A nice friendly cafe on Front street Prudhoe, a good selection of food and teas and coffees, Karen bakes all the cake's for her cafe and it's a really nice place to visit, it also has outside seating, I fully recommend a visit to this delightful establishment.

My friend and I discovered this little cafe a few months ago now. We both swear by it. Attentive service, polite, friendly, approachable. The food is Cooked to your liking. Nothing is too much trouble. It's the perfect place in Prudhoe. They'll never lose my custom.

I try to meet my friend here every week. We love it. You're made to feel so welcome and the other customers are so regular that everyone is known by their name. The staff are so attentive and make you feel valued and important. The food is lovely and Cooked to your liking. You couldn't keep me away. Well worth a visit.

My wife and I have eaten in La Piccola on a number of occasions and have always had a pleasant time. The food choice is excellent and well priced and the staff are very friendly. What more could anyone want? Certainly the best place to have a light lunch in Prudhoe.

Unpretentious, yet smart and proper, home-cooked food. Never expensive, unlike most coffee shops. Proper coffee, unlike most tea shops. Soups and savouries are the best, in my view, but all the food and drinks are excellent. Service like you are in your favourite auntie's. Karen, the owner, is a sweetheart who cares about her customers. Like a home from home.

La Piccola is a brilliant place to eat, drink and chat. The staff are great, welcoming and eager to please. It doesn't really matter what you order from the menu or the chiller, the food is excellent and most of it is home made. Its so popular that you may find items like soup or cheese scones are sold out. There is a face book site so visit that to see the food and more comments such as this. There are a number of other cafes along Front Street, but don't waste your time looking there, you wont beat this one!

This place is a totally fantastic! Do not miss out on the 'Kipper in a Bun'. I wavered, and thought to maybe have a 'Banger in a Bun' although was so glad I went with the Kipper. Perfectly cooked Kippers, Lemon mayonnaise, in a soft white roll eaten on the beach was just divine. Wife's comments were 'That was Lush!'. Great friendly service and all locally sourced delicious produce. Even the coffee was from Holly Island! All in a free car park!

You have to try afternoon tea here! Likely need to book in advance, we were given a great choice of sandwiches when we booked. On the day, we were seated upstairs right by the window looking over the sea, a fabulous view even on a grey winter afternoon. The food was delicious, more than we could eat though we gave it a good go. Good mix of savoury and sweet, some other afternoon teas elsewhere have too much sweet stuff. Suzanne, the owner, and the staff are so welcoming and helpful, and the cost was so reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

I was recommended the Bari Tea Brewery by a friend and was not disappointed. The range of teas on offer was vast with many interesting flavours! I had the green ginger tea with a scone which was freshly baked and was very tasty! Service was very good and all the staff very friendly.

Popped in for a drink after a dog walk (dogs very welcome here) with my husband and daughter. My daughter had a gorgeous and generous milkshake while my husband and I had coffee and tea. The owners are lovely and the cafe was a great, welcoming space with a fun mini ice cream van for the little ones. Our dog was offered a treat (and gladly accepted!) and there was fresh water for him too. We even bought a gift from the lovely selection of gifts and homewards on offer. We didn’t eat but the food looked great and we’ll definitely be back!
