurant. Everything we ordered was perfect, we all had pasta but I would come back to try the pizze as they looked divine. The tiramisu was the best of the desserts we try: one to order.

Four of us dined on a Sunday night. The food was mediocre. Starters of burrata and bresaola, liver pate all were sub-standard. My main of duck pasta was bland, meat pieces not soft enough whilst pasta was over cooked. The service was not particularly friendly. The guy seemed bothered that we were asking questions and asking for recommendation. We mentioned we wanted to share starters and they didn’t think of mentioning that the pate it only comes with one piece of bread. All in all, I could have eaten much better at home.

Amazing food! The starters were very delicious, the pizza was YUM and Mark was very friendly. The restaurant has a very sweet home like atmosphere just like many restaurants in Italy!

My husband and I tried Tarantella for the first time tonight! The atmosphere was so lovely, decorations beautiful, and food was so delicious! We tried the Burrata, pate, duck Ragu & funghi pizza! Marks presence and service made the night so much more enjoyable too

The restaurant was under new management and a new menu, I was very disappointed with the taste, The portion was smaller and the price increased, not worth visiting again, so sad we lost our favourite.

Lovely Italian great food, compact space!

Cosy restaurant with seating both upstairs and downstairs. High standard of customer service and delicious typical Italian food. Very popular so booking advised. The four of us enjoyed a leisurely three course meal with a couple of bottles of red. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. If you love Italian food then this is the place to go. Highly recommend.

Amazing authentic Italian. Husband runs the restaurant and his wife is the chef. She’s from Puglia and the food is so delicious and authentic. Our highlights were the carbonara and tiramisu.

This is a wonderful, family run Italian restaurant. We've eaten there twice now, and can highly recommend the Lasagna, the Tonnarelli with pistachio pesto and lams, and the pizza. They also have an affordable wine list. It is a very small place, so reservations would be a good idea.

Awful value for money!! Terrible cold spaghetti with tasteless tomato sauce. Prawns in shells are watery and tasteless as well. A lot of the staff had really miserable snotty attitudes aside from a taller gentleman.

Went there for Saturday lunch after a long trek through London. The restaurant's ambience had a traditional Italian style. We felt very welcomed and the service was great. We ordered the burrata and garlic bread for starters and the Napolitano pizza as a main. The food was fresh and the taste was supreme. If I'm ever out in west London, I'm definitely stopping by here again.

Not a so great place. Food took ages to come, the veal with tuna sauce was nothing exceptional, sauce was not even enough to cover the dish. Pizza was ok. Not one of this places where I would come back

Stumbled in for lunch and had the set menu. It was lovely home cooked italian food, really delicious, and we had a great wine to go with it. They were also very welcoming to us and kind to our kid.

First time to visit. Food was ok, but not great. The veal in the vitello tonnato was pretty dry. The pizza had a thick base, which some people prefer, but not my favourite. The pastas on our neighbours table looked good. Maybe I'll try the pasta if we go back.

Just discovered this little gem practically on our doorstep. A family run Italian with delicious food. Great service. I can recommend the carbonara and my husband loved the lasagna. Delicious desserts.

Lovely independent Italian restaurant. The handmade seafood spaghetti was so fresh and delicious but just a personal preference I would prefer the dish to be slightly piping hot - it would definitely enhance the already tasty sauce . Friendly and efficient service would definitely visit this restaurant again.

We were attracted to La Tarentella as it is independent, which is important to us. We were a walk in and lucky to get a table for two as it was already busy and I'm so glad we did! The food was stunning, the service -personal and charming. We don't live locally but if we did it would easily become a regular dinner out. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

We dropped in tonight Friday night 9th June, we hadn't booked but were staying nearby for my sons wedding on Saturday Such a lovely evening, the staff were attentive and the food well .....I almost inhaled my Tortelloni con Ricotta e Limone ai Gamberi it was so good I wish them well in everything they do and hope they make a success of their business and judging by tonight, you will soon have to book months in advance

Used to love this restaurant and go every month. Now it changed owners and the food has 100% deteriorated. So has the service. Ordered a kid meal and got charged 11 pounds for 3 spoons of pasta with pesto for a 2 year old. Just really sad about the whole experience. Prices higher, service and food super low.

Wowza is the word to use to describe the food that i had on monday night!! I had the filleto di manzo steak on the hot stone. I couldn’t remember the last time i had a steak like that. No one in western compares to it! My wife had the lamb cutlets which i tried too, due to the fact i loveeeee food, (real foodie i am) which was amazing full of flavour being cooked to perfection. Im definitely going to make TARANTELLA THE ONLY PLACE I GO TO IN WESTERN!!! Kind regards Romeo

Fantastic little Italian tucked away off the high road. Have been here many times and the food is always excellent, and prices are good for the area. I especially recommend going at lunch when they run a lunch menu that offers great value. Service is always friendly and attentive. Easy recommendation.

You don't get particularly fancy cooking in La Tarentella but it's good hearty food which comes quickly with a smile. Pizza was excellent and not bad wine either. Nice atmosphere as well. They could probably do with a few specials just to liven things up.

I went here for a last minute meal when visiting friends and I must say if this was in my home town I would eat here every week!! Food is amazing and the staff and owners are super friendly and accommodating! Highly recommended for a good date night or family meal!!

Only 4 stars for the food as i was hopping in home Made pasta, but just my personal hope, pasta served was a good quality cooked al dente. Genuine home made pasta sauce. Parmigiano was freshly grated on it, and in abundance. I loved it and i will definitely go back. Reminds me somehow of an Italian "circolo" or a tinny trattoria. Its definitely worthing a try.

All the food at this place is absolutely delicious, real quality, the staff are incredibly kind and friendly, the service is one of the best I’ve experienced, this place is a real jewel, if you want Italian here you will get the full experience, you will be back at this joint for sure! Ridiculous quality-price balance. The food is authentic, with intense flavours. Noisy and small, a bit messy, a side street in Chiswick resembling an Italian side street trattoria. I go there when I am working from home and can sneak out for a delicious lunch. Very recommended.

Tarantella is a local folklore dance popular in Southern Italy in the Apulian region of Salento. I was born there. My fiancée brought me here for a date. I must say the food doesn't reflect any authentic food from that region and is clearly tailored for London taste. Nothing wrong with it. It's still Italian style and overall generous portions. Good value for money. I'd have expected some more typical dishes of the region.

Only pics of dessert (tiramisu and espresso) because the mains were so good we scoffed them down too quickly. Sometimes one forgets that a bruschetta is toast with tomatoes - but then one remembers how amazingly fresh and zesty it tastes when done properly. We also had the squid pasta and a glorified bolognaise (my one gripe, I wish they had called it as such). Anyway would highly recommend this small hidden gem just off the main Chiswick high street.
