Awesome atmosphere, very friendly and fun staff. And to be honest gorgonzola sandwich with the salad can only compare to the taste of food I had in the South of France, no kidding. Dog friendly and customer friendly place, brilliant experince, thank you very much

I was recommended this place by a friend of mine and to try canoli. I went with a Americano coffee to go which was served with lovely almond biscuits. There was a choice of 3 different canolis to choose from, I think hazelnut, pistachio and 1 other. I went with pistachio which taste stale and dry and was rather disappointed 😞 by this. I was expecting a fresh canoli. Unfortunately I was too far away to go back and complain about this. Apart from that service was excellent and coffee was good. Thanks for reading this review. I paid for my meal and this is my personal review.

Lovely place for a quiet cup of coffee with a lovely choice on the menu. The pistachio pastry was very nice. I have popped in there at other times and food is always nice and toilet always clean. Very friendly place

Popped in for breakfast after a long walk. Bacon sandwich was delicious and coffee good as well! Will def go back. Loved the quirky wallpaper in the toilet!

Been going for years, good quality and a very reasonable price. Staff are lovely.

Myself and three other members of staff (support workers) who support a young man arrived here to purchase a cup of coffee but found the cafe to have just closed due to us arriving late, the young lad I was with was very eager to have a cuppa as is his usual routine, seeing he was unhappy the lady who was on staff and currently closing up decided to stop and make him a latte to go despite having cleaned up and closing the shop, she was very pleasant with him and made small talk with him, he was very happy with this and enjoyed the interaction and the coffee, he left in a very happy mood and this most likely contributed to the happy tone he had for the rest of the day, she didn’t need to open back up or provide a coffee, we arrived well after the stated closing time and we where at fault, her kindness and cheerful attitude helped brighten his day and we where all very thankful for it.

Nice cafe. Good breakfast. Responsive staff. Generous tea-pot.

Lovely food. I had the gorgonzola panini and the side salad. Absolutely delicious and too big to finish. Dog friendly too, which is brilliant.

This is a nice cafe with good food options. We are vegan and there was a vegan option and coffees with alternative milk were available. The only slight negative is that the tables do not have numbers, which leads to slightly less organized table service and slightly longer waits for your food - so listen out for the waitress calling out with your order as she walks around the cafe.

The coffee is really good and bacon sandwich is lovely. There is a good choice of food reasonably priced to. Staff are friendly and welcoming.

A quirky eatery which is dog friendly. We had fresh and tasty grilled vegetables and a delicious capresse salad served with Italian bread. Olive oil and balsamic too! All served with great service. We had red wine and Miretti beer. A great meal at lunch time on a Wednesday when most other places were shut. This was a perfect lunch for us on our short break to the area. Thankyou !

Fantastic eatery and coffee shop just down from the metro station at Cullercoats. Great bacon sandwiches and nice coffee.

Truly abysmal service - as in a 45 minute wait for a panini when there were no other customers! Strong recommend any of the other local cafes instead.

Staff considerate of customer needs; very polite, too! Other customers appreciate it too. Dog friendly (for friendly dogs).

Fantastic and friendly staff. Much better food than opposite competition! Card machine wasn’t working today and they were happy that I brought the cash later. Sandwiches were absolutely delicious and takeaway they are only £4.50! Well worth a visit and wish I have tried the sweet stuff!!

I love this place, like home from home. I don’t live in the area but everytime I am down the coast I will call in, the best ever coffee, always piping hot and strong, after living in Italy for 3 years and trying a lot of coffee shops this is by far the closest to a real Italian coffee I know n warms me right up, sometimes you get a coffee that is warm or like warm or too much milk but this always hot. It’s also my partners fav, so no matter where we are down the coast we go there. We won’t go anywhere else if we can help it! The staff are lovely, always feel welcome and the salads are amazing that I had in the summer and in the winter I like warmer stuff to warm me up and I love the sandwiches. Cannot recommend this place enough for a good quality true Italian coffee. As it’s down a side street you could miss it, me and my partner found it by exploring rather than staying on the main strip along the coast and what a little gem find it was. Our favourite spot all year round for coffee and food 😀

Because it's further away from the main beach road, it's where the locals and people in the know go. Lovely cosy little place. Amazing Italian sandwiches - more interesting than the usual egg and cress or tuna cucumber. The bacon sandwiches are terrific though, as are the pizzas.

This place used to be good, but now it isn't welcoming. The staff seem more interested in talking about their private life with their friends. We won't be returning.

Passed this establishment regular and decided to call in with a friend. Was greeted by 2 x lovely members of staff. Nothing was a bother. Lovely coffee and jacket potato,s were cooked to perfection. Will definitely be back for a sharing platter
