La Divina Restaurant in Islington

What a lovely, intimate place to eat! Loved every minute here. Parts of it are quite quirky, in the nicest possible way - one table had Lambretta-style vehicle (I'm too old to know the correct name!) underneath it. There are lovely film posters from days gone by on the walls - such a relaxing ambience. The food was fabulous. The wine was very good. Service was efficient, prompt, friendly. We couldn't have chosen better. It also does really good deliveries as well. Absolutely would recommend eating here if you like Italian food - pizza was super.

We booked on table on Valentine's Day! The restaurant was busy, but not crowded. The atmosphere was lovely. The food was excellent: A special Valentine's Day menu which was reasonably priced. The garlic mushrooms for starters and the chicken and pasta were excellent. The wine was superb and the service excellent. We are going to eat there again tomorrow as it was so wonderful!

It‘s a very americanized interpretation of an italian restaurant. Generally the food was good, the mushrooms were delicious but the Linguine were rather bland but the caramel pannacotta was amazing! The service was very friendly and quick but the too loud edm music made the atmosphere sometimes a bit weird

Although the restaurant had a beautiful design, the food was not tasty at all. It left me wondering if the chef even tasted it before serving. While Italian cuisine is known for its delicious flavors, this experience unfortunately fell short. However, the waiters were absolutely lovely and provided excellent service.

Excellent service and really delicious food. My favourite dish, Manzo Al Barolo (sirloin steak) with vegetables and a delicious sauce for the steak.

First time ordering from here on Uber Eats, and it did not disappoint! Ordered: Carbonara, Linguine Con Pollo, Toscana pizza, Calamari Fritti and Gamberoni Fritti. What I would recommend: Linguine Con Pollo and Gamberoni Fritti. I absolutely loved their Linguine Con Pollo! It was so creamy and delicious. I usually find most Italian restaurants to lack a lot of sauce in their pasta, but this place had a good amount of sauce! I also loved their Gamberoni Fritti; they were so fresh and crispy! The Carbonara, Toscana pizza and Calamari Fritti were lovely too! I honestly don't have anything negative to write about this place. I also received a free gift box full of 5 small cans of Schweppes, which I thought was such a lovely gesture! I've tried a few Italian restaurants around London and this one is my favourite so far!

I’m not really an Italian restaurant type of guy. But me and my friend were pleasantly surprised at how welcoming, friendly and authentic the place was.

Food was poor, much better Italian food out there! Expensive too, wouldn’t waste your money! The staff were super nice and service was quick so can’t fault them there!

The choice of food is great. We all chose different food and every dish was superb. Really liked the atmosphere. The service was absolutely fantastic: friendly, efficient, there when you wanted but not when you didn’t ! Can’t recommend it enough.

An excellent dining experience! We had initially booked for 24, but on the night we'd reached 29 of us. The staff were very accommodating. The food was great and the staff couldn't do enough for us. It's amazing that such a young crew of staff were so attentive. Well done!

Was really looking forward to dining here after reading so many good reviews. However, after we were seated we waited 20 minutes and no one came to take our order so we left. I understand it was a busy time being a Saturday and all, but some acknowledgement to being there would have made us wait a bit longer before leaving.

The good was excellent, cosy decor and vibe. Staff happy to see you and attentive.

We have been in so many restaurant in upper street but la divina is our favourite. one their management and people working there are always give us such a huge welcome and warmth we really like the atmosphere there and anytime when I'm of work I always can't wait to go there

Great food and great service. I ate here twice. One was for take away and this time I sat down and enjoyed a Pasta Al Salmone - Tagliatelle pasta and salmon with pink sauce.

We love this restaurant and have visited a few times since we discovered it. Always welcomed in with a smile. Service is just right, not rushing you to order within seconds of sitting down but not slack either. Interior is older in style but is warm and comfy. Lots of old movie star pics and cinema posters on walls. Food is excellent, good Italian pasta, and good value for your money.

I arrived at Cafe Divina in Upper St Islington on a Sunday evening with a friend prior to seeing a production at The Kings Head. We only had 45 minutes to eat so time was tight. We were accommodated immediately......and the Spaghetti Carbonara was one of THE BEST I've ever eaten! Vino lovely too. Great food....great service and ideally located for both The Almeida & Kings Head theatres

I must say ., I’ve been couple of times in this warm welcoming cool place and that they do super yummy food ! Definitely the best Italian in the area .

I visited the area to go down memory lane, where my family grew up, and stumbled along this restaurant, and wow the food was exceptional, we also needed to be somewhere after and was served so quickly, the staff was so welcoming and friendly, I would 💯 come back and highly recommend

I went for lunch today, I got the bruschetta and the arrabiatta pasta. The chef decide to put parsley instead of basilic. I can’t have parsley so I couldn’t eat the pasta, end up paying £17 for bruschetta

I order a food delivery, the calzone with some sides and desserts. Everything was going perfectly, however when I was in the middle of my main, I notice a piece of aluminum inside of the dough. Thankfully I notice on time and didn't consume it but it must be share since it's a risk. This was a sad experience since I thought the taste of the food was very good, they should be more careful with the food check.

Food was great the only thing that was lacking was any form of good service. Although quick to serve there was a strong atmosphere of discontent from all the wait staff who promptly ignored all of those dining and left us to go inside to ask them all for the bill whilst they were doing the important job of standing and chatting with one another. We had to offer up the knowledge that my partner has an allergy as otherwise this I’m sure would’ve been unasked leaving a possible contamination risk. If you want good Italian food with miserable wait staff this would be your perfect establishment!

Excellent service. Exceptional saltimbocca with a devine sauce and perfect vegetables. Very well flavoured. An excellent plate of food! Well done! Empty plate- what more can I say! Just had dessert- the crumble - omg - again exceptional ! Best ever !

I will give an absolute five star to this restaurant. From the moment I saw posters of Fellini and Italian movies I knew it’s the place. We hold a birthday party for a friend here, and every staff is soooo sweet and nice and considerable to do the celebration. I would like to tell staff your tattoos are so cool but I ‘m Asian and I always got shy hhh. Food is great and we particularly love the seafood pasta. Anyway it’s so nice to spend a sunny afternoon here in London, and I recommend this restaurant with all my heart.

Attended here with new work place to celebrate a retirement, the staff went all out to ensure we will catered for, allowed us to decorate how we wanted, great touch, food also lovely, had the 2 course lunch menu, garlic mushrooms and penne arrabbiata. Great send off for a colleague and great little place.

Food was not bad at all. I had seafood linguini my friend had a ravioli we also had a tricolore salad and chocolate brownie by following. Service was fast.A bit too fast:) Anyway it was a Satisfying experience. Recommend it.

Really cute please, nice vibes and friendly staff but the food was absolutely tasteless - ordered the risotto and it tasted of nothing, the mozzarella garlic bread had way too much tomato on it. Essentially, nice ambience but sub par food which is a shame because this place could be a gem

Visited here Saturday evening, two of us, no prior booking. Both ordered pasta dishes, one meatball, one seafood with side of garlic pizza bread. Food was incredible and flavour was bang on! Service friendly too, attentive and welcoming. Was everything we wanted. Only slight critique is we both felt the portions could've been just a touch bigger, but maybe we're just greedy guys! Would definitely come here again for a chilled afteroon/evening meal.

I am delighted with the Carbonara pasta ! It has become my go-to dinner option while at work, I know I should try a different one but it is my favourite!

Went there after attending a show in Business Design Centre. It was 8 of us and all us of enjoyed our food. It was pretty busy as there was another big group of families with kids. My lasagne was amazing and i had chocolate brownie. For the service and quality of food they seem to be cheap … I shall try them again in the evening especially the al fresco area when the weather is better

I don't think many people know what good food is. This is one of the worst Italians I've been to! Vapiano's is better. Lasagne was dry and literally was frozen bought. No flavour. Expensive and dissapointing. Avoid
