Our place of choice for breakfast and light lunch - excellent value for money, friendly fast service, clean and comfortable

We are two grannies in our 70s who have been banned from here & Stone's just by asking manager Ty where his brother Tony was .He went off in a rant saying we were very rude & to get out & never come back !!!!

First time in this Coffee shop. From the outside and inside decor I was expecting great things, but as soon as I saw all products in individual plastic wrappers I had my doubts. We ordered a Cappuccino and an Affagato with a Blueberry Muffin. The coffee was weak and tasteless and the Muffin was dry!! Needless to say we will not be returning.

La Galerie never fails to please. The manager/owner is so incredibly polite and cannot do enough for you. We have been many times, this is the first time we have ordered a cooked breakfast. It was hot and really good. We would recommend La Galerie to anyone visiting the town, it is well worth the visit.

We had a big breakfast, coffees and juices. Plentiful, hot food. Not top quality but all ok for £8.20. Toast, coffee etc all fine. Nothing exceptional but nothing disaster either.

Visited here today for lunch with friends . Cannot praise the staff enough absolutely fantastic service . No tables when we arrived but one of the staff members got us a little table and chairs to sit on to wait Whilst a table was Made free . Fantastic food and quick service . Nothing was too much trouble would certainly go back again fantastic team and all wearing the correct PPE aswell . Left a tip aswell as it was well deserved . Happy ladies thankyou Nicki

This cafe is convenient and serves great food but I’m feeling disappointed. On two occasions now I’ve pointed out that staff are not wearing their masks correctly . They wear them under their noses which is a waste of time . Sadly I will not be returning here as I don’t feel safe .

We visit this restaurant quite regularly and are never disappointed, especially the coffee frappe. Always prompt service and excellent environment.

Coffee was fine but I was absolutely decussted to fine several hairs in my salad. To be fair I did get a refund but I will definitely not be going in this place again

We love this place! The coffee is always good & strong. We have never been let down by breakfast, full English & full veggie breakfast are our go to choices. The staff are super friendly and everything is well presented.

Good food well prepared. Friendly staff and good value for money. Visited several times and have never been disappointed.

Just had to wait 15 minutes to get served and then another 15 minutes for 2 coffees and a slice of cake. No apology for the slow service. You need more staff on a Saturday!

A wide ranging menu which you order at counter after finding a table.Food came quickly despite the restaurant being full.It was hot and well presented.The staff were very helpful and wanted to make sure you were happy with everything.A very pleasant experience.

La Galerie has become my favourite place to eat/drink in Fareham. Good coffee, tasty food, great value for money and friendly staff.

What a fantastic find on a busy Saturday lunchtime. Friendly staff, efficient service, lots of choice and the food was very good. A decent cup of coffee too.

Shopping in Fareham on a very cold Saturday and looking for a hot lunch, we popped into La Galerie as everywhere else only had sandwiches. We were lucky to get a table, however the staff rushed around and fixed up a table for three.We ordered and the meal took about ten minutes to arrive, the Sausage Baguettes were very hot and very tasty. Our granddaughter ordered a Mushroom omelette which was huge and she said, very nice. The bill with drinks was under £20 so very reasonable.All round a good place to dine.

My coffee was bitter and cold. Need to source better quality coffee beans and serve coffee hot. Outside seating.

Visited here for a nice coffee with family and found the staff very smart and accommodating nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend.

My husband loves the english breakfast that they serve, and their jacket potatoes are lovely. If your in fareham give them a try.

I have eaten here a good few times on my own and with a friend / friends , the staff are so lovely esp the guy who takes your order at till he is just friendly and just brilliant , I prefer a booth as I work in Fareham and when I enter he looks to see if one free n will say you darling take a seat ( he calls alot of ladies darling ) . They bring your food n drinks to you and just like the atmosphere good and staff. I definitely recommend going here .

Went today for the 1st time, I chose a chicken and bacon panini with mayo. Quite disappointed with it as there was hardly any filling, I understand profit margins as I’m a chef but it clearly was not worth nearly £5. My husband had the full breakfast and enjoyed it. The staff were friendly and service quick though. Just felt a bit cheated with my filling.

Coffee shops abound in West Street. This one has outdoor seating and comfortable indoor space. The staff are excellent. Food and drink are brought to your table. Quality very good.

.. on walking up to the cafe I noticed the outside sign could do with a refurb.. I was also put on a back foot when I ordered a sandwich (no choice of bread?) just standard white and there was so much butter on the bread it overpowered the filling .. and really to charge 90p for a cup of hot water was not on ..

La Galerie is a lovely place to go for meals at any time of day. The food is excellent, the staff are very professional, polite and courteous. The staff are very well mannered and nothing is too much trouble. The café is exceptionally clean and the décor is typically French which is lovely. We are frequent visitors and have never been disappointed.

Good coffee and excellent pastries .real French pastries and bread . Would try anything in here as it’s all nice and tasty.

Very friendly staff, clean restaurant, excellent food. We go in here quite regularly for coffee and a baguette, we were recommended, when we were new to the area, and would also recommend.

We pop in most Mondays ,Lovely food and staff attentive . Would be nice to maybe have a stronger tea bag . Maybe invest in some Yorkshire Tea to go with the all day breakfast .

I have been here a number of times now the food is well cooked, the staff are good and the prices are reasonable, very clean inside service is good

In Fareham for an appointment, I had the time to drop into La Galerie for coffee. The premises are light and bright, the seating comfortable and the service efficient. Quite busy on a sunny Friday morning, mainly with local, customers, a good sign. I would certainly call again.

For the 2nd year running we have turned off into Fareham after we have left the ferry from Spain in...

Good choice of menu including breakfast, sandwiches, cakes etc at reasonable prices but I enjoyed a coronation chicken jacket potato...

Ir allí 2 o 3 veces a la semana con mi padre. El padre siempre tiene café siempre tengo coca cola Light. No hay necesidad de orden que nosotros sabemos y hazlo. Gente muy agradable. X

It was a rotten, rainy morning, and partly because of this, we ran in simply to miss the rain and have a quick cup of something or otherWhat a welcome! A cheery service with a smile (and a joke!).Will definitely go when next in the vicinity.

Had some time to kill between meetings and wanted somewhere I could hide away in the corner and have a nice lunch. I had the jacket potato with cheese and beans which was a good size. I then ordered some of the raspberry sponge. The piece was huge and with a cup of tea, still came in under £5. Friendly staff and very efficient.

This is good for a light lunch or snack, limited menu means it is properly best for a toasted sandwich or coffee and a cake

A favourite place of my daughter and me each week. I visit her each Wednesday and no day would be complete without our visit to La Galerie. We always have the English breakfast and the quality is always the same. Wonderful. The staff are charming and attentive and the ambience is warm and inviting. The coffee is perfect. I would thoroughly recommend a visit when you are in Fareham. 10/10.

Called in here by chance as felt a bit peckish. Opted for a Jacket potato. Service was pretty quick. Chap who took the order was friendly and cheerful. Jacket potato was fairly sizeable with a good amount of filling. It remained hot throughout the time it took to eat it and was lovely and light and fluffy so was obviously cooked in an oven not a microwave. Will definitely call here again when in Fareham.

The staff were wondering around not really interested, as not many customers. Ordered a flat white which was too strong and bitter and 1 latte which had to have loads of sugar to have any taste at all. The flat white had to give to my husband and had one mouthful of the latte, left the rest. If this is what "fair trade" has to offer then they can keep it. I don't coffee out very often but think will stick to making coffees at home.

Quick and good food premises very comfortable and clean. Service friendly and pleasant would visit again prices fair.

Decided to have breakfast after we left the ferry so stopped off in Fareham and ordered breakfast at the La Galerie, staff were very good and all food and drink was brought to our table, my wife and I both had the english breakfast although I did go for the larger plate version.All food was well cooked and hot as were the plates. will most definitely go there again.

We visited La Galerie as we thought we'd give it a shot as we were in Fareham and noticed in the window they do breakfasts etc.I had a cooked english breakfast and it was delicious as was the mocha, the staff were helpful and asked us if we'd need a high chair for our baby.The cafe was clean and the decor was nice,classy place,we thouroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and will certainly consider here again in the near future.

We went here for a spot of brunch and fount the food to be average. The coffee was good, but I was disappointed to find that they do not offer a dairy free milk alternative. Very reasonably price, but you get what you pay for. Do not expect to be wowed.

Stopped off for a quick lunch yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the place. The service was quick and efficient and the cafe itself was very relaxing. We both had the a baguette which was tasty but my only criticisms would be that it would be nice to have the option of brown baguette and more pastries since it claims to be a 'French' style cafe.

Not only is the coffee and food excerlant te standard of service is beyond anything else and the hygiene is top class

Pretty good food and service, went if for sausage sandwich and my daughter had a sausage roll. We had coffee and cold drink, wasn't cheap, but was OK for money

Nice cooked breakfast and baguette. Tea is a bag in a cup rather than a pot which is a bit disappointing but otherwise good. Clean eating area and okay service.

We discovered this cafe a while ago and have been regular customers ever since. Great service, great food, great staff. The staff are very welcoming and efficient and, the food is well presented, great value and great quality.

This place is awesome it has plenty of choice on the foods and the coffe here is fabulous very rich and creamy, also very clean

This place seems very overcrowded in my opinion and there isn't much seating inside or outside for that matter.

It's so good, the food is fabulous and the staff are really kind and helpful. We've been a view times now and it's always been really lovely.

We were in Fareham doing some Christmas shopping, when the need and urge for coffee became apparent. We decided on La Galarie and were not disappointed.The coffee was nice. The cheese and onion toastie that was order was nice, with a flavoursome cheese. The price wasn't too bad either. Service was prompt and efficient.The only criticism that I had was the manners employed by the staff. A please or thank you would not go a miss.

Visit regularly for breakfast and coffee, if takeaway 15 % is taken off the food bill, very clean inside and lots ofseating for outside weather permitting

Fantastic as always! Popped in for lunch and had a prawn and crab jacket, chicken mayo baguette and a hot bacon and cheese baguette, all of which were lovely, and extremely nice and very enjoyable. The cafe had a good atmosphere and was busy with people coming in and out at a steady flow. Highly recommend this cafe for lunch!

Great Cafe, with good food, good service and exceptionally clean, what I like about the place is the fact that the staff actually look like they are enjoying being of service. A lesson that national fast food eateries in the area could take note of.

My husband and I were in Fareham, early for an appointment so decided to pop in for a spot of lunch and coffee. What a lovely surprise! The food was fresh, varied and the cappuccino just wonderful - lovely and creamy and with a pretty swirl on the top. The staff were super friendly and even offered to help an older lady to her table with her food. The toilets - well, I have never been into such clean, well decorated and beautifully kept toilets in a cafe. Well done to all - we will definitely be returning!

We tried this establishment for the first time today. I was pleasantly impressed with everything about it. The menu catered for all tastes and pockets and the food was very good. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Will definitely eat here again.

We went back to La Galerie for the second time today and were very glad we did.Very sadly I haven't yet had a chance to try their meals, but the coffee and cakes are wonderful. In addition to our coffees, and a cake for my Uncle, my Mum saw some chips on another table and decided she couldn't resist. She loved them and so, just for research of course, I offered to try a couple. They were delicious and completely freshly cooked. The choice of food on the menu looked great and we can't wait to go back for a lunch.The seating is very comfortable, which may not matter to some, but as I have problems with back pain this can make the difference between a venue being an enjoyable experience or just somewhere to be endured.However, I would suggest the best aspect of La Galerie is the staff. On both visits they have been very friendly, helpful and courteous.

This is a lovely cafe! The food is fantastic with a good choice available. The service is always good and the staff are helpful, friendly and very welcoming. This is a great place to have lunch and I'm sure we will be visiting again very soon!

I visited La Galerie for the first time today, with a group of friends. We were a largish party and the staff made a special effort with the seating, to enable us all to sit together. All staff were courteous and polite. Food lovely and fresh and coffee good too. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Will definitely visit again.

I came here with a friend when I visited from Liverpool. We enjoyed a lovely coffee that was made to perfection (I'm a restaurant manager my self and I would be proud to serve them) There was a very difficult woman who was causing a scene with some other customers. The front of house manager dealt with the situation brilliantly despite her persisting with disruption. I highly recommend a visit

Like being on holiday Great coffee, very fresh baguettes with crisp lettuce the staff are so helpful and polite and it is always very clean.

Another great breakfast ham and cheese panini and tuna mayo panini, coffees. All served perfectly and very tasty. Very good value for money.

This seems to be a new name on the high street. Cafe with outside seating on the precinct. Take advantage of this on a sunny day. Reasonable service and prices. Good looking food served to your table.
