Taking order very late, food was okay, pizza was melted, too much tomato paste , not comfortable to eat, stuff are running like a crazy, someone was fighting in the hall, dessert small portions, expensive and not valuable! Yes, and we wait for taking order of dessert 2 hour;)

Not gonna lie this was a amazing experience the food was cooked very well and the staff were so nice to me

I'm proud to have been a regular at this fine establishment for the past few months and would go every day if my wages allowed. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, I usually order takeaway to take back to the office, but they always offer me a table and a drink while I wait for my food. Outside of the country itself I've never had a better portion of gnocchi.

Went for Saturday lunch with the family. Great food., kids had pizzas , my wife had pasta and I had chicken. All were delicious. Value ok

Wonderful evening with a local group of friends, totalling 14. The food was hot, fresh, tasty and fresh. The staff were attentive and in very good cheer. There was also another table behind us of about 20 people as well as what seemed like a full house downstairs. This business did not compromise our food or experience.

Did exceptionally well for The Kembery family today. Food all came in time, considering there was 18 of us. Food, you cannot fault each oder, with no Complaints at all. Unusual for our fussy lot. Great atmosphere, staff excellent to management. Complaints to the chief for such delicious 😋 🤪 yummy experiences with different authentic tastes for us all. 10 / 10 and a massive thank you. 😊

Food is good but very overpriced. We also felt hemmed in by other diners. Have always loved this place but not sure we'll be returning at these prices. £7.95 is way over the top for a basic side salad.

Food average, considering prices charged . Not impressed with service charge of 10% on a normal family party of four adults and one child of six years old. Our bill was £152 therefore the service charge of £15 seems well over the top for extra work, if any, involved? I guess we may have to try the competitors in the high street where prices are lower and service charges are discretionary. To be completely fair upon mentioning our cause for complaint the manager refunded the £15 , whereupon we made a discretionary cash payment for service rendered. Times are hard for" both" the hospitality trade and their customers.

What a nice restaurant in the pedestrian area of shoreham, the food was cooked to perfection, and the staff that served were so friendly and attentitive, and there wasn't even a long wait, this is a place that we will certainly return to, for some more of their delights

We ate here as a party of 4 on a Saturday night in January. We had prebooked. Downstairs was very busy, plenty more seating upstairs which was not being used. All the food we had was very good. We had starters and mains. The garlic bread with cheese and the cannelloni were very tasty. We shared two bottles of house white wine which was reasonably priced and tasted good. No beers on draft which is a shame as the bottled beers seem so expensive. Extensive menu and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Worth going out of your way for.

It's my daughters favourite restaurant. The children's portions are generous and the pizzas are yummy . The waiters and managent are always very friendly.

The best pizza I have tasted. Staff suggested we try their pizza range as they recently installed a top-of-the-range pizza oven. It tasted amazing. I'll be recommending La Galleria to friends/family.

The cheese starter is unreal, the sauce compliments the crunchy cheese - it’s a perfect mix of flavours. The pizza was very fresh and light. You really get a taste of Italy in that place - definitely recommend.

Absolutely disgusting service with a rude manager (Ismet Yesil) who was arrogant and this then showed through his colleagues as the manager sets the tone. Our experience ended after having to go up to the manager (who was on his WhatsApp messages texting and laughing)...

Just popped into this restaurant by chance and had a fabulous meal. We had aubergine lasagna, a vegetarian risotto with mushrooms spinach and garlic and my son had a gorgeous pizza. We didn’t book but were found a table regardless. Our server was George and we had great service from him. He made a mistake on our order but it was rectified very quickly. We couldn’t stay for dessert as our parking was restricted on time but will be back again for sure. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Visited here for Christmas Eve, as our usual regular spot La Tavola in Southwick Square was fully booked. We both wish we saved the trip and money as this was the second time we've been La Galleria, and both times were truly dreadful experiences. Firstly when we arrived we got put onto a table which was a nice spot. Only for 2 minutes later a different member of staff came, and said that their colleague made a mistake and that we had to move. So we got moved onto the smallest most cramped table in the restaurant. The staff then took ages to serve us with a different clueless member coming each time, all as bad as eachother. Especially the stuck up snobby waitress with black hair. The food was as bad as it gets, portion sizes are suitable for a newborn baby not adults. The prices are ludicrous for the tiny amount you receive. They're also charging £15 for a single of Hennessy when you can get a whole bottle for £30 in the supermarkets🤣!! It was boiling hot in the restaurant like usual and when the air con eventually came on above us, the weird waitor kept coming over to turn it away from us even though we told him we liked it. We got the bill ASAP and got out of there quick style as we didn't want to stick around in the chaotic atmosphere with everyone shouting and screaming. Couldn't hear ourselves think or speak. Also a very judgemental place, not just the staff but also other customers. Avoid like the plague!!! La Tavola in the square is a million times better then La Galleria and we will stick to going there and make sure we book early. As we won't be visiting La Galleria ever again.

We went to La Galleria this year for our Christmas dinner. The food was awful undercooked and only 3 veg carrots, sprouts of which we literally had about 3 of each and 2 shrivelled parsnips. The roast potatoes did not resemble roast potatoes they were...

1st table of the evening so service was good. Food was average, mushrooms starter tasted and looked like they were tinned. Main course, rizzotto was very salty so left half. Tiramisu was ok. Discrepancy with the bill, felt like we had been over charged as...

We had our staff Xmas party here and it was amazing. Food was spot on and the atmosphere was good.Most of us had 3 courses and the portions were generous.Good selection of drinks and friendly staff.5 star ⭐ Would definitely recommend.

The bathroom is spectacular and very clean, absolutely beautiful. My starter was chewy like rubber, so I refused it. My main and desert were good. Staff were friendly, but service incredibly slow. All in all, I'm glad I tried it, not the worse place I have been to. Wouldn't bother trying it again. But the staff are very friendly.

My pasta was noticeably undercooked. It was still edible, but when somewhere advertises itself as an authentic Italian place I expect better.

Genuinely a fantastic lunch. Food was delicious and great portion sizes. Really friendly and helpful staff. Will 100% be returning for many meals in the future and would recommend to anyone. Under £50 for 2 main courses, 2 drinks and 1 pudding.

Shockingly bad, over-priced food

Today we were visiting family and decided to come here for lunch… good food and great service… the hubby even got to debut their Calzone Fritto. The waiter said it would bring him joy and he was exactly right! Big thumbs up!!

Lovely place with good quality food, only issue experienced was the speed of service was very slow. However, don’t let this put you off as it was a busy Saturday evening, will attend here again but on a quieter day. Service was great from the waitress.

The owner and staff are great, but the food is very average and nothing at all special. We go because it is close to home, not because of the food.

Tried this place out for a second time. Sadly even worse. Staff and service excellent, but food poor. We both ordered seafood linguine. Tasteless, what a shame as its in a great spot in Shoreham and you couldn't wish for nicer staff. Won't be returning.

A really lovely lunch at this nice Italian. Lovely glass of Pinot Grigio and excellent pasta and pizza. Took my 1 year old nephew… great service, waitress picking up his toys. Changing facilities really good. Will definitely return.

Been here many times in the last three years and had great food and service but today standards slipped..change in menu little choice..inattentive service..disinterested staff..average food..main was just a load of linguine with a few tomatoes..hardly any seafood! Couldnt eat it all..Waiting 20mins trying to order a desert..gave up and had to attract attention to order a coffee ..waited for the bill..never again

To be honest we have eaten at the Galleria my partner and I and various family member on many occasions..The food was excellent but unfortunately my partners food was inadequate in quantity.. The drink were price extortionate for the wines at £14.15 for the red per glass!! and over £10 for a white per glass!! We have no problem in paying but we will not I our view be ripped off!!

Yep, a great dinner, which arrived promptly by lovely waitress. No room to sit outside because it was a warm evening, but inside felt well ventilated, and a cosy atmosphere. Overall great evening.

This is such a lovely family run restaurant..the food is alwasy good, the local is peaceful and all the staff are so freindly. Anna was our waitress yesterday and was efficient and kind too.

Friendly waiting staff and nice looking restaurant. There is an outside seating area. We’ve not been to La Galleria for several years. Thought we’d try it again for a family celebration. The prices are on the high side however this isn’t an issue for us if the food represents this. Unfortunately it didn’t on this occasion. The pizza was covered in thick cheese more like an American pizza. My daughter and I both had ‘penne Filleto’. The sauce was watery, in my opinion someone forgot to add the flour to thicken it to make it into a sauce rather than the gravy that it was in. My daughter asked me why she had pasta soup. The seafood risotto was good. My experience was expensive for an under whelming meal this time.

Food was okay - there are better Italians around for price and service. Was disappointed that after paying our bill we were rushed out, and asked to leave for other customers, despite us not having yet finished our drinks - and having only been there for about 1.5 hours in total.

Great place. My friend and I had salads for her birthday and the quality as well as portions was amazing. The ingredients were super fresh. The atmosphere and the service was great as well.

Food Having been to La Galleria around six times in the past five years (due to working overseas), I decided to have lunch there on Wednesday 16th August with my beautiful, better half on a romantic date. Being half Sicilian, I was spoilt by my Mama with tasty food all the time. Izmir (I think that is the spelling) the owner, is not Sicilian but I have awarded him honorary Sicilian status, as he has made this restaurant a jewel on the South Coast with its Italian and Sicilian food. Although I have not met them, the two chefs are Sicilian and the meals they are making are perfect. One of the dishes I had was lasagne - it was better than Mama's! There are many Italian and Italian style restaurants in the UK - I have been to many. There are also a few other Sicilian restaurants within thirty minutes’ drive. I do visit these as well, but to be perfectly honest and not wishing to upset the others, they come a close second and third - but La Galleria is number one! Staff The owner mingles in with his staff and provides a friendly service to the guests (not customers – that’s what he makes you feel like). The other staff where friendly and courteous except for Anna. Now Anna is a special case. Although she is not Sicilian – but Brazilian she is perfect! If she is looking after you will be spoilt. So please Izmir don’t fire her if she spends too much time socialising with the guests – that’s what we want – you have a treasure there – don’t let her go back to Brazil (except for holidays) 😊

Three of us turned up without a booking and got a table straight away. The weather was awful, but there was a steady stream of custom. We had Spaghetti Bolognese, Penne with steak and the Lasagna. They were all wonderful. Oh and we had calamari for a starter. Very nice. For dessert, we had profiteroles, the children's ice cream, and Tiramisu. All a lovely way to finish the dinner. The waitress was lovely and attentive but I apologise for not getting her name. A great place for dinner in Shoreham

Three out of 4 dishes were excellent. I was surprised that they weren’t able to produce a proper carbonara! Ham and a scrambled egg sauce is not carbonara. I have also given 3 for atmosphere for the noice level. My generous host was tempted to complain. From the greetings from staff he was obviously a regular! And this was a Sunday!

Myself and 3 teenage children happened upon this wonderful restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat in Shoreham (and escape a swarm of newly hatched flying ants!). With an inviting facade and extensive Italian menu, we were warmly greeted and seated at a window table which gave us the chance to watch the world go by. The interior was clean and spacious , although the tables were close enough to create a cosy Italian ambience. Service was friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble for the lovely waiter and waitress. All 3 children were very happy with their food choices (pizzas, calamari and chips) and agreed that it is a restaurant we would like to return to for a future treat. My daughter visited the loo upstairs (apparently very nice) and said she thought the upstairs room would be an excellent venue to have a party - should anyone have a special occasion. I don’t usually write reviews but I felt compelled to give a five star rating for this establishment. I highly recommend it. We will definitely be back.

I'm shocked I haven't left a review already. I've been here so many times over 10+ years. The owner is really nice chap, always smiling. Staff are wonderfull. I've taken groups of people here to eat and ordered take away. Every time without fail the food is superb. I side has gone through quite a large refurbishment a couple of years ago. Worth visiting. Shirt walk from the train station. Parking is a little limited near by but options.

We went in for lunch me and my sister we had the fillet steak pasta and the chicken creamy dish with veg and mushrooms and asparagus, everything was incredible, so tasty, the veggies were amazing! We will be back with our families :)

Popular Italian restaurant with plenty of outside seating. Great location and open for coffee, snacks and main meals. Food good quality but may have to wait for a table even when pre booking

So expensive, their prices match London prices, check out their steak prices compared to say, Hawksmoor or Gaucho. But the food does taste and is well made.

Really bad pizza cheap cheese floppy base and way too much cheese from a bag .. no fresh ingredients in afraid to say disappointing

Outstanding friendly and excellent service, fresh delicious food. I turned up by chance, and had my arm in a sling. They could not have been more helpful and courteous.

The food was good but went with a large party, and we were separated on two tables they had plenty of warning, so could have organised tables better, as a group was difficult socialising. Other disappointment was they were happy to bring out the birthday cake and sing but refused us to be able to eat it. Everywhere else we've been before have been great on this .

This was our first time at La Galleria. On previous visits to Shoreham we'd eaten at Brio and were disappointed to find it had closed down. No need to be disappointed as La Galleria proved to be its equal and is now firmly on our list for our next visit.

Went to the Galleria for lunch catch up with friends. They have a special lunch deal menu or normal menu. Neil was very helpful in helping us with our selection. Service from him was attentive and he came over exactly when needed. Food was amazing so much flavour and priced right for what you get. Would definitely go again. Thank you Neil and your team for making lunch perfect.
