I was on vacation in Luton, and I went to the restaurant almost every day. I can say that everything is superlative, fast service, hot and very tasty food. The soups are full of meat, the octopus is cooked just right, the shawarma is downright delicious. I will definitely come back.

If you want to feel the taste of authentic Romanian food, this is the right place. The food is always hot and particularly tasty. Personally, I have nothing to complain about, they treat you like a book. It is worth trying and you will definitely fall in love with this restaurant.

A warm and quiet place, intimate and relaxing, with extremely friendly and sincere people. If you happen to be in the area it is imperative to stop by, the food is excellent! You won t regret. On my next trip to London, I will especially take the train one stop back especially for this restaurant. As I said, the food prepared here tastes fabulous. A special mention for the people who take care of this place. I thank them from the bottom of my heart!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Romanian restaurant La Mama Shaworma & Grill and I must say that the experience was remarkable. The place manages to perfectly combine the Romanian culinary tradition with the welcoming atmosphere. As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted by an authentic and warm decor, with traditional Romanian elements that remind you of your grandparents' house. The staff are very friendly and attentive, offering prompt and professional service. We really appreciated the willingness of the waiters to recommend the best dishes from the menu. The menu is varied, offering a wide range of traditional Romanian dishes, from soups and sarmales, to the famous small but also fish and other delicious dishes such as papanasii. We started with a smoked bean soup which was simply delicious with balanced flavors and the perfect texture. We also tried small ones, which were juicy and well browned, served with mustard and fresh bread. Desserts are not to be missed, especially the papanas, which are fluffy and served with sour cream and cherry jam, a real treat. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. The portions are generous, so you're sure to leave full and satisfied. La Mama Shaworma & Grill is the ideal place for those who want to enjoy traditional Romanian food in a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. I have ordered a few times and each time the food has been fresh and tasty. I have only words of praise... The only minus is that they don't have blueberry jam for papanasi, the cherry one doesn't put me off personally😭, I still hope there will be a blueberry option in the future. Anyway, overall, the food is great. I recommend. Update: I ordered now and received papanasi with blueberry jam 🥰😍!! Thank you. The food as usual, score 10. 🥰🥳

After passing in front of this place so many times, I decided to stop and God did I enjoy the food. This is authentic Romanian food with no frills. Simple, delicious and yes, it's got that oil soaked up in all the amazing flavours that take me straight back to my grandma's kitchen. Dip your bread in it and take it all in, you won't be disappointed. Finger licking delicious!!! The staff was lovely, the service was quick. There are options for people fasting for religious reasons (mâncare de post) and menus in both English and Romanian are available. The photos don't do it justice.

I loved the food in this restaurant, the lady who attended us was really sweet and offered us straight away the English menu so we could understand better the options, they have halal options in the menu as well ,the place is really clean and we both ate for about 20£ with drinks, I really recommend it :)

I loved their Vegan Shawarma, and my mother loved the Belly Soup. She has previously come here but couldn't remember the place, and was delighted to find that not only her old favourite was finally found, but that they remained just as good! She also praised something I didn't notice initially: you can see how clean the place is by looking through how spotless the windows are.

Am cumparat acum 2 shaorma la farfurie carnea uscata fara nici un gust cartofi la fel nici un gust ,castraveti murati stricati,sosul casei avea un gust foarte amar !! Foarte dezamagit nu voi mai comanda niciodata de la voi !!

Mâncarea de foarte proasta calitate și prețuri mari nu merita nici măcar o steluță!!! Pomana porcului foarte uscata deși puseseră mujdei de usturoi sa mai mascheze usciunea cărnii . Platoul de doua persoane carnea arsa și foarte uscata, cartofii prăjiți foarte uscați și foarte sărați. Papanași ( erau necopți) nu arătau și nici nu aveau gust de papanasi mai degrabă erau gogoși cumparate din comerț și adăugat un pupic de smântâna și un pic de gem. Nu recomand și nici nu o sa mai revin cu comenzi!!

The thing you’re seeing on top of the food is freaking oil!!! Is floating in it.. is this your idea of food?! I won’t even mention that the food came after more than an hour from ordering. It’s not London! I can understand Romanian food as I am Romanian. But I can’t undershot can you leave this amount of oil on a dish! Absolutely disappointing and disgusting. Mancare nu mai este asa buna ca si la inceput. Am comandat 4 ciorbe A'La Grec si 3 din ele nu au avut nici o bucatica de carne si una a avut 2 bucatele mici.Apa chioara. Am avut si una care trebuia sa fie de burta dar abia am putut gasi o bucatica de burta in ea.Pe mine m-ati pierdut de client.

We ordered schnitzel and fried fish with polenta. Firstly I like about this place that the dishes have home cooking flavour. Schnitzel was what a schnitzel was but cabbage salad and patatoe pure was full of flavour. The fish was good but bony. I like the garlic sauce given with fish instead of fish or polenta/butter mix (given near the fish). There wasn’t any ventilation system and small seating area was really hot because of electric cookers but I think it was a temporary problem. The Romanian lady was very friendly and helpful. Thank you for this delicious meal.

Cea mai buna shaworma. Punct. Trebuie sa mergi sa te convingi. Eu nu am incercat altceva dar shaworma e bestiala. Fac si delivery dar eu nu am folosit acest serviciu. Eu sun si merg sa iau comanda in 7-8 minute. Probabil voi incerca si altceva din meniu cand ma satur de shaworma asta buna :)
