We have been in this restaurant many times and the experience is consistently great! The food is delicious and there is plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. Service is friendly and the overall atmosphere is very relaxed! Highly recommended!

I ordered the ‘La Gioconda’ pizza online. According to the menu, it’s topped with burrata, mozzarella, porcini mushrooms, Italian sausage and truffle. Unfortunately there were no porcini mushrooms whatsoever. Instead, the pizza had button mushrooms! Even though the product was expensive, and falsely advertised, I have not been given a refund or any compensation by the delivery company or the restaurant…

What a great find. Great food and amazing wine list. Luch time they running an offer for £8.99 for any pizza or pasta! Amazing value.

Me and my partner woke up in need of some good food to fuel us through the day. We love to try new places and we saw that la gioconda was only a 10 minute drive from us. We fancied a good traditional Italian meal. Let me start by saying they surpassed every expectation we had before we even knew it. Ergina the host and server was with us every step of the way serving not only great customer service, but the best vibes, and big smiles. Now the food. UNREAL. Being vegetarian they had plenty of options and I went for the veggie pizza which had my mouth watering from the flavour explosion and perfect dough. My partner went for the classic carbonara, when being served the dish the chef let us know it would be the best carbonara we have ever tasted. Let me just say…..HE DID NOT LIE!!! From the authentic ingredients and immaculate decor and environment we left with full belly’s and smiles on both our faces. Thank you to the chef, to amazing Erzina and to this gem of a restaurant in Hornsey, you guys have made our week! They say it’s the best pizza in town and that is only the start of the truth. Visited here on a Friday night for dinner and the restaurants was maybe half full. The food was nice but service needs to be improved.. There were lots of staff milling around but it took 20 mins for our drinks order to be taken and an hour from when we arrived, for our cold starter to arrive. The waitress didn’t apologise just noted that we were patient and if it were her she’d be asking for a free drink yet she never gave us a free drink (?!) Waitress forgot our plates so had to wait again to eat after the food had been served. Also noticed other customers being given free limoncello but that wasn’t offered to us. I doubt we will return because of the service

This is fast becoming my favourite restaurant. Excellent Italian food in a cozy atmosphere . Loved the Pappardelle Al Brasato Di Chianti and Ravioli Prawns and Scallops.

Posto accogliente e familiare. Ci sono stata due sere consecutive per provare piatti differenti ed in entrambi i casi abbiamo mangiato benissimo. I ordered pizza. In the menu they don't say it's a onion or garlic. In the note I wrote " Without onion and garlic" and this useless people put onion on the top of it. After I received it ring to the restaurant. Someone answered me. I start conversation with him and he cancelled me. Absolutely useless staff. People don't use this " restaurant" PLEASE

The delivery tracking showed the driver outside the apartment but I waited for some time before calling the restaurant to find out what's happening. During that time the order showed as delivered, yet no delivery had been attempted. The restaurant staff were not interested since the order was done through Just Eat and were not going to do anything to help. Just Eat may be responsible for the delivery but it is your reputation that it affects. Very unhappy!

we visited this restaurant recently and were disappointed . Firstly we were left at the table for 5 minutes without a menu whilst the staff chatted. Our food arrived and the chicken l ordered was not edible, it was tough ,overcooked and really dry, l struggled to cut it. I left it and mentioned to the waiter that it wasn't edible and he looked blankly at me. He didn't apologise or offer an alternative. l requested a discount but he returned with the full price bill and said he'd knocked off the service charge which is voluntary anyway !!!! l told me l wanted a discount off the meal and he started to argue. We decided to leave as we couldn't be bothered to argue. We won't return again. Poor customer service and terrible food sadly.

Had delicious food, the medium pizzas are a generous size. The starters were great too. It was obvious that the restaurant is popular with the locals and I can see why. The waitress was lovely and the service was spot on with the right amount of attention and great knowledge of the menu. Loved it!

I went for a dinner with my girlfriend to eat a pizza. As Italians, we spent some time to find this place which looked all right at first, but the pizza was not good, nothing to do with the pictures and the ingredients were very poor. Never tried a mozzarella bad like that, and also the rest wasn’t the best. If you want to drink beer you’ve got only one choice (bottle of Moretti). We decided to not have a dessert at that point and we had a coffee which was also bad. Speaking about the customer service we can say that they don’t consider you much, and this until the end in fact after asking for the check we waited some time at the table and then standing up we kept waiting at the till. We think that the restaurant plates could offer more quality but we won’t be back to try.

Had space so got in and had dinner with a glass of wine. Tagliatelle mushrooms and truffle was ok but not special, bread on the bruschetta was pretty firm perhaps hard, staff were great and it was ok

Estuve allí con mi novio para tener una pizza. Somos italianos y esperábamos la pizza napolitana ofrecida en el sitio web, pero era completamente diferente de las fotos. Estaba seco, con ingredientes de mala calidad y tenía perejil en lugar de orégano, que estaba escrito en el menú. . . ¿Perejil en pizza? ? Pagué 10 por una margherita grande que era exactamente del mismo tamaño que una pizza mediana.

Desde Escocia visitando para Año Nuevo. Se puede pasar fácilmente por este restaurante, solo para el auto que sobresale del frente. Engañosamente pequeño por fuera pero grande por dentro. El servicio fue excelente y la cerveza de Cerdeña fue fantástica! Para rematar, las pizzas fueron las mejores que he probado. Recomiendo encarecidamente que lo intentes.

The staff taught us a few words. The dedcor is tasful but also has some quite amusing things to look at. The Food was utterly delicous was blown away but just how pleasurable it all was would come back without questions in the future

This is one of my lunchtime secrets when i slink off away from the office for a quick bite and the pizza for £5.99 is a good idea for those on a budget. It's such a lovely people the owner and his team always make me feel very welcomed its a lovely family atmosphere but not the kind of place you see lots of children!

Had the most amazing breakfast when nowhere nearby was open and by golly i needed that! The smoked salmon and eggs were perfection lashed down with fresh orange juice and some of the nicest coffee ever it set me up for a busy day ahead.

When we're struggling to rustle up anything from the cupboards we pop to gioconda, its not far from us and we've never been dissapointed. Probably go there maybe once a fortnight. The food is always great and we love stefano and his team. Always takes care of us and makes us feel special.

Ambience good and the food freshly made to order! We sat at the front & could see the pizza station and chefs preparing. I tried a Hibu craft Italian beer (great to see such options) followed by Burrata & Bruschetta Tomato for starters. We had the Burrata as a vegetarian option, so the meat was substituted with rocket, pesto and a basil garnish. Both dishes were well presented & tasted great! The Burrata was nice and creamy and had a nice soft bounce to it! The Bruschetta could have done with a little more garlic/ olive oil, so do ask the staff if this is how you like yours! For mains we ordered the Ravioli & Porcini Mushroom pizza! The Ravioli albeit tasty, could have done with a little more sauce & a few more pieces (picture shows portion size), however the pizza was satisfying! The tomato sauce had good bold flavour, the mozzarella cheese was stringy (lots of it) and accompanied the mixed mushrooms well. An overall good evening & will return to try something different next time!

Lots of real italians dining when came here which says a lot in it's self. Meal was flawless makes me think never tried the real deal before. Cant recommend highly enough

Based in London's oldest recorded village, Hornsey (1202) this restaurant serves genuine Italian food because it's owned by Italians. Great pizzas and also excellent seafood. Great service and lovely atmosphere. Very friendly to kids. All pasta is homemade. The Fiat 500 seating at the front is sweet.

I’ve been to La Gioconda a few times already and it’s never failed me. Amazing flavours that capture authentic italian cuisine and great, warm staff. Check the specials, they are always worth it! Definitely one of my favourite restaurants in London.

I went to la Gioconda with my girlfriend on Saturday evening.

I think its a best pizza i ever had , even in Italy it didnt taste so good. My husband had a duck with Gniochi and traffle , it was really good as well. Its my fourite spot from now on. Prices very affordable, pizza from £6 !

We go here quiet regularly for lunch and the pizza is absolutely incredible! I highly recommend the CK, the flavour is exquisite. The decor is great and the staff are extremely friendly, relaxed, funny and welcoming.

I’m came back here after 2 years with my family. Same staff working and the food it is even tastier. The wine list is been upgraded with my favourite Italian wine which is The Primitivo of Manduria. I want to thanks the guys for the amazing dinner, my mom was very very happy. We had in the end of dinner a nice and fresh complimentary fruits, grapes and mangos.

We always love coming here. The perfect combination of great food and atmosphere. Recommended: gnocchi with duck, seafood soup and ravioli. Oh and negronis, obviously. The pizzas look great, but what’s special here are the pastas/mains which set it apart from the rest. Delicious! Keep up the great work.

Just moved in north london and discovered the.best pizza in town. Friendly staff and fantastic italian food. Highly recomended if you like genuine italian cousin. The menu as lot.of homemade pasta as well

First of all amazing food, we ordered pizza, pasta and mussels! My dish was the duck in hell pizza, with this amazing unique beetroot & goat cheese ravoli as a side dish (i am greedy). Everything single dish was homemade, which is very rare to see across London. You can taste the authenticity in the first bite and smell it in the atmosphere. I recommend this local gem for any meal desired for the day. And they have a fiat car as table!
